Eve was looking forward to venturing out on a proper mission with her new team tomorrow. She kept thinking about it as she was finishing up her cleaning. She was trying to think of strategies and such to use during combat but wasn't very confident in her ability to. She knew Yoki's tactics and abilities well. She was starting to get a grip on Marlin’s fighting style rather well as unique as it was. With Diana, Eve felt she'd only scratched the surface of what she could really do. Part of her wanted to be nosy and ask Ironwood about her but she wanted Diana to open up on her own.
“You doing alright?” Yoki leaned on the door frame to the small room that was soon to be Hansa's.
“Great actually,” Eve smiled putting the last of her son's things into a box. “I really needed this. I feel I can move on now, from all of it. We have a new team now so I can't have anything holding me back, especially as leader!”
“Yeah,” Yoki had a faint smile on his face. He still wasn't pleased about the idea but it was helping her a lot already. “Need any help?”
“I finished packing things up.” Eve placed her hands on her hips and looked over the boxes, “Help me take these down to the shed outside. I'll keep these two in the house though, just in case weather gets to them.”
“You aren't going to get rid of anything?” Yoki shoved off the wall and grabbed a box.
“Not yet,” Eve grabbed one as well. “I want to go through it more when we have the time we what is better to give away or toss and whatnot.” Eve bounced down the steps with a smile. “I really only want to keep some of it.”
“Yeah I guess we still have quite a bit to do before we leave tomorrow,” Yoki thought aloud. “By the way, I thought I'd see if Rhythm was playing anywhere tonight so we might find the T’weeds easier. Looked it up and he'll be at a club downtown later tonight.”
“Perfect! When we are done here we'll go hang with Hansa for a bit and the go have a chat with Rhythm! And... I guess... Livid…” Eve was very much not looking forward to meeting Livid. She hoped they would just see Rhythm but they would both be useful about now.

"If it's one thing I know, it's drinking," Marlin smirked to himself as he watched her grab her newly presented glass and bring it to her lips. He took another sip of his whiskey, this time a bit bigger and savoring the flavor of his for a bit before swallowing. Marlin watched Diana sip from the luxurious and aged old wine. Her face flushed red and she nearly peeped out something, he took that as a sign of surprise, she had no idea what she was drinking. Marlin enjoyed this side of her, seeing her that wasn't always strict and hard on things. Though it ended quickly as she caught her bearings again and spoke to him with gratitude. He was glad that she liked it, he would have been disappointed otherwise. "I thought you would like it, you can have a glass on me anytime, as long as I'm here," he brought his glass to his lips, downing the rest of the glass this time rather than just sipping it. Setting the empty glass on the bar got the attention of the tender once more, "Bring up the old the stuff," with that said he set more lien as the the man lifted up an old bottled that appeared to be a few centuries old and pouring it carefully into a glass.

"Gonna be an expensive night?" the man asked.

"Yeah just keep my tab open, Beacon gave me a couple heavy checks so I'm set," with those words he looked over to Diana, "Have you eaten at all today?"

Diana was far to focused on her wine to look at Marlin, she would take a sip then roll it around on her tongue. She was again taking her time between sips as to savour the flavour. Each ship was exquisite the flavour dancing on her tongue. She just kept sipping from the cup absorbed in the taste hardly noticing that she'd sped up a substantial amount. Then Marlin asked if she'd eaten and Diana looked out a window finding that the sun was setting. "Yes I've had bits and pieces throughout the day. I've had an acquitted amount." Diana was excited to finally be able to take another sip. She only realised how fast she drank the wine when it was gone, she wanted more but she felt the lingering feeling of intoxication that would probably overtake her if she had much more. So she mentally put her foot down and told herself no, she licked her lips hoping to get even just a little hit of the wine from them.

She then looked at Marlins ancient bottle and raised an eyebrow. She felt like he was going to get hammered pretty dam quick and her expression dropped a little as she turned away. "Besides. Did you not just eat with Eve and. Yoki..." her disdainful tone came back but only for her final word. Then she realised she was talking to Marlin and she looked back at the ornaments on the walls. Distract herself from his body, she couldn't look people in the eye when talking to them for obvious reasons.

Marlin sank into the stool a bit more, getting comfortable as he knew he wasn't going to be moving anytime soon. When she said she ate a part of him was glad that she took care of herself, not that he didn't believe she wouldn't but he hated hearing that people don't eat. While he was taking his old liquor at a slower pace he noticed that her glass was getting lower and lower until it was empty. He couldn't help but laugh, "That good huh? And yeah I ate, I was asking more for your sake, if you wanted a snack I wouldn't mind getting it for you." After licking her lips and setting the empty glass her same attitude returned. A sigh left his mouth, he was rather disappointed that she couldn't relax for just the night, a time where she wouldn't belittle him. "I would assume you don't wanna get blasted but would you like another glass?"

Diana frowned at the wall as Marlin said he was asking for her sake. This annoyed her because it meant that he cared more about her then she did about him, making her the ass hole and not him. "I Appreciate your concern." she was in between a normal persons tone and her usually snark. Then Marlin offered her another drink "I will have to decline, I'll not run the risk of being even slightly tipsy around you..." Diana had very little trust in Marlin but that isn't to say she lacks all respect for him. She wanted to get off her stool and leave but Marlin had spent money on a drink for her and it would be rude of her to leave right away, plus Marlin hadn't done anything to majorly miff her yet. Diana just sat there silently looking down at her bags of clothes.

Hansa was a bit bored just lying around most of the day. He really wanted to get up and move about but he couldn't. Doctors kept moving in and out of the room. Apparently he was helping a bit faster than one normally would with an amputation. At least that's what he heard among the whisperings outside his room. It caused him to think that his new future would be upon him sooner than he thought. He still wasn't sure what it would be. He joined the White Fang because he wanted to make the world a better place for Rose, turned out the new leadership made it worse.
Hansa sighed and looked out the window. He knew a normal life wasn't his style. His mind went to the ones that saved him. “A Huntsman…” When he said it aloud is seemed right. He remembered hearing stories around his village of huntsman and mistresses. How they would protect people not only from Grimm but various other dangers in the world. People, corruption, the darkness in people's hearts. True warriors that could fight almost anything. “Maybe that's it…”
“Coming up with some revelation?” Eve caught the last half of what he said as she walked in.
“Eve!” Hansa beamed upon seeing her.
“Good news!” Eve sat on the bed next to him. “Seems Diana has hooked you up with a set of Atlesian prosthetics. They should be here tomorrow!”
“Wow really?!” Hansa lit up even more. “That's awesome!”
“Also from what I hear, you are healing at a remarkable rate. Seems you might be up and walking here soon. It's a bit odd I was wondering if your semblance had anything to do with it.”
“No, it doesn't really work that way. I can change the size of wounds but it doesn't change the rate of healing.” Hansa shrugged. “I don't know what's causing it.” Eve leaned in close and looked at him carefully. It unsettled him a bit. “What…?”
“Eve stop glaring at the poor kid,” Yoki walked into the room with a plate. “You're making him nervous.”
“I'm not glaring!” Eve looked over her shoulder at him. “I was trying g to analyze his aura.” She huffed and crossed her arms, “I'm not very good at it but I think some of Marlin’s is still there.”
“That could be it,” Yoki shrugged. “Let's ask him later.” He set the plate of food down on the table by Hansa. “Here kid, have something better than hospital food. I went and borrowed their oven, so it should be pretty hot.”
“I could message him. Oh!” Eve remembered she got a new scroll for Hansa too. She pulled it out and handed it to Hansa, “This is yours!” He took it and looked over the new scroll. “I had transferred all the stuff not related to the White Fang to it so that way your fresh start has no trace of them.”
“About that…” Hansa paused, his expression turned gloomy, filled with uncertianty. Eve and Yoki exchanged glances of concern but didn't say anything. “I think… No,” Hansa took a deep breath and shook his head. He looked at Eve with a determined smile, “I want to become a Huntsman!”
“Well that's good because your first term at Beacon starts in a month and a half,” Eve smirked.
“What?!” Hansa was confused. “I thought there'd be more testing or something.”
“Ozpin already extended invitation,” Eve stated. “He doesn't do that for just anyone. You're special, Hansa.”
“This is all moving so fast,” Hansa felt nervous. “Wait, will I even be able to attend that soon?”
“Well if your rate of healing keeps up like this the doctors say you will be walking in just a few more days,” Eve explained. “You might have ended up waiting for next semester otherwise. But if you'd rather wait you can.”
“No it's fine,” Hansa waved his hands. “Just quite a bit to get used to. I just wish I could share this with my sister.”
“Tell us about her!” Eve settled in a bit more on the bed. “Where did you guys live?”
“Anima,” Hansa had a sad smile on his face. “We lived in the small village, Azalea, not too far from Mistral. Our parents died when we were pretty young. We managed to get by for a while on our own. It didn't last long. Rose is blind. You wouldn't know it by the way she moves. Such a sweet girl. I should have listened to her when she told me not to join.”
“Sounds like a smart girl,” Yoki smirked.
Hansa looked through the pictures Eve had transferred to his scroll and found one of Rose to show them. “This is her.”
“She’s so cute,” Eve smiled. “I promise we'll bring her back safe and sound!”
“I just wish I could come with,” Hansa pouted and his ears drooped.
“I told you, didn't I?” Yoki crossed his arms. “You need to focus on recovering!”
“Especially if you are going to attend Beacon,” Eve agreed. "You'll want to be in tip top shape!"
“Be a bit selfish for once,” Yoki raised his voice.
“Alright, I get it!” Hansa laughed.

"Suit yourself, if you change your mind the offer is still up," Marlin frowned to himself though it wasn't visible. He had no intentions that night than to just drink his thoughts away, it helped him remain 'balanced' in his head so he could use his fighting method without risk of self harm. Plus he wouldn't have to think on those of his past, triggered memories from things around him, though he hid this from everyone. Drinking wasn't just a form of fun entertainment, it was his prescription. Luckily controlling his aura to enhance the abilities of his liver to keep himself from dying of alcohol poisoning was a bonus. Marlin caught her glancing down at her bags, he suspected that she didn't want to be there. Downing the rest of his old whiskey from his glass and showing no signs of drunkenness, he spoke calmly and rather cheerful, "You don't ever wanna kick back and get away from all the stress, all the problems of the world, even for just a few hours?" He enjoyed her company, even if it was far from friendship, sitting at a bar alone wasn't any fun and he would hate to see her go, "Everyone needs a break at some point, eases the pressure."

Diana brought her gaze up from her bags and looked at the bar, she lightly clenched her fists at Marlin's question. her lips screwed up as she didn't believe in taking a break, its the people who take breaks who get nothing done. Every moment they spend pissing around are the moments they fall behind the evils of the world. "There is no time to just, kick back and relax. There are far more evils in the world than just the Grimm and the white fang. Knowing this how am I supposed to relax and 'kick back'?" Diana raised her head and now faced the many bottles stacked in their shelves, there round glass surface catching a glimpse of Marlin's face. "If I wasn't able to handle the pressure my job entails I would have been out of the business a long time ago. Save you're concern for Eve and Yoki, I don't need it... Diana looked back down at her bags then up at the roof and let out a sigh, "The only reason I am here was so I could burn time and think to myself until the supplies arrive tomorrow. And now I'm no longer able to think to clearly. Because of you..."

Diana's fists were now fully clenched and visibly trembling because of the force in which she was clenching them. Marlin reminded her too much of someone she holds very dear. His concern for her was the main contributing factor to this, he cared for her well being in a way Ironwood did not. To Ironwood she was an elite soldier who completed her missions with brutal efficiency and she needed to be in top shape. But to Marlin she was someone who needed him a companion, a teammate, a friend. This angered Diana, though her rage was not directed at Marlin it's target seemed to be everything.

Eve and Yoki killed a lot of time talking with Hansa. It was getting rather late and the kid grew tired. They said goodbye for the night and left, heading for downtown.
“He’s a good kid,” Yoki sighed. “He didn't deserve what that jerk did to him.”
“At least we are able to help him,” Eve had a bit more pep in her step. “Hopefully Rhythm will help look out for him.”
“You sure that's a good idea?” Yoki asked.
“Yeah it'll be fine,” Eve waved it off. “I'm just worried someone might try and come after him. Be it the creep in the hat or someone in the White Fang. At least Rhythm is capable of being responsible when he wants to be.”
“Hey Stardust!” Livid jumped down from above transforming her board into a bat and swinging it right at Eve. It bounced right off her and caused Livid to go flying backwards with just as much force.
“Liv, you have fought me enough why do you even bother?” Eve looked up at her annoyed.
“What the hell happened to your hair?!” Livid started floating around on her hoverboard again. “It's hideous!”
"I know!" Eve cried.
“Where's your brother?” Yoki growled. “We need to talk to him.”
“Tch, I ain't tellin’!” Livid shrugged. “Who in their right mind would want to talk with some Huntsmen that thinks they are all that? Especially if you could fight them instead!” Livid dove down aiming her board at Yoki. Eve stepped in and made sure the board collided with her to knock Livid back.
“You're on,” Eve smirked and looked over her shoulder at Yoki as she grabbed both halves of Tippetarius. “I got this! You go see if you can find Rhythm, maybe he can put an end to her madness.”
“Try and beat some sense into her anyways,” Yoki voiced bitterly as he ran off.
“Did I say you could leave?!” Livid took a deep breath but before she could do anything Eve launched a huge wave of Wind Dust up at her, knocking her off balance. “One on one is cool too,” Livid shrugged as she regained her balance. “Ready to get the snot beat out of you, Stardust?!" She dove for Eve again.
“What are you? Ten?” Eve scoffed as she jumped out of the way. “Besides since when have you ever beat me?”
“I have you beat in style!” Livid picked up speed, circling back and hitting Eve with her board and using as a momentum boost.
“Really because that outfit screams trying too hard,” Eve started moving out of her way picking up on what she was trying to do. Livid switched back into the bat and fired a few shotgun blasts at Eve. Eve wasn't even phased. The blasts bounced right off her. Still moving with momentum from before Livid swung the bat and bounced right off her, yet again. “Force doesn't cut it you know!” Eve growled in annoyance.
“Maybe not on you!” Livid laughed as she collided her board with a tree on the street. It started falling until Livid got under the tree and used her board to launch it towards Eve with incredible speed. Eve couldn't dodge it by the time she realized, so she split the tree down the middle. As soon as she did Livid was on top of her, letting out a scream.

She was right, and Marlin almost gritted his teeth in thought, not because she was right but because he wasn't someone to fight all the evils, he only cared about the things that effected him. He wasn't upset, it would take a lot to really throw him off his rocker. Instead he was level headed, calm, embracing the situation and the angered woman next to him. She lives a different life than him, a soldiers life, an elite at that. He couldn't understand how hard things may be for her, but obviously resting wasn't on her daily to-do list. "You, are, absolutely right, there are too many evils, and I'm one who chose not to fight them all." He kept his eyes on the wooden bar as he leaned against it. He was almost pitying himself, realizing that she stood on a level far above his, the difference in respect between the two unfathomable. His thoughts trailed to those he tried not to think about, a wave of depression set in. Another drink wasn't going to fix this. "I hope that one day you won't have to keep your hand on that hilt," leaving on a good thought he stood up from the bar and pushed in his stool while tossing another tip to the bartender. "Have a good night Diana," tucking his hands in his pockets he headed for the door.

Marlin didn't want to bother her any longer and he couldn't bare another drink with what was on his mind. He hoped she wouldn't chase him down, he figured it wasn't something she would do, and he wouldn't stop if she tried to stop him. He was a man lost on a train of his own thoughts. He turned down a dark alley, hoping to find some abandoned mattress to just crash on. Sometimes the beds of the streets were more comforting than those of a hospitable home. Making his way through the alley his thoughts were stopped by a loud shrieking scream from the other end. His instincts kicked in and he ran quickly to the scene, noticing Eve attacked by a brightly colored woman who seemed to be the source of the scream. Without second thought Marlin ran closer, manipulating most if not all of his aura into his left arm and infusing it with a wind crystal, he threw a punch at the air. This attack was done once before when he soloed a Nuckelavee, with it's screeches being drowned out by the sonic boom of breaking the sound barrier. Training for weeks to fight such a Grimm, coming in contact with any such attack had him on impulsive defense. His blind punch at mid air near Eve and the mysterious women, was both amplified by his aura and the dust crystal to an extreme level, leaving his body completely defenseless. He succeeded once again, breaking the sound barrier and creating a sonic boom enough to shake buildings. He hoped it would put a stop to the woman long enough for either himself or Eve to counter back. However the boom was more than just breaking the sound barrier. Marlin's unbalance mind with his thoughts running through his past and covered in a wave of depression caused his body not to bode well with the dust, resulting in a louder sound and an explosion in his arm. Marlin's body flew into one of the nearby buildings and he was knocked unconscious. Unlike other crystals, wind dust mainly effected the speed of the contractions in his muscles, the result of the explosion primarily being internal damage to his arm.

Diana's fists eased up slightly as Marlin spoke, she would be pleased being told she was correct, But the context made that fact more grim then pleasing. Diana looked over at Marlin not making eye contact but at the very lest looking at his shoulder. She struggled to keep her her face from showing her shock at him admitting it, she thought this rough rider from Vacuo would defend his beliefs and way of life. Again she'd misjudged this man, she was questioning how she thought of him. He was still a drunk fool at times, but perhaps there was something underneath all that. She could almost feel Marlins sadness as he looked down at the bar. His next sentence hit her like a truck "I hope that one day you won't have to keep your hand on that hilt," She felt a tugging in her chest, if only he knew why I can't do that.... Diana looked up as Marlin stood up and went to leave the bar, she had no words for him as he left the bar. Her eyes followed him to the door as her left, again more thought of her past struck her but this time she felt no anger.

She thought of her brother and how much he'd cared for her and looked after her in her early years. She'd be nowhere without him, she'd have been killed before she got to speak her first words, have her first meal... She owed everything to her brother, and Marlin, Marlin reminded her of him. She got up with her bag of shopping intending on heading back to her apartment when she heard/felt a extremely loud bang. She then noticed her hand was already on the hilt of her sword, Marlin was right, she really did have her hand on that hilt far too often. She scowled and knew she couldn't just leave whatever that made that sound alone, so she nodded to the bartender and headed out of the bar. She then headed in the direction where she thought the sound had come from. She held her bag of shopping in one hand and her sword in the other. She was conflicted on how to feel and wanted some time to think, but she needed to take care of whatever this disturbance was. She frowned and lowered her blade to the ground so she could feel the satisfying scrapping of her blade against the pavement. She noticed a large cloud of dust raising from where the explosion must have come from, she headed in that direction Marlin...

Eve dropped Tippetarius and covered her ears. She glared up at Livid annoyed. She realized she could still move so she knew she wasn't going all out on this. Eve started looking around for better way to get higher when she spotted Marlin. The sonic boom he caused, caught in Livid’s throat and made her cough.
“Marlin!” Eve ran over to Marlin and saw that he was out cold. She noticed the instant bruising all over his arm and she bit her lip in anger.
“Awe man looks like Kitty Cat couldn't handle his own attack!” Livid started laughing, she could barely stay on her board. She ended up just laying on it as it floated around in the air.
“You stupid little brat!” Eve slammed her foot down on the ground as hard as she could, using her semblance to jump higher kicked off the building and went straight for Livid.
“Whoa there Shooting Star!" Livid noticed last minute and moved just out of the range of her kick. “What it's not like I did anything!” Livid shrugged with a smirk. Eve landed by Tippetarius and without missing a beat she tucked her foot underneath one half and kicked it up in the air to grab it. She quickly turned and did the same with the other half. She put them together and opened it to it's fullest capacity and threw the round blade up at Livid. While she was distracted with dodging it she didn't see that Eve had jumped up just behind it. Eve kicked her off her board. Livid hit the ground hard. Eve grabbed her fan and threw it at Livid. Livid put her arm up and her bracelet lit up. Her hoverboard came around wide and the fan bounced off it instead of hitting Livid. Eve dashed forward snatching her fan out of the air closing it and using it as a staff. Livid switched into her bat and blocked each hit of Eve's staff, but Eve was going so fast it was growing overwhelming.

As Diana got close to the the source of the explosion she stopped dragging her blade along the ground and looked around trying to pick up any noise. She could hear some fighting but the dust that was thrown everywhere by Marlin was obstructing her vision. She stood still for a moment looking around before spotting Marlin against a wall one arm totally covered in bruises, she knew it had to be him who made that sound, not many people had that much raw power. "Marlin you idiot, what have you done this time?.." She knelt down next to him and took a look at his arm, she couldn't really help him because she had mo supplies and that kind of injury was a trick one to deal with. She ended up putting her bag of clothes under his bruised arm.

She then stood up and held her sword at the ready as she walked towards the sound of the confrontation, she was going to give the idiots involved a right smack. She waded through a small cloud of dust and found herself looking at a battle between Eve and some punk ass looking girl on a hover board. She frowned and started walking towards the girl on the board, she knew she'd be able to get to Eve later, she sheathed her sword wanting to use her hands for this next part. She scowled at Eve and waited for her to notice that Diana was now watching, didn't announce herself or anything then just walked at Livid, she had her fists clenched and would look up at Livid until she got into arms reach.

Eve caught Diana's gaze amidst her combos against Livid. She stumbled unable to maintain her focus with such an uneasy feeling. Livid back handed Eve stunning her even more before kicking her away. As Livid hopped back on her board she spotted red out of the corner of her eye. She looked at Diana and felt terrified. She let out a slight screech unwillingly amplified by her semblance. She didn't activate her headphones and she stopped quickly.
“Damn Red you scary!” Livid was about to attack her when she heard a familiar sound of music. She looked over with a smirk which turned to a fake pout. “Rhythm! Eve attacked me!” Livid noticed Beat Wave in full cannon form. She smirked thinking he was going to attack Eve and friends until she was blown back and slammed into the wall knocking her out.
“I really doubt that,” Rhythm shrugged as Beat Wave turned back into a backpack. He sighed and looked around at the damage her little instigation caused. “Sorry about her...”
“Rythym!” Eve stood up and bounced up to him with a smile. “It's been so long.”
“She deserves just about anything you seem fit, Eve,” Rhythm shook his head looking over at his unconscious sister.
“We'll figure that out later,” Eve glared over at her.
“Marlin, doesn't look so good at the moment,” Yoki knelt down by Marlin. “I called for a medical transport. They should be here soon.”

#drunk, not gonna change or edit this)

IUt did not take long for the medical transport to arrive, on short notice Marlin was loaded on to the transport cehicle along with all parties involved. During the trip to the hospital where Marlin and Livid would be treated, he had dreams of his past. During his younger years where he was fully cpaapble of performing at his upmost peak capacity. He took on contracts to protect both the city and nearby villlages of Vacuo. Of course at his current age his abilities did not match from wehn he was younger. Though back then he was more of an uncantained self rather than someone of brains. During one of his missions he came across a man that would once be called his best friedn. This man and Marlin fought side by side as they were both hired by the same person to complete the same mission how ever they did not know of each othters incolvement. Marlin figured it was more of a test of strength and skill rather than just a second hire for the job. His brain continued the thoughts of such a long lost companion. THough upon arrival his body was immediately hooked up to machines to moniter his recovery. With his aura pretty much drained from his body from the attack of breaking the sound barrier, his healing would progress at the standard rate of any ordinary human.

Diana growled as she watched Livid get KO'd then turned away from Eve and Yoki walking towards Marlin. She gathered her things out from under his arm with a level of delicacy she doesn't often exhibit, making sure not to agitate his injury. She then looked back at Yoki and Eve after taking a seat down next to Marlin. She didn't feel like talking due to be fairly agitated so she kept to herself until the ambulance arrived.

After they got to hospital Diana stood there with Eve and Yoki, she looked at Marlin's arm and how damaged it was. "So what now. Are we going to postpone the next mission?" Diana seemed a little worried but it was hard to tell if it was about going on the mission or Marlin. She looked between Yoki and Eve not making eye contact but getting very close. She did feel kind of bad for Marlin, he kept getting hurt rather badly, Maybe I should have ordered more medical supplies... she thought. She was probably going to need them.

“Yeah,” Eve nodded in response to Diana. “At least for a while. We don't want him to overwork himself.” Eve glanced through the doorway with a sour expression at a happily sleeping Livid. “Why does she have to be so difficult?! Ugh!” She walked over to the bench in the hall and sat down.
“She's always been that way,” Yoki shrugged. “You really expect her to change?”
“Rhythm did!” Eve pointed at the quiet man in the middle of the hall. “For the better might I add!”
“That was like 20 years ago.” Yoki was completely deadpan. “If she was going to change it would have happened already.”
“He has a point,” Rhythm laughed lightly. “She has always been stuck in her ways. I've tried but Livid is Livid.”
“I just wish she wasn't so infuriating!” Eve growled. “I'd have her arrested if I didn't need her!”
“So who's muscles and miss intimidation here?” Rhythm pointed over his shoulder at Diana.
“They are our new teammates!” Eve perked up. “This is Diana and the sleeping tiger is Marlin."
“New team?” Rhythm cocked his head in confusion. “What happened to that yummy husband of yours and your brother? They decide to retire or something?”
“Or something…” Eve trailed off.
“I thought you knew,” Yoki looked a bit surprised. “Rufous and Cyrus were killed about 6 months ago.”
“Why didn't you two tell me!” Rhythm looked more upset than he sounded as he glared at both of them with a dead serious expression. “No wonder I haven't seen you two in a while. You said killed. Who did it?”
“That's sort of what we wanted to talk to you about.” Yoki shrugged. “We need your help on finding out what he's up to.”
“Then spill it!” Rhythm crossed his arms. "I want to help you catch that bastard!"
“Well we found out recently that he and his organization have ties to the White Fang here in Vale,” Eve explained. “He's been attacking them but it sounds like they were working together. If you can I'd like you two to find something out if you can.” Eve stood up and walked over to the room Hansa was currently sleeping in, “Speaking of the White Fang, there's this kid that's been held against his will and we are trying to get him out. I'm worried someone might target him.”
“White Fang or otherwise,” Yoki added.
“After Marlin recovers a bit more we are heading to Mistral to find his sister so do you mind keeping am eye on him for us?” Eve put her hands together in a pleading manner.
“No problem,” Rhythm smiled.
“Awesome!” Eve cheered. “I'll introduce you to him in the morning.”

Livid woke up her mood went from good to annoyed in no time flat as she remembered what happened. She rolled over away from the voices in the hall and rested her head in her hand. She saw Marlin sleeping in the bed next to hers and smirked. She didn't get a chance to check him out while fighting Eve given the fact he self-destructed. “Mmm, yep. One sexy kitty.”

From the time Marlin was knocked out on the street to the time he regained consciousness felt like a couple days had gone by. Though during these few hours his thoughts ran blank for the most part, besides of occasional memories from his past. His eyes opened slowly and he could tell right away he was no longer in the street. Looking straight ahead then down at himself he realized he was in the hospital. Glancing down at his arm it was covered in bandages, his vest removed to apply them properly. Immediately his head started to throb. The amount of alcohol he consumed at the bar was starting to effect him in the form of a hangover. Even though prior he wasn't feeling any symptoms due to his liver being amplified by his aura, after the sonic boom his aura depleted while the alcohol was still in his system. He went to sit up using his right hand to push down and prop his back up straight while he raised his left arm to rub his temple, or attempted to. "Ah FUCK, that hurts," he grunted while lightly clutching his arm. He looked around the room to see his surroundings. That's when he realized he wasn't alone, as soon as he landed on Livid a loud shout escaped his lips as his right swung at the air blindly causing him to tip over off balance and land on his arm, "Son of a bitch," he looked back over to her, "Why are you here?" he said quickly and hastily.

Diana wasn't particularly happy that the mission was being delayed but she understood why. She stood there looking at the sleeping Marlin until Rhythm called her "miss intimidation" then she frowned not liking the nickname, though Rhythm seemed to have a head on his shoulders, but that might not be the case forever if he made more nicknames for Diana. She didn't take her eyes of Marlin mainly because she could look at him without fear of scaring him, even though he was unconscious it was still nice to be able to look at someone and not fear them fearing you. She could hear the conversation slightly as she had remained in the room with Marlin and Livid, she figured she should move a little closer to the group so she could hear what they were talking about so she left the two in the hospital beds and leaned on the wall next to the doorway. She heard the story of the lost teammates and Rhythm's shock at not being told earlier, her interest was peeked upon mention of the mission but it was nothing she didn't already know.

Then Diana heard a voice start talking, it was the girl in the hospital bed commenting on something, so Diana didn't care to look into the room again. Then Marlin's voice cursed rather loudly and Diana slowly got off the wall and went to stand in the doorway. She was awfully quiet as she stood there, she was interested in where this interaction would go so she kept to herself while only partly being exposed through the door. She did not care if she was found out or anything was just interested in what might be said. She also waved over to the others sitting on the bench and jerked her head in the direction of the two bed ridden ones. She thought she'd better tell them that they were awake and that was the easiest way she could.

“My brother knocked my ass out,” Livid replied with a bitter smirk. “Feels like a concussion. Been in enough bar fights to know.” Livid's eyes looked over his bandaged arm with a spot of curiosity. “You look pretty wrecked, Kitty-cat.” Livid nodded in his direction, “How exactly does one do that with a punch that didn't hit anything?” Livid couldn't help but laugh at the last part. “Also why would such a fine cat like you bother saving someone as lame as Stardust?” She stuck her tongue out in disgust. “What you got the hots for her or something?” She never could stand Eve. Even after she saved the twins, Livid couldn't stand her. She felt her brother was more or less taken from her with how much he changed. Part of her just wanted to beat her once to take her down a few pegs.

Eve saw Diana's cue and bounced on over but stopped upon hearing Livid rambling. Being nosey she decided to linger a bit. She leaned against the wall outside the door. Rhythm leaned in next to her being just as nosey. Eve realized Yoki vanished. She thought he might have left while they moved in. She shrugged and listened in.
