Weapons: Verro has a myriad of weapons on him while on duty, having taken a page or two from the famous Mandalorian warriors, just by glancing at his weapons one could easily think he were one. He himself holds more than one customized weapon system, sinking a lot of credits into their modifications. He doesn't regret the cost though, on more than one occasion he strongly believes that his custom equipment has saved his skin.
He carries one, heavily modified
DXR-6 Heavy Carbine. The modifications include shortening the barrel of the carbine, reducing its accuracy slightly, but making it easily to maneuver with, changing the aesthetic of the weapon to fit his preferences, cutting the stock and replacing it with a lightweight extendable stock, and cutting the macrobinocular scope out. Replacing the scope is a simple carrying handle with flip up iron sights. The handle is lined with railing, so Verro can reattach the scope for longer range shooting. All of the modifications considered, the weapon is only a DXR-6 internally. Externally the weapon is much lighter, much more compact, and more suited towards closer quarters combat than a standard unmodified DXR-6.
Verro carries two sidearms, following the teachings of his godfather. A gift from his godfather, his first blaster, is an old but well maintained
DC-15s Sidearm Blaster, issued to Clone Commandos. Verro asked his godfather where he got such an uncommon weapon, but he simply winked and then changed the subject. The side arm has a small magazine, fairly low strength and little penetrating power, but it got the job done, had a recharging power cell and weapon is fairly small. Verro uses its smaller size to his advantage, hiding the weapon and its holster on his lower back just below his backpack. Although there are smaller blaster pistols, holdout blasters in particular, he prefers this weapon.
His second blaster pistol is not as inconspicuous. His
DT-29 Heavy Blaster Pistol is an incredibly powerful sidearm, with power and armor penetration not expected from a blaster pistol. Though it only holds six bolts per energy pack, one well placed shot will take down any heavy infantryman, or even damage an armored vehicle when shot at in the right places. Verro has only just recently acquired this weapon, and is constantly fiddling with it to get used to the weapon. This is his primary side arm now, with his DC-15s being his back up.
Verro has heard many stories about the peerless Mandalorian warriors throughout history, about the Grand Army of the Republic's special forces clones, ARC troopers and Clone Commandos, and he looks up to them as unparalleled soldiers. In imitation of these great warriors, he has adopted the style of wrist mounted weaponry.
On his left gauntlet he has a portable energy shield, based on the designs of the
Death Watch Portable Shield that the Nite Owls used. The original design of the shield was circular and fairly small. Verro's shield however is tower shaped, in an oval, large enough to cover his torso and extend down to the middle of his thigh if he were standing straight.
His right gauntlet houses two weapons, the
MM9 Rocket System, and the
Dur-24 Wrist Laser. He very rarely uses these wrist mounted weapons, as the habit of firing wrist rockets can get very expensive, very quickly. And the Dur-24 Wrist Laser, despite it being as powerful as a blaster rifle, is difficult to aim at range and can't fire in rapid succession. Both of his knuckle plates houses a hidden vibroblade, based on the designs of the Clone Commandos Katarn gauntlet vibroblade. Verro has another vibroknife strapped to his right boot, though he has never actually killed anyone with the knife, he does use it often to open boxes, tins of food, or threaten someone when he needs emphasis.
Armor and Equipment: Verro has a particular suit of armor that most would call excessive.
His 'armor' is a mix of clothing, plating, and armorweave. There's layers to it, and looking at Verro wearing all of it, it's difficult to discern where the it all starts and ends. Firstly he wears simple cloth shorts, socks, and a shirt. Layered on top is his plate armor. He has a breastplate, upper leg plates, pauldrons and upper arm plates. The armor is composite, plastoid layered on top of durasteel. Lastly he wears an armorweave jacket, gorget and pants over the armor, concealing it from sight. He reasons that without visible hard armor plating most enemies would shoot at his center mass, where he is actually most protected, instead of aiming at the weakpoints between his armor plating.
His helmet and gauntlets are made of durasteel, although they've been layered with plastoid, effectively matching the same composite armor style as the rest of his plate armor. His boots are simple hiking boots, comfortable, and unarmored. His goggles are black tinted and contains a very basic heads up display, time, compass, and a lowlight vision mode. Often placed in a pouch on his belt is an
armored mask with a built in rebreather, he uses this when there's toxic or poisonous gas in the atmosphere, or smoke. The helmet has a basic heads up display that for the most part matches his goggles, it displays time, a compass, and features a lowlight and an additional thermal vision mode.
Verro wears a belt, tactical vest and backpack, all carrying his various pieces of equipment. His belt carries various things, a multitool, several pouches of energy packs for his side arm, four grenade pouches holding two thermal detonators and two stun grenades, and a medpack. He has two pouches containing his wrist rockets, six anti armor and six anti personnel mini rockets. His vest has pouches for even more energy packs, mostly for his blaster carbine, and his backpack has a communications device wired to his helmet, as well as an additional medpack, rations, and space for other items.
