RALPH SEEMS TO BE A MAN OF RELATIVELY FAIR TEMPERAMENT. Shows signs of being cool and collective, a tough exterior to break even when given egregious circumstances. Performs the majority of his duties with crisp, calm precision but has showed a fervent streak during faster-paced training. When working around other's he has shown himself to be rather contradictory. In general he's been shown as intensively eager and unpredictable off-duty. Even harboring unexpected traits for someone of his ability or personality.

Has quite the affinity for peace. Has shown a lack of attachment to team-members, despite how close they've gotten. Some describe him as a 'softie' or 'teddy-bear', yet behavior during training and initial [evaluation] says otherwise. Regardless of these oddities, seems to fair-well when given any team arrangement.


SEEMS TO HAVE HAD AN HONEST UPBRINGING. Born in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, but after three years his family abruptly moved to New Hampshire. Only relatives seems to be his mother, father, and a younger sister. Though it'd be safe to assume that he has detached himself from them, as their only mention(s) have been in passing. Throughout school exhibited borderline average grades; every so often he'd go above the threshold, before dipping back down. Played a few years of varsity soccer and was even commended for his leadership and teamwork. After highschool, had plans of going to a college out West to major in the literary field.

Was dropped for an unknown reason. [NOTE: Speculation of file combined with psych. report suggests 'restlessness'] Instead he enlisted in the U.S Navy and breezed throughout bootcamp, showcasing a knowledge of complex strategies. Went on to work as a Diver until contract was up. Described to be intensely enthusiastic about his job by all that worked with him, or over. After serving he immediately went to work for an Mercenary group, Placu. Worked briefly as a technician before shifting his focus to being an armed guard. Served a total of three years, until, once again, he found interest in another field that involved S-SWAT.

[NOTE: Placu has since become partially-defunct, with the majority of it's overseas operations being indefinitely halted. This comes to the loss of many as throughout it's tenure it was able to be one of the few Merc-groups to keep a squeaky-clean reputation.]

General Appearance:
Has a small Estonian flag that he keeps wrapped around the bottom of his left elbow. He also wears a police badge from the city of Valga around his neck, but he usually keeps it beneath his clothing/armor. Apart from this, however, he adheres to standard uniform procedure to the letter.

Psych Evaluation:
Heigo used to be a man of few words, but ever since his career in policing, he's coped with situations that require him to be talkative. Off the field, however, he's just as likely to respond to a question with a few movements of his head than with an actual answer. He doesn't show it, but he harbors a silent hatred of the supernatural, believing that his family in particular has been cursed by the paranormal, a sentiment originally fostered in him by his mother. Heigo is protective of his friends, both on and off the field, and those lucky enough to be seen as "true friends" by Heigo will likely see him stick up for them even if they don't particularly need it.

Heigo thoroughly enjoys his work as a policeman, but ever since he became a SWAT officer, his feelings on his work have dampened slightly. He found more satisfaction bagging criminals on the street than kicking in doors and dropping bodies.

Despite his outwardly quiet appearance, Heigo likes to do loud things. He enjoys going to nightclubs, bars, and anywhere else where the music is loud and the drinks are strong. His favorite weekend activity is hosting guests at his place and throwing get-togethers of his own. He also spends a lot of time on the shooting range whenever he's at headquarters, so anybody looking for him can probably find him there when he's not diligently filling out reports or eating some homemade lunch.

History:
Heigo was not originally a resident of the United States. He was born in Valga, a small city in the baltic state of Estonia. Heigo was raised by his single mother, who never remarried after Heigo's father disappeared when Heigo was seven. His mother recalls him fondly, however, and whenever Heigo would ask his mother where his father went, she'd always say that he was "taken," because she believed the man loved his wife and son too much to just leave them. His mother was also deeply superstitious, and often blamed the dissappearance of Heigo's father on the supernatural.

The loss of his father struck Heigo deeply, and it sparked within him a desire to prevent the same thing from happening to others. When he was 19, he decided to join the Valga city police force after doing some special programs in high school. He was twenty-one and a few months away from joining when his mother disappeared as well. At first, it redouble Heigo's efforts to rejoin the police, and he went along with several search parties while he was still in the academy. When the months dragged on, Heigo had started to lose hope, as there was simply no trace of her. By this point graduated from the academy, but had delayed his induction so he could dedicate more time searching for his mother, taking a part-time job in the meantime.

Six more months went by, and nothing had come up. The police department wanted to close the case, as they could no longer dedicate the manpower. Heartbroken and in despair, Heigo decided he would leave. He still wanted to be a police officer, but could no longer stand the heartache of being in Valga.

So, he took a plane to New Hampshire after saving up enough money to get an apartment in one of the better parts of town. His decision to come to America was influenced by one of his friends, who'd seen too many imported action movies and said being a cop in America would be the best. He was twenty-two when he arrived, and he went to the police department to seek employment. Fortunately, he'd studied up on his English before he left, and after a favorable interview with the recruiter, he was also fortunate enough to get his credentials from Estonia verified. He became a beat cop and thrived in the position. He was commended for his athleticism, ability to subdue suspects, and for the occasional bit of heroism, mostly in his tendency to protect others over apprehending suspects. In his spare time, he slowly attended classes on the Russian fighting style known as Sambo.

As he got better, he was recommended for the SWAT team when he was 28. He's been on the SWAT force for little more than a year, but he's a promising rookie.

Maybe that's why the assigned him to S-SWAT when the team was being formed.

Psych Evaluation:
Austin is a kind, down-to-earth person with a genuine personality and a constant sense of hospitality and empathy. His sense of humor is often crude, and he doesn’t beat around the bush with statements, being rather blunt, while still retaining his politeness. He is rather patriotic, especially when it comes to his home state of Tennessee, and transplants his own Appalachian culture with him wherever he goes, from the accent to his casual attire, plastered with the colors and crests of both the University of Tennessee at Knoxville and East Tennessee University at Johnson City.

History:
Austin was born in the Limestone community of Greene County, Tennessee in 1989. He attended Chuckey Primary School and then Chuckey-Doak High School before graduating with a 3.7 GPA. He enlisted in the US Army National Guard soon after, and shipped to Fort Benning, Georgia, attending basic training and advanced training there before being assigned to Troop L, 3rd Squadron, 278th Armored Cavalry Regiment the following year.

Troop L, resident in his own Greene County, allowed him to live and work in his hometown with minimal effort necessary for the required monthly duty report. On a month-long excursion to a troop duty post at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, he completed the famed Spur Ride and earned his silver spurs, and was deployed to Iraq with the rest of the regiment as part of the fourth phase of Operation Iraqi Freedom, more specifically to Camp Speicher near Tikrit with the rest of 3rd Squadron.

He returned with gold spurs and a combat action badge, both indicative of combat service, and was honorably discharged the following year. He sought a subsequent law enforcement career with the Tennessee Highway Patrol as a State Trooper, serving for three years in the East Tennessee District before being approached by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (ATF) with an offering for the position as part of one of the DEA-ATF cooperative Special Response Teams (SRTs) deployed abroad across the US.

He served for four years with postings across the US, from the Southern California District headquartered in Los Angeles to the Northern Virginia District headquartered in Richmond before formal request for federal reassignment to a local posting. He was initially slotted as an SRT attache for the S-SWAT team in Anytown City, New Hampshire, before being affirmed as a permanent member.
