Here's how I picture it: Your first class can be physical, magical, or support. At level 10 you get a second class that can be physical, magical, or support. Then again at the next milestone (maybe 30), and again at the next (say 60). You get skills and abilities based on what classes you hold, so if your first class is a warrior and your second is a mage, you can start getting sword-mage skills. Your third choice would guide you more in one direction than the other, and so on.

(There are any number of different warrior classes and mage classes, but a general rule of thumb is you can't have both in a single class branch)

All that said, I'm not the GM. I'm just offering my thoughts and ideas.

Basically, I'll give an example. Each class should have their strengths and weaknesses, a warrior should have heavy armor, because a mage wouldn't be strong enough, and a ranger couldn't be quick with it.

the job change at 10 is not necessarily required, nor is it a game changer.

Say you started as a ninja,

Class: Ninja
Passive: Assassins touch - High critical chance
Passive: Acrobat - Lighter body able to climb and jump quicker

Skill: Shuriken strike - Spray shurikens dealing medium damage, High chance of crit based on Assassins touch level.
Skill: Twin fold blades - Quickly strike 3 times dealing massive damage

At level 10, the option for this class would be to continue in the Ninja field - Become a Ninja Master (so on and so forth, learning stronger Ninja based skills.)

So that would be a 'pure ninja'

Now say that you do not want to focus on Ninja related skills, Keeping the ones that you have learned, you would move on to a more primary class.

So if the ninja decided to become a master wizard, they would be Ninja > Master Wizard. You would still be able to keep all of the skills you had when you were a Ninja, as well as learn basic ninja skills in the future (say a few more passive.) But your Primary will have changed. At the next milestone (probably 30) You will be able to do the same.

remember, if you decide to stay pure to whatever class you start as - the skills will be powerful. Although combinations of classes, Say if somebody were to start out as a Cleric (healing/buffing class) and decided to change primary jobs to a warrior or trojan(dual wielding weapon class) In a battle they would have an upper hand at healing themselves and giving themselves buffs. The promotion at 10, and 30 are intended so that people can go out on their own and solo dungeons and quests if they chose to. Bring more to the team if they are on a team.

I hope this cleared things up.

I understand how dual classing works I've played D&D as well as games running off the same system. I just instead changed it and fused them to create a less stereotypical class. Low health, low armor but makes up in agility and passive magical abilities like a battle mage except less mage more battle? I can't do that? Should I just completely revamp then?

Yeah, go. Sorry, as soon as the server went up it would be all over the news and Television.

Also! before everybody starts trying to kill other players or NPC's in town, keep in mind that there are level 300 NPC guards positioned up all around every city to kill misbehavior.

Oh, if you die - you will become a ghost until you decide to respawn at the nearest city. (You don't have to walk back to the city, you can just "revive" yourself.) If you die, you will lose a portion of what is in your inventory. Lets just make it simple and say you lose a quarter of the gold that is in your inventory. There are banks located around every town that will assist you in keeping your gold safe. (You can access your gold from any bank, no matter where you stored it.)

Player killing can be dangerous - Killing a player can put bounties on your head, giving rewards to anybody who kills you. The more you kill, the higher the bounty - the more people will want to kill you. Example: Kill 3 people - 3x the bounty price, You also start losing equipment the higher the bounty is.
(High bounties do not disappear until the multiplier hits 0.)

Next Time on Dragon Quest Z!

Mercury tries to kill Shenron by beating it over the head with a sheathed sword! Why is his sword sheathed? How did he find the dragon balls so quickly? Just how badly will he die?

Find out on the next dramatic episode of... Dragon Quest Z!

No, no level penalty, just a quarter of the gold you have on hand, I went into detail with PvP and bounties a little earlier. Death is pretty simple as well.

-Update-

Main quest has been updated in first post

I'd imagine I'll have to pay a fine for damages if I want to be accepted there again. My plan is just to avoid guards until I can get to Twin City.

"I no speak English."
Is this not a worldwide release with automatic translations? Or even funnier, suppose it is?
