Veldrick.... Once upon a time, the kingdom flourished with life, but now the streets are hollow, houses are empty, and the King's throne...lies vacant. A terrible plague swept through the city, killing all it had touched. None were safe from it, rich or poor, noble or peasant. All had fallen prey to its deadly touch, but somehow, you survived. How? Oh, that's simple.
You were dead, long before the plague had ever struck. For many years, your body lied in the cold, cold ground, withering away into nothing, but now, by some strange coincidence, you live again, and it is as if the worms nor the rot had ravaged your mortal shell...
And so you venture out, from your grave, from your sepulchur, you leave the land of the dead and return to your home, but all that you find...are but ashes of your cherished memories, and a world....that has turned for the worse.
Now you must survive this nightmare from which there is no awaking and find answers to the many questions. Why are you alive? Who or what brought this plague upon the city? And...is there any hope left at all?
But beware, for though you may think, you are not alone in this cruel and unforgiving world. There are things out there, most unnatural and indeed most terrifying, and they hunger...for your soul.
