What is the status on fae characters? I’m considering making one.

Fae character would have to be Seelie, or Yggdrasil's Court. Essentially what will later be known as Summer/Spring. You'd be one of the 'Hands' of that Court's leader. Something of a general or steward. In the case of Yin (played by BlackPanther), he's a general but a bit more intrigue. Foxes.

Though for a good example, if you read to the point of entry where Lucien a unicorn Fae comes in. He's currently taking the place of one such 'Hand' for Seelie Court. Though should more people join Fae then he will be demoted to something of a errand horse.

Now Fae in general are tricky and honestly they're hard to play as I have several rules for species, backstory and power sets. Ie. You cannot be a Winter-born in the position of Hand in Seelie without a dang good backstory. Powers I'm pretty chill with so long as you aren't doing MAJOR things. (World ending, or mass murder aside from a pub of Mortals or goblins) You'll see major power from the Rulers but there's a HUGE reason for that which goes into plot. Generally if you don't know if you can do something feel free to Pm me I'm on everyday. So I will work my ass off with that with you. It's part of the reason I've limited the Fae to 2 Hands for each Court.

Essentially I'd like to hear your idea, but I'm not sure I'll accept a Eriking as they've been noted as 'king of Fae'. A position Falk and Yggdrasil both hold.

Oh not him exactly, (one of) his daughters. I’ve been doing some research of my own, but found very little.

Here was my working idea, heavily influenced by a book that had a neat interpretation of his myth, was thus:

The Erlking is a powerful Fae, what the queens of the Seele and Unseele are to their courts, over the “Wyldfae”, who are the fae who don’t usually align with either court, but rather fall between. This includes goblins and trolls. Basically the have-nots of the Fair Folk.

He is a hunter in nature, holding dominion over the spirits of fallen hunters, and the energy of the hunt: excitement, hunger and primal bloodlust. He also is one of the beings who can call up the Wild Hunt.

Of children, he either preys on them, heralds their deaths, or he's a guardian making sure the souls of children aren't harmed or diverted as they leave their bodies. Nobody is quite sure.

However, with the disater that befell the Sidhe, he too disappeared. After so long, his six daughters, each lesser in power than he, but still strong enough, grew concerned and began to search for him. For while he is gone, his duties go unfulfilled...

My character would be would be the youngest (and least powerful and respected) of the daughters.

Just the rough idea I had. I could tweak it to better fit the setting, or scrap it entirely if you don’t like it.

@Belle You need to get over that. Belle things happen, characters die. Fear is a mind killer and you cannot let it hold yuo back. If you die? Make another character, and try-try again.

Working on it, sorry I suddenly had quite a bit of work heaped on my plate. Its frustrating, but it will probably be Saturday before I can finish.
