Really digging these posts, my siblins of scribery.
@The Grey Dust I like you using the breeze from the flavor to introduce your god, my, motherfucking, kindred. That was more cinematic than a Lord of the Rings sequel.
@Lord Zee I'm digging these to and froms between you and the Essential, comrade. You're two conversations in and you're producing plot, nice smooth sailing.
POWER SCALE UPDATE
---------------------------------------
=>0: You are performing your power at mortal capacity: equal to a gifted person. If your magical ability has no magical equilivant that a mortal could reasonably perform then you gain a skill trait equal to it: EG: heal power to being naturally gifted at doctoring.
------------------------------------------
1: Throwing fire balls without thinking. Conjuring simple, goo like lifeforms no complexity(or thoughts), slow and timid wild growth. Mild but noticable humanoid thought suggestion/mood suggestion of either nature. If you wanted to do a skill equal to a higher point level, your character must take a WEEK for each point they lack to perform it.
This dosen't apply to passive traits: such as types of sight, turning invisible, knowledge, strength, clairvoyance, ectr. You must have at least 1 point to work create a higher level spell. 0 dosen't count.
-----------------------------------------
2: Your mastery of your magical ability is now affirmed: you can with a thought make animal shapes out of fire to the size of truck, grow small plants/vines just by touching a location, and easily scramble someone thoughts just by willing it.
-----------------------------------
3: By costing a post for opening you can commit level 3 abilities: At this point you can summon small, localized fire tornados, make vines consume a tower block just by focusing on it, or DESTROY a mortal mind: rendering them dribbling insane shells. Complex creation of a humanoid creatures or sentient elemental can be done in a day. In months you could -if you have the appropriate ability- create small communinities of human-like intelligence beings.
4: Killing single mortals with a thought is easy. Combusting a man by looking at him? making fungus slowly grow in his lungs by willing it? Giving someone a moderate mental illness? all with just the will? Yes. Making monsters relating to your power is easy, sometimes you do it accidentally.
If you already could make creatures: you may, without even meaning to, make sentient, humanoid complex creatures with certain personality traits already engrained. Desinging monsters up to 20 feet high now is an days job. True complexity escapes you still, but you could easily copy another creatures features and add it to your current project. It may take a couple of days: cases may vary.
Powerful, but subtetly escapes you. Your power reactively just goes for the worst damage it can inflict, or most beneficial if you don't take time to delicately focus it.
--------------------------------------------
5: In battle; by using a post as a charge and leaving yourself open, you could produce an effect multiple times in a small radius of 50 feet around you. Be it making every combusts, to summoning a feild of painful thorns, to making simple, hostile blobs appear.
At this level your power dosen't grow as much as your ability to fine tune it: Making NEW mental illnesses ? do-able. Slowly crafting a flaming castle or a volcanic being? Can do. Crafting a new spell painstaikingly? ok.
Creating life forms, plants or things that already require a creative ability from the start pretty much gives you full reign over this ability. You can now intergrate anything that already exists, or, simply make new, alien traits to your creations. Your time to produce beings is dramatically reduce: you can make giants (40 feet tall) beeings noww.
-------------------------------------------------
6: You gain a second miracle point: allowing you to do miracles twice in one decade.
Your power has effectively stretched out and you get a second lot perks based on the power this scale applies to. Your moral agents will start gaining strange strengths and buffs by simply working for you. You may ASCEND a mortal agent: transforming them into a LESSER god. But only relating to this power in some form.
Warning: Ascending a mortal can have unpredictable resuilts.
-------------------------------------------
7: Your sheer power has generated a private realm the size of a small moon. You are a god: true to the name. While things cannot leave your godly realm; you can make things here....even if you normally couldn't do so with your power. Generating armies within hours is easy. Radically changing the landscape done in an afternoon.
At this point you can send Mortals on a spiritual quest that will open a portal to your realm. This quest is dangerous, deadly, and most will not make it. Even under your control; your realm is no place for mortals and they will actively work against a realm that instictively rejects mortals: due to their flawed imperfection.
IF they survive and make it back: your agent will recieve buffs, perks, become an avatar. All avatars gain your MORTAL AFFAIRS stat as a bonus onto themselves and can now summon your creations...even you...with enough time, resources-and of course success- from your realm into the mortal plain.
I was thinking on that. I'm going to generate some perks soon. I don't want to do it in all one go and end up making it convulted in a rush or make them unthougtful. I'm going to make the NPC gods next.
Then post. Before you guys get any of your mortal agents/get to use miracles your perks will be assigned.
