”Only cowards run. Real courage means standing and fighting for what’s yours and for those you care about.”
Name:
Dante Virgil Leone
Age:
Sixteen
Gender:
Male
Height:
5’6
Build:
Slim - Athletic build
Digivice Color:
A dominantly slate gray color with an accent of gold on the outer rim of the digivice.
Personality:
There are a lot of layers to Dante’s overall personality that give way to many facial reactions to situations of all kinds and physical reactions that tend to present a dominant portrayal of things. Any situation at hand, no matter the severity or how casual it may be, draw out a temperamental, often proud, Dante Leone. He suffers from not being able to control certain quirks of his mentality. He seldom displays control over his emotions, which could be a problem for any group he’s affiliated with. He could be the cause of havoc rising due to his conflicting nature and being at odds with just about everyone who might have a differing view of things from his own.
The deeper you go down into the pride rock that is this Italian Lion - a Leone, if you will - you will find something remarkably admirable. His courage is nearly unlimited and, though it’s not often through intelligence, he’ll be the first one to jump into danger. He thinks he’s invinsible, yet this doesn’t reflect itself when it comes to Elecmon. His own partner, that which was drawn to his natural foolhardiness, respects how, unlike most humans, didn't shy away from standing up for what he believed in. Though Elecmon thinks that Dante could dile it down, it cannot be denied they are a perfect fit because both accept their faults and encourage their strengths.
Within time, Dante doesn’t seem all that bad because, once you get to know him, there’s an earnest sweetness about him. A fierce determination laced with a genuine motivation to safeguard those who mean the most to him. It’s not a front or a trick. With Dante, it’s true to the popular saying: what you see is what you get; and let it be known that Dante is not a pretender. For better or worse, what’s on the surface is likely to be in the depths, just not as clear.

Appearance:
Dante’s a boy who has still some growing to do, though it’s apparent just what sort of man he’ll grow into. He’s got a full head of golden hair that almost makes it seem like his very head is a beacon in which the sun has found a permanent residence; and the blue silver orbs that the moon often presents itself within the sea are where he can see everything there is to see. And never is this italian-born man without a handy bag with all that he needs, his trademark outfit that consists of a faded brown-colored beanie cap, a checkered jacket that has shades of blue and silver throughout, a grey, long-sleeve shirt, and a white one underneath. Topping the entire outfit out are a pair of dark grey slacks and your run-of-the-mill shoes that are perfect for long journeys.
As noted above, Dante has a bag that is often home to some of the essentials one might need on their person in any given situation, plus some of his favorite reading material. More often than not, the common items in his bag are as followed: water, some canned food, and his cell phone. A few fire-making materials, but mostly it’s just those three mentioned. He really has to have his phone. As a teen, that’s pretty much the thing he must have.

Backstory:
You get an odd one in Dante for both how he was raised and how he turned out. He comes from a rather wealthy family who took advantage of the Digital Age. It was apparent it was going to be a very lucrative opportunity, so Giovanni and Evangeline Leone knew that they had to strike the gold while there was gold still to mine. As a result, they invested heavily in this Digital Age. Any companies that would try to stop them from expanding, they’d acquire them either through the proper, morally-white channels, or go above and beneath their previous actions to secure their place as Italy’s top business dealers of the Digital Age. And the weirdest thing of it was that it worked. Within five years, Leone Incorporated became Italy’s leading investor in this Digital Age.
And that happened while they were raising a single heir to all of this fame and fortune. A boy’s name whose pedigree was so rich and so pristine that any name given wouldn’t do. He had to have a name that would strike fear into his future adversaries and make his future associates know his name. So, as a result, the Leone’s agreed that their only child that they would bear would have the name of both brothers from the highly-acclaimed Dante’s Inferno. His name would be Dante Virgil Leone. A name that would be fear-inducing and wouldn’t dare encourage people to question.
As Dante would grow up, it became apparent that, despite his parents best wishes, he wouldn’t mold into the young man that they hoped he would be. In fact, he turned out exactly the opposite of what they envisioned for their heir. Their approach to parenting was being as strict and rigid as humanly possibly. Dante responded to this, of course, but nowhere near in the way that these two were hoping.
Absolute rebellion was Dante’s answer to their rigid parental style. As soon as his rebel genes would come to the surface, one may describe Dante as a problem child. Always having an attitude, getting into fights, showing a disregard for his parents’ authority, and doing all that he could to make their lives a living hell; and all the while, Dante found himself being engulfed in this game called Digimon. Maybe it was part of his reason for not paying attention to his studies. The reason really isn’t important, but what was evident was unlike his school and regard of his parents’ own feelings and their molding of him to take control of his family’s company, he was excelling at this game. He took breaks from it to engage in his athletics, but after grades had slipped, Digimon became his sole focus.
There came a point in time for Dante’s life where something - well, for a lack of better words, strange - happened to him. You see, it was like any other day: he was at a park near his parent’s villa and was with a couple of his buds that were just like him in being the only kids of highly-esteemed corporate powerhouses that reject their parents’ vision for their lives. It just happened that they were all apart of their private school’s track and field team. Among them, Dante was their appointed leader. WEll, truth be told, he was the fastest and captain of their track and field team, so it wasn’t a matter of discussion. Plus, they all looked up to him.
And as he went home, there came a package. IT didn’t get stopped at the front gate of his villa nor did it reach his parents’ prying eyes. No, instead it was resting on his computer desk. It was a rather small package - one of those that could fit in the palm of a hand. It was as normal as a package could be. A brown, cardboard box with some decorative things on it. A bow, of sorts, was at the center and Dante received a card. Only thing it said was “You earned this, Dante.” He didn’t understand it, but after he opened it, he saw something that blew his mind. A single device that, if he had remembered correctly at that very moment, it was no ordinary device. When he touched it, it first pulsated, the shocked him. Not enough to make him drop it; just enough to cause him to feel a tingling sensation run through his hand. After that, the device itself would shift from its barren, light blue, almost dull-grey, color into something more vibrant. In the moment it had changed shades, Dante saw that it became deeper in blue and grey, almost as if it was like a reduced cornflower blue with the outline of it being as golden as the sun.
For a moment, Dante was uncertain was happening to him. Then, not even a full minute later, the device vibrated and the colors became so bright that the next thing he knew, he was in a different location that wasn’t his room. It was odd and strange. There he was with a few others holding the same devices, someone telling them about Project F..
And then it hit Dante’s mind. Project F was an expansion pack of the game he enjoyed playing. When it hit him, he saw he had an egg in front of him. A single egg with the colors of the sun and fire going through it and an outline of blue on the sides of it.
Dante was now left with his own choice - something that he’s never been presented with his entire life. In that moment, he didn’t take that long to decide. Only two words exited his mouth as he smirked.
“I’m in.”

Digimon:
Elecmon
Digimon Name:
Leo
Personality:
Leo is like Dante in a lot of ways. They both exhibit the same amount of foolhardy bravery that almost makes them seem to be ideal for their partnership. Though, Elecmon is more proud and less likely to display his emotions like Dante has the potential to be. He’s also got a bit of a mouth on him. There’s often some discord between fighter and digimon when it comes to what should be the plan of attack. Elecmon might not enjoy it all that much, but Dante rubs off on him. Their souls are linked and, though one might be forced into the other’s way of doing things, their common trait of having the courage to do what no man, woman, or mon, would do themselves, makes their unique bond something worth all of the differences that they may or may not have.
