Color Theme Obsidian Name Jasper 'Jazz' Moreno Age 17 Gender Female Species Human Build Predominantly an Ectomorph but with Mesmomorph qualities of being able to gain more muscle and retain it. In other words, Jazz has a bit of a more lean build but with the muscles required for her weapon. Her body mainly being built for swifter movements, gymnastics, aerobatics, and such. She does have muscles though, having lived and worked on a farm her whole life, along with being trained in using a bow and swords (both of which require a certain amount of muscles and strength to be used). Personality Jazz is an outgoing person who could careless on the outside what others think about her, although on the inside she has the insecurity like most people do. She also is a very strong-willed, stubborn girl who isn't really willing to back down if you challenge her which can cause her to be reckless at times. On top of that she is what some would call a fireball or feisty, she is not someone you want to really mess with nor do you want to mess with her teammates because she is protective of those she cares for. Jazz enjoys having fun and hates seeing her teammates and friends down so she will typically do something weird or crazy to get them out of their funk, hell she'd even make a fool out of herself if necessary. Jazz is full of confidence so embarrassing herself is something she sees as just another part of the day. Despite coming off as a mainly loud, fun, feisty, confident person she knows when she needs to be serious or when someone may need her sincere, shoulder to cry on side. It may be a slightly awkward side of herself but she can be either of those if necessary.
Backstory Jazz was born into a small farm community in basically the middle of nowhere. The community was quiet for the most part, except for small things every now and then. You see, the community just kept repeating the same cycle year after year, Jazz being pulled into it with her older brothers and sister when she came to age for it. The only complaint Jazz had was having to do the chores that were deemed to be the chores for the females of the community, so while her brothers got to roughhouse and go chop down trees and hunt, Jazz was stuck washing clothes, washing dishes, feeding the animals, and such. To Jazz, this was unfair and she wasn't going to have any of it. So as she grew older she began acting out and sneaking off during chores to help her older brothers who didn't mind having their sister with them. With them she would roughhouse, get dirty, go hunting, and do all the things her parents and the rest of her small community didn't want her doing.
By the age of 10 though, Jazz's parents gave up on reprimanding her and just let her do as she pleased much to the rest of the communities dismay. Although soon the community could care less about what the girl was doing as they had a new problem... Grimm. Around when Jazz turned 11 Grimm began to frequently attack the farming community, killing the animals, destroying farms, and killing the families of the farms. It caused a dark cloud to settle over the town. Jazz saw the sadness these creatures brought and that only made her more curious about the creatures but her parents wouldn't tell her anything more than she needed to never go outside alone and that it wasn't something Jazz should worry about. But of course, Jazz cared for her family and community so she was instantly worried by her parents' words.
It was a few weeks after the first Grimm attack on the night of a community meeting that Jazz's life changed forever. That night led to her being trained by the retired huntswoman who had helped save her town who also helped her make her weapon. Through the training, she unlocked her semblance and was able to get into an academy. Jazz is now a student at Beacon Academy and ready to begin her adventure with her teammates on the road to becoming Huntsmen and Huntswomen.
Jazz had been told to stay home with two of her brothers that were still younger than 18, her older sister, and her brother-in-law and to not leave the house. She knew that night they'd be talking about the Grimm and what the plan was to deal with them and she wanted to know all of it. Jazz was sick of being not told anything, she had only learned the name of the creatures through eavesdropping and if that was how she was going to have to learn the rest of the information, then that's how it was going to go.
Determined Jazz grabbed her handmade hunting bow and arrows, made with her eldest brother's help, and hopped onto one of the family's horses before riding towards the community meeting hall. When she was a good 40ft away and near a good place to tie up her horse she hopped down and tied the horse to a post before sneaking to the open door of the meeting hall. She sat outside, able to hear every word being said. Jazz was able to learn that a group of volunteers was going to fight the Grimm if they were to attack any more farms as the community awaited the arrival of a retired huntress from a few towns over that was going to provide help. That was all Jazz was able to hear before her brother-in-law had her thrown over his shoulder and back to her horse and his who stood side by side waiting for them. They rode back in silence, the annoyance of her brother-in-law clear in the air, the silence was cut short by a scream and a roar from ahead of them.
Both of them rode faster until they reached the family farm in time to see a Grimm knock Jazz's sister into the side of her burning family home. Jazz got off the horse and froze in shock as she watched her brother-in-law run to help his wife and her sister. He seemed to forget about the young girl as he picked up the woman and ran off to get somewhere safe. Jazz watched as a Grimm took off after them and then looked as she heard an animal's cry to see a lamb be killed by another Grimm. Something inside of her snapped and she took her flimsy homemade bow and notched an arrow before shooting the Grimm in the side. The only thing it did was piss off the Grimm and get its attention. The Grimm growled at her and began stalking towards her, Jazz took a few steps back slowly before quickly turning and taking off running as fast as she could knowing the Grimm was in pursuit.
Jazz ran as fast as she could but soon she tripped over a rock on the ground and went down hard. She heard the growl basically above her and she turned to look over her shoulder to see the Grimm above her. Jazz screamed and closed her eyes waiting for whatever end would come only to hear the impact of someone landing on the ground followed by the sound of a blade slicing through something. She slowly opened her eyes to see a woman with a large blade in hand and no more Grimm. The woman gave her a soft smile and helped the girl up not saying anything as she walked the girl to where her parents now were with her other brothers, all watching their family home burn. Her mother quickly wrapped her in a hug and the woman who had saved her ran off to kill more Grimm.
Later that night Jazz overheard her parents and brothers talking to her brother-in-law, they had found out that her sister had just passed and that her other two brothers had died early on in the attack trying to fight off the Grimm. It was also then that her family found out Jazz had run off to the meeting and that was why her brother-in-law was not at the house to help defend the others. She heard words of anger towards her, towards the situation, but multiple times she heard them say that if only she hadn't run off the others would still be alive. For the next hour, the words kept spinning in her head and she made a decision that forever changed her life.
Jazz packed a small bag with some extra clothes, a blanket, a knife, and some food. She wrote a note and left it on her pillow then snuck out the window and ran off to the main part of the community where she went to the community hall. In the hall, they kept all the communities wedding albums from way back when to the most recent. She found her sister's album and found the picture of her and her sister and took it along with a picture of her whole family. Then Jazz left and began to walk in the direction of the town she heard them say the huntress who helped them was from. By pure luck, she stumbled upon the huntress' camp and hid a distance away from it. For the next few days, she followed the huntress until one night the huntress snuck up on her and grabbed her bringing her to the camp. That was the day that the two developed an odd bond and Jazz began a new adventure in life.
Weapon Ebony Shroud Weapon Description Ebony Shroud is a bow and a pair of twin swords. To transform the weapon the twin swords can be attached together at their hilts. Upon attachment, the blades curve and a bowstring shoots from one tip of a blade to another creating a bow. In a quiver Jazz carries many arrows that she takes the time to put together. The arrows have color coordinated feathers to show which type of dust Jazz has made the arrows with although she only has three of each dust arrow and a lot more normal arrows in her quiver typically. Her quiver also locks her arrows in place so she can easily manuever around without worrying about them falling out until she pulls them out in a specific motion.
Semblance Ultimate Vision Semblance Description Jazz's semblance completely revolves around her eyes. It seems to be that she has two settings almost to her semblance. The first 'setting', which turns her eyes a bright, glowing yellow, is similar to the microscopic eyes but instead allows her to see things from far away like she is looking through a telescope or a sniper scope. The final 'setting' of her eye semblance is spatial perception. The spatial perception turns her eyes bright, glowing blue and allows her to be able to determine spatial measurements: the dimensions (length, width, and height), distances between objects, shapes and sizes of things, etc. She can also discern how far away something is and the close to the exact measurements of the proportions of an object.

Personality: Ezekiel, or Zeke as he prefers to be called instead, is a relatively calm individual, with his own values and virtues. He knows when to talk, when to communicate, and when to share his own wisdom, thus marking him as one to keep remarkable silence. He can be brutally honest, and won't hesitate from telling someone the truth. He never sugar-coats things. Zeke can be a loose cannon when angered. It can be very difficult to calm him down, but he often finds his release in destroying things. He doesn't favor working with others, but will do it if he has to. Zeke is a loner, and will often be seen doing things by himself. He loves to train and make himself better, because he believes that there is always room for improvement. He is not one for confrontation, because he knows his temper must be controlled at all costs. He can be quite stubborn, and does find combat to settle most things, but Zeke tends to force himself to agree that peace-talking is the best way to go. Zeke is a very steadfast and stolid person. He is also very strong and loyal.
Backstory:Being born a Faunus, Zeke was always teased. He hails from a small cottage on the far outskirts of Mistral, that being at least a mile or two from open society of the kingdom. For the first beginning years of his life, he was taught his weapon mechanics by his parents, as well as the wandering wisdom-filled uncle. But, for the most part, he was very self-taught in his art of fighting and semblance-usage. This was where he had learned to be more of a loner than be around many people. She became in tune with animals, as they were the only company he had really needed. Once old enough, Zeke was enrolled in Haven Academy and began training there. Like any Faunus, however, he was teased for his extra appendages and hybrid genes. His peers knew how to push his buttons, up to the point where the boy had learned both his hotheadedness as well as his patience. Of course, he never really had any friends, except for the occasional Faunus that he had happened to clique with. That was always at a minimal chance, so Zeke had learned that friends don't assist you in any way except for hurting you. He had taken in the lesson that purebred humans were untrustworthy beings that were incredible backstabbers to those who they gain the trust of.
Zeke—after 3 years at Haven Academy—had finally been drafted to a more prestigious academy. And that was Beacon. Finally, a place where he would be accepted for what he was. Somewhere where he would be in rankings because of his skill, not his breed. he was ecstatic, but, being such a stubborn boy (as well as being one that had learned to be nonchalant about most things), he didn't show such an emotion. Zeke had packed up his belongings right away, and began to manage and repair his weapon, as well as refine his own spirit. Beacon was the change he was looking for, and was definitely something he was going to be excited for.
Weapon: Virtus and Vitium Weapon Description: A twin set of tonfa's that can double as close range explosive rounds, and medium range pistols. The longer ends of the tonfa are where the close range explosive rounds are fired from, usually in combination of close melee combat to push the opposition back or cause them to falter. The shorter ends of the tonfa can be used as semi automatic pistols, with the clip being loaded in the handles of the tonfas. Commonly the pistols are used in fights that put some range between opponents and Zeke. Semblance: Body Breaker Semblance Description: Removes the persons limiter which increases the persons strength,speed,and senses immeasurably and continues to do so while the Semblance is still on this also turns off the persons pain sensors of the body so the person can fight to his/her content.
The overall weakness to this semblance is that the person can only maintain this state depending on their aura level if they run out the semblance turns off and the person is completely exhausted and the body will experience aching pain depending on what the person did during the Body Breaker state which leaves him/her open for attack. Combat Outfit Image/Description: Zekes combat outfit can be seen in the appearance image. It normally consists of the brown leather vest with a button up shirt underneath. Dark jeans cover his lower half and wears a pair of gloves on his hands. His wears a pair of boots when in combat. Casual Outfit Image/Description: His casual attire mostly consists of a plain white button up shirt, jeans, and a pair of normal shoes. Color Theme: Silver Name: Bran Brass Age: 17 Gender: Male Species: Human Build: Rather slim but very well muscled, with a very athletic build but not overly so still appearing small. Height: 5'5" Weight: 175 Pounds
Personality: Defiant, Bran shatters expectations few would expect a poor boy to have such skill and speak so well however he does thanks to having read and interacted with many higher class people who visited his father's shop. While he appears to be rather well to do and high class, he is, in fact, an open and kind person worrying greatly about his fellow students. He views himself as an artist as much as he is a huntsman with a sharp eye for detail and a love of fashion, Bran is a fighter who always looks good doing it.
Backstory: Born and raised in Mistral his father was a poor tailor and his mother ran the local inn in a small outlying area. Growing up the second youngest of the family he was pushed around by his two older sisters, who were both Faunus. As he grew he learned to fight, mostly thanks to the other boys picking on him for his status as a human with a Faunus mother. Training with his sisters who were obsessed with becoming Huntresses, of course, training was usually Bran being used to practice attacks on. However, with this and his bullies, he became adept at moving before he got hit and taking the punch when he did.
Bran grew up as a middle child, his oldest sister Autumn, and older sister Maple who both carried on their mother traits as deer Faunus. Bran, however, had no traits like that resembling closer to his father than his mother Spring. His older sisters when not in school or off training helped clean and serve food in the inn with their mother. Bran meanwhile assisted his father normally with tailor work, Bran quickly took to it as a natural even learning the advanced art of working with threads made from dust.
When he was thirteen he discovered his semblance walking home from school with his baby sister Bran he was attacked by bullies. Bran was grabbed by two of them who gripped his arms tightly as another punched him in the gut, his eyes waters as he tossed his head to the side to clear them he saw it. His little was shoved into the mud a bully attacking the young girl. Bran was furious, hurting him was one thing but his little sister still too small to defend herself even.
His aura began to glow as he raged struggling against the two that held him and as they prepared to punch Bran again his Semblance came to life. Around Bran were six copies of himself, clones who launched themselves at the three bullies, Bran swiftly joined them. Eventually, all three lay on the ground beaten and crying as Bran rushed over to his sister. However it was no longer just his sister, dozens of other children saw it Bran had a semblance and a powerful one.
After that Bran's sisters eagerly added their brother back into training all three revealing semblances they battled each other hand to hand. Yet Bran also practiced with his father's old hunting rifle, his keen eyes proved excellent for a marksman. While his family excited watched them grow worried, they were not rich by any means and thus the three siblings decided they would leave one at a time. Autumn the oldest left at sixteen to pursue a chance at attending Haven.
Maple left on her sixteenth birthday she began to travel around Mistral while she had no formal training her sheer tenacity and excitement gained her a place among the White Fang who we're at the time Mistral a mostly peaceful organization with a handful of fighters kept around to protector protesters and such of course that all changed recently.
Bran left one year later, heading right for Vale Beacon academy was his goal and he would get there no matter the cost arriving a few months before he could apply Bran practiced in outlying villages and unofficial tournaments. While he was by no means a starfighter for a young and untrained huntsman he performed exceedingly well even against more veteran opponents.
Weapon: The Needle and Thread Weapon Description: The Needle is a high powered sniper rifle built piece by piece by Bran who pieced collected the pieces over time to create his perfect rifle. With a strong backward kick but weighted barrel for fast follow up shots the Needle can take several different kinds of dust based round. The scope on the rifle has night vision allowing him to targets even in the darkness of night.
Should he be unable to engage at range on Bran's hands is a pair of studded gauntlets which along the back of his hands hold spools of thread. Able to launch and control these thin and strong lines of fabric while fighting fist to fist the can also use dust base threads for a more offensive attacks. The lines cut easily be cut but difficult to break with raw strength.
Semblance: Seven in One
Semblance Description: Bran can divide his Aura into sevenths making clones, each clone containing one seven of his power. This allows for multiple simultaneous strikes and clever strategies involving using his clones as bait or setting traps with them. However, they are very weak by comparison to Bran alone and should they be killed or wounded enough will cease to exist. Combat Outfit Image/Description: In combat Bran usual sports a white button-up shirt and an open black vest, with dark blue loose-fitting pants and short black and red boots. Casual Outfit Image/Description: Out of combat Bran normal sports all manner of suits which vary depending on what selects from his homemade wardrobe of clothing. However, whatever it is it usually contains dust threads which he weaves in his casual clothing in case of emergency they allow him an advantage though normal damage the clothing in the process.
Color Theme: Yellow Name: Aurelia Persinette Age: 17 Gender: Female Species: Human Appearance: A young woman whose height usually has her towering over most girls her age. Her limbs are long, giving her a willowy look, her skin on the paler side of the spectrum. Her features are refined, her curves leaving little impression on most (much to her dismay), her bust modest. She lets her blonde hair hang loosely around her most of the time, with bangs covering her forehead. Build: Tall and lanky Height: 5 feet 9 inches Weight: 165 lbs Personality: A friendly person with the outward appearance of a typical girl. She's bright, cheerful, and generally nice, though many note that she keeps people at a distance. She's more the type of person to follow then lead and makes sure to follow directions properly. She is gentle in nearly every aspect, whether it be her soft voice and her light and airy mannerisms. Despite her usually sunny nature, she will not hesitate to speak up when seeing others act maliciously, especially bullies, and won't tolerate any racism of any kind, either. In battle she is much more straightforward, taking every fight very seriously and striving to always improve herself. She is fascinated by weaponry as well, always eager to find their inner workings and uses.
Backstory: Aurelia was born into a family of much wealth, and she was loved very dearly by them. She was spoiled beyond reason, showered with gifts nearly every day, her mother and father loving, and she was happy. She did remember, however, that one day, suddenly everything changed. The happy childhood became one of much fighting and arguments. Her family became distant, her mother and father moreso, and it killed her to see everyone act that way. She knew it was somehow her fault--she could never forget the way her family members would glare at her, throwing her nasty looks, how her father's loving look turned to one made of pure sadness, though no one ever bothered to tell her why. And so she got her own little shell and stayed in it for as long as she could. It was not until her mother died that the fighting stopped, but now she felt a deep, painful sadness instead. She did not understand why anything had happened, and as frustrating as it was, there was nothing she could do. And so she just accepted it. The so called ray of sunshine was that now her father was like the way he used to be--kind, loving, and slightly smothering, though she loved it. He was back to normal, but she could never go back to the way she was. He understood, gently pulling her out of her shell, having the patience of a saint when she hid. While this was equally as confusing, it was easier to adapt to. Her father raised her the best he could, though sometimes when he thought she wasn't looking, he would have an expression of regret, but she never got the courage to ask him what was wrong. Years down the road, Aurelia discovered Dust, often looking towards the stores the same way most kids would look at candy stores. Her father got the hint and started practicing with her, showing her how to use it properly and warning her of the dangers. She then asked him what Dust was really used for, and he explained that Dust was what Hunters would use to fight off the Grim. She remembered perking up at the story, After much pleading, tears, and a very reluctant father's blessing, Aurelia enrolled into Sanctum Academy. Fighting was an alleviating experience. It was actually a little scary how free she felt in battle, but it was with pride that she found her calling as well as developed her own style. After much studying, many bruises, the discovery of weaponry and the delights of battle, she was accepted into Beacon, more then ready and willing to become a Huntress.
The family of Rampion were once well known in weapon manufacturing, only to fail when they were exposed to use Faunus slave labor. With their wealth quickly declining, they became desperate to keep their money. And so the family of Persinette came forward, offering them wealth, in exchange for closing down their company and to give their eldest daughter, a woman of astounding beauty by the name of Angelique, to the Persinette's eldest son, a young man with no ambition named Dominic, in marriage. The two were wed and locked into an unloving relationship, as Angelique resented being used by her family. Still, they were expected to continue the family line, and so Aurelia was born, and she was doted on by all. That isn't to say she fixed their relationship, as Dominic grew suspicious as Aurelia got older. You see, both Angelique and Dominic were dark haired and dark eyed, and yet Aurelia had blonde hair with bright eyes. He refused to believe that Aurelia was his daughter, and the two families got into a feud that would become common gossip. Unfortunately, this extended to the young girl; what once was a cheerful, happy child became very enclosed and afraid of nearly everyone. She would often hide wherever she could and not speak to anyone for days, afraid of getting yelled at and blamed for something she couldn't control. For many years this continued, and one day, Angelique grew very ill. On her deathbed, she begged Dominic to stop the fighting between the families, regretting that she let it continue for so long. It was here he asked if Aurelia was really his daughter, and he was heartbroken when she would not respond right away. She admitted to having an affair shortly after they were married. Still, she asked that he take care of Aurelia, as once she was dead no one would take care of her. Angelique died shortly after that, and despite a lingering anger, he made sure to try to go with her words. Despite her wishes, however, the two families shunned one another, and after Angelique's death, they never spoke or acknowledged one another ever again. While he failed at that, he made sure he wouldn't make the same mistake with Aurelia--even if she wasn't his blood, he admitted that she was the last person he truly loved.
Weapon: Rampion Weapon Description: A seemingly straightforward staff that looks like something straight out of a story book. Its primary use is as a conductor for Dust, though it has two 'modes' in expelling it. The first comes out as normally casted spells, usually quick and in rapid succession. The second spins the top, forming a sort of cannon from which Dust expels in a much larger, stronger amount, though it takes more time for each burst. Its metals are also heavy and durable, making the staff practical for close distance fighting as well.
Semblance: Efficiency Semblance Description: Aurelia is able to manipulate the way her body expends energy. If she need be, she can endure longer in battle then most people. She can also use more than usual if the situation arises, resulting in a 'power boost' of sorts. She doesn't require as much nourishment or sleep, either, though when she does finally crash it takes a lot longer for her to recover. This also extends to her usage of Dust: she uses less Dust for her spells, and is able to fire off much more then the average person.
Combat Outfit Image/Description: Her usual battle attire leans towards the simpler side, consisting of a black crop top coupled with a ratted gray plaid skirt. She usually has a dark pink jacket on top, short black boots, and a single thigh-high fishnet stocking covering her left leg, her right leg having a mismatching gray tube sock that stops below her knee. She ties her hair to the side, claiming it helps her 'keep her balance', though most suspect it's more for the style factor. Casual Outfit Image/Description: Her casualoutfits vary, though they're guaranteed to be frilly and feminine. She tries to dress on the modest side, though her skirts end up coming out a little shorter than intended due to her height. Theme: Glitter and Gold Quote: "All that glitters is not gold."
