The memories of the invasion surely were horrible to all of them. Marina could feel their pain, although she had no idea on what to say.


Auror: Rayla...

Marina: I... I cannot say for sure, Miss Rayla. Father sent us here without telling what our mission is, so-
Xaizor: We're on this.

BGM: Para, ite! (Puella Magi Madoka Magica Portable)

Xaizor appeared from behind the door, walking towards them.


Marina: X-Xaizor?! Did you just follow me?!

Xaizor: We may discuss a lot, but we're family, you dolt. I was worried about you, so I've followed you.

Marina smiled as he looked at Rayla, Ted and Auror. Xaizor was determined to aid them. It was a way for him to prove his worth.


Xaizor: Dad didn't told us what we're supposed to do in this expedition, but I'm certain that it has something to do with those monsters. If this town isn't safe, it's not just because of some thugs or what not.

Xaizor: I swear that I'll get to the bottom of this. Just like Dad did in the past, it's our turn to save the worlds, Marina.

Marina: You are right. I will do as well. I do not wish to see any world falling into ruination. While the truth behind our expedition is still unknown, this shall become our part into this. We will not let the deaths of the people be in vain.

They nodded at each other and nodded firmly at them. Auror gave a small laugh and returned to smile.


Auror: Heh, you two do sound like a prince and princess now.

Marina: Auror...?

Auror: If they're inclined to believe in you, I'm going to believe in you two as well. You came here with proof enough that you two aren't simpletons.

Xaizor: You shouldn't take my sister that lightly, you know.

Auror: ... I may not have all the time in the world, but I'll help in the way I can. That is, if you two permit me.

Marina: O-Of course! We know nothing about this world, after all. We will need all aid.

Auror: Got it, Your Highness.

Xaizor: Hey, don't start treating us so differently because of our status in another world. We're not superior to you here.

Marina: I would prefer to not be treated as a princess as well. It would be unfair.

Auror: If you guys say so. What about you two?

Xaizor: We won't force you guys into this. It's your city, but you have your own lives.

Rayla: (Guess it's safe to assume that their father sent them here because he wants to test their worth. I kinda feel bad for thinking he is a negligent one.) I'll be more than glad to help. I do have a personal vendetta against these monsters, so if you need something, don't hesitate in calling me.

Ted: In my case...I don't think I can give you an aswer right away...I'm still not confident enough about myself.

Rayla: Wait, you're actually considering...

Ted: As long as it doesn't involve harming someone, I'm sure I can help out with.

Rayla: I see...So there you have it. We'll also make sure to keep the existence of other worlds a secret...I'm afraid that if such info falls in the hands of the Mysterious Group...I don't even want to think the kinds of lenghts they would go to research that fact.

Ted: Your secret is safe with us.

Rayla: Well then, I'll keep my part of the promise and let you duke it out with Melanie. I always wanted to be around when she started to treat people badly so that I could teach her a lesson...But I have the feeling you'll give just the right punishment for her as well.

Spring Zone - Entrance to the Celest Family's Pagoda

Music: Raven

Guard: Halt! Who goes there!

Hiagor: I'm here to speak with Mister Bernard Celest Gold. The name's Hiagor Marlek.
Guard: Have you marked an appointment with him?

Hiagor: As a matter of fact, I'm currently Mr F's secretary. He called me to accompany him in the reunion.
Guard: Really now? Let me check...

Moments later, the gates opened, seemly getting the confirmation that what Hiagor said was true.

Guard: Sorry for the wait...You may enter.

Hiagor: That's good! (Thanks Farenheit for opening up a space in your busy schedule to help with my investigation...I want to make it up to you somehow, but I doubt my money can pay for an expensive dinner. I'm still paying for the loan that Sky Finance gave me, so I'm not exactly loaded in cash.)

He entered the place, admiring the beauty of the Celest Family's Pagoda as he walked towards it. He heard that while the Celest Family were originally foreigners, they've let themselves being influenced by Unitia's culture.


???: There you are my dear "secretary". You're just in time.

Hiagor: I have to be always on point, or else I wouldn't deserve the spot I'm in right now, Mister F.



This man is known publicly as Mister F, an influential multibilionaire who assumed his family's business after his parents died of natural causes. He is in fact, adopted, belonging once to the Glory Star Orphanage. He has fond memories of that place and usually donates money to not only that place, but to charity events as well. Despite the rivalry his family has with the Shuuya Family and their Shuuya Company, he's good friends with Kurosato, even helping him out on his own charity events, as Kurosato himself can't use his family's money for it.


Hiagor: I'm not sure If I can ever repay you.

Mr. F: Just take me to dinner. I like hanging out with a friend after a rough day in the office.

Hiagor: You're not serious...are you?

Mr. F: 100% Serious! It doesn't matter where, after this, you're paying me for something to eat. Now let's get going, or we might was the time Mister Celest lent to us.

Hiagor: Now I owe you for telling me I can use my small allowance to pay you for a measly dinner.

Mr. F: Cut that out now.

Hiagor: How can I? You're too generous. That's rare among rich people.

Mr. F: Yeah...but still, only a dinner is good enough for me.

Then, they climbed the stairs to reach the top floor, where they would meet Bernard, who was waiting for them.

Marina: As much as I would never imagine myself saying this... I shall not disappoint, Miss Rayla.

Auror: Well, let's head back. Class is going to start soon-

Auror: Oh, now it struck me.

Xaizor: What?

Auror: The secret. The others. What are we going to do about it?

Xaizor: I don't see a problem. I spit the beans after all, so it's fair to let them know.

Marina: I also am not against telling them. We are friends, so they should know. I trust that they will be able to keep it a secret.

Auror: If you guys say so. Let's get going then.

Location: Fleeting Memories School - First Year Classroom A

The entire school flooded with the duel between Marina and Melanie. At her class, she quickly became the talk of the students.

Girl #1: Did you saw it? It seems the newcomer is going to fight the Queen herself!
Girl #2: She's very crazy, but I really hope that Melanie loses. I hate that girl to my gut's end.
Girl #1: We need to film it! I'll come late at home, but I really need to see Melanie's face once she loses!

On her seat, Veronica was actually worried about Marina. She didn't want this fight to happen.


Veronica: Marina... why haven't you said no to her?

Location: Fleeting Memories School - Second Year Classroom C

It was no different on the second years. Everyone was talking about the duel.

Boy #1: So, who do you guys think it's going to win?
Girl #1: It's definitely Melanie. No one messes with her.
Boy #2: I dunno, the new girl sounded pretty confident when she took the challenge coming from Melanie.

Lucent was not paying attention, reading a book to distract from all of those idle banters.


Lucent: (All they talk it's about this stupid fight. At least I'm not the center of attentions anymore... though I hope Marina wins, I guess...)

Location: Fleeting Memories School - Third Year Classroom B

The comments also spread around the third years.


Masaru: I can't believe I didn't stop them. *sigh*

Kaito: Hey, don't worry about it. Marina's definitely winning this.

Masaru: How can you be so sure?

Kaito: It's a hunch.

Masaru: Kaito, you're depositing your hopes on a hunch?

Kaito: It's not the end of the world. If she loses, it's just a loss. If she wins, it's just a win.

Masaru: Many students are actually rooting for Marina... but I don't think Melanie's weak...

Kaito: We'll see that once the fight happens. On the meanwhile, let's just wait.

Masaru: Ayame's going to have a field trip with this...

Fleeting Memories School - Corridors

As she was coming back from the Faculty Office, Tiane kept overhearing the gossip about the fight.


Tiane: (Seems like this Queen person must've been a real jerk to the entire school for this fight to generate such buzz. I better not lose a second of it.)

Then, she arrived at the door of her classroom.


Tiane: (Alright...this is it...The time to meet my classmates for the first and last time.)

She enters the room, it was mostly filled up save for some seats, they were all busy with the gossip to even notice her. She managed to get a seat near the window.


Tiane: (Here, now I have a place where I can avert my gaze to.)
???: Hey, haven't seen your face before. Are you perhaps a transfer student?

Tiane: (Of course...it can't be that easy.) What do you want?

When she turns around, she sees a girl with a hairstyle way too similar to someone she knew.

Music: A king of apathy


Tiane: Heh...What is this? Are you The Holy Hammer's fangirl? You got the asymmetry wrong.

???: More like I'm her opposite to be honest.

Tiane: Huh? That doesn't make any sense.

???: She's the Ancestor Mage of Light...or at least she would be had she inherited the Family Holy Sword and awakened to her true element. Me on other hand, uses the EXS of the Obscure Lightining.

Tiane: EXS? What is that?

???: It's an ability that basically any normal person can attain.

Tiane: !!!

???: Ah! Seems like I picked your interest.

Tiane: No...Not really...

???: W-What do you mean?

Tiane: I've learned my lesson about attaining mysterious kind of powers. I would probably just try to kill Rayla again while being drunk by it. I want to defeat her on my own terms.

???: I see...That's Too bad! Guess I'll find someone else to tempt this power with. You can stay with your impossible dream.

Tiane: You do that.

???: Now then, changing subjects, have you noticed how cherry these people are when talking about the fateful duel between our gracious Queen and the transfer student?

Tiane: How would I not? They all seem ready to see the Queen burn to the ground.

???: They are like this, but if it was "that" person, they would actually feel sorry for the poor transfer student instead.

Tiane: Who?

???: The Devil of the Thorny Roses, Miss Sorano Youkou.

Tiane: Still doesn't ring a bell.

???: Doesn't surprise me. I mean, you're a newcomer after all. Let me explain: She's this 3rd Year Student who has made herself known for pretty much beating up anyone she doesn't like, deeming pretty much anyone below her as thrash. I heard that she's been like this since she was a 1st year.

Tiane: The heck? How is she still even studying here?

???: Don't tell anyone I said this but... *leans closer* Rumor is...she's actually a Mafia Princess...Most likely, a patriach of a family or even the chairman of a clan. She's threatening the school to change her grades so that she can graduate.

Tiane: (Oh boy...) I-If that's the case, then why does she even come here in the first place?

???: Probably to talk with someone who she has business with.

Tiane: D-Does Rayla knows about this? I mean, she studied here last year.

???: As a matter of fact, Rayla's presence here made the Princess behave with more caution. She only ever hits the ones that directly bumps into her for "dirtying her perfect body."

Tiane: I see...

???: Result: Her visits are rarer...I would say at least once ever 15 days. I assume she's afraid that a possible defeat by the Holy Hammer would deal a killing blow to her clan's confidence.

Tiane: I doubt that. You see...Rayla doesn't directly go after criminals...So even if they bumped by chance and Miss Thorny Rose got her ass kicked, she would still do her criminal activities like nothing have happened.

???: I see....I forgot about that detail.

Tiane: You seem to know alot about...well, everything.

???: I'm really curious about things...even if going after such knowledge would put my life at risk.

Tiane: You're a weird one.

???: You can say that again.

Tiane: By the way...I didn't catch your name.

???: Oh, how rude of me. We've been talking for a while without exchanging names. Let me introduce myself then, I'm...




Tiane: I'm Tatianna Eagler, Tiane for short.

Miolina: Tatianna? You mean, that Tatianna who kept getting her ass kicked by The Holy Hammer?

Tiane: T-The same one...

Miolina: The teachers pretty much gave up calling your name since you've never came. How come you even made to High School?

Tiane: The boss forced me to study for a bit...saying that I at least should take the tests...By the way, how come you didn't notice it was me earlier?

Miolina: You have a forgetable face.

Tiane: D-Do I?

Miolina: Yep! Bland as a normal person. You really do not look unique at all.

Tiane: W-Well...Shut up! Let's stop for now...Maybe we can talk later.

Miolina: Sure thing! I'll look foward to it, my new friend! Maybe I'll tour you around the school when it's lunch time.

Tiane: Friend huh?

Music: A day in the girl's mind


Teacher: Morning my dear students!
Everyone Except Tatianna: Good Morning Teacher.

Teacher: I've received some interesting news today. Our friend Tatianna Eagler finally decided to study with us.

Tiane: Only for one da-

Teacher: Please, introduce yourself to your classmates.

Tiane: D-Do I have to? I'm pretty sure everybody knows my name by now.

Teacher: Your name sure, but what about yourself?

Miolina: Why don't you go on right ahead? I'm sure it's going to be fun.

Tiane: Nobody asked how fun it was going to be.

Wanting this to be over fast, Tatianna stood in front of the entire classroom. Some of the students were chatting between themselves.

Student #1: Hey, isn't she that girl that keeps picking fights with that other girl? I saw them fighting a lot.
Student #2: Might be the same one...I've heard she's part of a gang.
Student #3: Oh no! What if she goes after my lunch money?
Student #4: She might bring her companions if we contrariate her...Just like the Thorny Rose.
Student #5: I told my mom I didn't want to study here...

Girl: Sigh... (How pathetic...)

Boy: (They sure do like to take the wrong conclusions way too fast.)

Teacher: Alright, be quiet for a moment...Now Tatianna, if you may.

Tiane: My name is...

Teacher: Look directly at them.

Tiane: Oh c'mon!!!

Teacher: Don't worry. No one will bite your face off.

Tiane: That's...not the issue...

Teacher: I'm sure you were shy like this when you used to hang out with the Freelers Gang.

Tiane: Well...

Teacher: So no need to worry, you'll get used to your friends with time.

Tiane: Fine...My name is Tatianna...

Teacher: Look foward, not down.

Tiane: Urgh...Fine. My name is Tatianna Eagler. Age 16. I live at the Glory Star Orphanage. I like challenging Rayla to a fight and to hang out with Granny Amara once in a while. Thanks to trainning a lot, I've become fond of jogging as an exercise. I know Spring Zone by the palm of my hand, knowing every tiny nook and cranny.
Student #6: That's cool! Can you teach me any kind of shortcut? Taking buses sucks.

Tiane: Well...I wouldn't really recommend it since some criminals also take those routes. You might bump into one by accident and...you can imagine the rest.
Student #6: Aww man...
Student #7: What's that thing on your ear?

Tiane: Oh these? They are hearding aids...I don't want to talk about it really...But don't worry, I can still hear you just fine with these on.

Teacher: Anything else you want to share with your classmates?

Tiane: Not really...Nice to meet them...I guess?

Teacher: Good, now take your seat, we're starting with math today.

Tiane: Okay... (Finally...)

Girl: See, it didn't hurt that much, did it?

Tiane: No...

Boy: Just relax! You're between friends here. Just enjoy yourself.

Tiane: Whatever...

She returns back to her seat, expecting the upcoming lesson to bore her out of her mind.

Time has passed and lunchtime arrived at last. They reunited at the rooftop once again. It was like their usual point. While eating, Veronica rose a question.


Veronica: I don't want to be repetitive, but can't you please back off from this?

Marina: I am sorry, Veronica, but that I cannot do. I know you are worried but I will be fine.

Masaru: I don't know... I heard Melanie is strong herself. Makes it out why she's called the Queen-

Auror: She's called as Queen because of connections. Seems like she has ties with someone from the government. People say she's niece of the mayor and she uses her status to gain those extra points.

Masaru: Really? So that's why then...

Xaizor: I know she's going down for sure. Marina's dethroning her for good.

Marina: X-Xaizor, do not speak of me as if I was you!

Xaizor: If it was me, I'd put her down at that instant.

Marina: Hmph. As the savage tribesman you are, I can imagine.

Kaito: I'll be cheering for you, Marina! I know you can do it!

Auror: Literally the entire school is rooting for her. Wherever you go, it's always gossip and speculation.

Marina: I can see that she is a pretty bad person if people are rooting for me that much.

Auror: Trust me, once you take her down, the school will go nuts. Melanie looks down on everyone, even on me, Veronica and Ted. She thinks of herself as the top tier of the school.

Masaru: And yet she's not even close to be liked. Everyone intensely disliskes her.

Kaito: Talk about intense. Some people are even betting for this...

While they were chatting, Lucent's silence bothered Xaizor a little.


Xaizor: Hey Lucent, say something.

Lucent: ... Something...?

Xaizor: You don't have to be that blunt, stupid. Just jump in the conversation.

Lucent: I... don't have anything to say, actually.

Marina: Xaizor, please stop making him uncomfortable about it.
Lucent: Wait... I have a question.

Kaito: Oh? You're going to start a conversation then! Good guy! *pats Lucent on the head*

Masaru: Kaito, he's not a dog. Stop that.

Kaito: What? Jealous because you can't?
Masaru: S-Shut it. Now apologize to Lucent.

Lucent: It's... fine. More importantly...

Lucent looked at Rayla but then turned his face away while speaking. Looking at her seemed dangerous and it could give the wrong impression.


Lucent: Um... what were you... talking about in the morning?

Rayla: (That's rare...He's actually talking to me.) Hm? You mean the one I had with Marina?

Reeta: (It's nice that Lucent is here and all...but where is Tatianna?)

Ted: (I'm assuming Andorina is still gathering the get well cards.)

Fleeting Memories School - 1st Year Classroom D

Meanwhile, Tatianna was pressing her forehead on the desk. Then, someone approached her.


Girl: Hey Tatianna, you were impressive answering all those questions like they were nothing.

Tiane: (Darn...why the hell the teacher said...)

Teacher: "I bet you couldn't answer these in a million years."

Tiane: (...as if she knew that I can't back down from a challenge? I fell for it like a chump...)

Boy: Guess I got some rivalry here.

Tiane: I only need one rival...Braidy Four Eyes.

Boy: Well, If you say so.

Miolina: Hey! Are you guys trying to hog the "newcomer"? We already promised to tour the school together.

Girl: Don't act so stingy Miolina, you know we can share.

Miolina: Actually...You can stay with her for today. I just remembered I had something important to do?

Tiane: And that is?

Miolina: Staying on line to get today's special at the cafeteria.

Tiane: O...kay?

Miolina: Have fun! Toodles!

Miolina darts away from the room.


Tiane: Is she always like this?

Girl: If you mean cherry, the answer is yes. She's a nosy cherry girl.

Tiane: Guess that curiosity of hers also extends to her hunger...Anyway, let's get this over with...

Girl: Calm down there. Let's get through introductions first.




GV: And I'm Geeves, GV for short. Nice to meet you.

Tiane: So...Where are we going first?

Nanase: The school's entrance. That's where the cherry blossoms greets us during spring.

Tiane: Hmmm...Well, whatever... (It's not like I see them all the time in Spring Zone anyway...)

Without much enthusiasm, Tatianna followed Nanase and GV towards the school's entrance.

Lucent nodded. Once he did, Marina took out her book and opened it once again.


Auror: Are you sure about this, Marina?

BGM: The Peaceful Hometown (Tales of Zestiria)


Marina: Yes, I am. I trust in them too, Auror.

Veronica: Hmm? What are you talking about?

Marina: Remember how you asked me yesterday about my homeland? I shall explain about it, in the same method I did with Miss Rayla, Mister Ted and Mister Auror.

Veronica: Ooooooh!! OK, I'm all ears!

Xaizor: You guys must keep it a secret as well. With that said...

Marina: Allow me to begin then.

Marina did the same explanation, since she wasn't against telling the others just as she told Rayla, Ted and Auror. Xaizor helped her by explaining how their conditions, while unknown, had something to do with this world.


Xaizor: ... And that's pretty much the gist of it.

Veronica: Oh my god... I have a real prince and princess as friends...!!

Masaru: People from other world... that's... unbelievable...

Kaito: Then, the fact that you both came from the fountain wasn't a magic trick?! It was something like-

Lucent: ... Teleporting...

Marina: We had planned to keep this a secret from all costs, but... to be honest, as residents of this world and our first friends here, you have the right to know about us.

Xaizor: Though we would like if you don't treat us as royalty. Like I said to those three, we're just normal people here, not nobles.

Auror: It's a pretty interesting story, if you'd ask me.

Masaru: I'm... actually still speechless about it. But I'd like to thank you for coming here and decide to help us out of the blue like this.

Xaizor: Dude, I was waiting for this chance my whole life. After all, I have a task of my own to fulfill.

Lucent: A task...?

Xaizor nodded, proud. He was the one who has been most excited for all of this and he began to tell them the reason why.


Xaizor: In our world, there's a legendary weapon which we call Felm Gloria. It's a dual spear, one of light and one of darkness. It's said that this weapon is the one who was wield by Lacrima's First Gods and was used to create it all.

Kaito: Whoa, really?! Nice! That seems really awesome!

Xaizor: Man, you haven't seen it in action yet! My father is the current wielder of Felm Gloria and he's so damn powerful! No one has ever beaten Dad, not even me!

Auror: So your own wish is to inherit this legendary weapon... but for what exact purpose? Just to wield it?

Xaizor: No, not just that! I want to be just like Dad, strong to defend the people and to save everyone whenever they need it! And I'm sure I'll be able to do that if I inherit Felm Gloria from him!

Masaru: But are you able to use spears like he does?

Xaizor: Well... not yet. I've been using a katana for now, but I'm sure I'll be good with spears soon enough!

Lucent: (So Xaizor is a maniac for strength... I can see that he's pretty reckless just by the way he talks about this weapon... but it does seem like he has a noble goal.)

Veronica: And you, Marina? What do you aim for in this expedition?

Marina looked a little down. She had put this whole strong princess image, when in reality she never wished to come.


Marina: To be honest... I was against this expedition. I am here, I have said I want to aid you, but truth be told, I would have never come here on my own.

Kaito: Oh? Why?

Marina: Back at home, I am a member of the Royal Parliament of Magical Studies. Even though it may seem like focused on magic, we study the proportions and characteristics of any manifestation of power. That includes aura, psychic, mutation...

Auror: Oh, that's interesting. So basically, you study how power can exist and how it can be acquired.

Marina: That is the basic about it. The Parliament trains people to know how to wield, control and adapt to the power of their choice. I focus my studying on elemental magic.

Masaru: That sounds difficult... what sorts of element have you been mastering right now?

Marina: The elements we use are Fire, Water, Wind, Thunder, Light and Darkness. Though I have been only able to use three of them being Water, Wind and Light.

Marina: My aim is to fully become a sage and master the elements of magic, so that I can help people who wish to use it, but fear to lose control of it.

Lucent: (On the meanwhile, Marina seeks wisdom before strength. That's why exerting physical strength is something she wants to avoid. Noble, but it somewhat looks like she's running...)

Auror: Yet you're going to fight Melanie today. Heh, you sure went a lot of degrees away from your path.

Marina: I know I did it, but it is for a good cause.

Once she did it, Marina realized that she and Xaizor extended the whole conversation towards them.


Marina: Oh no, we have been talking about me and Xaizor for a long while. I am so sorry...

Rayla: It's okay. If anything, it did explain a lot more about you two.

Ted: Learning all the elements and teaching them to other people huh? Seems like the people from your world really have it easy. The normal humans from this world can't learn magic unless they are born from Ancestor Families, and even still, you're restricted to only one element or none at all...And the ancestor families that wield the elements of Fire, Thunder, Earth and Water are...some are inactive while others are gone... We do have Darkness, Light, Ice and Wind. Don't ask about healing magic though...Not even we know if it exists or not. Only some Heat Aura users manages to become full-fleged Chi Masters due to the extremely harsh physical trainning. And Psychic Users are only showing up recently...Nobody knows much about them yet...People aren't exactly researching about them in a good way...

Reeta: (I still don't know much about my powers...My fight with Rayla was the first and only time I've used them with some proper control...but I never bothered to experiment more with them.)

Rayla: Still...maybe you should try getting some physical trainning Marina. While our magic is largely of the destructive type, our physical growth is quicker than normal humans, and we can increase it even further with something called enhancement magic. For short, every Ancestor Mage doubles as a fighter as well, and some families even specializes in it, like the Blue Tsurugi Family, who are able to wield massive swords with ease, they even get swords custom made for them. The Akari Family who are the experts in magic-tech...though only them can use it effectively for now...and the Cid Crimson Family. They are born devoid of a magic powers, but possess great reflexes and strenght...but in exchange, they are also born with a disability. (Much like Tiane...but she doesn't have all the strenght like them.)

Ted: Now look who's talking too much...us!

Rayla: Yeah...Kinda got carried away...but we were going to explain this sooner or later anyway, so I'm glad we said it.

Marina: No, no, this is really important to know. Thank you for the information. And yes, I do agree I need physical training, but I admit I am horrible at it.

Xaizor: You do know healing as well, right? I mean, you've been studying White Magic as well, don't you?

Marina: Technically I do, but not all spells yet. I have not reached the higher levels yet.

Auror: About the healing magic, it exists.

Kaito: Oh yeah, the Intermezzo family! You guys are Ancestor Mages too, right?

Masaru: And who's the healer?

Veronica: It's me.

Auror: The Intermezzo family's specialty is in Water magic. Veronica here is the sole heir of it. However, unlike the predecessors, her magic is completely focused on healing, so she can't attack at all. She does have some defensive magic, but we don't train her for stuff like fighting nor do we plan on doing that.

Veronica: Which is completely unfair! I can do well on fighting, thank you very much!

Xaizor: Wait, sole heir? But aren't you two brothers?

Auror: I'm adopted. I don't wield the same style.

Marina: And what elements do you use?
Auror: Hybrid between Wind and Ice.

Marina: Interesting... Lucent, what about you?

This was something Lucent wanted to avoid being questioned. Everything was moving way too fast. The fact he was alongside people again was already something that scared him.


Lucent: ... I'm not an Ancestor Mage.

Xaizor: But you have a power, don't you? I kinda feel an aura from you.

Lucent: ... I don't want to talk about it...

Xaizor: Hey, c'mon now. What's the matter about your power?
Lucent: Please, stop...

Kaito: H-Hey, let's change the subject...

Auror: He's not telling us to stop.

Veronica: Mister Lucent...?

Auror: You don't have to say anything if you don't want to.

Lucent already began to look away. Kaito and Masaru were getting nervous about the situation, since they both knew about how he was uncomfortable with the situation. However, worried about his well being, Marina insisted.


Marina: I hate to do this but it is for the best. Mister Lucent, is your power the reason why you are so distant?

Kaito and Lucent: !!

Marina: I do not wish to jump to any assumptions, but just by seeing you... do you... fear your own power...?

Lucent: ...

Veronica: Mister Lucent, we're just trying to help you. Everyone's worried about you.

Xaizor: Lucent, do what's right for you.

He wanted to get up and run. But at the same time, his judgement could be done right there, right now. If they all knew about how horrific his power was and how it already killed someone, he would either be left alone forever or be finished by the hands of someone. This would mean he'd release Kaito and Reeta from a burden that was himself. He took the second option.


Lucent: ... I... give up. I'll tell everything.

Kaito: ...

Marina: (Mister Kaito...?)

Lucent: ... I am a half-demon. I control the darkness and with it, I can induce nightmares and traumas to people. That's the cursed power I wield.

Xaizor: The power to induce nightmares... that's something nasty to imagine...

Lucent looked at the people who resided in this world.


Lucent: ... Do you know about the "Childhood's Breeze Mystery Death"?

Auror: I do. It's the incident that took place at the school who stood before ours. What of it?

Lucent: That unnamed witness... it was me.

Auror: Really?! What happened then?! Who did it-

Auror reminded himself of the fact that only this unnamed witness and the kid stood in the same place. If it wasn't a suicide, then his power was responsible behind this.


Auror: Lucent... don't tell me... you-

Lucent: I never wanted to, I swear! I... I didn't knew about my power, I was scared, he was... going to lock me all alone...!

Kaito: Lucent!
Lucent: I was... beaten up... and he said I was worthless and... I would be locked all night... at the school...!!

Veronica: I-I'm not getting anything out of this, but Mister Lucent seems really unstable!

Auror: (He drowned his fellow classmate into a nightmare and this ended becoming reality... Lucent's power is really horrible, just as he believes it to be. But I don't blame him... after all, he was also just a kid... and a victim.)

Auror: (I do remember hearing back at middle school. There were those bullying scum that targeted a specific kid at one class. With all of this, now I know who the target was...)

Auror: (Now I see why Kaito and Reeta were so worried about him. He's emotionally unstable and ready to try against his own life if it's necessary... wait... try against his own life...!!)

Auror understood the meaning of why Lucent opened his mouth and told what he desperately hid for years. It was something that left the blue-haired assassin to actually pray that no one would jump to any sort of conclusion, just so Lucent could have his way on this.


Auror: (Lucent, you did this just so one of us could... oh drat, if someone jumps to any sort of stupid conclusion, he'll get what he wants!)

Ted: Wait, you knew...

Rayla: I suspected it...but someone convinced me to stay quiet about it.

Rayla stood up and walked towards Lucent, but Reeta stood between the two.


Reeta: No Rayla! I won't let you lay a finger on him!

She throws a punch, Rayla avoids it and holds Reeta's arm.


Rayla: Ted...Seal her.

Ted: Sorry about this...HA!!!

He slaps a sealing charm on Reeta's forehead. Since she didn't have any magic aura to break it, she fell on the ground paralyzed.


Reeta: N-No...

Then, Rayla stared firmly at Lucent's face.


Rayla: Listen here Lucent...you seem to have the wrong idea about me. I believe that people should live to shoulder the weight of their actions. If you thought you could provoke me with your confession, then too bad, it didn't work. I'm not going to let you run away with suicide, even if it wasn't your fault.

Reeta: Wha...

Rayla: Just looking at your interations with other people just tells me how kind you are...What would you think it would happen if you little plan actually succeeded? Reeta, Kaito, Lady Amara, Kiragi...The other kids at the orphanage...They would be saddened by your death for sure. So instead of wanting to die...live...live to your fullest, never give up on your life. Make sure another accident like that doesn't happen. If you really love your friends, I'm sure you will do your best to control that power of yours.

Ted: ...

Reeta: Rayla...

Rayla: That's...all...If this didn't convince you...then I have nothing else to say.

She turns her back and leaves the rooftop. Ted removes the seal on Reeta.


Reeta: (I didn't trust her again...Rayla...forgive me...I just...can't think of anything else other than protecting Lucent's wellbeing.)

Xaizor: Of course they would. And Rayla would do as well, idiot.

Marina: Mister Lucent, I understand all of this is an unforgettable trauma for you, but no one has the wish for you to die as redemptions for an accident.

Auror: No one has the right to blame you for this. You were just a kid and you had no idea that your powers existed.

Masaru: Lucent, we're here for you. Even if the world stays against you, we'll stay beside you.

Veronica: That's right. I won't let anyone hurt you. You're my friend and I worry about you.

They tried their best to make sure their message was conveyed. Kaito rested his head on Lucent's shoulder while hugging him.

Kaito: Lucent... I'm sorry. I guess I couldn't help you as much as I wished to. If anything, I...

There's also the tracking field, which I'm sure you're going to love since you like jogging. Some other clubs also reside in this area.

Tiane: The corners are at 90 dregee angles...Is this normal?

GV: Now that you mention it...You're right.

Nanase: Whoa! If someone comes running at full sprint, they might not stop in time and go off track.

Tiane: I-Is this some kind of intensive trainning? I'm so up to it now!

Nanase: Yep, I knew you were going to like it. Well then, our next stop is the interior of the school building.

As they've met the current head of the family, their entire reunion was mostly business talk. While Mr. F wasn't really interested, he had to show interest in the family's agriculture business in order to get his attention and they even came to agree on a partnership.


Mr. F: Well then, you can send me the contract papers at a later date. I'll be sure to sign them as soon as possible.

Bernard: It was a pleasure doing business with such an important figure.

Mr. F: Now then, with that done, how about a casual conversation? Unless of course, you're busy with something else.

Bernard: It's okay, I have some time to spare.

Bernard requests one of the servants to bring some tea. Hiagor finally had the opportunity to ask his questions without it looking like detective work. He had a hunch that Ancestor Families didn't like to talk about inner feuds, much less wanting it to leak to the public.


Hiagor: So Mr. Celest, you're part of such a powerful family, yet choose to keep on with the agricultural business...Why is that?

Bernard: Well...It's because we're nothing more than just supports. The branching family can only support the main one...If the main family falls, we pretty much fall apart as well without a leader.

Hiagor: Now, now...Don't bring yourself down too much. You manage your business so well...

Bernard: It's okay...you didn't knew...besides, I told you anyway. It's not often I get to tell this story to someone I trust. I kinda needed to vent off a bit.

Hiagor: But it's true. He teached me a lot about the world of business. Plus, I can also double as a bodyguard.

Bernard: I see. Seems like Mr. F is a naive as the stories speak.

Mr. F: I can't help it. I really like helping people with my wealth. Well then, we have to go now. See you another day Mr. Celest.

Bernard: Have a good day.

Moments later, they were at the entrance.


Mr. F: So...did you get what you wanted?

Hiagor: Yes...I got enough material to start Igniting the Flame of Revolution.

Mr. F: Good to know. I think I'll actually watch your confront with Miss Celest.

Hiagor: You don't really have to.

Mr. F: I'm really interested in this whole endeavor...Besides, If I'm going to help the city, might as well going all the way through and support its possible saviours.

After touring through the inner building of the school, their last stop was their classroom.


Nanase: And that's that! Did you like it Tatianna?

Tiane: Well...It was okay for a killing time.

Nanase: Great! Good to know you enjoyed.

Tiane: Meh...

Nanase: How about we talk a bit more until the teacher arrives?

Tiane: Depends...do you have any topics?

Music: Beginning of a Long Night


Nanase: Luckly, I do. It happened some days ago. I was walking back home, minding my own business, then, these evil janitors surrounded me.

Tiane: Wait, was it the same ones that attacked the school?

Nanase: Maybe...Anyway, they said "Come with us, we have a nice place for you to stay." like they were some kind of creepers.

Tiane: And what did you do?

Nanase: Since I didn't want my precious body more defiled than it already is...

Tiane: Huh???

Nanase: Those guys where blown away by my skills.

Tiane: Blown...away?

Nanase: They were so high that they will think twice before crossing paths with this gallant girl.

Tiane pulls the compact glaive device.


Tiane: I was the one that rescued Kaori...And this compact glaive device helped me accomplish that. It was in their possession and they were trying to use it on her. However, it's possible she doesn't have those powers at all, since they based their deduction from a visit she made to a therapist. If a normal human use this device, they might lose a body function...Now guess what could've happened if they managed to succeed?

Nanase: That's...way worse than I expected. (That's just way worse than them being shady creepers...)

GV: (Then...those hearing aids...)

Tiane: Just remembering it puts me into a bad mood again...

Nanase: Grrr...I'm going really show it to them if we ever meet again.

GV: Kinda want feel bad for them for crossing you...But It's hard to since they're cruel like this.

Nanase: They'll really going to get what's comming for them!

Tiane: (She certainly used some kind of ability to get rid of them.) Well, good luck with that. The last thing I want is to fight them again...Battles are no fun if they are for your life.

Then, the teacher for the next lesson arrived. All the students took their steats. Then, Geeves covered his mouth with his left hand, then whispered to himself, but in reality, he was speaking to a tiny communicator.


GV: Did you hear all that?

???: Positive...It pretty much confirmed what we suspected so far. Sumeragi Group is involved with the events of this city. Our next step is to find out where is their hideout in this place.
GV: Should I keep up being infiltrated?
???: That's right. Try asking the girl holding the compact glaive where she got the info about this suspected Psychic User girl. That will be where you'll look next.
GV: Roger. I'll do that once the classes are over.

Time passed and school ended. However, the students weren't leaving yet. After all, there was an event everyone was waiting for: the duel between Melanie and Marina. The two girls were looking at each other as the others chatted highly while they were quiet.


Masaru: This is so wrong in so many ways...

Veronica: I couldn't convince her to back off even in class. I'm very worried about Marina.

Xaizor: She'll be fine. Trust me, I know Marina very well to say she won't lose.

Kaito: I believe in Marina too. She's definitely not going down without fighting.

Lucent: Good luck... Marina.

Auror: It seems they're done with the stare. Shh.

BGM: Nighteyes (Umineko no Naku Koro Ni)

As everyone fell silent, Melanie opened a fan and laughed at Marina, condescending her.


Melanie: Ooooh-ho-ho! You should be honored, I'm actually going to waste my strength on someone so insignificant like you!

Marina: I also cannot believe I am actually going to do this, though I suggest you stop looking down at me. I might surprise you.

Melanie: My, my, all you do is bark. I, on the other hand, am more than capable than biting you!

Marina: Is that so? You must prove it to me then.

What Marina wasn't counting for is that Melanie's fan was actually a weapon. She used it to slash Marina with the blades. Luckily, the princess' reaction was fast enough to evade it.


Marina: A blade?!

Melanie: You will regret ever standing against me, newcomer.

Melanie charged at Marina once again and tried to slash her. However, Marina's reflexes weren't bad, for someone who wasn't a battle fanatic like her brother.


Melanie: Haha! I will cut you! *slashes*

Marina: *evades* Back off, will you?! *kicks Melanie on the back*

Melanie: Gah...!!

Almost losing her balance, Melanie stuttered a little. Once she got back on feet, she looked back at her foe.


Melanie: You... you stole my first hit and now my dress is dirty with your shoe's sole...!!

Marina: (Calm down, Marina. Just some more hits and it will be over soon...)

Melanie: Stop being so quiet and answer me!!

Melanie charged at Marina again as they began to clash. The rooting grew towards Marina, as the others watched it closely. There were some who were rooting for Melanie, but those were in a slightly lesser number


Lucent: She... she has good reflexes...

Xaizor: Marina took some lessons from our aunt. She stopped at like, 20% or less, but that already made her more responsive to a hit.

Masaru: Melanie's actually using a weapon, though. There are blades in her fan. It's kinda unfair.

Auror: Considering that Melanie's just swinging that around, I guess it's fine.

Veronica: Go, Marina!! You can do it!!

Kaito: Hit her with an uppercut right in the chin!!

Ted: This is beyond ridiculous...why does she has a weapon?

Reeta: She should at least get some weeks of detention at most after this is over...Does she have any idea that she can easily injure someone with that?

Tiane: I would worry too...but Marina is winning.

Andorina: Still...someone should stop them...Ted...Do that knife snatch thing you did yesterday.

Ted: I don't think I can this time...Melanie seems quite skilled with it compared to most thugs...

After following some directions she was given, Rayla, finally arrived at her intended destination, spoting Glenn and the other members of the gang by the entrance, in a similar way she met them at the guild.

Glenn: Are you kidding? The guy is super famous for being a brutal and ruthless killer. We heard a bunch of stories about how he offed a bunch of gangs in a matter of seconds...Kinda like you usually do...but more on the side of lethality.

Glenn: I'm not sure...Anyone that knew is probably living the rest of their days as a popsicle...

Glenn: Go get them! Make sure to nail the guy in the wall like a hammer.

Rayla: Oh HA-HA!

Rayla: (Now then...where next? Or should I stop for today? I could try the guild...no...I don't think they'll tell me unless I promise them to help fix this hopeless city...)

Then, someone else comes to her mind.


Rayla: The detective...He might know something...Maybe then I'll see if I he's really is to be trusted.

And so, Rayla started asking around about Hiagor.

Despite Ayame's complaints, the cheers kept on and the fight continued. Marina had the upper hand over Melanie, who was getting desperate.


Melanie: H-How... how am I losing?!

Marina: I suppose you had not been expecting this.

Melanie: ... Heh. You have enjoyed your lead, but it's over. *claps hands*

If the bladed fan wasn't enough, she summoned two guards. Marina was now at a disadvantage.


Marina: Huh?!

Melanie: Get her.

Under Melanie's orders, they went directly at Marina. She managed to evade one of them, but the other got her and soon she was being assaulted by both. After the assault, they punched her away, sending Marina inside a tree's leaves.

*BGM fades*


Melanie: Oh-hohoho!! How'd you like that?!

Veronica: Y-You cheater!! That's total cheating!!

Auror: Never thought you'd be able to stoop so low! BOOOO!!

With Auror's and Veronica's complaints, everyone began to boo at ressonance. However, a laugh soon could be heard.


Xaizor: Heh.. hehehe...
Melanie: Oh my, Xaizor, are you happy for me?

Xaizor: Hey Marina. Why don't you show this girl how's truly done, huh?

BGM: Heartful Cry -in the Arena- (Persona 4 Arena)

Marina: You have left me no choice. If you do intend on defeating me with cheap tactics...

Suddenly, the tree that was once normal changed into a cherry blossom tree. Marina stood there, holding what it seemed like a decorated piece of paper.


Lucent: Her aura... is rising!

Auror: What is this... this isn't... Xaizor, what sort of aura is this?!

Xaizor: Just keep watching. Now you'll see what Marina's actually capable of when she's not holding back.

Marina gracefully descended from the tree and began to chant a spell.


Marina: Flowing breeze, grant me thy guidance and protect me.

Melanie: What are you waiting for?! Get her!!

The guards ran towards Marina, ready to attack her. However, by the time they have reached Marina, she already casted a spell.


Marina: Rexcalibur!

As she chanted, a powerful wind current invaded the field. It was strong enough to blow the guards away, leaving only the two girls in the field.


Marina: Enough with the mockery. This is a duel between you and me, coward.

Melanie: Coward?! How dare you...!!

Melanie: I will end you!!

Melanie went once again towards Marina, who kicked her back. But this time, she didn't let the stagger pass.


Melanie: Gaaah!!

Marina: Graceful wind, I command you within my talismans!

Her graceful movements conducted the wind as she was waltzing through the space open to them. For Melanie, it felt as if the very own breeze was hitting her, with Marina not getting close and not needing to hit her with hands or feet.


Marina: Fly!

With a spin, Marina conducted a stronger current and blew Melanie away. She landed on the ground, beaten. Still, she had the energy to get up. She needed to defeat this newcomer.


Masaru: S-She's not even touching her! What's going on?!

Auror: Marina's... she's using the wind as if it was no big deal... through those graceful movements, she's using currents to attack Melanie without the need of fists or weapons.

Xaizor: Marina isn't called the Elemental Dancer for nothing. Ah, how I wish to be in her place though.

Lucent: Xaizor...?

Veronica: C'mon, everyone! Let's cheer her up! Marina!! Marina!! Marina!!

Rayla kept searching for Hiagor's office, when suddenly, she heard a voice calling out for her.


Hiagor: Rayla? What are you doing here?

Rayla: Hm?

When she turns her back, she sees Hiagor closing the door of a limousine.


Rayla: Ah good, I was looking for you.

Hiagor: What for? I thought you hated my presence...

Rayla: I need you to share some information with me.

Hiagor: Alright...but it's going to cost you.

Rayla: Not a problem. I barely even spend the money I get from thugs so.

Hiagor: Still, that will have to wait. I also have business with you...But not here.

Rayla: Hm?

Hiagor: Follow me to the World Crossers Guild. We'll settle things there.

Rayla: (I know where this is going...but I'm going to humor him anyway.) Fine, don't expect me to speak with Nancy about the promise.

Hiagor: We'll see about that.

As they headed for the guild, the limousine went on ahead of them.

Ayame: That's it, I'm stopping this right now.

Miolina: (I'm not letting her ruin this.)

All of a sudden, Ayame felt her shoulders being grabbed.


Miolina: Up and...

Ayame: What?

Miolina: AWAY!!!

Then, she gets thrown over the crowd, away from the current fight. Ayame gets up rubbing her head.


Miolina: You really should stop pretending you're this place's guardian.

Ayame: I'm not pretending...I'm trying to prove to others that I can bring order to this place.

Miolina: That's a laugh. You can't even get your Hall Monitor project to be aproved, much less do everything by yourself.

Ayame: I'll show you then...HAAAAAA!!!

Miolina: So pathetic...

They both lunged at each other, but then, Ted's threw his sealing charms at their legs, making them trip and making their heads collide.


Ted: Will you two cut it out? We don't need another battle!

Ayame: Urgh...You're right...

Miolina: It seems that you haven't changed that much Ted...

Ted: ...Do me a favor and stay quiet.

Reeta: GO MARINA!!! That cheater is never going to prosper.

Tiane: (First a hidden blade...then two guards...What's next in her cheating book or is that all she got?)
