And i have something i would like to hear your opinion on. My nation would have trained regular dragons for military use. Would that be acceptable. Most of they use would be smaller then normal as those are easier to get the loyalty of. Well so small only a single person can ride on them. There would be some regular sized dragons too but because of the difficulty of training them they would only be used by high ranking generals. And yes the smaller dragons will be way less powerfull then regular sized ones.

I will note that the Vampire Electors have a very open minded approach to whet species serves in their military.

Side benefits may include immortality.

Well if we were sent a soldier as a gift we would take it. We just dont hire them by ourselves unless theyre like very very strong.

I always imagined that taming and riding wyverns required a certain courage and fortitude that your average mooks don't possess. If you're badass enough to ride a wyvern, you're badass enough to join the dragonborn military. ;)

Hmph dragonborns usually ride dragons because every dragonrborn knows draconic and theyre both pretty similar since dragonborns are half dragons. But if you send me that soldier in the rp ill take it. Like if you can ride a dragon you pretty much wont have much of a problem in the military. @Thinslayer

Since I might as well give people some idea of what I intend-my vampires will be linked to a plague. The Red Death-if you're familiar with Edgar Allen Poe, I think you'll know how this goes. How the vampires rose to power. If there is one consistent theme in medieval power structures, it's that the vast majority of humanity experienced great limitations on their freedoms and rights while the nobles enjoyed a far larger amount of freedom in the form of wealth and influence-often stolen, one way or another, from aforementioned vast majority.

And it was so rarely the nobles who suffered from the ills of plague and war, of starvation and cold weather. They were safe in their castles...

Such was the case in this land. Working name is Carpathia, as a reference. Might keep it. Carpathia has always suffered from outbreaks of the Red Death, from monsters plaguing dark forests, and from restless dead. Vampires too, stalked in the darkness. But their ascension to true power is recent-and built on the crimes of the nobility. There came a time when the Red Death did not just scar the land, but burned through it. Many died, mostly of the lower classes. Dying alone in their hovels, or in great, choking cities. More died every day. Drowning in their own blood.

All while the nobles waited for the plague to end. All while they barricaded themselves away. Safe behind their walls and guards.

Safe from the plague, but not from those they left to die. The Red Death kills nearly all it touches-but those who survive, who somehow fight through the disease...are changed. They rise. Stronger then ever. Their eyes burn with necromantic power, and their canines lengthen. Power of a darker sort flows through their veins.

And they remembered, they remembered who had left them and theirs to die.

What followed were days of fear, for those nobles, and nights of blood and terror. Swiftly, the castles and homes of these nobles were ravaged by those they had thought doomed to die. Noble necks were ripped open. Guards slaughtered.

And it fell to these new vampires to rule this suffering nation.

Irony of ironies, their rule, despite their terrifying abilities, despite the dead they raise as soldiers, despite all the black magic they can bring to bear, has turned out to be far more just then the rule of the church and the nobility.

This is all condensed, but you get the idea I hope.

Welp, it wouldn't be a fantasy world without Dwarves/Dwarfs (Which ever spelling works). I might join as gold loving, master craftsmen, Dwarves that speak in the stereotypical scottish accent cause why not? Besides, someone has to think business among us and have a nasty reputation of being stingy.

Thanks. I try.

I might love vampire stereotypes, but I do like to put a unique spin on it.

My nations story is pretty simple. Dragonborn clans used to be warring and seperated till they eventually started forming larger and larger groups eventually uniting in a single nation.

All that said, the Red Death doesn't do wonders for the complexion.

Well.

Pallor is the more accurate term.

So wait, I have a question.....having never done a nation RP before, what’s the plot or structure of this exactly? Like...do I just write about the affairs and happenings of my nation whether they are relevant to anyone else or not? Or is there going to be something that brings us together? Like do representatives of each nation come together for some reason? Or.....idk. I have no idea how this works.

Me neither. However, I used to RP Lego stories with my sisters, and they eventually turned into stories about nations. The way we did it, we picked a central figure from each nation and roleplayed their characters as normal; the only difference was that these characters ruled nations, so politics were a key aspect of play. I'd imagine nation RPs work similarly.

@Blackfridayrule Well it differs from person to person, some people like writing through their character's perspective; for example:

King Benedict sat upon his throne with the ornate table covered in documents and reports, one such paper detailed a recent sighting of foreign troops in a region that was under dispute between his kingdom - Arcoa - and the Federation of Lyria; He immediately took concern and called his military advisers to discuss the matter. Etc.

Some prefer to do it by posting their affairs no matter who or what it affects; for example:

The Kingdom is currently in its golden age, the King has surpassed his predecessors and the country benefits from his success. The Kingdom is at peace, there are few wars, and the agricultural reforms have bore fruit. The citizens rejoice and many want to hold a party in his name nearing his crowning anniversary. Etc.

Although it is preferable to mix both styles, to give a "whole" picture. Like the first few paragraphs could be about the country as a whole through each region and the next paragraphs about the characters and their perspectives and so on.

And in terms of interacting with other players usually this is either done by establishing allies or competing in war and wealth. Basically politics. Politics can be driven by your nation and their description and culture or through interactions with certain things in the world.

I hope that helps. :b <- This is an emoticon BTW.

So I guess I wasn't too far off. :P Basically, it's like normal RP, except that you have a whole nation of characters to play with. You can personify the nation as its leader if you like, or forget the face of the nation and play only with "NPCs." I dig it.
