TAMRIEL IN TURMOIL


"In the year 249 of the Third Era, a pretender to the ancient throne of the Camorans appeared, and with mundane and Daedric allies, stormed across Valenwood, destroying all who stood against him. The Bosmer were slow to unite against the threat, many too terrified to stand against the Camoran Usurper and some delighted that they were being freed, however violently, from the perceived yoke of the Empire. This minority grew as the Usurper's power did, and once he had consolidated his power in Valenwood, he turned his attentions northward. It took nearly two decades of tyranny before Valenwood found the strength to shrug off Haymon Camoran's rule."

Welcome to Tamriel in Turmoil! This roleplay focuses on the universe of The Elder Scrolls game series, your characters are free to travel to any region but they must do a bunch of things which we will get on soon. The roleplay will located in Hammerfell. The players were caught by mercenaries of The Camoran Usurper and meet a wood elf who helps and rescues them.



Skills

Skills have different effects, it may be boosted when you are a certain race
  • Melee- Ability to wield melee weapons.
  • Block- Ability to properly block an attack.
  • Archery- Ability to shoot a bow.
  • Alchemy- Can be used for potions and poisons, profit can be also be made by selling
  • Speechcraft- Ability to barter,taggle,intimidate and persuade people
  • Destruction- Cast Deadly Spells
  • Restoration- Ability to heal wounds or injuries
  • Conjuration- Ability to summon daedra from Oblivion. You may bring back the dead but... Redguards won't like that.
  • Alteration- Ability to alter things, such as making an armor from an aura
  • Heavy Armor- Ability to use heavy armor
  • Light Armor- Ability to use light armor
  • Forging- Ability to forge weapons
  • Enchanting- Ability to implant magic into different weapons
  • Lockpick- Unlock things with lockpick tools
  • Pickpocket- "Fish" some valuables off pockets

5 points is the max. skill cap



Alright so the when choosing a race you get boosted skills every skill start in one point, if it is one point you do not need to place it at the skills part of the CS
You have 3 points that you can invest, skills will go up without being invested in if it matches your race.


Dark Elves gets +1 to destruction and +1 to light armor +1 alchemy +1 sneak (+5 looking like a theif)
High Elf gets +1 to restoration +1 to destruction +1 to illusion +1 Enchanting (And +10 being bullied by Everyone)
Argonian gets +1 lockpicking +sneak +1 light armor (And being called lizzard by guards)
Bretib- gets +1 conjuration +speech +1 restoration
Wood Elf= gets +1 archery +1 sneak +1 pickpocket +light armor
Imperial- gets +melee +1 restoration +1 destruction
Khajiit- get 1+sneak 1:pickpocket 1lockpick +1 melee (And not being trusted due to skooma)
Nord- gets +1 melee +1heavy armor +1 speech
Redguard- gets +1 melee +1 block +1 archery
Orsimer- +1heavy armor +1 melee +1 one smithing


The Dice rolls will be in the first page of IC

Currently thinking of playing a necromancer but you've worded conjuration as though it only includes Daedra summoning, does this mean necromancy isn't allowed or will it just be treated the same (but require a corpse for the magic to work of course) ?

Here is a character sheet. I hope it is not too much trouble that I picked a bosmer to play. If it is trouble, do not feel bad. I can easily make a Breton or imperial.

@SantosGabriel77 Ummm.... It's a bit odd that you've listed swordsmanship as the only melee option, and racial bonuses only give bonus to one-handed

I think you should go ahead and build a necromancer character. Easier to ask for forgiveness than permission. After all what is the necromancer's master plan? Step 1: Get an army of zombies. Step 2: Do whatever you want because you have an army of zombies.

Also, you got guts going necromancer. We are starting the rp in Hammerfell. The Ra Gada (Redguard) really do not like people messing with their honored dead.

@MarsAdept I enjoy making eviler characters, kinda felt weird in Skyrim with everyone being pretty okay with necromancy. Just not sure if i'm okay to have like, a permanent undead companion or just summoning waves of temporary undead, if I can have a permenant companion I can just deck him out in armour and dismiss him as being quiet. Seriously you can resurrect someone's husband/child/family member as a zombie and they're perfectly fine with it

Also, now to do a ton of binge reading on Hammerfell lore Or as much as I need and what an argoian born in Cyrodiil would know becaue muh immersion

That sounds pretty awesome, I wonder if a long term undead like that would start to develop their own personality traits?

@The Fated Fallen I mean, pretty sure the lore behind necromancy is the soul is trapped inside the body of the corpse and bound to the necromancer's will, nothing saying they couldnt develop a personality and your minions in Skyrim (who are usually freshly raised) can mutter and say stuff occasionally. TES lore is a little rusty in some areas so there could be another explanation (I don't think the Soul Cairne is linked to raising corpses?)

Edit: If anyone wants to talk character creation in PM's just drop me a message, working with a argonian from Cyrodiil and I need to explain how he gets to Hammerfell (the why is currently he spent some time working with the Worm Cult in Scourge Barrow before deciding he was getting treated more like a servant and snuck off in the dead of night before getting captured a week or so later, I believe the Worm Cult was still slightly active at that point as the wiki states they were active in the Third Era but became fully active in the late third. Unless someone has a specific date for the Worm Cult activity beginning I'm gonna go with that).

@SantosGabriel77 I don't know if you've been in on the plotting and scheming but me and @Pyromaniacwolf have been considering backstory

What we were thinking is that my character was smuggling their character and black soul gems, and that's why they were caught. Maybe, I don't know

Is my post alright? If there's anything you guys should know about me it's that I pretty much only post at midnight so my posts are almost 90% garble transmission. This combined with my lack of knowledge on... Anything to do with anything *can* be an issue

And also...

@Pyromaniacwolf If my whole "Prisoners have just been bought in." thing is fine do you want to be lead in behind Dro'isi? Or if you wanted to be here prior I guess they could have rushed you here on suspicion of you being a necromancer and you arrived the night before. Who knows?
