@Thinslayer Yeah, that works. If she was a Sota and had done that stuff, she'd probably be executed, so we could say she was extremely high in the ranks of Eija (since Taja are always men). Maybe Kaija knows something of who betrayed her, but keeps the information to herself in case she wants to use it as leverage someday?
I dig that. I'll think of ways to expand on this.

Also just so that you understand, marring an Ojih is like as horrific as carving a baby open. Like it's culturally a HUGE deal and any Azurei that saw her would straight up not know how to even interact with her. It'd be like speaking with a ghost, or someone with their head hanging halfway off. She should know what she's getting into :D
Yep, I read your nation app. I know exactly how horrific that is. And that's why she's so hesitant to destroy it despite her religion change. For what it's worth, she always wears a mask and hood when interacting with foreigners, so they wouldn't even be able to see her pointed ears, let alone her Ojih.

She would also have a mark of treason on her Ojih--A bold black mark down the bridge of her nose.
I assume that mark forms automatically? Because she was thrown to the orcs right after being stripped of her magic.

Nope, it's a tattoo, put on there by the person themselves or someone else can be asked to do it. Nothing magical about it, just stick and poke and painful as heck. If she hasn't yet abandoned the tradition of ojih, she would keep it up. To not do so is considered falsifying it.

Makes sense. And considering that she *did* kind of join the raids on some elven properties, she would rightly be judged a traitor. Fair enough.

@Liotrent Then you'll get to know Ridahne very well then. I'm thinking people across the mountains contact her (or someone who then passes it on to her, whichever) via message hawk/pidgeon/raven? That way she knows when to go out there and how to prepare. As long as Dunfender is not strongly allied with Fellmore, perhaps they and Azurei could have a sort of working relationship. Either as actual allies or as neutral but mutually beneficial entities.

Actually, considering dwarves are typically the crafty type (I assume yours are, yes?) They might have a decent relationship considering Azurei is known for its silver, and maybe some semi-precious stone like carnelian, or coastal finds like abalone or mother of pearl.

If that's the case I have a feeling we'll get along nicely! The Dwarves are willing to craft and build anything of your liking as long as they are compensated well! Food supplies or other precious materials are all good points of trade.

In terms of our country's actual relationship, it depends on how you treat and interact with the merchants and how they broadcast their culture. My dwarves are obsessed with crafting, so much so that some of the things they make are so well decorated that you could swear it was catching light; it's also why their buildings last much longer because they are so well engineered.

In terms of Fantasy it's a stereotype that dwarves and elves don't get along, but again, different fantasy setting (Also the reason why I don't have dragon slayers - because they haven't actually encountered dragons yet).

I have just been informed that my long shifts will last into the foreseeable future. I was not warned about this.

My deepest apologies but my participation in this rp is no longer tenable. For hopefully obvious reasons.

@Ophidian ok then, sorry to hear that. Good luck with your job.

I'll open the RP again and hope we get a new 12th, if not I'll dig up a nation and join myself.

Nah I'd just like to see if we can find another person before we start, might as well since we are still waiting on a few of the current people.

Dang straight we are. Go hawks!

Alright I’m done nerding our about my homeland. Do we really need another? I mean 12 is an astronomical number in my mind. Granted I typically do 1x1’s so this is all new to me. Not that it matters much either way, personally. You do what floats your boat yo.

@Liotrent seeing as how Azurei is not typical of most fantasy elves, I see no reason to be overly stereotypical. I mean, someone’s Gotta buy their silver.

I like the idea of a sort of tense relationship though, like everything is good.....for now. Depending on how they treat each other, that might change. Kaija is a fickle beast. Heheh.

Well Dwarves are thick skinned when it comes to words, they're stubborn but pragmatic, they have to be if they want to trade. I can't wait to interact with your people.

@Drunken Conquistador looks great, could you just clarify for me who these mighty children and the golden king are, are they/were they human or are they something more?

Sure, the Golden King was just a powerful human wizard who ruled Ifanen when the Island sunk. It's not a character that I'm planning on introducing, I just included him because technically all Sorcerer-Kings claim to be serving him still, and as such he's still the "ruler" of the Eternal Realm, even if the place is more disunited than the Holy Roman Empire

The Mighty Children were essentially what the Ifanen called themselves. Now the name means the Sorcerer-Kings and their immediate descendants. Those wizards and lords who made pacts with Demons and vaguely defined Star Gods to survive the cataclysm that destroyed their homeland. Turning themselves into something beyond human, the weaker ones simply turned themselves into liches and the like, betting on Undeath to ride out the storm, while the most powerful ones (like the ones named in the CS) made deals with their Star Gods (or what they believed to be their Star Gods in any case) to become powerful and immortal. Side effect included turning them into varying levels of insane and physical mutations that become more and more apparent as they grow older unless they actually make an effort at suppressing them.

The latter category are few in number, in the very low hundreds spread all over the Eternal Realm. Because of the difficulty and cost of actually performing the necessary rituals. Otherwise, if you were to try the "conventional" way, you would get a half breed and not a Spawn, which is how the Mighty Children call their full blooded young.

@Drunken Conquistador ok thanks for clearing that up, I'm slightly worried by how powerful these guys are but I think it will be ok since they are mostly keeping to themselves and their rivalries.
Feel free to post it in the characters tab.

We're approaching 90 pages of OOC. And between this and the Discord I am cautionary over whether an IC will actually go anyone if everyone is going to blow their aesthetic on too much positioning and not enough writing. Whether or not people are actually finished with anything, it would be a good idea to launch soon or I think this'll end in OOC death like I've watched so many RPs do before.
