So I've made this Int Check a loooooooong time ago and then had to abruptly leave the guild (holy crap it's so different now) due to IRL circumstances. Apparently 3 or so years later and my tastes haven't changed, so here are some vague ideas of things that I would love to play out. These ideas are not set in stone and are subject to discussion/change...I'm flexible with everything. So if you want to mix and match ideas, take one facet of an idea and use it instead of the whole thing, or even just want to use these ideas as a reference for what I'm looking for because you have an idea of your own feel free to suggest.

I used both the casual and advanced tags because I don't know sometimes I write a whole lot and sometimes I wrote a paragraph and that's it. I'm okay with either and I'm not picky. Hell, sometimes even a paragraph is too much to write...like if our characters are having a back and forth conversation with no real emotional drive behind it. So long as thought is put into each post and I'm given enough to work with and there's some kind of life into the posts then we're good. Oh yeah, I love horror, obviously. I like to explore gritty themes, done tastefully of course. I'm okay with romance if it occurs naturally. Please be upfront if you want it to eventually be a thing for sure instead of waiting until we're starting and trying to shoehorn it in. At least if you tell me we can work together to see if it will work. I don't like my RPs to entirely revolve around romance but I don't mind it being a subplot or whatever (also fade to black is my friend FYI). Anyway, now that that's out of the way here are my ideas.

Modern School Setting
Lots of strange things happening in the school lately and our characters (could be best friends, dating, related, or not even know one another) somehow get in the thick of it. Maybe one of them discovers a weird creature in the boiler room, or maybe the teachers are starting to act really creepy and one of our characters get too curious for their own good. Maybe the teachers are experimenting on students for whatever reason, or maybe they're possessed or controlled by something. Maybe magic is involved, or maybe it's science. Either way our two characters end up trying to figure it out without causing a panic.

Fantasy or Modern Fantasy
For some reason the idea of elves, dwarves, toads, fairies, etc investigating murders or curses appeals to me greatly. Maybe because I've been playing Wolf Among Us lately (for those familiar with the game, I would like to do something similar too as an idea). Maybe they all live in one big community in a forest, or maybe there's a race of underground people/creatures that have to figure out what's going on or else they'll be forced to move to the surface where their kind is hated! Maybe all these creatures live in secret among humans and have to solve their own problems/murders/ect (once again Wolf Among Us influence coming in)

Space
Our characters are part of a crew on a ship, things go bad. Maybe the crew accidentally bring an alien on board. Maybe there's a disease spreading across the ship that make people go crazy, or transform into abominations. Or a scientist is on board that decides he/she wants to test this new strain on the crew members in secret. Or it could take place on a planet that the ship just landed on, newly discovered, perhaps trying to find a place to colonize, and the place turns out to be inhabited by awful crap and our characters have to get out alive but the ship isn't running, or they ventured to far from it and are lost. (I'm more partial to being on the ship scenario myself, Dead Space much?)

Abandoned town
Our characters are curious about this old town not far from their own, and all the stories behind it, so they decide to go together. Or maybe they don't know one another and had the same idea (or they know one another in passing). However they get there, the town is weird, creepy, and housing some nasty stuff. Super vague because this was just a general idea that popped into my head as I wrote this post.

Anyway, this is what I have thought of, please feel free to expand on these ideas, add to them, or come up with something completely different. Just know that I want horror to be a theme because I just feel up to it lately. Also, I really like when the horror starts off vague and slow first, leaving characters unsure if what's happening is really something dangerous or in their heads before they find out something is actually really wrong. I post sort of frequently save for weekends when I'm away. I don't mind if you're slow so long as you don't mind that sometimes I might be slow as well. I want this to be a really chill RP. Also just because I like gritty themes and stuff doesn't mean I want ALL SERIOUS ALL THE TIME. I love injecting humor and wacky ideas so long as they fit and I really just want to have fun and go crazy. Let's make some really awesome stories man. I think I covered everything? Honestly I had a problem finishing reading your post, because my brain got stuck at the Modern School scenario and immediately started to create a character and revising possible plots. And now I just can’t get it out of my head. So I am thinking something along the lines of a girl coming to school as an exchange student from Europe, she doesn’t know anyone, she doesn’t really know how it works on American schools,...

Maybe that got your attention? 😊

I like to write longer posts, and prefer discussing the dialogs between the characters OOC and then putting them together into one collaborative post, rather than have multiple short posts with little bits of the conversation.

Sounds good to me. I really like the modern school setting since it has a lot of potential for all sorts of things. As an interesting contrast to your character who will enter in blind I can play a character who knows the ins and outs of the school because they're super nosy and always aware of everything around them.

Also I'm cool with putting short convos into one collaborative post as well!

Hmm...technically that would be a third since I have started plotting with someone else for that idea too so I thiiink I'm going to have to cut off the modern school setting. how about a fnaf set up (not really five nights at freadys) but like have two people working the night shift in an building like an old museum or something like that.

Okay that sounds like it could be a lot of fun. Maybe in some art museum but 90% of the art there is really weird and creepy stuff just to make it even worse. @Rafiel_purewing

Whoops, I somehow missed you there @Dragons ! I would so love to do some spacey shit. Maybe there's something they pick up or bring back from a derelict ship or something which causes some craziness on their own ship...which is what leads to the inevitable crash on to a planet that houses more terrible shit and happens to be where that thing they picked up came from?

Hey! I'd love to do something based off of the Wolf Among Us plot. I'm a big fan of urban fantasy, and I love their transformations when their glamor come off, so if we could interpret that into our murder mystery that would be lovely. Should I PM you?

I may interested in doing a Fantasy roleplay, that is if you don't mind. I usually do around 1-3 paragraphs, although I haven't done many roleplays in a while so I may be a little rusty. I could also post a sample, if you'd like. I could do low fantasy or high fantasy, depending on what you'd like.

@OakTree Fantasy sounds good to me. I keep it low fantasy because I feel like there's more wiggle room and also I'm bad at high fantasy. No need for a sample, also 1-3 paragraphs is perfectly fine. Did you have a specific preference for an idea? If not I thought the little community in a forest has potential for some fun stuff.
