Vulcan was experiencing sensory overload. He didn’t listen, unconsciously letting out a snarl and pushing Asher away causing him to stumble a few steps backward. Jumping out of Asher’s grasp, landing with an audible thud. Stomping on the ground, as his wings flapped once. Sending a burst of wind past those in front of him, going against the breeze. Vulcan immediately made an off-handed remark, coming off crueler than intended.

“I forgot how fragile humans are compared to digimon.” Piercing through Asher’s outer calmness, clenching his fists but relaxing within seconds. Vulcan stared down the other digimon in an aggressive stance, watching their digivolutions. Releasing puffs of smoke between breaths, turning toward Salamon. Asher’s thoughts were too jumbled, ending up inaudibly muttering a rational response. “Speak up!” Vulcan exclaimed, causing the reverse to occur.

His back claw scratching into the dirt, moments from lunging at Max’s partner the instant Cinderella spoke up. Asher felt indescribable. Sensing a burning itch underneath his skin, persistent yet it wasn’t painful. “What exactly am I experiencing right now? Is it possible that I’m undergoing Vulcan’s emotions...like some kind of Empath? How deep of a connection does the digivice allow?” Recalling subjects that he’s studied.

That feeling disappeared like it had never happened. Vulcan’s mood swung back like a pendulum, in a laid-back posture, head tilted and staring up at Asher. A chill rushed down his spine. Placing his hand over his heart, checking his pulse. The following boom didn’t reside in his chest. They both turned around and saw the blackness towering in the distance sky. Watching the class instructor running toward the smoke, telling the students to stay behind.

“No way! I want to go too!” Vulcan moaned. Asher shook his head and sighed. Sitting down underneath the clocktower, beckoning his partner with a hand motion.

“No, we’re going to do what we were instructed to and wait for Lilac and Yaa to return-” Vulcan frowned, only becoming more hyperactive noticing the pair that already left.

“You’re kidding me,” Vulcan argued. “Someone might be in danger!” Asher was taken aback by his partners words, fire burning in his eyes.

“Someone’s- But what can I even do? You’re still clearly too tired to fly…how can you expect to help?” Asher asked in a critical tone, looking for affirmation but everyone else seemed to be on a completely different page. Another digimon from their group headed off, making Vulcan grin.

“Yeah. I’m no student either! I’m going!” Asher simply crossed his arms.

“Then go. It’s clear I’m not stopping you,” Asher uttered. “Ow!” Vulcan lunged right up to his face, literally butting heads. “Geez! Don’t cave my skull in-”

“But I want you to come with me. I might need you.” Vulcan said sternly, his tone less rowdy and serious. Maybe it was the acknowledgement that he was needed. Perhaps, the fear that acting passive had already cost him something valuable, or the possible brain damage he received from being bashed by a skull harder than volcanic rock. Asher clenched his fists, doing something he hadn’t imagined in years. Willingly disobey an authorities order…

Hearing a high pitched screech coming from Salamon. Asher rushed forward, breaking a sweat. Vulcan clutching his shoulders and riding on his back, smiling. Both witnessing the unfolding events, it was clear a battle had started. Once Asher had gotten close enough, Vulcan raised his claw in triumph.

“Let’s set some things ablaze!” Vulcan exclaimed oozing excitement, using Asher’s shoulders as a launch pad to jump through the air. Wings outstretched and soaring straight at the Hackmon, fire building in his jaws and spewing out flames. “Petit Flame!”

“I hope that’s not what you meant by needing my help.” Asher complained in his head, with a furrowed brow.

As some would say, there was a certain unrest within the Digital Kingdom. First off, there was a booming sound that reverberated throughout the immidiate vicinity. Dante was confident that everyone of them had heard what was happening around them. Without a doubt, it had alerted Leo to such a degree that all nine of his tails, including the hairs on his body, stood up out of defense. A purple eletrcitiy mixed in with classic blue surrounded the little digimon in the form of a sort of aura.

When Dante looked around, he saw that the others were just as alerted by the noise outside as he was. For that matter, Dante felt some unease. It wasn't him being paranoid or anything. The fact that they were just in the middle of getting celebatory comments from Mameo and had just been sparring with each other a few moments prior, this sudden explosion, plus the lack of that Takai(Tekai?) fellow. Even Dante didn't know what his name was, but there was only the four of them. Then, this explosion happened that, for a lack of better words, forced a complete 180 of actions. They were told to stay in the clocktower while - and this was Dante's choice of words - shit happened, they were left to wonder what exactly was happening.

"So, I'm guessing this doesn't happen regularly?" Dante asked.

"Your guess is as good as mine, D." Leo commented, lacking any real helpful information.

Dante sighed. If there was anything he hated more than being told to wait, it was being forced into a cramped up space while doing just that. And, as his impatience would fester, he noticed that the others had a similar view on this particular order they were given.

"So we going or no?" Leo looked up to Dante, shifting gazes from him and the others.

Dante didn't even think twice. With his bag and digivice in hand, he gave Leo a cocky nod and followed the others, smiling at Max about his comment. "About freaking time."

Dante and Leo ran side-by-side each other, being the last to arrive on the scene. And what a scene it was. At face value, there was a kid and some dragonic-like digimon with a red cape. They were fighting Yaa and Lilac. Of course, this was just at face value. Even to someone who seldom doesn't recognize the obvious, Dante could tell that something wasn't right.

Following the others' actions, Dante gave Leo a quick nod. Only moments later, as if with the coincidences racking up, Leo, as well the others, unleashed his own attack in combination. "Thunder Cloud!" Leo shouted he jumped into the air, towering above the other digimon and a wave of golden lightning was sent in unison with the others' attacks.

Meanwhile, Dante looked over at Mameo. "Sorry, teach. We just couldn't stay. Hope this doesn't disqualify us from the F project."

Chaska resisted it as much as he could like a child throwing a tantrum, until he was physically warned out. Chaska gave in and approach the device starred, and then picked the device up. The device was scorching hot but he couldn't let it go. The color of the device began to change to a blood red and gold color. Slowly you could see a heat wave of molten energy rain down the device as it change colors. First the plasma crimson of the red swallow the pink, while the gold beamed through the white dispersing it."whats going on!" as the scorching how device continued to burn the palm of his hand. Finally the device settled and the pain from the heat subsided "ughh..." Chaska yelled out in agony. The device descended back onto the desk, slowly as if it defied gravity. Chaska leaped backwards against his wall on the other side of the room, holding his wrist of the injured hand. "Stupid son of a...." he muttered under his breathe.

The device levitated upwards facing Chaska, a small ray of light scanned the room from left to right. Once fully covering the room the lights beamed on his hand, and the device began open a enormous portal behind it. The portal covered his entire back wall of his room, and it was dragging him in. "No...no...no... no!" Chaska latched onto anything in the room he could grab a hold of. Chaska held on to the post of his bed and shut his eyes tight "This isn't real wake up, wake up now" At that moment memories of his past 3 years rushed his mind, from this moment to the moment his sister was killed. A spirit of blackness was express in his face, his eyes covered by shadows as he tilted his head downward. Chaska looked at the portal behind him and let go snatching the device along the way.

Chaska felt as if he was traveling through the portal for an eternity, even though it only been a few moments. As he went down all the scenes of the past engulf him and filled his heart. At the very end of the portal the little girl he been training appeared in a final memory. This last thought place a small luminous light in the center of his heart, that confuse his feelings with rage and delight. Suddenly he dropped from the portal onto a battle of monsters, He scanned the field looking shocked and baffled. A small white puppy with a gold collar screeching loudly. Some black dragon looking thing who cheeks was releasing a flame.A red beast with 9 tails was over his head with lighting coming from his body. It appear that the lighting would come in close proximity of him, Chaska balled up for cover to hopefully survive the encounter.

Takai's cackle came to lull. He stared at Aero and its partner. Another human besides Mameo and the proctors. Besides the tormenting, Lilac? and surely she had already poisoned her mind with his failures. Just the visage of this faceless girl stirred him further, "More moths for the fire," For some reason he struggled to continue, catching the shivers with his taunt muscles. But soon his face contorted to a furious smile.

Kibo spewed out a line of fire to meet, Aero's green bolt. The two attacks melded before blasting them away.

"Good! I'll need a blazing fire to burn all this down," he shouted, even as he clung to Kibo's armored neck in mid-air.

The two touched down on the ground softly. "I'll give you more, Kibo. All of my energy," he muttered, clutching the Digivice between his hands, trying to crush it with this new power.

Lilac and Yaa stood their ground against the shockwave. Her first instinct was to tear them all a new one. She had explicitly told them to stay within the Clocktower but now that the odds were visible, she was rather proud. The team had never been the image for her, each student had, until now. Watching them all stand together, ready to meet, Takai and Kibo in combat was invigorating.

To Annie, Lilac clenched her fist at her sides. "He's just throwing a tantrum right now. Putting him in time-out is our only option."

"We should go to champion, Lilac."

"Not happening, Yaa. We don't need champion to handle a rookie."

The dark aura around the device sputtered before raging into massive blaze. That aura seared away the incoming attacks of the others, waning and bolstering upon contact of their attacks. From the howl to the stream of golden lightning. In the end it only made the dark aura surge which in turn agonized Takai's body.

Lilac regretted her earlier words, maybe Yaa did need to digivolve again. She never seen a phenomenon like that before.

Mameo smoothened out his frown just for a moment. "Disqualifying you? yea right. I'd say this over-qualifies you, Dante. Your class is exactly what Project F. is all about. Fighting, regardless of your obstacles." Then a powerful shockwave sped from, Takai. Mameo noticed the rising dark aura and ran to group-up with Lilac and Yaa. "That isn't good, we need to put a stop to it."

Still, he dealt with the pain and willed the aura into his Digivice, forcing it deeper and deeper into the apparatus' circuits. Until finally the white sheen on it had begun to darken aswell. "What a host! What a perfect host!"

A fleeting glint sparkled in the distance, an egg of orange and blue hitting the sun at the most perfect of angles. As if sentient it flew around the raging aura bellowing in the air, only to interrupt and quell it with a miracle of its own. As it floated in front of Chaska, a light began to emanate from it, nearly suffocating the dark aura of it massive power. It took half-a-minute for the aura to sizzle out, for the egg to drop infront of the new arrival. Its destiny now rested in @Tsukoreyu's hands.

Kibo had consumed enough of the energy to feel several times stronger than before. He smashed his claw against the ground before rushing headlong to meet the other Digimon. A leap into the air sent his cape whipping about as he spewed his petite flame in a long wave towards the group, including the new arrival. This wildfire was strong, strong enough to singe the earth and create a physical disparity in the air.

Takai was taken back for a moment. He had held so much energy before that luminous light, now he simply felt drained, if not tremendously ashamed for some reason. "W-What ... What am I doing?" he asked himself. Then as if thrown backwards a year, he felt all the hurt, disappointment, and betrayal anew. His neck and head tensed, convulsed even. "Right," uttered the mad echo. "I'm killing everyone!"

Takai grabbed his head, there was an itch and horrible pain there. "Ah! Ahhhhh! Arghhhhhhhh!" he screamed, dropping to a knee. Kibo guarded him, growls falling from his serrated maw, even as tears welled in its eyes.

Mameo and Lilac and Yaa rushed to the forefront, braving the powerful attack somehow, the flames rushing along some invisible wall that spanned the students and their partners. As Mameo strained with effort, sweat beginning to bead, he looked over to his students and smiled. "Go get him while he's blinded, I'm sure he's losing this battle. Fighters! go help him out!" he demanded.

In such a short time and in such ease, the combined efforts that the four Digimon had given to try and subdue the little, red riding mon seemed to fail. This had prompted Dante to give Leo and glance and he did the same to Dante. It wasn't so much one of worry but rather an annoyance. Dante couldn't have been the only one who felt this irritation at what had just transpired. It was as if their attempt was futile. For such a little dino...thing, this little bastard who, by all rights, was appearing to grow stronger, made little effort while it seemed Leo and the others really were giving it their all.

A moment or two later, Dante and Leo bore witness to what was happening before their very eyes. The little dino was growing stronger while the boy who looked to be around Dante's age was in some agonizing pain. It wasn't some usual, physical pain. This seemed to be some real deal suffering from within just as much as it was outside. Likely for the first time since being here, Dante felt a wave of dread and excitement mixing in with his worry for this guy who was likely partnered with the little dino. And, as Dante gave Leo a nod, the two were in agreement, it seemed.

Save for the new arrival who had the worst timing, Dante turned to the others. "Well, you heard our teach." Dante held his Digivice in his hand, grasping it tightly. When Dante and Leo stepped forward, it seemed to react to it. Shining somewhat faintly, Leo's body was shining faintly as well. He stood in front of Dante, their energy and ideals aligning, he went forward in a charge. Each step that Leo took resulted in his body generating a static field around him.

"Static Charge!" Leo shouted, taking to the air as he put his entire body weight into a tackle. It just so happened that his entire body was surrounded by a static aura that, upon contact, would result in all of that static electricity being transferred for the maximum electrical damage.

...Or so that was the hope of both man and mon.

He was throwing a tantrum, was he? That seemed like an apt description.

"I've dealt with plenty of tantrum-throwing boys," Anemone said to Lilac, memories of her younger brothers, as well as boys she had played volleyball with and against, flashing through her thoughts for only a moment. "There's an easy solution." Dealing with boys was always easier than dealing with girls, in Anemone's experience. And for one simple reason.

The girl glanced around and smirked to herself. The rest of her classmates had joined her quickly enough; it was good to know none of them were entirely unreliable. All the Digimon packed a punch, too, despite their size.

She looked back towards the boy, Takai, and frowned, seeing that he appeared to be in pain. It was clear something weird was going on, more than just a 'tantrum.' Something to do with the power these Digimon had, if the girl had to guess. She'd find out later, to avoid the same thing happening to her. First things first: stop him, so that she, Aero, and the rest of them were no longer in danger of harm--Takai included.

Everything seemed to happen in an instant. First, Takai seemed to be going even more insane, feeding the caped Digimon power in some way. Then, another boy appeared out of thin air, distracting Anemone for the first time in the encounter. His appearance was followed by a DigiEgg, which seemed to have an affect on Takai, calming him for a moment before it floated down to the new boy.

Mild annoyance started to grip Anemone after that little show that she had had no part of. Another boy with a Digimon, apparently. She'd have to make friends with Lilac if she hoped to stay sane during her time here.

The annoyance only grew as Takai continued screeching like a madman. Anemone cracked her knuckles. A powerful blast of fire from the caped Digimon was launched at the group, causing the girl to cover her face with an arm, and Aero to jump in front of her instinctively to protect her. Luckily, neither of them had to take the blow thanks to the actions of their teachers.

And Takai yelled some more. Anemone's temple twitch. She was ticked, now. Mr. Mameo telling the group to 'go get him' was the best thing she had heared all week.

"Aero, help the others keep that kid's Digimon busy," she said through grit teeth, barely holding herself back. Siccing a Digimon onto a human, as Takai had done, was repulsive to Anemone... so if she wanted to beat some sense into the kid, she'd have to do it herself. "And keep an eye out for me."

"Always!" her partner affirmed, leaping into the air to launch another green energy ball towards the caped Digimon. "Bunny Blast!"

Anemone readied herself while Aero used his ears to whip himself forward through the air, following up he ranged attack while it was still flying. The girl took off in a sprint, after the Terriermon. The Digimon glanced back, and seemed to understand what she was doing. With a grin on his face, he whipped his ears again, this time to spin himself around violently, building up centrifugal force as he reared his right ear back. "Bunny Pummel!" he yelled, launching his ear towards the caped Digimon... and then changing the trajectory suddenly to slam into the ground, kicking up a huge mess of dirt. "How embarrasing, looks like I missed," the cheeky Digimon claimed as he used the recoil of the attack and his ear to push himself off of the ground and back into the air, outside of the dirt cloud.

Anemone, who had been barreling directly towards Takai, kept her path through the vision-obscuring cloud, pulling back her fist and throwing her entire weight behind it at his face the moment the boy came into her view. "Shut up already!" she yelled at him.

Dealing with boys was easier, because punching one was a hell of a lot more socially acceptable.

It was anything but quiet. Despite his quickness to strategize. The amalgamation of smoke, light and noise made everything too cluttered to comprehend. Asher observed the encounter growing more chaotic, teeth pressed against his fingernail. Struggling to apply what he believed was his greatest strength. If their battle was a chessboard, the pieces would be tossed about with abandon. Except this wasn’t a game. Real lives were at stake, because their opponent was a mere pawn.

“How exactly are they being controlled? Is the manipulator nearby? And why? Is this a distraction from their true objective? I don’t know…” Balling his fists, stepping forward with an determined expression. “We need someone to step up as leader.” Then another person dropped amidst the combat, striking red with a mature appearance. Resembling a warrior descending from the heavens. Asher’s heart skipped a beat. Was this what they needed? Asher felt the briefest sense of relief. A slight smile converting to a frown the instant he witnessed the figure reacting like a deer caught in the headlights and curling up. Returning to grinding the gears inside his mind.

“Come on! Think. What would minimize the risk to ourselves and the digimon? We shouldn't attack haphazardly. What if our attacks cause friendly fire? We could pull back and approach with a more constructive method-” Stopping his train of thought hearing Impmon’s suggestion, and her response. Asher shook his head. “Champion? Shouldn’t she reconsider? If we can switch in the odds further in our favor, it should be worth doing! But if you won’t, I will.” Asher pulled out his digivice, feeling the residual warmth and clenching it with both hands. Shutting his eyes, focusing harder than before when he successfully digivolved his partner. But he didn’t even feel a spark. His eyes opened, looking into the sky where Vulcan flew.

“Stop! You’re hurting my head.” Vulcan called out. Asher sighed, shoving the digivice in his pocket. Realizing force of will would only get them so far. Receiving a moment of unexpected commendation, the teacher acknowledged they made the correct decision. The longer the fight dragged on, a kid and his partner continued to suffer. Giving Asher some clarity and calming him.

“I argued that we shouldn’t have rushed here because we’d be disobeying orders. I had to be coerced here by Vorvomon, but I’ll concede I made an error in judgement. Maybe, actions speak louder than words.”

Not faltering, even while an intense fire surrounded them. Protected by an invisible barrier. Following in the footsteps of his classmates, partners calling out their attacks. “Vulcan, land and focus your power! Give it everything you got!” Asher exclaimed in the boldest tone, surprising himself. Vulcan smirked.

“Now those are orders I’ll follow.” Plummeting to the ground with impact, leaving an impression in the earth. Getting incredibly close to Hackmon, wing folded with heightened stance. Several attacks zipping past, barely avoiding his own allies attacks. Inhaling, the flames growing in intensity. With every intention to be the finishing blow. Vulcan swung his head back and forward. “Petit Flame!” The flames took form, making its aim precise, hurling toward the digimon.

Everything happened so fast. Attacks were thrown about left and right, but nothing seemed like it was successful. Takai and his Digimon were standing there as if nothing had happened. Max frowned. This always looks easier on TV. What were they supposed to do now? Try again?

Meanwhile, the caped Digimon seemed to be growing stronger, while the boy flashed back and forth between being in pain, and confusion. Max felt bad for him. Technically, he was there enemy at that moment, but he was clearly going through something serious. He couldn't even imagine what he was feeling right now.

And then another boy with his own egg, seemingly fell out of the sky. So many boys here. This would be heaven if any of them were actually of age... Though, this guy did look a bit older than the other guys here...

Meanwhile, they were surrounded by a large fire. Some type of invisible wall was protecting them, but it was still hot as hell out here. "Ok Cindy I guess we have no choice. We have to fight harder!"

"You got it." At this, the Salamon jumped up, and prepared to unleash a barrage of rapid punches. "Petty Punch!"

Max hoped everything would be ok after this fight was over.

Chaska starred as the orange and blue egg emanating light, which swallowed his entire being. The light was blinding and pure, suffocating the darkness; Chaska's pain began to evaporate slowly. As he looked all round him, it appeared as if it connected him somewhere else somewhere, somewhere empty. Chaska wondered where he was. "Where am i? Chaska thought out loud. "You're safe." a soft voice replied. "This is a place of peace to protect you from the pandemonium of the world."

Chaska folded his legs and sat on the floor, pulled out his digivice. The digivice was warm to the touch and started to glow, the light gave clarity to the orange and blue egg. The egg floated in front of Chaska and rotated very slowly on its axis. From the egg was that voice again "I am your digimon, your wish, goals, and desires are mines to make happened.""So you're some type of genie?"

The voice in the egg chuckled and answered Chaska,"No, Digimon are monsters living in the "Digital World", a parallel universe that originated from Earth's various communication networks. In many incarnations, Digimon are raised by humans called "Digidestined" or "Tamers" and they team up to defeat evil Digimon and human villains who are trying to destroy the fabric of the Digital world."

"And I'am suppose to be this digidestined? I'm sorry for your trouble but I have no intentions on teaming up or defeating any evil." Chaska stood straight up, looking upward and brushing off his pants as he walked off "So what is it that you plan on doing?"

The egg began to shine brighter. "This is your moment, what happens after moments like this can mean the difference between you living a life you can’t stand and you living a life you love. I think you messed up but mistakes don't define you. Hold yourself accountable, acknowledge your mistakes." From the light a Botamon appeared, On the surface of its jet-fuzzed body were cool yellow orbs. Botamon bounced after Chaska. Darkness began to leak from Chaska hands creating a dark puddle which evaporated into a dark cloud. "Shut up! An invisible force pushed Botamon across the void until he wasn't visible; shadows had begun to encroach around him. The light thrust back through the darkness as a new monster flew across the air, head-butting Chaska from behind. This digimon was appeared to have shed the fuzz covering its surface, and whose body grew even bigger, it was Koromon. Chaska fell forward as the impact knocked him off balance. The dark cloud began to create lighting and thunder as Chaska grew angry.

Chaska raged, clinched his fist tightly, until his hand was discolored from the lack of circulation. Nyx continued to bounce around attacking with frustration.

Soft Tackles.

"Now, if you're done acting like a brat, we must go over your responsibil-" Nyx was interrupted and sent spiraling upwards. Chaska's fist were bruised from the impact of his fist to Nyx face. While in free fall Nyx aimed for Chaska and descended upon him with force. Nyx and Chaska continued this onslaught of physical warfare, for what seem like hours. Dark clouds, home to streaking bolts, danced around them, syncing with the blows between the two. They had no idea what effects this would have on the outside of the void if any. But the void was not holding up very well from the battle between them, it appeared to rip little by little. Finally the two slid backwards, their physical forms was hidden behind the thickness of the clouds. As they separated, the clouds began to disperse, Chaska appeared to have alot of damage. His body covered in scratches, abrasions and discoloration.

As the clouds disperse from Nyx a dinosaur claw stuck out from the darkness. The claw swiftly swiped to the left, pushing away the clouds, Nyx stood tall as an Agumon, damaged just as well. "Last to stand wins and then you'll do what I say."

"You're quite cocky, I will have to do something about that." Chaska stood, bruised and bloodied but with pride on his face. The two hadn't gathered a mote of understanding. Still, they appeared to be enjoying beating the mess out of each other. The two took a defensive stance against the other, placing one foot behind the other. Their knees bent and pounced towards each other with all the speed they could endure. Strong arms raised back for a final blow, as they approach each other the digivice dropped between them. Light from the device blinded them, suddenly they found themselves back on the battle field. Thrown back on the field they landed on opposites sides facing each other, confuse and shocked.

The pain in his head was a surge of pain, followed by a diminishing of sorts. Takai could hardly think, much less cease his screaming. He grasped his head, focusing on the dark flame that seared inside. It flared and flashed hot; Takai screamed even more, losing himself in the pain. "Arhh ... Arghhh!"

Kibo charged to meet Elecmon head on, butting heads with him while electricity ran throughout, somehow he was capable of bearing it. He dug his claws into the earth and bared his fangs in defiance of his suffering. However, he didn't spot the spiraling black-Digimon overhead. It darted at him, attacking when it could but never being nipped by the attacks of the others. Kibo found the black-Digimon annoying but at the moment, his biggest worry was the Elecmon and approaching long-eared-mon. They were the closest threats to his partner, threats he wouldn't allow to pass.

When the long-eared-mon arrived, Kibo had prepared himself for impact but he had been fooled. Its ear had smashed into the ground, a dust cloud surging to obscure the area.

Mameo and Lilac, along with Yaa, stood to admire the fledglings battle. They were almost instinctively working together, despite all doing their own thing, they were cooperating at the very least. Lilac playfully pounded Mameo on the arm, pointing out Annie as she plowed towards Takai. She smiled and wordlessly praised the lone female of the group. Mameo shrugged his shoulders as if expecting the hidden beast that lurked inside Annie. "I expected atleast this much from my students."

"K-Kibo," Takai managed, distracted from his pain by the lack of seeing his partner.

When pattering steps drew closer to him, Takai could only turn his gaze towards it and wait. Even as the pain flooded his skull, it was the wild punch that crashed into his jaw that sent him sprawling. In that moment he found a odd, cold peace in the blackness. There was nothing for very short while and when he came back to, he felt freer.

Meanwhile, Kibo burst from out the dust cloud only to be covered in flames. It washed over his white armor--a once darkened hue but now pristine in its normalcy. The flame threw him to the earth and when he tried to get back up, a pup-digimon barraged him ceaselessly. For the first time, Kibo had a sense of speech and intellect. A burden had been lifted from his mind. T-Takai, he muttered, curled on the ground.

The battle was over thanks to the combined effort of the students.

Mameo jogged passed Dante, Asher, and Max. At the lake's edges, where its waters turned to subtle waves; Takai and Annie resided. He touched her shoulder, "Thank you, Annie. Really."

He moved to Takai's side and analyzed the daydreamer. There was not a trace of what once cautioned him, not an air of crookedness. Mameo crouched low before flicking his forehead. "Up, Takai. You've caused a heap load of trouble for your peers, time to apologize."

The flick hurt but he was beyond feeling anything other than his pounding jaw. Takai sat up and stared at Annie, rubbing his jaw the entire time. Pointing towards the girl, he spoke to Mameo with a ease that betrayed his earlier predicament. "She hit me, Uncle. I'm not about to apologize for her punching me."

Mameo rubbed his head, exasperated with his nephew.

"Wait, wheres Kibo? where's my bro?"

The tension evaporated like the smoke from Vorvomon’s attack. Seeing Vulcan’s toothy grin facing him. Sighing as the weight lifted from Asher’s shoulders. Witnessing two battles ending simultaneously. Their classmate and this other guy that appeared with another digimon, both bruised and battered. Danger had disappeared, but the atmosphere's melancholy mood maintained its presence. Pondering how pissed he’d be from his peers pummeling his partner. He certainly wouldn’t blame Takai for resenting them, noticing Vulcan bouncing up beside him.

“Did you see that!? I roasted their ass!” Vulcan exclaimed with unbridled glee. Asher kneeled down, smiling politely and placing his hand upon the Vulcan’s head.

“I’m glad you’re unharmed, but-” Asher spoke in a hushed tone. Vulcan fiery passion along with his exuberant attitude were extinguished, like a bucket of water had been dumped on him. His child-like grimace letting out a humph, turning away to conceal a pout. Vulcan’s stubby tail flicking like an annoyed cat.

“Try to chill a little...Ya don’t have to tell me.” Asher allowed Vulcan to storm off toward Anemone and Terriermon.

“Might be wise to let him blow off steam.” Asher thought, disregarding the accidental pun. He still couldn’t help himself from observing his partner’s actions. “I just hope the instructors know what happened, so we never have to do that again...”

“Good fighting Aero! I was impressed by your speed. Maybe not quite impactful as myself.” Vulcan commented getting closer, grinning then looking at Anemone. “I was starting to think all humans were spineless. But you’re actually pretty tough!” Sounding sincere in his compliment, despite being a double edge sword. Potentially coming across as condescending, at least it had nothing to do with her gender. “You ran up and were like-Boom! Jumping up and doing an uppercut, mimicking her serious expression and assault.

“Gee, thanks for thinking so highly of me.”

Dante had no words for what had just transpired before him. In a matter of moments, much to his surprise, a sequence of events unraveled before him, Leo, and the others. First off, the electricity emitted from Leo's Static Tackle was enough to light up a small neighborhood, though that was just the start of it. then, the other Digimon made their move as they contributed to the end result of what seemed like Tekai's snapping back to reality. however, what was even more amazing wasn't that he was seemingly back. No, it was more how he was brought back to Planet Mon.

"That's certainly one way to knock some sense back into him," Dante's joke wasn't well received by Leo, who scowled at him, showing a displeasure for Dante's ill-timed humor.

But, as Leo would look over towards Tekai and Dante did as well, taking notice to Annie's fist. When it was all said and done, the oldest trick in the book really was the way to go. And, as to be expected, praise went all-around. Even Dante would get in on the action. "Nice punch!" Dante gave her a thumbs up, though whether it was a welcomed gesture was still left to be decided.

A few moments passed and Dante's eyes fell upon the visage of Tekai. He knew this goggle head was back to normal (whatever that might be), but something about the way he was acting still didn't rub him the right way. Dante wasn't always one to be paranoid about such things, but given the way he was acting compared to how he was now, it gave Dante a legit reason to be cautious.

"Still don't get what makes him so special." Dante mused, appearing jealous by the special attention Mameo was giving him.

Leo looked up at Dante, hopping on the boy's back, finding a place on his shoulder. He wasn't as heavy as he appeared to be.

Dante joined the others by the lake, taking a seat a few feet away from the group. He wasn't isolated from them per-se, but as his eyes went over to Tekai, glaring at the goggle-wearing male. No matter what the relation to their teacher was, Dante wasn't about to let his guard down. He didn't trust him one bit. In a manner of speaking, Dante gave him the 'I've got my eye on you' look.

Cinderella punched the caped Digimon while it was down, appearing to literally knock some sense into it. "Whoo! Take that! And that! And some of these!" The Digimon was now curled up on the ground in obvious pain.

"Ok Cindy, you made your point." Max covered his mouth, and stiffled a giggle.

Cinderella landed on all fours after she finished her attack. Everybody attacked the kid and his Digimon, and the possessed boycame back to reality. What really seemed to do the job was Annie punching him. Both Max and Cinderella cringed a little at the sight of it. He probably wouldn't appreciate that when he came to.

Cinderella jumped on Max's shoulder, and he joined the others at the lake. Everyone else seemed to be doing their own thing, The first thing Max did was approach the goggle wearing kid, and gave him a hug. Sure, he barely knew the guy, but he certainly looked like he could use it, especially after what they had gone through earlier. "Hi! You've probably been through hell today. Max said before letting him go. "Sorry for... all of that. You were kind of evil for a minute. What were we had to defend ourselves, ya know? Hopefully, we can be friends! Name's Max. The puppy on my shoulder is Cinderella.

Cinderella then felt the need to chime in. "I'm not a puppy! I'm a Salamon. Get it right!

"Right... Anyway, uh... Your friend took a lot of hits earlier... I hope he'll be ok..." Max's eyes narrowed. The Digimon was obviously hurt, and he couldn't help but wonder how exactly one treats an injured Digimon.

Nyx stood watching Chaska, as he stood up scowled at Nyx and brushed off his clothes slowly. Tension began to build between the two of them all over again, as they started to walk to each other. A reflection of light hit their eyes at perfect angle to seize their attention. The lake was glimmering in the callow light of dawn. Local legend had it that a giant digimon hand had scooped out a gash of rock aeons ago. Then a great heap of argent-silver was molded and poured into it, hemmed in by precipitous hills.

A broad span of Tuscany-blue sky was slashed above it, making it appear like nature’s amphitheater. The hollowness of the valley magnified all sounds, from burbling streams to the bumble of flymon. The visage of the lake was veneer-clear and tranquil, flanked by an avenue of cedar trees. Plip-plopping swimmon caused concentric rings to puff out and disappear as the air hummed all around us. A phalanx of flies was patrolling the water’s edge, called into service by the heaven-filtering light.

The water had a peaty texture, but pools of molten gold lay naked in the light. At the bottom, smooth-edged stones glowed amber with a witchery uncommon to the modern world. On impulse Chaska ran towards the lake, reached down and sipped from the stream. Nyx followed Chaska and watched him as he drink the lake water, savoring every last drop. The water ran down the side of his bottom lip as he turned to face Nyx. The taste was a mixture of rosewater and chalybeate that thrilled the tongue. Chaska sat on a rock, admiring the glorious luster of the water. Chaska thoughts fell confessional-quiet. Chaska had an alleluia moment then and yearned for a time when the world was young and pure. Nyx somehow was also a slave to the peacefulness of the scenery, all pain, frustration, and fear washed away with the lakes ripples. A small thorn had spiked Nyx foot, but it didn’t break her reverie. The rain-winkled grass cast a silver sheen and the dewy air was laden with cedar-sweet smells. As if the battle field had awoken all the spirits of the land, and brought it to life.

Chaska "You know i don't know what I'm going to do, but I'm sure it would be easier to figure out if i had a partner". " You have a deal i guess i would help you until i find something else to do." Nyx said as she leaned on a near by paradise green tree, the ground was crinkly be neigh her feet as Nyx readjusted. The bark of the trees felt like frozen, bubbled soup to Nyx back. With a sigh, Chaska and Nyx got up forged their way onward. It was a place with an eldritch beauty all of its own. Chaska and Nyx resolved to return one day to this halcyon paradise.
