Hi there!
Recently I was a part of a multiverse rp, that sadly didn't come out on top with the whole website glitching on and off again. Supposedly there was going to be a soft reboot, that I am still holding out hope for, but as the weeks go by am becoming more and more positive it won't happen. So in the meantime, I was wondering if there was anyone else here interested in doing a multiverse type roleplay, and if so, what kind? Personally, I'm leaning more towards Sandbox, with occasional larger events, in the same style as the previous rp I was in, but am open to suggestions. Also, would appreciate other suggestions regarding rps of this nature, as I'm unfamiliar with leading sandbox type rps.

I did have an idea to a light novel based anime multiversal RP similar to how DWG3 was set up where the characters find themselves in some strange alternate dimension.

Oh okay. Since its dealing with normal people coming into the multiverse, would that mean ut would be more plot driven as opposed to the sandbox style, or would things focus on a lot of characters from here suddenly appearing over there?

I'd say it would vary between plot driven and character driven.

Interesting. So would they be brought into the multiverse for a specific task, or would it be more like in the long Earth book series where they just sort of stepped over ?

Also, I've been thinking of some kind of big company or cooperation that specializes in suppression of powers/ technology/ magic, etc, etc. Basically, these guys will be able to alter reality in various ways, depending on what their costumers want. Maybe some places don't want anyone to have any access to magic and other places just don't want anyone with technology to be a bother. So they'll call these guys, and they'll come and set up fields which'll nullify said problem, or post agents equipped with various weapons which can easily by pass special abilities and items.

The reason why i'm leaning towards this idea is because it allows for a much greater range of characters and abilities since there's always going to be a universal constant which can put a stop to them.

Or would serve as ways to limit various characters at various areas to make sure no character was ever allowed to be too OP. Though I guess some people wouldn't like the idea, because all of a sudden, the characters they designed for every occasion will find themselves just as helpless as the every day individuals.

I do, however, like the idea of the company serving as a private police force.

One possible item I'm leaning towards, if they don't have warping fields, are bullets that are able to nullify healing abilities and can penetrate special defenses without difficulty.

Not sure if I should allow anyone to play a member of this agency or if they should all be npcs?

If not with the aforementioned company, how what kind of limits should be placed on character abilities/ technology?
