Height: 6 ft 1in
Weight: 185 lbs
Build: Lean
Eyes: Round Hazel
Hair: Dishwater Blonde/light brown, rough and curly, cropped short currently
Skin Tone: Muddled light/medium beige
Tattoos/Scars/Piercings: Numerous small scars dotting his body from various happenings - nothing major. No piercings. The words old man river on his right forearm, string wrapped around his left wrist
Personal Style: Functional Bohemian Whimsical, such a contradiction in terms but so is Ludwig. He wears very standard pieces that most men his age are wearing. Linen or cotton shirts with billowing sleeves, high collars, and wide cravats. A vest to keep things in place and hide the suspenders. Full length trousers that flair slightly at the hip and are pleated. Waistcoat over that to deal with the elements. Boots are a must, forget the shoes like that look like they should be worn with a ball gown or dress ready for the ton.
Yet everything seems to have a whimsical feel to it, as if he meant to look disheveled. Everything always seems too worn and slightly dirty to be worth anything. (Even if he has just purchased or washed it) His hair can be anywhere from closely cropped to his hear to having length to it. He tends to forget to groom, especially his facial hair. Usually a bit oily in the scalp he thankfully has coarse hair with a curl to it that keeps it from looking nasty most of the time. It really isn't about form or function for him, more of an afterthought to life.
Scholarly * Quirky * Devoted * Fanciful * Allocentric * Gullible
Sexuality: Heterosexual (yet he really doesn't think about it)
Relationship Status: Single (Probably forever)
Personality: Ludwig, try as he might is rather socially inept when it comes to most things, having no real filter on his mouth and speaking as things come to his mind yet much of the time what does leave his mouth comes out in half formed sentences under situations that make him nervous. (What makes him nervous changes as quickly as the affection/wrath of a feline) Between his numerous ticks and quirks, he is most undoubtedly strange and peculiar. Not to mention rather quirky the way his mind works and wraps around things.
He teds to overlook the most obvious of connections -
such as the door was left open, that is how the cat got in - and finds the most convoluted of ones; which oddly enough tend to be correct -
No the door is open because the wind gusted up and a branch broke, which sent a leaf tumbling and falling through the air until it became caught in the door jam between the lock and frame, at which time the cat brushed against the door trying to out run the dog it had just sent a flower pot ontop of. The leaf landing and the cat pushing the door open are the only two things correct but it is oddly more accurate than the door was simply left open.
Ever lost in a day dream of sorts Ludwig is rather fanciful in his thinking, as described above to his account of the cat in the house. He is always searching for the happy ending for a situation and is most gullible at times when it comes to such things. Willing to believe almost anything, no matter how bizarre to other as long as it makes sense in his own mind.
Washing your hands won't keep illness at bay but if you were to dip them in ale and dance around until they dry it will get the sickness drunk enough to tumble off your skin - again in an odd way he is right but in the worst way possible. (Alcohol kills germs much better than water in the Regency Period)
Despite all his draw backs, Ludwig is anything but an idiot. He is just different. He is a scholar above and beyond all else. His mind constantly thinking, even if to the left or the right of middle. He studies everything he can about anything his mind will wrap around at the time and loves to devote himself to learning and documenting all things Soulless. He will nearly bombard people with half asked questions to find out more details. He can be mischievous because of this and use his skills and abilities to better situate himself to over hear others or cause small accidents to get people talking.
Never in a malignant sort of way though. He is kind and looking out for the greater good above and beyond all else. Happy endings after all. He doesn't really think of himself. It is about others,
about saving the princess and adopting the orphan. He can be overly kind and because of his gullibility it can get him bit in the rear but he just keeps moving on his wobbly path of life. Staying loyal to those he knows, for he really doesn't have friends. He has his mentor and his family - which even though his family turned him out at ten years of age he still loves them and thinks fondly of them. (Which he shouldn't, they were assholes.) His mentor and him grew close, nearly a father son relationship, the two act more alike than Luwdig and his blood family - it's probably the madness.

- Widuwo:
- Kielkropf - A fairy, Tinkerbell. Yup, the person becomes a pint sized pixie measuring not taller than six inches, no smaller than two. Wings, and all. No fairy dust sorry but you can fly up to a km. You still have your possessions. Cannot carry more than 3 ounces additional weight. Lasts as long as needed or until the user is rendered unconscious. Try not to be in a small cage if you pass out in this form, waking up will be painful.
- Thiuda:
- Gramol - Bring your stories to life. This skill is multifaceted. It starts by being able to bond with a journal and quill. When these two are used together, one can draw a scene or write out a story and it come to life. (Example: Germany writes: The ceiling shook slightly before giving away and starting to fall in. What happens: The ceiling suddenly starts caving in.) Can only affect inanimate objects. The more complicated the effect, the less chance of it working and higher chance of something going horribly wrong. (Be careful what you draw, the journal is like a Genie, it is fickle and things may not work out how you intended)
- Laiktjo:
- Raips - One is able to create magic beans. These beans, when kissed and then thrown will turn any liquid surface to ice on contact. The ice will be several inches deep and spread out over the surface for a circular area up to fifty feet in diameter. If it is in the center of a larger body of water, it will create a spherical dish of ice that will withstand up to 300lbs of weight before cracking. Will melt as ice would normally in the conditions in which it was used. (Takes 3-6 hours to create a single bean and require very rare materials found only within German borders, creators are very protective of their beans.)
- Stellmoor - Ability to accurately fire and quickly load a German style crossbow pistol
- Smoyler - Time to get your Jackie Chan on. (Yeah I know, wrong country) Anyway, a parkour based fighting style that utilizes using your surroundings to your advantage and unnatural inanimate objects (chair, drapes, picture frame, horse shoe, so forth) as strategic weapons.
- Ringen - Grappling based Martial Art of throws and submission techniques
- Kampfringen - Punches, joint-locks, elbow strikes, chokeholds, headbutts and (to a limited extent) kicks are added into the list of grappling techniques
What Is On Your Person:- Clothing - Cream colored shirt with high collar, gray colored under shirt, brown trousers, matching colored suspenders, worn in leather boots, socks, brown vest, wool long coat, glasses, worn billfold, remains of his allowance, identity papers

Family History: The Zimmer family is one of respect and honor, or so they thought. A family based in law where for generations the men of the Zimmer name practiced and did well for themselves. It did not matter the law that governed the land which they called home, they thrived and prospered. The Zimmer men did well, were scholars, studious, hard working, always searching for justice in the eyes of the law. (Which ever law that was for the time.) Many were trained over in the New Colonies and the Far East over the years. Everything was honor, honesty, and being regarded as a family with an unblemished reputation. At least on the male side of the family.
The mothers side (Schneider) was a different story. On the surface they were well to do land owners who farmed. While not the most prestigious of professions they had done well for themselves both monetarily and in the marriage department; always marrying well. Everything seemed to be on the up and up but they held a secret they thought they could put behind them. It had been four generations since the last of their Thervingi blood line had presented. A long standing blood line that could trace its roots all the way back to the Gothic people of the Danubian Plains west of the Dniester River in 300 A.D. It wasn't until Ludwig was born that the mother started to worry, noting his odd nature and twitches.
(After Ludwig left the family they did everything to regain their honor, including his brother joining the military after his own training in Japan had completed. Fighting in the War of the Sixth Coalition, and even though his brother died during the war, it was a great honor to have a war hero in the family. It helped to make up for the shame of having a War of Thervingi Presented child...)Your personal life: Life for Ludwig was hard when he was young. His father could never seem to understand him and his mother always seemed put off by this ways. The only one that seemed to be able to tolerate him on some level was his brother Dieter but even he could not stand Ludwig for more than a few moments. Much of Ludwigs time was spent ushered away from people and shut up in his room with a tutor or books. He did not mind, it gave him a chance to read of things he didn't know, draw, or write fanciful tales of the Soulless. Dreaming he would one day make his mother and father so happy and safe when he found the cure to the Soulless. He was rather happy despite everything.
That was until he presented just before he turned ten years of age. His brother and him playing hide and seek. Ludwig so wanted to be able to win this game and suddenly he was but a few inches in height and buzzing around like a drunken bee in the middle of the kitchen. His mother was mortified, his father in disbelief. Both were more than happy to turn Ludwig over to the strange man who showed up at their door the night of Ludwigs tenth birthday. He explained that he was to be their childs mentor and that the crown would provide as long as they released Ludiwg to his care. The eccentric lad was packed and out the door before the candle on the mantle finished burning. The only thing that truly bothers Ludwig about leaving was that his brother was in Japan at the time and he had hoped to see him again.
The next twelve years under the instruction of Ulrich Sauer was more than interesting. The man was more than a little mad. Yet it was beyond interesting to Ludwig. They never stayed in one place too long, traveling constantly. In the first years after Ulrich had received the lump sum of money from the crown they headed to the Far East, to places most avoided. Ulrich had a lust for travel and to see new things, always on the hunt for the mysterious. It made for a good match between the two. They remained in the Middle East, Northern Africa, and India until Ludwig was sixteen. Only reluctantly returning to Europe to get Ulrichs next stipend from the Crown.
From sixteen to twenty-two they traveled North America and the Caribbean. While Ludwig was never able to learn anything of the skills being taught in these places he was able to collect a nice stock pile journals about his own takes on the skills, where they must have come from, why they were developed, and more. (Granted the theory of slugs from the swamps of the south being part of this and various other tales really doesn't give much credit to Ludwig outside of giving him credit for having an active imagination.)
Once his training was complete, and they returned for Ludwigs first collection of funds that was his and his alone, he and his mentor parted ways. A father and son like relationship but it was time for Ludwig to set out on his own. Yet the two meet up each time either of them has to collect to trade tales and such. Since then he has traveled over Europe, went back home only then to learn of his brothers death, left again to travel more, returned to visit his brothers grave, only to leave to travel more.
Recently Ludwig has been tracking some interesting observations into England and now London proper. He has his sights set on Scotland but he did just arrive and something keeps gnawing at the back of his mad addled mind. Time to scratch this itch before he pulls his hair out.
What you want for your life: Ludwig has never placed much stock in marrying or settling down, yet he would not mind as long as it was part of a grand adventure and in the end he was able to "rescue the princess from another castle" - or her rescue him. He does so love a twist ending. Other than that he only wishes to continue traveling, dealing with Soulless directly as needed, and otherwise continue his compiling of stories and research. (Which if one is not careful when they read could get lost between which volume if fact and which volume is fiction.)
The only other thing he wishes to do with his life is a bit peculiar but that can be said about nearly everything that has to do with Ludwig. He wants to ride his ferret. (No that is NOT a euphemism for something else.) He enjoys riding his ferret when he is Kielkropfing. An odd little skill he developed over the years just because he could. I mean why not? Makes for some interesting adventures. Anyways, it was far easier to train a ferret to let him ride than a squirrel. He knows, he tried.
