How's everybody doing? It has been 12 days since the first IC post, so I've decided I'll post again this weekend, possibly today.

As you may remember, the preference is that we post at least once every two weeks. There may be exceptions from time to time but if somebody cannot make the two weeks, the main story will continue regardless. I hope you're all still with us as the OOC has been especially quiet. I find that listening to the right music, reading back over some posts, and thinking about my character is sometimes a helpful way to get back in the rhythm.

Moving forward, you don't need to wait for everybody to post before you post again, as long as it's not spamming with lots of frequent posts. That way, we can hopefully keep activity in the IC flowing. I know how this works and that sometimes there's a rush to get posting in the beginning, enough that slower activity can sometimes kill the interest. Hopefully that's not the case here.

Still kicking around, though my Desktop gave up the ghost a couple days ago, so I've been devoting all my freetime to fixing that. But the good news is we've either fixed it, or we're at the point where we basically sit around and wait for the next failure to happen (or the next part to get here)

@EchoesofOld Ah, computer woes. I feel your pain. Running Windows 10, I've never had so many computer problems in my life. If I find out the E-6 has even one system running Windows, Mars will be the least of its problems.

@EchoesofOld @ReusableSword I understand that you're depending on another post from YungTweak to continue. I can see she hasn't been on for a few days. I say give her a few more days as she'll most likely appear, but if not, I'd suggest one of you shake up the scene and perhaps have her character disappear in the action just to keep things active for now.

Heya! Sorry for the delay guys but finally posted.

So locations are open for debate, but I have it set up like this:

There are 2 Defender snipers just outside the N.O. camp where the explosion took place. Guns trained on the gates.

At the gates, a N.O. transport is stuck, pinched between the fortified doors. What is visible to the team is the flabed that has the wreckage that they are looking for; helicopter parts and 'junk' for the E-6.

En route to snatch the stuff off the pinched truck is the rest of the Last Down squad. They have a military transport that 'has enough seats for survivors' ;DD They have a trailer of their own of which is strapped more 'junk' to help the E-6.

Octavia is going to stay right where she is lol unless they drag her ass to the Novus Ordo camp. Maybe you guys can end up at her clinic after finishing at the base? Just a random thought

In the event that people spot the Defenders, I suppose they'll either disregard them in the craziness of events or ask questions as to why this particular, unfamiliar group is present. They're not your typical unit, so it might ignite those rumours of the E-6 being present somewhere nearby. Combine that with the Novus Ordo and any potential rebels, and we'll certainly have some madness on our hands. But we'll cross these paths as and when they come.

Well, I'd say Octavia is good where she is, just so long as ORB doesn't wander off. ;)

The whole point of "Last Down" is that they were out to collect and secure the Last components to get the E6 airborne again. They were never meant to go into enemy territory. The heli was supposed to pick up their cargo from their remote location. They were just the very best security team to do the job and do it right.

But then the heli got shot down. The components were taken. The situation became desperate. Desperate times call desperate measures. They got the green light to go into the open to get the components. It's a do or die mission and the liaison Xavier knows it so he is freaking out.

I can easily edit my post to have the defenders dressed up as "regular soldiers" if need be. Hell, I can even edit the squad into just a hired gun squad that needs to complete objective or not get paid/what was promised .

@EchoesofOld Well on the off chance Young doesn't come back I think it was your turn to post. If you want to attack the guard on her that's fine but if Roman gets to him he'll kill the guard. He has some feelings toward the N.O. he hasn't fully dealt with yet.

@ReusableSword @EchoesofOld Yung hasn't been online for about five days. Feel free to go ahead with your post, EchoesofOld. Perhaps some kind of distraction can come into play, at which point sight is lost of Yung's character. It can be assumed she slipped away at the first opportunity. Maybe trade some ideas on how to proceed if needed. If and when Yung comes back, she can post again to join back up with you with no harm done.

I will edit in that they will not be dressed in the typical Defender gear/outfit and so have them dressed up in a less conspicuous attire.
