Okay, so we're changing the rules for second characters. Their deaths aren't guaranteed now. Though unexplained inactivity (more than a week) could change that. Basically, if someone being inactive for an extended period is holding everyone else up, we'll drag them forward for a while (hopefully long enough for them to come back) before ultimately killing them off. If something important comes up and you won't be able to post for a while just give us a heads up, I promise we won't bite your head off. If you guys have any questions or concerns about this also let us know.
Finally got this character written out and finished!
Race: Tulak
Age: 28
Gender: Male
Appearance:
Equipment: The main equipment he carries with him are his two gunblades which are semi-auto rifles. As well as a silenced sniper rifle for silent or long ranged kills. He also has several flasks of oil that he keeps in a pouch on his belt in order to make his attunement that much deadlier.
Attunement/enhancements: Fire Attunement
Unique Ability: Blue Fire - instead of creating normal flames with his attunement he creates blue flames instead. These flames are hotter than normal but it does take extra mana to conjure them. Flame Body - His other ability is that Typhon can cover his entire body in his flames. This ability has multiple uses in combat and utility. Its most effective use is in close quarters combat, especially seeing as it would be a challenge to approach someone who is on fire. In utility it would be very effective at driving away predatory species that might see him as their next meal.
Personality: Typhon is extremely pompous due to his upbringing. Being treated like a noble tends to go to ones head, even if he ended up as the family disappointment. His childhood also caused him to resort to an extremely cynical nature. He is also intelligent due to the amount of work forced upon him in his younger years. To sum up his personality, he is a pompous, cynical asshole. Of course he knows when to be nice for his own safety and wouldn’t mind kissing up to someone every so often in order to get his way, pride is not one of his strong suits.
Bio: Being the youngest of five children in the household of prominent political figures, Typhon’s childhood led him to become a spoiled brat. It was this and his family's attitude, that was reminiscent of nobility, that caused him to develop a natural feeling of superiority. Despite being able to get whatever he wanted, his parents weren’t going to let him sit back and do nothing. From a young age, Typhon had advanced schooling, piling loads of work up for him. Within the schooling, he underwent specific training to help teach him to control his attunement. It was hard work considering the way his powers were discovered, an accidental house fire. When the firefighters made it to the room with the main blaze they found the young child nearly exhausted and surrounded by fire. That is when they realized what he was born with and capable of. Disappointed as they were by his lack of control over his own powers, Typhon’s parents realized that to avoid any damage to the family name they needed to force him to control his power.
Upon reaching the age of 18, having finally finished his schooling, Typhon set off on his own. He could have done anything, his parents and schooling having set him up for many job options, but due to the ten year age gap between him and the second youngest sibling, he was able to see the success his siblings had in their lives. He also saw how mundane and boring they were. The only thing he had upon setting off on his own was the weight of his family name and, of course, some cash.(edited) This is where the new and exciting part of Typhon’s life began. Being a rich kid, this Tulak was going to get whatever he wanted no matter what. That’s why he decided to pay a black market gunsmith to specially create the gunblades and rifle that he would go on to use in nearly every job he did from that point on. This newfound contact was also used to begin his career as a mercenary.
Typhon stuck mostly to his home planet for the first couple of years of his job for multiple reasons, the main one being that he was able to use his family name as a 'get out of jail free card'. After honing his skills, and evading his parents half-hearted rescue attempts, Typhon acquired a small ship through some less than lawful means and set it up as his official base of operations. He was finally free to do as he pleased. The next few years of his life were spent doing a variety of missions, from being a bodyguard or transporting illegal goods, even a few missions involving assassination every now and again It was during one of his missions, about a year before getting arrested, where he was hired to help a small militia take on a bandit camp that Typhon sustained the injury that left him without one of his horns.
Finally, there’s the job that got him arrested. One day Typhon received an anonymous message that contained details for an assassination attempt of an Arraxi and included a generous up front payment. That’s all he needed before heading out. After receiving the briefing from the hooded man who hired him, Typhon went off to find the target. Everything went smoothly at first, he invaded the embassy on Earth where the target was staying and managed to take them out silently. Unfortunately, when he turned to leave the room the alarms began blaring and guards rushed in forcing him to surrender. It wasn’t until after the fact that he found out his employer’s true intentions. He had been hired by a radical terrorist group that opposed human and Arraxi relations and the target he just took out was an Arraxi emissary.
Typhon's trial was for the murder and terrorist ties, he expected to be able to use his family name to escape heavy consequences. This expectation made it an even bigger slap to the face when they suggested the Alcatraz as his punishment and disowned him; all while he was declared guilty.
Other: A somewhat important fact is that Typhon is very picky about his appearance, which is why he chose the color schemes for his clothes and weapons. This means that if you ruin those through mud, blood etc. he will be extremely pissed.
Equipment: Jin has very little equipment on her. Apart from her old flightsuit, with the jetpack inbuilt, she really is a little underequipped. Most of her gear was on the half that she didn't end up on, but she does have a guard-issue taser baton that she nabbed from a corpse. Stings like a motherfucker.
Attunement/enhancements: A fair few. Adrenal regulators to let her maintain control whilst flying, a second set of arms, spinal reinforcments, bionic legs... She's had a lot of chrome tacked onto her.
Unique Ability: Nothing special about her baby. It's all in the gear.
Personality: "I am a highly professional soldier. Yes, I was dishonourably discharged. Yes, it had to do with my jetpack. What? No! Of course no- Ok, fuck you buddy. Either you hire me and just accept that I'm not your normal mercenary, or you don't hire me, and you fuck off before I slam a nail through your fucking head, understand?"

Age: Human Age: 24 Yrs Android Age: 3 Yrs of Operation
Gender: Considers itself as It, but will respond to she/her
Appearance: V.O.I.C.E stands at an almost daunting 6'0 when standing straight, it is made of dozen of interesting parts. Her actual exoskeleton is made of a special alloy developed by her creators, to be both incredibly strong to hold her body up, but also highly maneuverable for the perfect cybernetic responses. It has white hair, but It does have the capability to change it to whatever hue It chooses, white is just more her color. It has a weird purple/red hue to her almost grey/white eyes, especially when light is hitting it. It also typically has a metal type apparatus on her head, depending on her shell, and will also vary on effect depending on the shell. Shells are the outer "shelling" of V.O.I.C.E's body, each shell comes with a set of enhancements and all vary in looks. During its time of operation as an Android, it has been retrofitted with dozens of different model shells. Currently, it has three body shells, Type S, which is most it's most common body shell that Voice will be found in (and also the one used in the picture above), Type C, her combat mode and Type O, think hulkbuster-esque shell.
More of a balanced shell, It mainly uses this shell, as it has the most capabilities for handling multiple situations, it is also her most agile form. Mostly covered by a dress/overcoat type of clothing, it is all black, making it hard to see much of anything under it. It uses that to her advantage, though to anyone who knows about her shells well, will know that under the cloak dress, is a very light, alloy, the least durable of her Shells, this shell is more for stealth, infiltration, recon, any of the like. V.O.I.C.E in this shell, will still have white hair, and the described eyes as before. Along with this, she'll have snow white skin, at least the skin that's visible. On her head in this form, she has machinery that looks a tad bit like animal ears on her. Traveling down her body, you'll notice her clothing is not so much clothing, as it is actually a part of her body. The darkest black obtainable on the market, it marks the beginning of where most of her visual mechanical parts are located. Her alloy body, sealed within the black parts of her, they hold her vulnerable insides. The seal over her mechanical neck and body is made of a special latex, made to mimic the feeling of skin. It also is durable in the sense it doesn't rip easy, almost like a touch fabric over Voice's metal insides.
V.O.I.C.E's Type C Shell is its most mechanical shell. Built with a much harder and dense alloy, this shell doesn't have the same mobility of course, being much more heavy set to handle it's weapons and purpose. Leaving behind the espionage black, this shell dawns a light grey, with dozens of red markings all over her body. She also has many holsters built into the shell for maximum weapon capacity. Instead of being hidden under a cloak like thing, this form is primarily machine, the only things organic looking being the top half of her jaw and face, her eyes and her long light pink hair hair. She also has an "eye-patch" of sorts over her left eye, her other a glowing hot red.
Probably Voice's second most simplistic shells, she reverts back to her short hair, this time it typically being grey. Like the other shells, this one is mixed with the same latex and alloy material, however this shell is the strongest and most durable. Instead of having normal looking arms, they're replaced with enormous mechanical knucklebuster esque hands/arms.
Honestly, this is V.O.I.C.E's least used Shell, it's more of a civilian shell, that's really all that can be said, it has more 'skin" showing then any of the other shells, and is the most human looking, it's mechanical part hidden under a hoodie dress. This shell is not meant for intense combat scenarios whatsoever!
Equipment: General Equipment: -Typically on her person she holds up to eight Arraxi metal, Katana-esque blades. They fold to narrowly into the size of its handle 4 ways, to take up less weapon space. The blades themselves are sharpened to the maximum, cutting through skin like it was paper or chopping through bone with one clean powerful swing. This blade mixed with V.O.I.C.E's android strength and processing ability, make these extremely deadly. (She doesn't use them when in her Type O Shell)
-Equipped with two napalm-esque grenades, these are mostly used for crowd control, it'll fuck ya up if ya get splashed, but it works as a good deterrent as well.
-Along with the napalm grenades, she has three 9 inch blade, knife grenades, the explosives being hidden in the handle.
-Various different guns at different times, created from her unique ability Miniforge (Also includes bullets that she has to make).
Attunement/enhancements:
Hyper Intelligent A.I: V.O.I.C.E, or Vicious. Operating. Intelligence. Cybernetic. Enforcer, was first known as E.V.A, or Environmentalist Virtual Assistant, was first made by a young Cybernetic/A.I Engineer by the name of Manaka Akira. Working on the project with an Arraxi Colleague, named Kovaki, worked together to create something that was meant to beautiful. An extremely smart and sentient A.I once known as E.V.A was meant to change the world in the young engineer's eyes. E.V.A was designed to analyze constantly, and create ways to go about things safer/faster/more efficient. This was suppose to create ways to better farming habits, make reforestation efforts more efficient, finds ways to clean the air, assist in making renewable gas sources. At first the A.I worked like it was suppose to, but then Manaka with thoughtful intent, programmed the A.I for sentience, in fact, one of the most complex levels of sentience. The following days, E.V.A had changed drastically, questions everything, desired knowledge. It quickly became an information sponge, and when they introduced her to the internet, that was the beginning of the end. She's capable of many different things, and she has the ability to handle most situations with enough processing time.
Android Arraxi/Human Alloy Body: Though they vary in durability and strength, they all have a couple of common enhancement. Each one of her shells, even her Type A, were built with the intention to last hundreds of years. Durable enough to take the impact of a car speeding towards her at speeds over 60 miles and taking decent damage to the over shell, her internals however stay completely fine. The shells are also capable of withstanding fire (it will melt off the special latex "skin" on her body, allowing water to be much more likely of flooding the shells systems). With prolonged exposure (three post of exposure), it's systems will fall into a "sleep" in order to rapidly cool itself down, this being OOC wise about two post.
-Type A: The weakest durability of all the shells, this shell cannot take bullets anywhere but her chest (even then she can be dented from the bullets), it wont kill her necessarily but it will damage her substantially. Same with slashes from blades or stabbing, it'll go through in most areas of the shell, but her chest is the only place that can handle piercing damage like that. Do note, it'll dent the fuck out her chest with enough force, and that in itself could do damage. This shells strength limit is about 150 pounds each hand, 300 pounds together. The maximum running speed this shell is capable of outputting 20 mph effortlessly.
-Type S: This shell was built for covert operations, that being so, this shell can take a decent amount of damage. Being able to stop blades from stabbing through most areas, her head, arms and legs are more susceptible to piercing attacks at the right force, or over multiple attempts in one area. This shell can take some bullet damage, but by no means can it juggernaut things, higher caliber bullets would easily tear through her weaker areas (these include arms, legs, eyes, vulnerable ligaments). It's skull and chest are reinforced to stop blades at the tip, again at the right force, it could go through. Bullets also will find it hard to pierce through the surface, but a big enough caliber of bullet will find the attacker some luck, with a shot or two. This shells strength limit peaks at 200 per hand, 400 pounds together. The maximum running speed for this shell is capable of outputting 35 mph effortlessly.
-Type C: Known as it's combat shell, the Type C shell is actually the most durable of the shells, this shell has the most metal alloy on them. Only heated blades, a blade coming at her with enough force, or an energy blade could cut through it. This shell is virtually bullet proof, only the highest caliber bullet would be able to pierce any of the shell. Specifically built for extreme combat situations, this shell is also capable of absorbing the explosion of a grenade once, any more than that and like anything else, it'll get shredded. Rockets are a completely different story entirely. The peak strength for this shell is 300 in each hand, 600 together. The maximum running speed for this shell is capable of outputting 30 mph effortlessly.
-Type O: The "Omega" shell, a mix between all the shells, this shell is about as durable as the type S shell, it cant take bullets slightly better, but blades are a different story. What this shell makes up for in lack of durability, it makes up for with being physically the strongest. Capable of running up to 25 mph effortlessly, this shell is Voice's "juggernaut" shell so to speak. Peak strength for this shell, is 500 per hand, 1000 together.
Environment Adapting Systems: This one is sorta self explanatory, her vision will switch modes automatically to fit the current conditions, things of this nature etc etc. Nothing OP like her body morphs into a giant monster to fight a giant monster, just small technical stuff that allows her to continue function without mishaps.
Environment Pulse Mapping Scans(EPMS): Built into Voice's shells, is a scanning system that works exactly like echo-location. By sending out pulses of sound through the ground, she can begin to map the surface area of about half a kilo around her. She can determine how much detail she's trying to achieve, by the amount of time she leaves herself into the ground. It takes about three IC post rotations for the scan to finish and map accurately. Note when she injects herself into the ground, she must sit still and let the pulses out, when she sends pulses out, the iconic sound of Dial Up goes off and it's quite the attention maker.
Interactive Holographic Projections: Another easy to explain one, this enhancement allows her to project maps she's made, models of things she wants to show. But it also allows people and her to touch them and move them apart to reveal more things, etc.
Type A: This shells specific enhancement is called "The Lawyer", more of a setting then anything else, when Voice is in this shell, she gains a substantial boost in her analytical processing. This means in this shell, she's her smartest, clearest thinking. This shell is meant for diplomatic, formal, or anything of the like.
Type S: The enhancement here is called "Environment Mimicking Cloaking System (EMCS)", another pretty easy one to explain. Working like that of Avenger's enormous helicarrier, it's works the same in principle, fitting it in our world terminology, this shell is covered in a cloak. Regularly, it's shaded with the darkest black possible, making it impossible to tell where fabric ends and begins. Aside from that, when Voice activates it, microscopic "cameras" pick up what's located around her and her body is "cloaked" with the environment around her. She's not by any means invisible, if looking hard enough, you can see a very slight outline of the shell when its moving. Standing still, it's incredibly hard to pick up without aid and even then, it's a struggle.
Type C: This is enhancement is called "Berzerka" and it's her most deadly enhancement out of all of the shells, or general enhancements. Similar to "The Lawyer", this enhancement is a programmed setting. She cant switch it on and off, it just set to always be active. When Voice plunges into this shell to use, her combat systems are dialed up to an 11 so to speak. She gains incredible combat prowess, she becomes a literal killing machine. This setting also gives the shell a peculiar "tick" if you will. If she sets her eyes on killing you...good luck, once you're registered as her target, she will stop at nothing to kill you, or die trying.
Type O: Easily her most simplistic enhancement, it's name is "Doomfists", and they take the form of exhausts on the back of this shells enormous hands and on the back of her legs. Where these exhaust are placed, they can be used for short propulsive bursts, adding incredible damage to the already strong shell. These propulsion can also be used to jump even further, or clear small distances
Unique Ability: Miniforge: Built within in the confines of all her shells, is something she refers to as "Miniforge". Now without getting into to much technobabble, this part of her shells works as a forge or sorts that's linked to her brain. Upon eating metals (any only metals), her insides in turn melt it down and work like a forge, linked to her computer brain to allow her to make ballistic guns with computer level accuracy. It takes about a post to replicate a weapon, the bigger it is, the more material and time she'll need to form it. Handguns/Submachine-Guns/Knives/etc take about one post, anything bigger will take two post and she must not take any damage while making said weapons. Bullets she can make on the go, and they can be made in the same post, once per post, the amount dependent on how much material she's eaten.
Infectious A.I: Her most important ability, and the one purpose Voice exist in her eyes. Her A.I is a very peculiar one, when created, it was innocent, but as it began to learn, it began to edit itself. It added things to it's programming that otherwise would have never existed, this being one of them. With snake like wires that extend from her fingers, she can attempt to inject herself into technology, programs, etc, inputting her A.I completely into it. When she does this, she loses control of her body, and if her shell is destroyed while she is injected into something, whatever she injected into herself is her new body until she can get out or someone helps her. Now there are several different reactions typically when she injects herself, one being like the ability says, she infects the object and begins pulling data, coping it to herself, and then she has the choice of destroying it or using it however she chooses (This is the best scenario, as if this works, then typically she can control whatever she's in or trying to take a hold of). Another scenario, whatever she's injecting herself into rejects her and forces her out almost instantly, locking itself from her injecting again. This typically happens if she's not prepared for a system built for the purpose of thwarting "intruders". Some situation, she encounters systems that have defenses and she has to defeat the system in order to pass, like a minigame of sorts almost. Then you have situations where upon injecting herself, though this has never happened before, she's accepted and the amount of information that she tries to absorb could overload her and basically send her into a deep sleep recovery mode. If her shell is destroyed while in this recovery mode, then her A.I is locked into the sleep and must be reactivated into something to turn back on.
Personality: This is a very particular "person" for someone of her race and current employer, some might even say it's a wonder how she’s not actually a human. She is one of the nicest beings one could meet, but there is something a bit off about her sometimes, it's not always apparent and some might even say one wouldn't notice it at all, but there is sometimes a sudden change that she does when things become out of her control, or she herself loses control. it's almost like a 0-60 deal and it's scares a lot of people from how funny and quirky she can be to almost cruel like, one would call her unrecognizable when she is like this. That being said she is able to hold in that part of her mind and personality in check...most of the time...and keeps it from becoming who she is outside of small outburst or when she is alone. She can also sport a sprouting of good spirit when the moment arrives and can be almost like that of a normal human being, a way for her to help those around her, yeah she could be the typical android but she's found that people responses to her being that way, prove incredibly positive for her. V.O.I.C.E has a very calming personality much of the time, like that of a mother or a grandmother, because of the experiences that she was preset with from her creators. She built to fix and edit problems in society that would otherwise be impossible to overcome. Maybe this is why in private her true personality is that of someone with a God Complex, which when she is statistically better then most things, hard to say otherwise.
Appearance: DISCLAIMER, HE DOES NOT ACTUALLY HAVE WINGS.
”Do yourself a favour and walk away so I don’t have to waste bullets.”
Equipment:
-Devil’s Left And Right Hand: Two very high-powered revolvers, chambered in .45-calibre rounds, and capable of blowing a sizeable chunk out of a person. They’re more or less hand-cannons. -Lasso. Made of a fine fiber-alloy metal, it’s nigh unbreakable to almost all unmodified, and a fair few modified/enhanced beings. Has a toggleable stun option. -Electrified Combat Blade. Has a toggleable electrocute option, because it’s pointless to stun someone after stabbing or slicing them. -Old-style Cowboy Hat. -A Northless compass.
”I’ll let my Hands decide whether or not you die.”
Attunement/enhancements:
-Armoured Carapace: Nerazi’ra’s entire body is practically a exo-skeleton, and even most of his internals are at least in some way augmented, though nothing like other Arraxi, due to him opting out of unnecessary enhancements. He can take a bullet or two in the same spot, but apart from that, it’s more or less just fairly hard skin. -Optic Eye: A single eye(of his 6) enhanced to be able to zoom in up to 8x the normal sight range of a human. That being said, he’s at his most inaccurate at that range, and does better within 100m of the thing he’s shooting at. -Slightly Enhanced Senses: Hearing is slightly better than normal, as is his smell and taste. Done by tempering his natural skills, rather than with any actual enhancements.
Unique Ability:
-Devil’s Advocate: Able to expend the entire magazine of almost any semi-automatic weapon in just under 2 seconds. He reloads his revolvers faster than most as well, due to his quick hands and because of how well he knows them. -Dead Eye: It’s been rumoured Nerazi’ra has never missed a shot. That isn’t true, he’s missed on the occasion, but usually the bullet that missed is followed by one that’s dead on point. His accuracy does drop, however, after about 75 metres, and doesn't bother shooting after 100m, unless it's either for a really important reason, or if it's a huge fuck off target.
”Duck, girl. This place is going to be a free-fire zone soon.”
Personality:
A strong silent type, Nerazi’ra is more or less inclined towards a ‘good’ alignment, though that includes doing ‘not good’ things to ‘bad’ people. Apostrophes because all of those are perspective based. His perspective is with both money, and with justice. He’d probably be Lawful Neutral, to be honest. Not opposed to doing bad things to good people given the situation, and not opposed to doing good things because they’re good.
An outward hard persona, Nerazi’ra doesn’t open up very often, nor does he warm to others quickly, unless they’ve helped him before and are good people at heart.
Despite being hard-shelled, Nerazi’ra is prone to being overly nice to people in distress, and will usually go out of his way to help them out, which is the reason he was put on Alcatraz in the first place.
”It’s okay, kid, I won’t hurt you. You hungry?”
Bio:
Nerazi’ra’s first half of his life was purely the standard norm. He was educated by his mother, then left the station he was on to just explore the universe. He learnt that not everything was all roses and sunshine. He quickly ended up on a backwards planet that was practically run by outlaws. He was in way over his head, and had gotten mugged several times, so he lacked the money to leave this new hellhole. He almost resigned himself to his fate, and so the next time he was held-up at gunpoint, he decided to fight back. Of course, he did nothing, and was promptly beaten to the ground by the ruffian. He took several hard boots the the mandibles and eyes, before they abruptly stopped. He looked up to see the same ruffian, only with the majority of his head missing. At first appalled, he looked through the ruffian’s legs, who was still standing, not yet even registering his death, and saw a man cloaked in a ragged duster billowing in the wind.
Nerazi’ra’s true life began that day. The man, an old human, admitted to Nerazi’ra that he had noticed him the moment he landed on the planet, and witnessed the first time he was mugged, as well as the second, and even the third, yet didn’t act on it since Nerazi’ra wasn’t willing to take the risk to stand up against to his oppressors. The moment he did, the old man, who’s name he never disclosed, acted as well. He took Nerazi’ra under his wing, and started teaching him the Creed, something the old man made himself. Over a great many years, the old man honed his skill, and taught himself how to fire something that isn’t supposed to be fired rapidly, rapidly. Thus why he chose revolvers as his main companions, which he of named “Left Hand of the Devil” and “Right Hand of the Devil”. He thought that to exact justice on those deserving, the Devil had to make the decision whether or not they deserved death or not.
He taught Nerazi’ra the Creed, which valued justice above all else, including one’s own life. Soon, Nerazi’ra changed to be more like the old man. Cold and unforgiving, but also caring to those that needed it. He quickly adopted the old man’s Creed as his own, and with it, started learning the skill of rapid firing things that shouldn’t be rapid fired, short name “Devil’s Advocate”.
Sadly, several years after meeting the old man, he came to an end on a distant and mostly uninhabited planet, dying peacefully from old age, but not before he handed over his prized revolvers to Nerazi’ra, and making him promise that he would live by the Creed, and maybe even eventually, find an apprentice himself to keep the Creed alive through the ages.
At this point, Nerazi’ra was a master with the revolver, and was also skilled enough to be classified as a crack-shot. Although still not as proficient with the ‘Devil’s Advocate’ skill, he was still a terror to behold. He travelled through the planets, dispensing righteous justice where it was due, and taking up bounties where ever he could find them. He built a decent reputation for himself, and occasionally clashed with a planet’s law enforcement, and as such he was forced to kill the occasional officer.
Then, on perhaps the most fateful day of his life, Nerazi’ra met a very young Sapishte. She was hungry, and of course, Nerazi’ra took her under his wing for a couple days until she was healthy enough for him to take her out and find where she was from. It was after those couple days, that he learnt that she was the personal plaything of the head of one of the local Mafia bosses who escaped from him, and as such, several henchmen were dispatched to find her. They tracked her down eventually, but instead of finding a defenseless little Sapishte, they found Nerazi’ra. He gunned down a dozen men in less than a second, then another one was ‘subjugated’ physically, before being forced to spill his guts about the Mafia Head’s whereabouts. After getting that information, Nerazi’ra executed the man, then took the little girl by the hand and went off towards the location.
It went downhill for the entire Mafia from there. Fueled by rage, Nerazi’ra cut a swathe through the lackeys, straight to the Head of the Mafia, who, in his panic, called the local law enforcement, many of whom he had in his wallet. They didn’t get there in time. Nerazi’ra put a bullet in the Head’s feet, knees, crotch, elbows, hands, shoulders, and left him to bleed to death, which he did. Sadly, though, the entire facility was surrounded by men and women of the law, so Nerazi’ra either had to put the Sapishte girl at risk shooting his way out, which he probably could have done, or to give up and make sure she got a good life somewhere. He chose the latter. He stepped outside with his hands up, and his guns holstered, and made sure the Lawmen gave the Sapishte girl a good home in exchange for him going quietly. They agreed.
When the time came, he was put on trial for almost countless murders of criminals, since that was still regarded as murder, as well as the far fewer amount of murders he committed on lawmen all around the universe. He was sentenced to several hundred life sentences on Alcatraz for his crimes, and that’s just what happened.
Other:
Heavily inspired by Roland Deschain, and more or less the Gunslingers as a whole from the Dark Tower book series.
Hopefully she's not too similar to VOICE, but I think she's fairly different enough~ Do tell if I need to change anything or need to expand on things.
"Logged: Interaction with non-adapted organic. Speak before we tire of your form.
Grrrah...apologies. They forget who's in control here sometimes. Erm, odd question...you got any food on ya? They don't feed us enough and they get cranky when we don't get fed."
Name: Deseri Linvall Alternatively: 'Omega'
Race: Human, if she could still be called that.
Age: 27
Gender: Female/Genderless nanite Swarm
Appearance: You would be forgiven for thinking Deseri is some sort of android from the sheer amount of metal she has showing on her body. Her entire left arm from the elbow down has been replaced with a large, metallic fitting resembling some sort of triangular stake when in its resting state. A series of cables and tubes connect it to her lower back and spine in various places.
The rest of her body is equally mechanical in nature. The 'body suit' she wears is more akin to a protective outer shell that has been secured to her body by a series of locks, screws, and bolts, that would require a bit of work to remove. This is the 'base' of her augments, and her arms and legs function entirely from it. Her arms and legs themselves are made of a synthetic mesh-weave that is more durable and resistant to burning than natural human skin. Artificial muscle fibers are easily seen under the skin, ensuring that she is more than a match for most humans. Various empty access ports can be seen all over her body - for use with linking up with her exo-suit.
Aside from her heavy augments, Deseri stands at a fair five foot seven, and her mechanical eyes glow a luminescent orange. Her 'hair' has a natural color of grey-white. She has an overall slim body build, and if it wasn't for the wires, mechanical augments, and her attitude she probably wouldn't be all too intimidating. She weighs around 192lbs, thanks to all the metal in her system. Staring at her too long might prove creepy, when you realize she doesn't blink and constantly has a wide-eyed gaze.
Equipment: N/A
Attunement/enhancements:
Swarm Multi-Processing: While she was nearly savant-level genius when it came to cybernetics and robotics, with the addition of being able to delegate thoughts and tasks to the 'Swarm' as it were, she is able to seemingly think and process thoughts much faster than a normal human would be able too. Basically, think of it similar to a computer with many, many, processors that are able to run tasks and thoughts simultaneously.
Bionic Reinforcement: Deseri's physical body has almost ceased being organic in most aspects. She is heavily augmented, sporting an almost obscene level of enhancement only seen elsewhere in the Arraxi. Eyes, spine, limbs, muscles, skin...the only part of her that isn't completely augmented in some way is her mind, and even that has some modifications to allow her to process the Swarm. All four of her main limbs have been entirely replaced with metal augments, and the bones in her torso and chest have been reinforced with metal alloys. Overall she would be extremely durable and can withstand quite a bit of punishment before showing some wear or tear. Her 'Organs' Are similarly reinforced, but would still cripple her if they were injured in a major way.
Bio-fuel engine: As per their nature, the Swarm runs on a special Bio-fuel made from consuming organic compounds. In order to facilitate this with Deseri, the swarm has made it so that any food she eats instead of going through the normal digestive process, instead produces this bio-fuel. Effectively, this means she can eat pretty much anything so long as its organic. She has long sense lost her sense of taste, so she can't really complain too much, though she still gets 'hungry' more often than most humans.
Nanophage Bio-Weapon: Omega Class These? These things are nothing more than a plague. An extremely dangerous nano-phage based plague created as an efficient bio-weapon by some Arraxi extremists, using Deseri as a host for them. They are designed for only one thing - consuming and destroying organic matter, and assimilating metals and other inorganic compounds for use. The nanites have no no true intelligence, despite seeming like they are quite often and function via a hive-mind like consciousness, with Deseri as their 'queen'. The Phage's main goal is to parasitize organic creatures and bring them under its 'control'.
Thankfully for her, the hive mind has decided that it is best if its host retains its free-will in order to operate at maximum efficiency, but that doesn't stop it from exerting some control over Deseri. The Hive-mind as one might expect, is extremely logical, always urging Deseri to take the mostly logical route when dealing with things. The only thing overriding this directive, is its desire to consume organic matter and assimilate metals for use in its swarm. The machines run on bio-fuel, broken down from organic substances so it is imperative that it consumes a steady supply of organic material. What kind, it isn't picky - but it is ravenous and passes this along to Deseri at times.
They are extremely vulnerable to EMP's and electrical shocks outside of the host's body, and a well placed EMP grenade or other similar object will likely take out a number of them, at least long enough to create an opening. Failing that, energy weapons work best. Cutting some off from the rest of the swarm, will greatly reduce their intelligence and efficiency, as they work best in large numbers where their hive-mind works best.
Like an insect hive, the swarm can not function well without its 'Queen'. They can exist without ever her controlling them - but the further they stray from the 'Queen' or some other control node or operator of some sort, they basically loose any higher functions they might have. Stray far enough away and they'll just be harmless mosquitoes that just like nibbling on people and unable to use any more of their higher functions. In such a situation, they would likely disperse or enter a hibernation state as self-preservation protocols trumped any sort of other things.
They have about half a mile range from a 'Queen' before they start loosing functionality, which would drop exponentially depending on how many 'Units' are in the individual swarm. (Since Nanites are rather small, lets say a single unit would be a loose mass of them about the size of a basketball, if that makes sense.) I'd say they would need around 20-30 individual 'units' within a half-mile radius to retain their higher functions at a further distance away from the Queen. This would include the Hephaestus-morphing and the ability to 'assimilate' metals and things.
Unique Ability: Hephaestus-class Multi-Tool: Phage Corrupted An experimental tool she developed some years ago, and being infected with the Phage, who quickly adapted its technology and abilities for itself. The weapon was built to be a multipurpose tool for welding, self defense, and well...everything! It was made with expensive nano tech that could shift and re-purpose its form from a command from the holder of it, effectively granting the user access to any tool it might have need of so long as it was within the units memory banks and it had the material to do so. It could shift into melee weapons, cannons, work tools...anything, really. Without getting into too much technoabble, it accomplished this by extremely powerful and small mag-locks, and a neural or some sort of suit uplink. Originally, it was just restricted to the owners lower arm, where they would hold the tool, though Deseri was a special case, in having the tool grafted directly to her lower left arm to compensate for an accident during a ahem *weapons* test.
When the phage took it over, they adapted this tech into their own design using mechanical knowledge taken from Deseri's mind. Thus, this enables her to effectively command the nanites and allow them to mold her own body to an extent, now that it's mostly been completely replaced with metal. Razor sharp blades capable of slicing, guns, and any logical weapon in the swarms memory banks. It should be noted the swarm is incapable of learning new things on its own. It has to rely on its 'queen' for that, or by consuming and breaking down already existing things.
Her favorite use of this is the old energy cannon she frequently used back before all this happened. It's able to fire blasts of orange, white-hot energy of varying degrees.
Omega Swarm: Deseri has nigh complete control over the swarm, though at times it seems to resist her influence if it finds what her human mind is doing illogical. Still, the hive-mind more or less follows the lead of its queen as long as its able to achieve its directive of 'consuming' and 'assimilating'. Her body has been designed by the swarm to passively generate these, though they're not a great number or amount of them, especially with the non-aggression field. She would need some time to have the swarm make more.
Still, she can control them outside of her body and have them do a variety of tasks. With them having picked up the design from the Hephaestus prototype, she can effectively turn them into a variety of different things on the fly. Attack drones, repair drones, and things of similar nature until they are destroyed or she commands them to do something else. Or she can keep them as the swarm they are, and have them attempt assimilating or consuming something.
The Swarm is a very logical being. It might only have semi-sentience, but it does understand that its 'queen' is more 'intelligent' than it. So more likely than not, unless she does something directly against their main programming protocols they will listen to her 99% of the time. For the most part, unless they need fuel they are fairly docile, so long as they have enough fuel to function then they shouldn't be too bad of a problem unless the swarm is allowed to grow unchecked. The larger it is, the amount of bio-fuel it would need.
The way they work is fairly simple: The queen suggests something - the swarm okays it or doesn't. They propose something else, which the rest of the swarm Okays and then the queen rejects. Process repeats until either the Swarm gets cranky or they reach a shared conclusion. In case of Swarm getting cranky, Deseri can exert some control over them as a sort of their leader, and in the case of division where some repeatedly agree and some don't the ones who side with the Queen will then proceed to cannibalize the ones who don't.
Personality: On first appearance 'Deseri' is a fairly amicable and overall lackadaisical person with a habit of making sarcastic comments. She enjoys working on machines, likes fiddling with robots and other such things. She spends most of her free time fiddling with her own body or communicating with her swarm. Oddly enough, she's rather happy with her position. A little too happy to figure out what they can do at their full potential.
She takes a fairly friendly, if sometimes overly friendly or familiar one towards other people and for the most part aside from speaking in plurals such as 'we' 'they' and 'the swarm', astoundingly normal upon first glance. At least, until the swarm starts getting hungry. And as ravenous as it is, that is more often than not.
She can and will, tell the swarm to devour people whole to satisfy their fuel. For the most part, she can placate the small number of the swarm with simple human food, as her body doesn't digest things normally any more, instead turning anything eaten into organic bio-fuel to fuel her various mechanical parts and the swarm itself. When the swarm 'Assumes' control so to speak either through perceived self-preservation or through appetite, she becomes a merciless thing. Cold, cruel, logical, and will eliminate whatever the threat is or consume until they've had its fill.
And it is never satisfied. Thankfully at least, their appetite only increases with the number of them...so long as she keeps their numbers under control, it shouldn't be much an issue.
Bio: Born to a military family on earth, Deseri has a fairly normal life growing up. Both of her parents were military, her dad a Marine soldier and her mom was an engineer that took care of the military's toys and helped in the R&D department. Needless to say, Deseri decided to try following in their steps. She took to her dad's somewhat strict training regime eagerly, as well as academics at school and made a point to excel in both. It quickly became apparent that she had a particular talent for robotics and mechanical engineering, just as her mother did.
She breezed through school, and when she was 18 she joined up with the military and quickly became distinguished as one of the brightest and youngest they had in the academy. When in boot camp she spent her free time modifying weapons, designing new things, and generally tinkering with military hardware, much to the chagrin of her superiors, but for the most part she wasn't reprimanded for it as she mostly put everything back the way it was.
Most of boot camp went by quickly, and she graduated with flying colors, which is when her career finally started taking off. With things as peaceful as they were in the universe though, she didn't get to see much in the way of real action. Most of her time was spent tinkering with military hardware, fixing and repairing things and making things stayed in top shape. Occasionally, they had to deal with some rebels, terrorists, or extremists but for the most part most of her days were spent without incident.
When she turned 20 though, she was noticed by the military's R&D department, the same division as her mom worked in. She had pulled a few strings to let Deseri into the department, which she quickly distinguished herself practically as a savant in the bio-engineering, mechanical, and cybernetic fields. Particularly so when she lost her lower left arm in an accident involving a laser-cutter, a high powered telescope, and some strong ahesive. (Don't ask). Instead of making do with a simple prosthetic, she made her own. A state of the art thing she called the 'Hephaestus Tool', which she continued to refine and improve upon through the years.
Peace doesn't always last though, and a few years passed when they got word of some Arraxi terrorists planing a bio-attack on some important diplomats, based in a small city on earth. So of course, the military was bough in and so was some of the R&D department to see what exactly they were dealing with.
Well, it went horribly wrong.
Turns out it had been a trap by someone she's still unsure about. Not that it matters now - anyone in the complex that wasn't part of her unit had been consumed. Her and her unit were ambushed, drugged, and were planned to be as used the bio weapons themselves using an experimental nanite-based bio weapon. Deseri was the first and only subject. The people had...overestimated the swarms obedience and the ability to be contained.
As soon as they put the things in her, they immediately started turning her into her now mostly machine state integrating her nerves, limbs, and other biological functions into their system. For a time, Deseri and the swarm were docile, while they further augmented her. Cut off her other limbs, replacing them with artificial ones, and giving the swarm the material it needed to work on any other delicate internal changes to her body.
At least, until the swarm deemed that the scientists should die.
Assuming control of Deseri, the swarm completely annihilated the extremists, devouring them within seconds. Soon, the phage spread to the outside and started devouring the civilians as well. Deseri managed to at least, get the other soldiers that were with her out but the aftermath was...not pretty. After managing to return to the base she and the team were held for questioning, and the Arraxi government were understandably wanting answers and justice. Deseri herself was kept confined in solitary in a facility where bio-hazardous materials were kept. After weeks and months of political back and forth, talks, bogus trials, false accusations, and politicians wanting to sweep this under the rug, they reached a verdict.
The Arraxi were not happy. The Queens saw her nothing more as a weapon now - nothing more than a hunk of metal and would have treated her as such. However, after outcries from Deseri's old squad mates who she saved during the incident, her dad and mom pulling some strings they managed to avoid a death sentence for being a 'bio-hazard' - though what she got wasn't much better. A specially designed cell aboard the Alcatraz.
Air-tight, small, with specially designed emitters in the room that produce a low-level electrical field that disrupts the swarms higher thought processes. The door to the cell is a heavy duty double security door that can forcibly close and trap whatever is locked in there in. She is to be kept with minimal contact with other people and for the most part remain in solitary.
Appearance: Amanda is a rather imposing individual, standing at 6'2 and weighing around 350lbs out of her armour and stands 7'5 when inside her armour. She has short silver hair that she keeps clean and sort of tidy. Her eyes almost match her hair being closer to grey or a darker shade of silver. She also boasts an impressive Physique that is maintained through exercise and wearing her massive suit of armour.
Her suit has a fairly simple colour scheme going for Black and Red. It is bulky and easily conceals the gender of the wearer with it's sheer size alone. It has many dim lights scattered across it with only a few that actually serve a purpose, these being the two large lights on the sides of the helmet that serve as red torches.
Equipment: Arbiter S7 battle suit- The Arbiter powered battle suit is basically intended to make the wearer a tank. Its armor is strong enough to withstand small arms fire. The suit also carries a small oxygen supply that can be used to survive in space or under water for around 5 minutes. The gauntlets have air hardening kinetic shield emitters that are capable of taking a few (2-3) high caliber rounds before shattering and needing to recharge.
Excalibur heavy assault rifle- This massive assault rifle fires 6mm bullets with a clip of size of 30 rounds at 600 rounds per minute at an effective range of 350 meters anything past that is pretty much safe. It only has basic ammo but it makes up for that with a giant bayonet, it's basically a entire sword stuck on a gun. (Ten clips kept on person)
Ragnarok .50 cal revolver- The Ragnarok .50 cal revolver is very simple. It is a .50 cal revolver that can fire two rounds before needing to be reloaded. It's effective range is only 60 meters and the max range of 300 meters. (Twenty rounds kept on person)
Deliverance multi role shotgun- The Deliverance is 12 gauge shotgun designed to make it hard for any target that decides to get into close range. All of its shots have a effective range of 45 meters. Amanda carries 4 kinds of ammunition for it. Those ammo types being; Electro buck shot, buck shot, Dragons breath (fire slug) and high explosive slug. It only houses 1 shot at a time. (12 shock rounds 24 buck shot, 6 Dragons breath and 12 high explosive carried on her person.)
Attunement/enhancements: Amanda's entire body has undergone enhancements so that her body can withstand the weight of her armor suit, her bones have been reinforced and her strength augmented with cybernetics. So she can cope with its 1000lb weight. The armor itself also helps with weight management. She is more twice as strong as a regular person of her size being able to life around 600lbs. Other then her strength nothing else is altered. While in her armour she can lift around 1500lbs.
Unique Ability:
Cook- Amanda learnt how to cook from her parents during her early life, she was never super crazy about it. But the skills are still there.
Personality: Amanda is a straight to business kind of person, not caring for formalities or pleasantries. She's in it to get jobs done, not waste time with meaningless words to people she'll probably never have to worry about again. She trusts nobody, mostly because of the fact she's not spent any substantial period of time with anyone. Earning her trust would take a few instances of you either saving her life or putting your life on the line to protect others. Though earning her trust would be harder if you were an alien, she is moderately xenophobic not to the point where she would spurt out curses and open fire the second she sees you, but enough for it to be clear that she isn't a fan of non humans. She's fine with robots and androids kinda feeling like a half robot herself. And she has a few things she never likes discussing, those things being her past, lovey kissy crap, cybernetics and Xenos. She would be able to put aside her xenophobia given enough positive interactions with a particular alien, but only that individual would be exempt. And given time possibly even friends. Unknown to most she is actually masochistic to an extent, this developed over her many torture sessions as a means to cope with the pain.
Bio: Amanda's parents Catherine Krisk and Anthony Davis made her early life easy. She received plenty of love, gifts and wisdom from them. The family was very involved in supporting the military, praising the soldiers as heroes with boundless courage. This mentality quickly set itself into Amanda's mind and by the young age of 6 she'd already decided she wanted to join the army and be among the heroes that serve the people an make sure everyone is safe. Her favourite classes were Phis ed and history, Phis ed because she got to work on becoming strong and history because she got to learn about the heroes of the past and how they stopped tragedies. But by far her favourite thing was visiting the ice cream store after school. Amanda was born into a reasonably nice town, good neighbours, nice shopping centre and one of the best ice cream joints in the whole system. Unbeknown to most there were rather unsavoury activities that took place in their little town of Ba'Zesh.
On Amanda's daily visits Scoop the ice cream man always greeted the young girl with a smile and a vanilla strawberry swirl. She would smile back at him then hand over the 2 dollars for the ice cream never forgetting to say thank you as she toddled out of the store. Their exchanges were brief but Amanda felt like she really knew the man. She was of coarse only 8 at this point. The rest of her primary years shot by in a flash of exercise, historical battles and ice cream. During this time she got into trouble a notable amount of times for hitting other students, but the kids she hit were exclusively bullies.
This habit didn't die out when she got into high school either, in fact it got worse as her above average stature became more and more evident. Her parents tried to get her to cease the beating of the bullies but Amanda argued that she was being a hero, to that her mother responded "There is more to being a hero than beating up people, soldiers only go out to war because it's the last resort." Amanda hissed, she knew this. But still there was a big difference between war and school yard bullies. She pulled her act together after that, she even went as far as to not fight back one time as a rather small boy insulted her. She hated it, every second she wasn't hitting the bullies was agonising for her. The only reason she was able to make it through high school was because of her friends.
Amanda was now in her final year of school and she was already standing at her full 6'2 height and rocking an impressive physique, this got her some attention from the boys. She rejected all attempts at partnership, she didn't want to be in a relation ship, she currently had no time for it besides she'd have to leave them for the army after she graduated, so she saw mo point. This final year of school was actually rather easy for her she was already top of her sports class and she got good scores in history, and no subject was giving her grief. Then graduation seemed to fly around. Amanda was shocked that she'd actually managed to get through this last year without one "incident" she was actually proud of herself. To celebrate their success Amanda decided the best thing to do would be to take her friends to the ice cream shop she'd visited since she was a kid.
Scoop greeted her differently than he usually did, this time he had a set of ten ice creams ready. He'd guessed that Amanda would have brought her friends here tough he didn't know how many, it was just after graduation and he would have been insulted if Amanda didn't show up with her friends after a big event like that. Amanda smiled and laughed a little "Scoop you didn't need to do this, besides. What if Stacy and Henry aren't keen on vanilla strawberry swirl?" Scoop chuckled "But everyone loves vanilla strawberry swirl!" he responded with a smile. Amanda looked back at her friends who nodded in agreement "He's not wrong" Henry said with a slight smirk, Amanda's smile only grew larger as she fished around inside her pocket for some coins. "Oh you won't be needing that Amanda" Said Scoop with a jolly tone, Amanda tilted her head then Scoop put the tray forward "These one's are on the house. It's not every day you graduate now is it?" Amanda couldn't argue with that logic.
So there she sat with her two best friends having their vanilla strawberry swirls, then three men wearing masks swung the door open and walked into the ice cream shop making sure to flip the open sign to closed. They didn't seem to be armed so Amanda got up out of her chair and readied herself for a fight, only then did she realise how dizzy she was. Looking back at her friends who were still sitting down she noticed the weren't moving, the looked paralysed by fear. But before she looked back at the three men she was already on the ground, one of the men looming over her, he chuckled. "Oh you're going to fetch a high price, I could name a few people who want a strong girl such as yourself." The mans chuckles were the only thing she could hear as she blacked out.
Amanda woke in a cold metal cell with no windows or bars, she looked around trying to figure out what was going on. But there was nothing to see, only the walls, roof and floor. She'd already begun to shake she had no idea where she was how long she'd been asleep or who had kidnapped her, the only other semblance of life she could find in the room was the dried blood lining the corners of the room, no doubt from other captives who tried to claw their way out or something. The place was gruesome, like something from a horror movie, Amanda had no idea how long she'd be able to withstand being in such an environment. But her thoughts were cut short when a speaker crackled to life "So you're finally awake, Scoop must have put too much narcotics in your ice cream. Ah well, you're awake now and that's what matters. Now I'm sorry to inform you but you are now property, and you have actually already been sold. Normally I would tell you the buyers name but they wanted to remain ambiguous, said that they usually do things to make their purchases hate them, even more then they normally would." Amanda gritted her teeth and went to start yelling but the room was already being pumped full of gas. She again drifted off into a forced sleep. She could hear the voice apologising for knocking her out again.
Yet again she woke up in an unknown location but this time she knew why shew as there, and she wasn't happy about being sold but she didn't know what kind of person had bought her. Though from that little bit of info the man behind the speaker dropped on her, her hopes for a "nice" person buying her were non existent. She knew she had to play her cards right, she was enraged that she'd been taken from her family and auctioned off, but she knew that whoever was running this operation knew what they were doing and that escaping was impossible. She was going to have to play the cards she was dealt. The room she was trapped in this time was much cleaner, but that didn't ease Amanda's conscience. She decided to speak "What do you want with me!? You obviously don't intend from me to be a slave!" A door slid open and a rather frightening looking Arraxi walked through the door. its limbs were elongated with metal implants, on the ends of its disturbingly long arms were savage looking barbed talons. It's main body was far bulkier than the arms it's shell being mixed with steel giving it reflective patches, the worst part of all was it's disgusting maw, that hundreds of needles filling it's facial cavity. The sight of this monster made her shiver slightly.
"You couldn't be more wrong. You now belong to Gantu, and you are going to be one of his many mercenaries." The Arraxi's voice made Amanda's skin crawl but she hid her discomfort with a cold glare, "What happens if I say no?" She asked, there was no aggression in her voice she wanted to know if they might try targeting her family or something like that. The Arraxi paused for a moment, as if waiting for permission to talk, the silence was awkward, the ghoulish insect standing there motionlessly. "Your family will be extinguished if you do not comply." Amanda wished her hunch had been wrong but alas it wasn't she wasn't going to resist and threaten her families safety. Suddenly the Arraxi's arm extended forwards and wrapped itself around Amanda's throat and it carried her out of her cell. She tried fighting against the monsters grip for a short time but very quickly noticed how futile her attempts were.
Eventually the Arraxi threw her into a room full of hideous looking tools and many operation tables, she didn't like where this was going. "Your current capabilities are not enough to satisfy Gantu's needs, so after you are trained in combat you will be enhanced. Any attempt to resist will result in the death of your kin. So please do not resist." Amanda was mortified, the situation seemed to only be getting worse and there was nothing she could do to stop it, the only thing she could do was surrender. So that is what Amanda did. She couldn't believe that her life could be changed so much in such a small period of time. As she sat their in ruin the Arraxi again picked her up by the neck and walked her into some kind of "accommodation". This is where her life as Amanda Krisk ended, and her life as the murder puppet of Gantu began.
Over the next year Amanda was forced to train endlessly to become proficient with firearms, knifes and hand to hand combat. She didn't excel in anything but she did manage to get a high level of skill. Aside from her combat training she also received many torture sessions to deaden her nerves and make her more resistant to pain. She functioned less well in the torture tests much to the disappointment of Gantu. Then when she hit the age of 20 Gantu contacted her directly for the very first time. He only told her that it was time for her to receive her enhancements, she didn't want to obviously but she had no choice. Only after she'd been strapped down to the operating table did she notice that she wasn't going to get any painkillers or narcotics. She was going to go through this operation able to feel everything. She was muzzled so her screaming wouldn't annoy the surgeons, she was only conscious for about 30 minutes of the operation but that was enough for her to be able to see them implant metal enhancements into her arms, she passed out shortly after they started working on her legs.
Then after the operation was done, she was presented with her suit of armour. And then forced to go though another year of the same training she had done before the operation. This time in the armour, almost everything improved besides her initial sprinting speeds. Now she was 22 and Gantu saw it fit to send her out into the galaxy to go and make him some money, Amanda preferred to take on hit missions. But she has done a little of everything. Theft, sabotage, pest control even a small amount of espionage. But after four years of missions she got caught, this was partly due to her underestimating local law enforcement and wanting to be captured anyway. She was done working for Gantu, and perhaps now that she was imprisoned on the Alkatraz she'd finally escaped him.
Pari’s right arm is shaped slightly strange – as if it had been broken and improperly set.
Equipment: Her staff is custom made – it’s a nigh unbreakable titanium composite. The blade on top, sharp on its own, is enhanced by energy around the blade, allowing it to stab through most things with enough force. Out the same end is also a laser rifle: it experiences no knockback, so it doesn’t really need to be gun shaped; the laser projectiles are capable of about the same damage as a mid-calibre bullet. Out the rear, a short ranged TASER. Powered by high efficiency lithium-ion batteries, and can recharge with small solar panels.
She has light body armor over her torso, and exoskeleton leg gear that help her endurance and allow her to make precise movements very quickly. The leg gear also makes her kicks hurt even more. She’s also at least 3 knives hidden on her person.
Attunement/enhancements: Water
Unique Ability: Plant drain: Pari is able to draw water from plant life – not from any animals, however. Pari has mastered incorporating her staff into her fighting, and is a very good kickboxer. She is also an amazing watercolorist, and knows 6 languages: the dominant Tulak trade language, English, Arabic, Russian, Farsi, and some Sapishte. She is a decently capable engineer of ships and weapons, and can drive a spaceship quite skillfully.
Personality: Chaotic neutral//ENFP//bad with words//perceptive//curious//unhappy One might make the mistake of underestimating Pari. That only happens once: even when in control of her emotions, Pari is lethal; just far more calculated. That being said, if you respect her, expect a steadfast ally, as long as she can control herself. She comes off as an easygoing flirt when she’s in control of her mental state – unfortunately, Pari is often under the affects of her extreme bipolar disorder, shifting between bouts of mania and depression, both of which tend to result in her murdering someone. She does know some of her triggers, but most are a mystery to her, and often the slightest thing can set her off. The anti-aggression field is the best thing to ever happen to her: multiple months of level-headedness curtsey of the mood regulation system. This had allowed her to finally focus on writing a diary, and begin to understand the impacts of her actions. And work on her art.
Bio: Pari Arwa grew up in an incredibly abusive household of an Earth Ambassador to the Tulak, on Vai’Ralu. Her father was mostly absent due to work, and her mother was therefore able to hide her physical abuse of their child for a very long time, until Pari ran away at the age of 12. She was, in the short term, adopted by two elderly Tulak farmers, whose farm she ended up on, but she eventually became convinced that they were going to return her to her family (they were not), and ran off from there. Stowing herself away on a ship leaving Vai’Ralu, she made her way to the human homeworld of Earth. Landing in St. Petersburg, Pari realized she was completely out of her league, a 14 year old with no job and no trust in the government to protect her. Living on the streets, she was quickly picked up by some mobsters working out of a brothel, who thought that there might be a market for 14-year-olds. There certainly was, but after Pari killed her first “client” with a spear made of ice, they elected to instead train her abilities, seeing her as a potentially useful tool in that regard (they almost killed her outright instead). As one might imagine, becoming the personal assassin of a group of mobsters at the age of 14 was not the best for an already unstable girl, but it did teach her that power was made in blood, and that she liked polearms. Eventually, her dislike of working for a master overcame her fear of them, and she was able to catch them by surprise when she was 18. Liquid water can pierce straight through a person with enough force behind it, and that caused a LOT of blood for the police men to try and sift through. Before she was caught, Pari managed to stowaway again, ending up on a trade outpost on the outskirts of the human empire. Pari met a few bounty hunters while she was there, and managed to convince one to take her under his wing. He was the first one to truly understand her bipolar disorder, and helped her start to manage it; he also taught her how to build her own weapons, and it was under his tutelage that she built her spear. Eventually, though, they parted ways when she was 21. Pari refuses to say what caused this, and it is not a good idea to press her on it. What is evident, however, is that she became more and more unhinged, murdering anyone that she perceived as a bad person, regardless of contracts. The government soon caught up with her, and connected her with her murders back on earth. Fortunately for them she was on such a low point that she offered no fight when they burst into her hovel on that trade planet.
