She also said "The transition from in-training to rookie is the easiest. So easy that even you guys should be able to do it.” Which may imply we can be successful.

Then again, Max may not know what to do with the digivice. "Am I supposed to press a button? Squeeze it hold it out in front of Cindy's face?"

@Renny Well to not feel like I'm spamming, I'll wait at least a day before I reply shortly to the idea of evolution. Do you want us all to evolve? Maybe the fact that some of us have clear misgivings with the idea, should have trouble doing it at least at the start and have to be told to try harder. (even if the amount of time of failure is negligible.)

@Crimson Flame The only reason you shouldn't be able to is if you have a blockage of wanting (not needing) to. When the need arise your partner will Digivolve from In-Training to Rookie regardless of the situation. However, Lilac is putting you all on the spot so see where her lessons should start.

@SleepingSilence Go for whatever your character would do. Never feel like you have to do anything lol. Max is seeming a bit disillusioned anyway and he's as challenge-chasing as Dante. I can see how he'd be a bit hesitant to try.


Lilac is already seeing what makes you four special. You guys may think you and your partners are dysfunctional but in all actuality, you all are getting along pretty well. Typically, a Digimon in our AU is very hard to befriend, even from birth, but its obvious you all are the exception.

To make it clearer, your latent Bond with your partners are prodigious. Just like a Digidestineds should be.

@Renny I don't think I'll have a problem. Was just curious.

@Crimson Flame Dante seems the most resenting the idea of his partner. Though mine certainly is still concerned about being there. Though he already feels an odd understanding of him.


Also, I may be helping my parents with yard work Thursday and/or Friday. So may/may not be silent then.

@Renny Is there any special reason these digimon were picked for us? Aside from just general fate. Would it be okay/make plot related sense for my digimon to have a backstory? I had an idea that I wanted him to have lived a previous life. Which is perfectly possible in digimon, usually. (which similar to my character that has daydreams/nightmares, will share similar experiences related to it.) I just wanted to make sure there wasn't a particular thing you had in mind.

For me/Dante, I know his specific digimon partner was chosen for him partly because I really love Elec/Leomon and I wanted an excuse to use him. But also, both Leo and Dante have this undoubtable courage about them. They bring it out in each other. Right now, it's being represented in Leo'e courage to annoy Dante.

I picked Gatomon because I like Gatomon. I like how she looks like a Rookie, but is actually a Champion. She kicks the bigger Digimon's butts.

Hackmon is my all-time favorite now. His design and backstory is A-1 and above all else, I just love how despite he's this fledgling Royal Knight, he decides to intervene in open conflicts around the world, hoping to solve them best he can. He's like the Hero the world needs.
