She’d missed Aiden’s reply as his voice was drowned out by the yawn she was trying to stifle by not opening her mouth. The wadded up note however did get her attention; reading it, she shrugged before giving Aiden a thumbs up after which, she poked Mika in the side and handed her the paper.

"We are taking a field trip!"

“Huh?” She started, blinking in confusion. She was already standing and a on the move with the others before she twigged on where they were going. “Fuck, I need a better bed…” She muttered. Stretching her arms out over the heads of Aiden and Mika, Silvi yawned more openly. “So you two have any plans over the weekend?” She asked her class/team mates. “What to go see the Wulka factory? I ask because I know my folks will give me no end of grief if I don’t at least offer an invitation…just don’t ask my sister about whatever her newest project is…you’ll never get her to shut up.”

Aiden stood up as he stretches a bit as they all have been sitting there for a good bit. Putting his little black notebook in his pocket as he starts to follow everyone else out. "I'm free all weekend, so sure. Though I make no promises of not asking." Aiden jokes as he chuckles lightly. As they walk, Aiden wonders what kind of Grim fossils they will see on this trip. Which then got him thinking about Fannus and their ancestors.

He would ask Silvi but that might seem a bit rude so he held his tongue. He'll look that up later himself when he has some free time. Hopefully, the library here has the book he needs. IF not, then he guessed he'll look it up on his scroll.

"Soup... sounds good... and so does the tour... could use some tips.." she said, walking and following the professor. The professor meanwhile lead them out of town and to the mountain, to a cave that led into the volcano. Moving into the tunnel, they saw fossils of some of the grimm. "The fantastic thing is students, these grimm were petrified instead of their normal death cycles meaning we can study them without worry of evaporation." he explained and led them into the "core" of the volcano, an open ledge area that they could stand in. On one side admist rocks was three rather odd looking grimm. "These are the mysterious ones, we don't know much of them." he said, the astute of the group would see glasses near the edge of the lava pool, seemingly cracked and broken.

She nodded and smiled to her teammates replies. “Excellent, I’ll give my folks a call after class and give ‘em a heads up.”

The trip to the site was uneventful, though once they got there Silvi found herself getting progressively more bored as they moved through the cavern. The professor was talking about something, but between her lack of decent sleep and general disinterest in the topic at hand, she was barely listening to the words being said.

Listlessly eyeing the rock-like lumps of what were supposedly ancient Grimm, her mind began to wander. She started thinking about what she needed to tweak the next time she was servicing Moonlight Shard; while it was a well-made weapon, and her mum had made sure it’s modernization was a top notch job, the age of it meant that it still needed a level of regular maintenance greater than a newer design…like Aegis Hammer.

Her wandering thoughts were interrupted when she spotted an out of place shape on the cave floor. Being a lava formed cave, it was primarily all smooth, flowing lines and forms created by the movement of molten stone; the angular and reflective shape stood out like a signal fire in the forest. Taking a few steps towards the object, she chuckled quietly to herself when she realized what it was; a damaged, but obviously fairly new, pair of glasses. “Well somebody had a shitty day.” She muttered. Must’ve belonged to one of Dawn’s colleagues…or maybe an assistant.

Aiden turns his focus towards the Grim as they walk through the tunnel. He really never seen Grim up close and this was sort of frightening for him. Actual monsters right before his eyes. Though before he could make a comment about them, the group stop. Aiden saw Silvi picking something up as he walks over to her.

"Huh, someone must have been down here already." Aiden looks around as something came to his mind. Not saying anything yet to his teammates as he didn't want to appear paranoid. His eyes shift around to see more of the cave. If glasses were on the ground and damage. That could mean he was attacked by something. Though there no blood so it wasn't Grim. He didn't have a good feeling about this.

"Oh, right, My apollogies students!" Said the professor, walking over and taking the glasses, matching his pair he was wearing. "Wondered where those had gotten to while i was down here scouting to make sure it was fine for you students!" said the man, obviously a bit flustered as he shoved them into his pockets. "Hazzards of exploring ofcourse!"
Mika just shrugged it off, showing curiosity to the forms before her. Studying closer, The three forms were kind of smooth and almost blobby with a single porcelain looking face. "Goinig to guess... you are one of the... ones studying them..." she said, getting closer. "What do you.. guys think about them." she asked looking back at Silvi and Aiden.

When the Professor proclaimed that the busted up glasses were his, she simply shook her head slightly and rolled her eyes; with that minor distraction gone, she went back to being bored; this time sitting down on the melted lump of a Grimm that might have been something like a boarbatusk.

"What do you.. guys think about them."

Looking over at Mika from her seat, Silvi gave a disinterested shrug, rapping a knuckle on a partially visible bit of what had been the creatures armour. “Dead is dead; like I said before, all I really need to know is where’s the best place to shoot ‘em or stab ‘em.”

Aiden felt like facepalming himself after the professor claim the glasses were his. 'Of all the reckless!' he thought but stop himself from continuing. No point in getting mad or annoyed at all about something so small. Shaking his head as well with Silvi, but for different reasons. 'I really should stop being so paranoid...

Now he was glad he didn't say anything to his teammates. As he heard Mika spoked up and asked what they thought about the Grimm that were stuck here. "They're kindof neat. Though I'm interested in learning more about how they change over time..if they did." He then turn to Silvi, "And come on Silvi, you should learn more about them instead of where to kill them. You should also learn their attack patterns and behaviors. That'll also come in handy."

“ You should also learn their attack patterns and behaviours. That'll also come in handy."

Silvi glanced back at Aiden and rolled her eyes. “No shit,” She smirked. “I thought that would’ve been obvious.” Standing, she drew her blade and ran the tip of it slowly across the fused remains, scoring it lightly. “Tell me…just how is looking at one of these lumps going to teach me what to look for just before a Beowolf leaps? Or where the soft spots on a Beringal are? Or how to best avoid a pinion from a Nevermore?”

Scoring a second line parallel to the first one, she let out a small, bored, sigh. “All this tells me is that if you dump a bunch of molten rock on ‘em fast enough, they don’t disintegrate…not exactly something one is likely to be able to do mid-fight.”

As Silvi scored the blob, she might have noticed something a bit off about it, but then again it was a blob of fossilized grimm, it was always going to be "off".
"You see miss Silvi that is where you are wrong, these ancient blob forms are interesting to look at and unseen before or outside this area. Now, may i ask the class what is the significance of this?" He asked the group in general.

Now is when Mika piped up. "It is important because you can run into unique variants or unseen grimm and need to be able to identify weakpoints at a glance..." she said, happy to be in the hot cauldron.

The doctor walked over to the blobbed ones. "Exactly my point. now who can identify possible weakpoints to attack on these?" he asked and gestured to them. The blobs had a porcelain-like mask and was otherwise featureless.

Aiden sigh as he shook his head a bit at Silvi way of acting. He would have made a comment but the professor already said what he wanted to say. He had seen a lot of Silvi action in young thugs in his old gang. Think they're ready to beat up anyone cause they know how to fight. Though when the day came, they normally got hurt or died from overconfidence. He'll probably try to talk to her about that later on as he focus on the task at hand.

Aiden tried to look for a weak point on the blob but looking at the featureless body it was hard to. "Eh...can't really tell much about it. If it was some of the grim I have seen in books I could probably tell a few weak points.." Aiden said and then thought, 'or humans. I can fully tell weak points of some humans or fanus.'

She didn’t quite roll her eyes at the professor, but it was a near thing; instead, she sheathed her sword and sat back down on the melted Grimm, mentally shrugging off the ‘look’ Aiden gave her. Keeping half an ear on what people were saying, mostly in case someone directed a question at her, she focused the majority of her attention on either mentally practicing her forms and movements, or other more ‘frivolous’ thoughts.

With a soft ‘huff’ she shifted slightly and fought the urge to pull out her scroll; since the fall of Beacon and the network, it could only connect locally, but that would be enough for her to bug her sister to see how her latest project was coming along. That said, Silvi was pretty sure doing so would probably earn her Professor Dawn’s ire. Instead she made do with trying to at least look like she was paying attention.

"Armor usually protects vital organs or other such important features. As of now, we only have one piece of armor on the grimm that is apparent." he said and pointed to the face mask. "This is the only solid appearing structure on the creature, therefore you must either punch through the mask or get around it from another angle. "One could assume that hacking at the rest of the mass might merely be a waste of time as the grimm itself has not bothered to armor it either."

Moving a bit closer to Silvi as he nudges her a bit. Not hard or in a mean manner, it was to get her attention. "So...whats wrong with you?" He whispers very lightly to her, almost to the point it was hardly a whisper. Though he knew her wolf-like ears would pick up what he continues, "you seem a bit...off ever since we actually started the classes."

Silvi couldn’t help but roll her eyes at Professor Dawn’s comment. She’d watched a lot of videos of both her aunt and other hunters and huntresses, and while creatures of Griff never seemed put off by the loss of a limb; it certainly had an effect on them. Cutting the arms off a Beringel might not kill it, but it certainly made it a lot less of a threat.

"So...what’s wrong with you?" You seem a bit...off ever since we actually started the classes."

Aiden’s soft voice made her twitch, as she hadn’t noticed him moving over towards were she’d sat. Curling her tail up onto her lap, she slowly started to run her fingers though the hair. “I’m bored,” She replied just as softly. “I thought they’d be teaching use useful things about fighting Grimm…you know…how to deal with a charging Goliath, how best to combat Lancers or Nevermores while on foot, you know…shit like that.”

Yawning, she stopped stroking her tail and stretched, arching backwards slightly over the melted lump she was propped against. “This stuff,” She added, motioning slightly towards the professor. “Might be relevant to the academics that study Grimm, but I don’t see the relevance for a Huntress.”
