[color=39b54a][/color]Jax danced around wildly twisting and moving off-kilter to the beat when Morthos leaned in to say something. She barely heard him but understood he was looking for a drink when he did the hand motion. She nodded watching head off towards the bar. The song switched to another, but her dancing was still as free as before. The tune was something just as fast-paced, but the singer was female and the base was more vibrant. A few seconds later Morthos was back, his movements wilder and looser. His eyes were slightly glazed and Jax figured he had something strong. She laughed, following his movements, letting go of her reservations a bit as she moved up close to him. She grabbed his hands dancing with him awkwardly, as she pulled them towards her then away from her. She laughed as they both awkwardly took over the dance floor. She was shocked that so many people were watching them. They must be really good. She smiled at Morthos, feeling really good at the moment like everything was what it should be when suddenly she felt a body behind her. Arms wrapped around her waist and she turned looking over her shoulder into ice blue eyes and black hair.Remington. She felt his lips against her ear, his English accent breaking through the noise as he spoke, "You shouldn't have come back here. The temptation is a cruel mistress, love."

Jax eyed Morthos for a minute, putting a finger up to say she would be right back. She turned in Remington's arms and brought her green eyes back to his putting her hand around his neck to pull him down and bite his ear, "Filthy tease. You only get one ticket for the ride, darling, and you've already had your turn. The temptation is cruel handsome, but love..that's downright evil. Now go find a new toy, I'm busy with someone."

She pushed him away, smiling up at him kindly as a bandmate came up to pull on his arm. He leaned down, "Devil boy might make you hot love, but just remember who can send a chill right up that pretty little spine of yours." He pulled her close kissing her roughly before he set her down on her feet, "I'll see you in a bit."

His eyes moved up to see Morthos behind her and he gave him a cocky smile before he moved towards the stage. Jax took a breath, feeling her heartbeat for a minute before she turned back to Morthos. She shook her head and came up to him rolling her eyes, "Sorry, an old flame. I'm gonna get another drink."

She headed towards the bar, touching her lips. A chill was right, that boy knew exactly how to make a girl remember a kiss. She was turned on, but somehow she also felt so empty. As if something was missing. Her thoughts went over to the kiss she had with Morthos again and she blushed, soo...different. She pulled out some solars then placed them on the bar, "Two goblin blasters and whatever potion you've given to that guy."

A large man in a gold jumpsuit with blue hair and three nose rings was feeling himself on the dancefloor, swinging his body around like a beautiful unicorn. Mackie laughed, "Sure pigeon, just be mindful what he had affects people differently. Be careful."

Jax rolled her eyes and waited for him to pour, "Sure sure." When he was finished she picked up the shots and downed them easily. She bit her lip shivering before she picked up the potion and looked over to an Atlantian girl beside her, "Cheers!" The girl laughed, picking up her own green drink with webbed fingers and clinked Jax's glass. They both downed it and Jax howled, "WOO!" She stood up, taking a moment to catch herself before she walked over to Roxas and Ophelia, interrupting the?, "Hey guys! Having fun? I feel..um..I don't know. Do I look okay? I feel really nervous. You don't think people are looking at me funny, do you?"

She shrunk slightly in on herself looking timid and shy.This behavior was very un-Jax like as her confident withered away as a result of the potion, "I really shouldn't be out like this. Oh, Maise is here! Um. Hi Maise..."

She waved to her friend looking around nervously as she pulled her arms behind her and looked at her feet. Maise walked over with the other girls, taking a step back, "Girl, what did you take? You look like a delicate flower."

Jax blushed, "I took..a potion or something...I feel weird. I'll be fine. I think. It just has to wear off. I guess. I'm not that smart when it comes to potions. Okay, this is weird. I am awesome at everything, why am I doubting that? Stop looking at me!"

Maise suddenly started to laugh and so did Jax, albeit a bit more awkwardly. She turned to Roxas and Ophelia, "So uh..now that the girls are here we should work on getting Morthos a hot lady!"

Right before he could even say anything, Ophelia pulled Roxas to the dance floor. He was quite surprised at her reaction and started dancing with her. He grabbed onto her hips and ran his hands up and down her sides as they danced together. The biggest smiled crossed his face for a while, thinking about the fact that this was maybe the second time that a beautiful woman had danced with him. The way she danced wasn't like herself though, but figured it was the drugs. All he did was smile and dance with Ophelia until Jax came up and started talking about her friends and that they needed to find Morthos a lady.

Roxas had completely forgotten about that. He was having way to much fun with his girlfriend to even think about Morthos finding someone. So much for being a wingman right off the bat. It didn't really matter though. Roxas never had much fun so when he did, he enjoyed it as much as possible. "I guess, but you're coming with me beautiful." He smiled then kissed Ophelia as he answered her. "Unless you want to go with your friends over there?" He nodded towards Jax and the other girls.

Still smiling, he looked over at Morthos and motioned for him to come over closer to him. Ophelia was still dancing against Roxas as Morthos got closer. "Is there anyone aside from Jax that catches your eye? I know this isn't really what you want to do, but it'll make Jax happy that you're trying. Maybe I really don't know what she will think, but still." Looking around Roxas didn't really see anyone that he himself would be attracted to, but that being said no one could be better than Ophelia. He was undoubtedly in love with her and he knew it. His lust for her was strong, but he could resist it. Besides they hadn't even been on a first date yet. 'Oh god' He though. 'Where would we even go for our first date?' Any thought of helping Morthos out went out the door as the thought of how many places they could go flooded into his brain. He tried to stay focused on Morthos, but was having a really hard time. 'We could take a walk out in the woods by my house or pack a picnic. There's also dinner and I'm sure she wouldn't mind shopping. Nor would I in that fact. No stop stop you can think about that later. Right now you need to focus on helpping Morthos.' The battle in his head was intence going back and forth between his first date with Ophelia and helpping Morthos. Roxas had never been on a first date before so it was a little overwhelming to him. Faintly he could hear Ifrit in the back of his head laughing at him. He paid him no mind though since his prison was now reinforced thanks to Jax.

Thinking about that snapped him back into reality. He owed Jax so the least he could do was help Morthos out for her. Noticing that Ophelia was still dancing, he just kept dancing with her waiting for Morthos to reply to him. Roxas was half expecting him to just say not to worry about it, that he just wanted to enjoy himself and have fun with Jax and her friends. It was a low chance he thought, but it could happen. Being the only sober one did have its ups. For one he could laugh at the others being all over the place and the other was that it would make it way easier to talk to the lady's for Morthos as he smoothed them onto him. He'd have to make sure Ophelia knew that he was just helping out Morthos so she didn't rip some random womans head off. He knew that sober Ophelia would't, but he wasn't sure about high Ophelia. Whatever she had was hitting her hard. Should be an interesting night to say the least.

Morthos was dancing on his own for a few moments before he even realized Jax had left him because her friends had arrived. He noticed Roxas motioning him to come over so he danced his way over, hardly listening to what he was saying. Something about if any of Jax's friends caught his eye. "You just have a good time with Ophelia my man, I'm feeling good," Morthos was shimmying as he spoke, whatever he had it was doing wonders for him. He knew exactly how he'd start off with the girls as well, his Prestidigitation spell allowed him to create almost anything, as long as it wasn't edible.

He shimmied his way over to the bar with the girls while an upbeat song played. "Hello ladies, what's in your hands, I have it, it's dangerous, it's fire," he held up his hand and had created a small flame. "Look down, back up, the fire is now roses," when the looked down he flourished his hand and created a wooden rose for each of them. "Be careful though, much like you, these roses are," he licked his thumb and index finger pinching one of the stems, it sizzled and some steam came off, "hot. Morthos Xerxes, pyromancer extraordinaire, at your service." Morthos was having a great time with his little magic tricks, he should get totally smashed more often.

As the music turned up to a ten, Jax ordered a few more drinks to try to get rid of the timid attitude provided by the potion. She was halfway through a second when she witnessed Morthos' 'magic.' The drink was spat out as soon as she saw the wooden roses, her laughter getting out of control as she watched him. She held her gut, leaning over when suddenly Uma, her fairy friend spoke up, clutching the little rose to her cheek, "Toasty! Jeez Jax where have you been hiding this one."

Jax shrugged, "Umm...just found him on the street...I guess. I mean I HAVEN'T BEEN HIDING HIM!"

Maise laughed, "He is mighty fine. I haven't seen your colouring before cutie. You single?"

Jax spoke up before he could, "NO! I mean..yes..duh. He is definitely single. I'm crazy! Crazy Jax LALALALALALA!"

Uma raised an eyebrow then turned to Morthos, "Single eh! Wanna dance then devil boy! You cool with that Jax?"

Jax was about to say something when Maise laughed, "Don't worry Uma, Jax doesn't date. Just for the night or not at all. Go have fun."

Uma giggled grabbing Morthos' hand and began dragging him to the dance floor. Jax watched as Uma got up close and personal, grinding up close against Morthos. Jax felt a stab of something hit her heart and she turned back around downing her drink and shutting her eyes, "You want to go dance Maise?"

She didn't hear a response so she turned around to see Maise playing eye candy with an orc across the bar, "Maybe in a bit. You cool if I go play?"

Jax smiled at her, "Go get him, girl. Don't do anything I wouldn't do."

With that she was alone. Even Razer was off chatting with another girl. She turned to look at Morthos and Uma her expression sober. She was quiet and regardless of the people surrounding her, feeling lonely. The room slightly spun as she sipped Maise's leftover drink. She shook her hair out, taking another peek at Morthos and Uma. Suddenly a little Jax with Angel wings popped up on her shoulder, her voice was soft but very high, "Ignore it, Jax. You told the guy to piss off and Remington is on stage. Look at him, he's pretty and is totally willing to take your time."

Jax looked up at Remington, "Yes he is pretty...Angel Jax! I mean that hair..and that voice."

Suddenly a Jax in a little devil costume popped up on her other shoulder, her voice scratchy and sultry, "Don't listen to that god gobbling twat biscuit. You've had Remington before. You haven't had Morthos yet. That kiss was smoldering and you know it. Don't settle for the ice when you could have some devil heat!"

Jax nodded wickedly, "You're right Devil Jax. I haven't had him yet. I should rip Uma away from him and kiss him until he begs for his mama!"

The angel spoke up, "That was very rude you insidious pestilence. You can't have Morthos, Jax. You will break his heart. Plus he is having a fun time with Uma. This is what you wanted. Remington is hot stuff! Look he's staring at you!"

Jax gave an overly wide smile at Remington as he looked at her, "You're right Angel Jax..Uma is great. She volunteers to feed orphans! I hate children. She's sweet and kind, very pretty. Delicate..no scars. I should be happy he is moving on."

The devil spoke in Jax's ear, "YOU SHOULD BE HAPPY TO HAVE HER ROT IN GOBLIN PISS! YOU ARE A MILLION TIMES HOTTER THEN HER AND THAT BITCH IS GOING AFTER YOUR MAN! YEAH, I SAID IT! WE SHOULD STAPLE TAMPON'S TO HER HAIR AND DROWN HER IN GARBAGE."

Jax and the angel both looked at the devil and Jax spoke quietly, "Did someone hurt you, Devil Jax? You seem like you have some issues."

The angel followed up, "Yeah man. That's messed up!"

The devil took a seat on Jax's shoulder, "You're right. I've been seeing a therapist about my anger issues. Dr. Phelman. He says it's a mom issue. I have to just take my breaths"

Jax shook her head, "That's great devil-Jax! I cheer for you. Now, you guys are making very valid points but honestly Uma is awesome! Morthos and her will get along great. Super great. REALLY GREAT! YES!"

Mackie looked over at Jax with a confused expression as she sat there talking to her shoulders, "Dina is going to kill me!"

Jax stood up and grabbed her drink downing the remains before she headed towards the dancefloor moving towards Ophelia and Roxas, "I AM HAVING THE BEST TIME! HOLY BANANA WAFFLES!!!" She paused after a few minutes, "Umm...I don't feel so.." Suddenly she bolted towards the bathroom barely entering a stall before she began throwing up everything she had eaten that day.

Jax gripped the porcelain roughly letting everything go as her head began to pound violently. She felt Ophelia's presence behind her and let her help her with her hair. She moaned into the bowl the smell of puke filling her airspace. She pulled back after the worst of it was over and whimpered pitifully, "I had to drink otherwise I would interrupt him..SHE'S NOT EVEN AS PRETTY AS ME. I..home. We need to go home."

She took the glass of water from Ophelia and sipped it slowly before she stood up feeling immediately dizzy. She fell against the stall wall and rolled so her forehead was against the graffiti, "I need a minute." She took a few breaths then moved back and turned to the door. She held onto Ophelia's shoulders before she noticed Uma leaning into kiss Morthos. Without warning, she let go of Ophelia and ran at Uma full force slamming into her so she hit the floor hard. Uma screamed in pain and Jax rolled to the side her eyes fully green as she sat on the ground. Uma sat up and glared at Jax with furious pink eyes, "What the hell is wrong with you?"

Jax breathed in slowly shaking her head when she fully realized what she had just done. She looked over at Uma then up to Morthos wide-eyed feeling immediately guilty and confused. She looked away from him her cheeks bright red as she stared at the ground in utter confusion speaking mostly to herself, "I..I don't know. I have no fucking idea. I'm sorry. I have to go."

She stood up quickly pushing past people as she ran for the door, rounding the corner so she could get to the alleyway. She tripped over some garbage falling into some loose trash bags where she lay her drunken stupour clouding over her sanity again. She looked around before beginning to laugh wildly tears falling down her cheeks.

Morthos was having a great time with Uma, she was really cute, but that kind of came with the territory being a fairy and all. This is what Roxas was talking about, just have a good time with some other girl, Jax just wanted to be friends so fine, that's what they could be. Uma started leaning in to kiss him and he was ready to kiss her. Maybe to spite Jax, maybe just to see if her kiss was any different, hell, maybe he actually wanted to and it had nothing to do wit Jax. But he wasn't going to find out because Jax ran up and basically shoulder checked Uma to the ground like they were playing full contact hockey.

Morthos went to help up Uma and was going to help Jax next but she ran off before he had the chance. He may be heavily intoxicated but he still cared about Jax. "I'm sorry Uma, I'll go check on her, I've still had a great time though." He gave her a peck on the lips then ran after Jax, finding her laying in some garbage in the alley. "Jax....." he just trailed off, he didn't know what to say. Mindlessly flirting with girls he had just met, that was easy. Trying to help Jax though, that was something else entirely.

Jax lay in the garbage laughing when suddenly Morthos' voice broke through her hysterics. She tried to slow down her laughter, her howls turning into light giggles to nothing within a few seconds. She took in a breath and looked up at him, a banana peel rolling down onto her hair. She paused shutting her eyes before she rolled onto the pavement. She took a few moments getting to her feet then turned to look at Morthos, her eyes slightly glazed and her walk slightly awkward. She let out a breath before speaking. Her voice was slightly slurred, as she looked up at him, "I'm a mess..and a hypocrite. I can't believe I just did that. You probably are confused. As you should be. I'm confused. I don't do this. BOYS DON'T DO THIS TO ME! I DO THIS TO BOYS!"

She looked at the ground, her thoughts running away from her, "Did you kiss her? NO! NO! DON'T ANSWER THAT! YOU SHOULD HAVE. GO BACK IN THERE AND KISS HER! NO WAIT! UGH!" She put her hands in her hair in exasperation as she tried not to pass out. She took a step forward and leaned against him, whispering, "Why is it so different with you?"

She lifted her head up her green eyes looking up at him with pure confusion. She leaned forward whispering very very quietly, "If you don't stop me. I'm going to break your heart...and your gonna break mine." She shut her eyes resting her forehead against his. The moment to kiss him was there. She felt the pull, the tension. She craved it. Needed it. She just had to lean forward... She paused, then rolled her face aside leaning into his neck, "Can we say that this is just drunken gibberish and go back to before I lost my shit?"

Morthos wrapped his arms around Jax and held her in an embrace, she was giving off a lot of mixed signals to him, but he couldn't just ignore what she had done. "Jax, I know how being drunk works," he said quietly, "it doesn't make you say things you don't mean, just things you may not normally say. I'm off my rocker tonight, and I can tell you that I won't break your heart."

He pushed her away slightly and cupped one of his hands on her cheek, "what happened to you Jax? Why is something like being with me so hard for you? Is there someone else? Jax I can be whatever you need me to be for you, but you seem to want me to only be your friend while at the same time not being with someone else."

He suddenly felt a burp coming on, he looked away from Jax and let out a belch, fire coming along with it, "oh right, that's why I don't drink." He looked at Jax and just smiled, "couldn't you just give me a chance? How many guys do you know who also double as personal space heaters?" He chuckled at the joke but his heart wasn't in it, so he sighed, "you don't have to answer now, but maybe think about it? If you give me a chance maybe you'll stop feeling conflicted and won't have to tackle your friends anymore." With that he turned around to head back inside.

Roxas watched as Ophelia followed Jax into the bathroom. He knew what was going on in there and wanted no part in it. He was not looking forward to what was coming next. Especially since Morthos was with another woman and Jax was drunk as hell. 'Think is why I don't get drunk.' Roxas muttered to himself and immediately started thinking of where everyone was going to stay tonight. After a few minutes of waiting Jax and Ophilea came back out of the bathroom. Jax looked like hell. The moment she looked over at Morthos, Jax ran over and body checked the poor girl. It all happened so fast the girl went down and Jax got up and bolted outside then Morthos followed. 'I knew this was going to happen. What a bright idea guys. Getthe two people who obvliosly love each other drunk then stick the man to another woman. Classic.'

Roxas was getting annoyed now and figured he'd give the two of them a few minutes before he went out there and dragged them both back home. Once Morthos was gone out the door, he walked over to the poor girl. "I'm sorry for Jax. I don't know why I'm apologizing for her since she brought this on herself, but there you have it." After a quick smile he headed over to Ophelia. "Are you okay? Don't worry about Jax I'll take care of both of them. If you are able just meet me at my house I'll take them both there, if not I'll come back in and get you and we'll all go. I have enough crap in my medicine cabinet to bring an angel back to life." he quickly gave her a kiss then followed after Jax and Morthos.

Jax remained silent, biting her lip to hold back her words as he was speaking. When he finally turned to go back to the club she lifted her arm to grab his hand, but then she pulled it away, calling out to him instead, "Morthos!" She gave him a small smile sobering up slightly, "I'll think about it...honestly. Just don't wait too long. I'm not worth it."

She looked towards the street wondering how the hell she was going to get home when she suddenly saw Roxas come out with an angry annoyed glare on his face. She panicked, running over to a garbage can and jumped onto the edge. She slipped falling head in, her boots kicking out awkwardly as she tried to re-adjust herself. She stood up and looked at Roxas before grabbing the lid and lowering it over her head, "Jax isn't here right now. Leave a message after the beep. Beep!"

She sat quietly in the dark, noting a homeless goblin was giving her a look at the other end of the can. She blinked at him for a few minutes, before waving at him with a smile.

Roxas opened the door and heard the tail end of a conversation he was glad he missed. He looked at Morthos who looked like he was having a rough time and placed his hand on his shoulder. "Go to my place for tonight." He said gently to him. "I'll take care of her don't worry just focus on getting to my place and take a hot shower in the guest room. It's up the stairs you can't miss it." He smiled softly then let him go. As Morthos walked back inside, Roxas shifted his focus back on Jax. "Jax I know you're in there so come on out." There was a silence then Jax opened the lid slightly to look at him then closed it and answered. "Jax isn't hear right now. Leave a message after the beep. Beep." Roxas just sighed and flung open the garbage bin door. "You and I are going to have a talk." He glared at her and while she still sat under in the garbage bin.

Jax gave a squeak as the lid was flung open. She stared up at Roxas with puppy dog eyes, "I just wanted to have a fun time." She stood up slowly a piece of floppy celery tangled in her hair, "I didn't want to ruin the night...or turn crazy. HEY QUIT THAT!"

She turned to the goblin who was using a stick to push at her dress, "I will unleash hell on you little man." She was about to kick him when she felt Roxas pulling her out of the garbage. Once her feet hit the ground she kicked at the tin the lid falling down onto the can leaving the goblin in the dark. She then turned to Roxas, still obviously very drunk, "Can we just pretend I didn't make a complete fool of myself and skip the lecture. I'm drunk!"

She did a small dance, trying to charm Roxas into just taking her home but she could see by his expression that he wasn't buying it.

Roxas helped Jax out of the can. She was still quite drunk and trying to get out of what was coming to her. "No we aren't going to pretend that nothing happened. You could have really hurt that woman for one, not like I care though. You made a complete fool of yourself." He was pretty frusterated, but knew how to keep his cool. So he spoke low and smooth. "What the hell is wrong with you Jax. You're freaking out Ophelia and chasing away the only man that probably loves you for you and not your body." His eyes going red. "Now listen I get that you wanted to have a good time tonight, but if you didn't want Morthos with another girl then you should have said so. That ones on you." He walked up to Jax and stopped her dancing. "Look at me Jax. I know we had a rough start as being friends, but we are now. You helped me now let me help you. Or at least confide in me. I mean honestly who am I going to tell."

Jax stopped dancing, wincing as he spoke but knowing he was right. She was being selfish to her friends and cruel to Morthos and Uma. She looked at him with a look of defeat, shivering slightly as the cold air hit her. She looked at him closely. She didn't really know him. Hell, she just truly met him a night ago. How could she trust him so soon? She spoke evenly the booze probably helping her as she spoke evenly, "I use boys I don't care about because it's safer. No feelings. No problem."

She pulled away from him looking him dead in the face anger filling her features, "At the end of the day no one is ever...EVER GOING TO HURT ME AGAIN ROXAS! NOT SOME STUPID BOY. NOT SOME DEMON. I WILL NEVER EVER LET ANYONE TOUCH ME LIKE THAT AGAIN. DO YOU HEAR ME! I WILL NEVER LET SOMEONE DO ANYTHING LIKE THAT AGAIN!"

She stopped her eyes widening as she looked at him, "Don't tell Ophelia. PLEASE ROXAS KEEP THAT INFORMATION TO YOURSELF OR I WILL NEVER EVER TALK TO YOU AGAIN DO YOU HEAR ME."

She rubbed her face, tears rolling down her cheeks, "Oh god. I shouldn't have told you that. I can't believe I just said that. I don't even know you."

Roxas stood and watched as Jax was yelling and then crying begging him not to tell Ophelia what she just said. "Jax I'm not going to ask you what happened to you. If you want to tell me that fine I'm here to listen." He sat her down on the step then sat next to her. "Look I'm not going to tell you what to do or how to feel or anything like that. You are you're own person and you are going to do whatever you want regardless of what anyone says. You know how I know that? Because that's what I would do and I have a pretty good idea that we are relatively similar." He leaned forward to look Jax in the eyes. "Jax you are a pretty great person. No matter what, you've got family and friends behind you. Ophelia will always be by your side and you've got me now too. I mean without you I probably would't be alive right now."

Roxas started to stand and held out his hand for Jax to grab onto. "Listen Jax. If you do give Morthos a chance and he does break your heart. I'll unleash all of hell on him and make him regret he was ever born. Sound like a plan?" He flashed her a smile and his eyes changed back to normal.

Jax listened quietly, her sniffles filling the air as she wiped her eyes. She watched him evenly and once he was finished she took his hand and stood up, "I appreciate your words Roxas..and your friendship. I just.. I am not ready. I'm not ready for him and I'm not ready to take that risk. When I am though..I might take you up on that help."

She looked at him then leaned over giving him a quick hug. She felt awkward immediately and pulled back brushing her hair out of her face, "Ugh. I am so ready to go. Can we leave. I am really just wanting this night to be over." She pulled the celery stalk out of her hair and headed out onto the sidewalk with Roxas in tow, "Ugh and I probably worried Ophelia too. You know you are really catching me in the middle of chaos because I am never this strung out with boys... or with my sister...or with school."

She stopped mid step and pulled off one of her boots than the other and began to walk barefoot, "Ugh..now Morthos is going to think I'm such an asshole."

Roxas walked next to Jax as they made their way back to his house. "Like I said I'm not going to tell you what to to do." After a few minutes he handed her bottle of water from his bag. "I'm sure Ophelia is fine and you can say sorry tomorrow. In the mean time lets get you to a shower then bed." He smiled then leaded off the path to his place. Jax seemed a little confused at first. "We're going to my house. Everyone will be there and you can talk to Morthos again when you're sober. I'm sure he won't think you're an asshole."

Once they made it to the house, Roxas lead Jax up to the guest room and showed her around so she knew where everything was. Once he got her comfortable he went back down stairs to check on Morthos who seemed to be passed out on the couch. 'Wonder if he made it to the shower.' He thought to himself, grabbed some water from the kitchen, then headed to his room. As he opened the door he saw Ophelia waiting on his bed and immediately smiled. She looked beautiful in her pj's.
