Appearance:
Draped in a long, elegant white labcoat which swishes resolutely as the good Doctor strides. Underneath Ashley usually wears a plain, professional shirt and a novelty tie to suit the occasion, to put his patients at ease. Sensible slacks held up with an unremarkable belt and very sensible shoes for trudging round the dark streets of Earth.

Natural golden blonde curly hair tied up in two messy buns with a tidied but still untidy fringe and long bangs. Healthy tan complexion from enjoying the outdoors a little more than most. Intelligent, dangerous look in dark, bespectacled eyes. At 5'8", a bit of a shorty, but still stands tall. Left forearm is fairly, but not greatly, inscribed with various low level white magic cantrips, all correctly annotated.The right arm has weird musculature but on closer inspection is very cleverly shaped mass of folded, twisting tentacles. Narrow shoulders perfectly contrast Ashley's impressively well developed chest and wide set hips.

History:
Typically one gives up practising medicine after loosing an arm, however Ashley was not so deterred. Civil War raged in a distant land, the rebels loosing heavily to the gold backed mercenaries of the Aristocracy. Their petty politics however did not interest Ashley, he was interested in something far simpler. War meant casualties, casualties meant bodies and bodies meant practice. In exchange for practice he would give the rebel doctors what they direly needed, education. It took years and the lives of many brave men to perfect his technique, but perfect it he did. The monster used was a vile abomination, but affixed correctly to an amputee greatly improved their quality of life and, according to the rebel leader, could give their lives again for the people of Drachma. Ashley didn't care much, he had a functioning arm back, multiple arms even, and was already too busy wondering what else he'd need to know how to replace or improve.

Appearance: He's a muscular, thickset, and imposing man, his completely bald body is covered in burn-marks, jagged scars, and intricate tattoos, most of them relating to the sun, heat, or fire in some fashion. He is barefoot, clad in poorly-stitched robes, and wears a golden sun on a chain around his neck. He wields a two-handed greatsword and a rather large knife is sheathed on his belt.

Backstory: Elijah is a humble man, who has seen the Light of Sol, and seeks to bring His Justice to the monsters and marauders of the world, and to smite all those who seek to bring about the Eternal Darkness. Over the years, his Holy journey has led him to many places, alongside many people, and as of late, to a small town called Omar.

Engine is able to use most of what she finds to cobble together various techno-magical solutions to her problems. Some of these solutions make sense, others seem to work via some hidden will. Much like herself.

The more complicated the solution, the more time and various exotic parts it requires.

Appearance:

Engine appears to be a living pile of driftwood and stone that somehow resembles a humanoid and moves by itself. Her ability to animate matter and technology hints at the fact her existence isn't limited to the physical components of her body. Despite her crude appearance, Engine's movements are fluid and graceful, as her various parts dance together to her will.

Backstory:
Despite being a force of pure multidimensional chaos, it is rare for the Iron Wind to create life where there is none. Nevertheless, a pile of wood woke some years ago, and began drifting, searching for sense and purpose. It studied animals at first, then human settlements, and was lucky to be discovered by scouts when it had already learned to control at least some of their language. At this point, by some strange unconscious process, it had come to resemble them.

Once deemed safe, the creature looked for immediate purpose within the settlement. Its sustenance was raw matter, and the quality of its physical form determined by its quality. It thus only made sense for it to find work with craftsmen, and sometimes alchemists. And for the longest time, it - she settled down, given the name of Engine by the older, smarter children.

But no one can avoid wanderlust forever, in the 9th world.
