It has been 100 standard years since the Battle of Endor. The remnants of the Empire have been stamped out, and the Republic has grown considerably in time since. They have taken to expanding their reach to distant star systems, intent on spreading order and peace. One such planet they have their sights on is Gamorria. Gamorria is located on the edge of the outer rim, and has only just recently had hyperspace routes mapped out near it's sun, Curous. The planet is nearly entirely covered by urban sprawl, though much of it's architecture was created so long ago no one knows it's history. To put it bluntly, Gamorria is a hive of villainy. There are no laws beyond that enforced by the strong and wealthy, it is a place where one can take anything they want, and be killed for anything in turn. The Republic have decided that it's time to tame this world, and have set up a military base on the planet.
That said, the Republic is spread thin across the galaxy, and has sent a relatively small force to the planet. The Jedi order restored under Luke Skywalker years ago could only spare a few Jedi, and the military force otherwise only has the bare minimum. Regardless, they must work with the populace in building a stable government and curbing rampant criminal activity. They have their work cut out for them, as they'll find that the problems in Gamorria span the entire galaxy.
This will be more of a PvE focused roleplay, with the players taking on the role of those aligned with the Republic. You'll take on missions, interact with one another, and try not to be killed by a strangely omniscient criminal organisation.
Force Powers: For the most part I want us to stick to the powers seen in the movies, otherwise the power scaling could get out of hand and problems would be solved too easily.
Skills: (Things such as combat proficiencies, piloting ability, medical knowledge, ect)
Weaknesses: (Either physical flaws, fears, or personality issues your character may have)
Rules
No Metagaming or Godmodding.
At the bare minimum I would like you to be able to post once a week, if you can't make a deadline for some reason then let me know.
Romance is allowed, but anything sexually explicit is not.
No controlling other people's characters without their consent.
The Character limit is 2 at the moment. If you want to create a minor NPC then let me know and we'll discuss the details.

Personality: Normally, Jaida is quite adventurous. She’s a girl who lives for the thrill and the excitement, and as such quite loves the adrenaline when doing something completely crazy. She loves to party and finds herself in someone else’s bed in the morning after more often than not. On the job however, Jaida becomes cool-headed, analytic and professional, or at least that’s how she appears to be. She just knows how to hide her excitement, sometimes a malicious and hungry grin sneaking through her façade.
Occupation: Ex-bounty hunter
History: Jaida was born and raised in Gamorria. She never quite fit with the ordinary folk. Bad influences and a daredevil personality led the girl to discover the underground world and eventually become part of it. She took odd jobs in her younger years, from errand girl to smuggling, until she settled with hunting as her main focus. For years, Jaida used to track marks. Blackmail, capture, threats, even assassination at some rare opportunities, the young woman had a broad range of what kind of jobs she would take as a bounty hunter.
But the path to being a criminal is a treacherous one. One day, Jaida found herself double-crossed by her employer. She had been ambushed just as she managed to track down her mark to an alleyway. She barely escaped with her life, but would forever be scarred from a neck injury that nearly killed her. When she woke up from a near-death coma, she realized just how foolish she had been, to simply risk her life by destroying others. Whether vengeance was on her mind or she wanted to turn the page on her criminal life, Jaida left the underworld. When she heard the Republic was on its way to Gamorria, she saw an opportunity and took contact with the arriving forces.
Equipment: Equipped with the best arsenal a criminal could get their hands on Gamorria, Jaida is outfitted with gear befit to her old occupation. For close to medium range combat, the ex-bounty hunter carries a single blaster. For assassinations and long-range combat, she carries on her back a blaster rifle outfitted with a multi-vision scope (infrared and thermal sights). Other pieces of equipment include tracking beacons, a sound-dampening stealth belt (it creates a layer of invisibility around the wearer when activated), security spikes and small detonating charges to blow locks.
Force Powers: None
Skills: As a bounty hunter, Jaida got exceptional abilities at finding and stalking her marks. She’s got a silver tongue and is quite able to hack computers to find information. While not an exceptional fighter, she has training in using blasters, but her abilities are mainly focused on using a sniper blaster rifle from faraway. Because of some of her marks were moving a lot around the planet, and even on other planets, the Gammorian bounty hunter learned quite early how to pilot speeders and ships.
Weaknesses: Jaida is grossly overconfident in her skills, mainly due to years of successful jobs. By that regards, it comes to no surprise she thinks she is always right and values little of the opinions of others. She is a hard woman to cooperate with, which is mostly a reason why she plays solo.
Appearance: Valter is usually cloaked in jet black, and silver mandalorian armor that is the symbol of the Reborn Mandalorians group. Underneath that he has messy brown hair, and light green eyes. He has a few scars on his torso, and one crossing his chin. He is Caucasian in appearance. He stands at around 5'10.
Personality:
Valter is a brutal, and cold bounty hunter having experienced gang violence, and trained to be a killer by his fellow warriors, and bounty hunters. Years on Nar Shadda, Nal Hutta, and other backwater planets controlled by the hutts have made him more than capable of coping with harsh realities, and violence. He feels comfortable in the battlefield, and hurting other people. However his pride in being Mandalorian is unquestionable. He takes most any contract so long as the people behind it agree to pay in the end having worked for various criminal organizations, and takes care to complete the contract to the best of his ability as a mark of professional pride.
He finds himself to be snarky, and backed handed when around more light hearted people. He views justice as an made up illusion, and hates pointless mercy. People are either strong, or they aren't. The weak make the strong what they are after all. He views jedi with some contempt but like all contractors he is willing to work with them so long as they keep the situation professional. He has no issues with taking orders, or listening to people though he may not truly care for the person giving them. Though he can be cruel, and vindictive at times he doesn't enjoy the pain of other people he does it because he has to make a living in a cruel pointless galaxy ruled by politicians who don't care about people, and hutts who ruled through crime. He does though respect the bounty hunter's creed as much as he can in any given circumstance.
Occupation: Mandalorian Bounty Hunter/Enforcer, Member of the Reborn Mandalorians
History: Born on Cato Neimoidia his mother was a single parent and his dad was said to be a smuggler he was raised in the house of a rich friend of his parents who happened to be of the local species. Raised in a rather comfortable, and wealthy household he was educated, and raised very well, and was raised to be polite. His life lacked for not much as his family friend, Gundrei, who was housing his parents owed his mother a great deal for her life before she birthed him. Gundrei was kind, and understanding towards young Valter despite his being human. However life for all its perks was rather pointless because he lacked for everything but adventure life was not fun being cooped up in the middle of a rich man's apartment. It was when his estranged uncle approached him as a teenager that he found out that his half uncle was part mandalorian, and was trained under Deathwatch remnants from the long past clone wars. Deathwatch had been disbanded, and been replaced by a revived mandalorian culture.
After considering his current life's wealth, and lack of outside knowledge he decided to go with his uncle to train on Mandalore which had since the end of the clone wars been a peaceful, but good place to train for mandalorian people. Mandalorians of old weren't just a people but a culture. As such he took the surname Rook after consideration in order to incriminate Gundrei, and or his mom. He trained there under tough mandalorian training meant to strengthen him which nearly broke him on several occasions but his stubbornness refused to give out. By the time he was finished training he was a battle ready young man who was granted the right to call himself mandalorian.
He spent much time with his allies on Nar Shadda working for Voja the Hutt, and other Hutt Cartel groups in the outer rim. He bought a D11 Light Freighter from Kuat Drives during one point in his career using it as a way of getting around between jobs, and where he lives. His experience in this field toughened him, and made him sour to the way of kindness, and mercy. People had to do what they did out here, and he learned to accept contracts as they came. Eventually however as turf wars flared up in the outer rim between hutts he worked for he decided to make it over to New Republic space where he earned a contract with the military there to be sent on missions. He was open about his work with the hutts but always insisted he was nothing but than an enforcer making his living. His skills spoke for themselves, and he has been assigned over parts of Republic space since there working for them less than a year but proving himself an adequate resource for taking out VIP targets as a sort of government sponsored bounty hunter.
Equipment: Wrist Gauntlets (had interchangeable parts that he can swap out. A mini-rocket launcher, a lasso feature to tie up opponents, a blade attachment that protrudes a knife sized vibroblade, and a dart launcher), A modified DT-12 Heavy Blaster Pistol (better recoil), and a E-11D blaster rifle. Mandalorian Durasteel armor with a visor that acts as night vision, and targeting device. A standard low altitude jetpack.
Skills: Rifle, Pistol Heavy blaster, Explosives, and Melee/hand to hand proficiency. Survivalist training. Medical knowledge. Piloting (about average level). Jetpack training. Hacking (he can hack into common computers, and security systems picked up during time with hutts).
Weaknesses: Lack of protection against lightsaber/force foes, lacks proper melee weapons, lack of sniper training having proved his worth as a guard, and hutt enforcer. Lacks high tech equipment much of what he has is black market goods. Lacks droid repair, and overall mechanical knowledge he has a basic understand in order to keep his starship working. Little star fighter training. Poor knowledge of the force, and its methods (he knows just enough to kill a jedi as taught by his instructors over the years extensive, or more complicated rituals are beyond him.)
Oh, this is going to be fun. I was going to bring my favourite pair of Mercenaries into this RP, but all things considered, I think it'd be more fun to play a pair of Jedi I have been mucking about with in my head. Especially considering a proper Honour-warrior Mando in the party.
One's from the Pacifist Mandolorian faction. You will be scum in her eyes.
Appearance: Wes’s physique is a curious mix between sedentary pilot and professional Smashball player, earned from a lifetime of zero cardio and poor diet mixed with anaerobic workouts. Wes is certainly large, but his muscles lack the definition of a seasoned warrior thanks to his love of junk food; much like a seal, a persistent layer of fat encompasses his body. It seems no matter how often he shaves, a certain amount of stubble remains on Wes’ face, and the battle against his furry chest was lost long ago. His back is raked with brutal, raised scars, about three feet long, likely from some form of torture; the rest of his skin is flecked with the occasional scar, but nothing major.
Personality: Bombastic, hyperbolic, and a bit of a liar, Wes imagines himself as the hero of the galaxy, but he's really just another scoundrel with an inflated ego. That isn't to say he's all bad; as far as smugglers go, Wes is up there with the more friendly ones. Sure, he breaks the law, but that comes with the job. To date, he hasn't killed anyone (on purpose, anyways), and while he would if needed, Wes would much rather knock them unconscious or simply run away. He has a soft spot for the struggling and weak in the galaxy, going out of his way sometimes to help them, though he finds ways to justify it as "personal gain" to maintain a tough-guy exterior. Still, his ego gets the better of him, and Wes loves exaggerating his exploits. Tell the same story enough times, and it ends up being a fleet of pirates you escape rather than two ships. These tales become increasingly tall when there's a female presence, since Wes will do almost anything to win over the opposite sex, to a fault. It may seem that Wes is pretty overconfident, perhaps even arrogant, and that's because he is.
Wes is pretty aimless in his life, seeking mostly pay and pleasure. His head tends to be in the clouds, and his current "life goal" (if you could call it that) is to get his damn ship back from the pirates that stole it; working for the Republic is just a means to an end. He doesn't fight for any real cause, and doesn't believe in much save for himself. He can be trusting, but prefers to keep strangers at arms length, unless he's had a couple drinks. The pilot won't warm up to you immediately, but he certainly won't throw a fellow scoundrel to the wolves once a bond is established.
History: Wes was born on Corellia to two brilliant scientists working for the Corellian Engineering Corporation. Unfortunately, their brilliance was not passed down to their only son, as they quickly discovered from his less-than-stellar performance in school. It became apparent that Wes was much more interested in girls, exploring, and flying star ships than actually designing them. So, once he was of age, Wes’ parents sent him off to the flight school for the Republic Navy, where he promptly flunked out. “No focus” the instructors said. It didn’t take long for another pathway to open up for Wes though, working aboard a dingy cargo freighter, The Lucky Loth, under a shady Devaronian captain named Jacqisa. The Devaronian functioned both as his first mentor and first love, but the older woman saw 16-year-old Wes as a ship boy rather than an equal. He worked hard on her ship, motivated mostly by lust, but nevertheless the young spacer learned the foundations of piloting a freighter. As he grew older, Wes saw Jacqisa as less of a muse and more of a partner, especially once she offered him a position as her first mate. This lasted a few years before Jacqisa retired, selling the freighter to him. At a discount, of course.
Now the captain of his own starship, Wes began shipping and smuggling goods with his own protégé, a Twi’lek man named Loreher. The Twi’lek was significantly older than Wes and lacked any real spacing experience, but was undergoing something of a midlife crisis, so Wes took him aboard. The two kept this up for many years, getting into their fair share of trouble, but all good things must come to an end. Loreher ended up “settling down” after discovering a seemingly innocent fling on Tatooine had resulted in triplets. A week after his partner’s departure, Wes sat adrift in The Lucky Loth’s escape pod, with the rest of the ship flying into the stars with a new pirate captain.
With no money and no vessel, Wes' only option was to sign up as an independent contractor with the Republic; they gave him a freighter and sent him on his way to some hellhole corner of the galaxy called Gamorria. With any luck, he’d find the bastards who took his ship there.
Equipment: Wes doesn’t carry too much on his person on a day-to-day basis, and even then, he’s a little forgetful. When his mind isn’t in a hangover-induced haze, Wes’ll remember to strap on his DH-19 Pistol and throw the accompanying bandolier of tibanna gas cartridges on, with a knife or two stashed into his boot and jacket. He rarely forgets to grab a few credits, or whatever currency might be useful in the corner of the galaxy he finds himself in. However, inside his VCX-650 light freighter, one can find all sorts of junk; Wes’ ship contains enough heaps of scrap, food, and other assorted supplies to colonize a small moon, and that’s before the Republic loads his cargo bay up with shipments. Of course, like any good pilot, Wes keeps his tool kit near the cockpit, filled to the brim with hydrospanners, data pads, fusion cutters, and other useful items to repair Republic property.
Force Powers: Wes is pretty damn force sensitive; unfortunately, he’s too dumb to ever utilize, or even recognize, his sensitivity, so his ability manifests itself as “luck”.
Skills:
Space Trucker: Wes has probably spent more time in the cockpit than on solid land, and he’s developed keen skills as a navigator and pilot, along with the occasional repair job.
Indomitable Spirit: While far from the most elite fighters, Wes has been in his fair share of brawls on backwater planets, and even tortured a few times by corrupt government officials putting the squeeze on smugglers, so the pilot can take one hell of a beating. He’ll still complain in the morning though.
Wes Radio: Wes runs a somewhat-successful holonet show in his spare time when he’s jumping from planet to planet, composed of his mostly-coherent rambling intermixed with music. His audience is mostly other smugglers and pilot who tune in to hear his grossly exaggerated exploits, though rougher cantinas will occasionally air his vulgar music. As such, Wes has gained something of a cult following amongst the underclass of the galaxy, and can occasionally rely on his few fans to help him.
Hokey Religion: Call it the Force or call it luck, but Wes has a whole lot of it, and if he didn’t, the pilot certainly would have died in a fiery explosion or something long ago; by most galaxy standards, Wes simply does too many dumb things to live, but something out there seems to be looking out for him. The dice always seem to roll in his favor, the blaster bolt zipping by just inches from his face.
All in the Wrist: While a terrible shot, Wes is at least quick on the draw, be it drawing his blaster or throwing a knife. He’s been practicing the latter lately, judging from the number of holes in his freighter’s cockpit door.
Weaknesses:
Why Run When you can Fly?: Wes’ cardio is, to put it simply, pretty awful. Short sprints are painful enough, but running long distance? Forget about it.
Bumbling Tourist: For a man who’s travelled the galaxy three times over, Wes is surprisingly ignorant of local customs and culture. He navigates the underworld well, but that’s about it. Plop him down at a dinner table anywhere and he’s bound to offend someone, though their reactions may vary. As if this weren’t bad enough, Wes thinks himself the world’s greatest polygot, able to speak almost any language, but in truth his Huttanese, Cheunh, Gamorrese, and a plethora of others are more likely to get him shot than a room at the local tavern. That won’t stop him from trying though.
Terrible Tactician: Wes can barely think 10 minutes ahead, let alone create any sort of viable battle or espionage plan. When he does, it typically involves intricate costumes, outlandish accents, and access to heavy ordinance. His plans never end well.
Rancor in a China Shop: Aside from the occasional saving grace from his “luck”, Wes is extraordinarily clumsy when not in the cockpit. Dropping things, getting knocked over, and sometimes simply falling over his own feet is an everyday occurrence, so don’t ever ask him to walk a tightrope.
Luststruck: Wes is a sucker for a beautiful woman. Show any interest in him and he’ll be wrapped around their finger in the blink of an eye; that is, until he gets what he wants, then the pilot will be halfway across the galaxy the next day.
Anari is a lean and lithe woman of 5’9, built strong from rigorous training and years of combat. Her skin is tight and tough to the touch with strong muscle beneath every fiber of skin, often hidden behind her clothing and robes. Her bare knuckles have faded scars, and her back has evidence of vibroblade scarring.
Apparel -
Lightsaber(s) -
This lightsaber has been carried with her since it was first constructed, helping her defeat enemies and render weapons inoperable. The crystal burns a powerful yellow, shining in the darkest corridors.
Equipment – 500 credits, Homing Beacon x2, Computer Spike x3, Holocommunicator, personal X-Wing Starfighter (contains two days’ worth of military-grade rations, as well as one vambrace belonging to her father, equipped with stun darts).
Force Powers –
Growing up learning about the Force on Yavin IV, Anari spent considerable time focusing on a core group of Force powers that suited her personality and approach most. These powers enable her to make drawing her saber a last resort.
Force Push Force Pull Force Sense Force Jump Mind Trick Force Speed Force Clouding
Skills –
Computer Use – Anari is impressive behind a computer console in speed and knowledge, able to bypass security systems with relative ease to unlock new routes and possibilities. Managing and rerouting power, accessing files sealed tight—a couple of many talents she possesses. What she cannot access with her own talent, she will utilize computer spikes to get around. If even computer spikes fail, she’ll… improvise, rare as it is.
Languages - Anari speaks a variety of languages. Simple. Effective.
Indomitable Will – Even as a child Anari’s mental fortitude was beyond that of her superiors. She can withstand Force-assisted tortures and breaches into her mind, making her impossible to interrogate effectively for information regarding her or others. She would laugh at the frustration of those that tried if it wasn’t so pathetic.
Evasive Pilot – In the seat of a fighter, Anari is extremely difficult to lock on and shoot down. Those assisted by the Force have a better shot than more ‘normal’ aces. Get creative before she makes the jump to lightspeed.
Convincing – Anari can tell a lie as if it were truth, even without the aid of the Force to influence the mind of the one she works to convince.
Hand-to-hand specialization – Trained by her brother, Anari is not powerless even without her saber and Force powers. She knows of techniques to disarm foes in melee combat should her saber not be in reach.
Weaknesses –
Refusing Medical Assistance – Every wound is a lesson. Her stubbornness to accept medical assistance has made her stronger as both a Jedi and a person, at least in her mind. If she has taken a wound from combat, she will dress it however she can and continue forward. The only treatments she will accept are those designed to prevent the spread of infection and disease, as well as immunizations.
Loner – Anari has little interest in leading squads of soldiers and Jedi into battle, choosing to work alone for a majority of her life. Because of this, she cannot effectively inspire any who work under her, nor does she wish to.
Lack of presence – Her strength as an agent against the Dark Side is also her weakness. Because she does not want to stand out in any circumstance, Anari works to maintain a low profile across worlds and operations, leaving her without a reputation to make use of. This means that, unless working with forces she fought with in the past, she cannot allocate resources or favors from military leaders. As a Shadow, she does not mind this for herself, but if it came to seeking outside help there would be few she could count on.
Insubordination – Anari has a problem with being ordered, even since she was a Padawan. If she sees a better opportunity than the one presented to her, she will often go ‘off script’ if she believes there are better results to obtain by doing so. While her skills as a Jedi are praised, her frequent inability to do as she is told has led many of her peers from requesting her aid. Recruiting her means accepting that you will be questioned, and that she will always try to find the best way to resolve something quickly.
Protector – As one who believes herself a protector of the innocent, the innocent can be used against her. Her life means nothing to her, but what of the innocents across the galaxy you place in front of yourself? She places the safety of others above her own well-being. This can be used against her, and it has.
Personality –
Anari is compassionate despite the neutral expression she often wears. She often places herself in the shoes of those that have been wronged and who seek justice against those that have wronged them. The Jedi way was to be neutral in most affairs, yet she always saw the angles that made the most sense to her and found a side to support if it was just. This often led her to conflict with those who followed the code by the letter, frowning at her blatant support of one over the other, and led to her graduating from Padawan to Knight later than what she was capable of.
To strangers she is ‘spooky’ and distant, somehow managing to appear and disappear when they least expect her to, but to her comrades and friends both in the Order and the military, she is a breath of fresh air. She jokes, she smiles, she laughs with them—all things that they aren’t used to. It raises the question of what kind of Jedi she really is, and she has not found an answer other than that she is only herself and her experiences up to that point. Not wanting to lose who she is to the Code she follows, Anari balances her Jedi self with what she believes she really is without the instruction she received.
When it comes to facing foes, all goodness is concealed behind her focused stare and state of mind. She works to end conflicts before they even begin, but time and time again she’s seen that she cannot defuse every volatile situation with words and kindness alone. It is because of this that she trained her body and mind into that of a peacemaker who always works to disarm a foe and allow them to tire out before landing a blow of her own.
If innocent lives are on the line, she is faster, stronger, and more abusive than any have bear witness to. She will always do what she must, even if the Jedi way disagrees with her.
Backstory –
Born a twin from the love between Republic Fleet Admiral Nay-Su Sato, and Mandalorian Sardei Vorne of Clan Vorne, a Jedi serving aboard Nay-Su’s vessel sensed the strength of the Force within only her daughter and brought her to the Jedi. That was the most she was told when she was old enough to ask questions, and only because she never stopped asking them.
Her training in the Jedi Temple on Yavin IV was like any other... except, she had a curiosity that was not so easily sated. When she was not working rigorously in the training grounds to perfect her acrobatics or improve her defensive techniques against training remotes and droids, she was studying hard in the library, reading holobooks about the history of the Jedi and the Republic they served. She used her available free time to learn more about diplomacy. She took an interest in piloting and requested tutelage under the leader of the famed 'Rogue Squadron'--the best group of pilots within the New Republic. She took assignments that let her observe cultures foreign to her, helping broaden her mind and body to new environments and social circles.
By her current age, she often chooses to work alone, taking assignments involving investigation and discovery. She is currently en route to Gamorria to assist in the rise of criminal elements that seek to become problematic for the New Republic if left unchecked for too long.
Personality: Quiet. Gloopra doesn't talk unless absolutely necessary, he see's this as making a perfect fit with his friend, Vrerr, who will talk someone's ears off if given half the chance. He has accepted his role in the order as a fighter, unfit for most other Jedi business. He is very fond of Vrerr and even though their philosophy's might be polar opposites, he respects her choices and beliefs.
Occupation: Jedi Battle-Master
History: Born into the Pirate guilds on Nar Shaadaa, Gloopra was raised to be a Black Sun enforcer during the days of the Empire. When his force sensitivity presented itself at a young age, his father sold him to one of the other captains for 100,000 credits. Gloopra didn't resent his father for this, Pirate guilds often trade sentients like livestock, but he did resent his new captain who took him and molded him into a killing machine. By the age of 10, Gloopra was able to kill a fully grown man with his bare hands and was proficient in many forms of armed combat. As he grew and went between captains as they were killed by other captains to get this killing machine, his life knew naught but the wanton slaughter of others until he was given a very special target. Thrown into a combat pit, he came face to face with the legendary Luke Skywalker, who had been captured by mercenaries that wanted to collect the "Wanted dead or alive" bounty as put out by the Empire, specifically the first part of that.
Luke and Gloopra fought hand to hand, Luke had the force on his side, but so did Gloopra, albeit, untrained. Luke, seeing Gloopra's command of the Force spent the fight talking, rather than attacking, telling Gloopra of how much more he could be, what kinds of things he could do, how he could put his combat prowess to use for good, rather than the dark path he had been forced onto. Luke did get through to Gloopra and together, they managed to escape. Gloopra became one of Luke's first Apprentices and soon became a Jedi Knight. He was never granted a Padawan, but this was at his own request, he instead was given the task of looking after younglings and teaching others about lightsaber combat. Whilst looking through the archive's, he discovered the Barash Vow. Those who focused solely on combat and were otherwise Jedi only. He talked to Luke about taking the vow, but Luke wouldn't allow it, the order was still young and he couldn't afford to have their best fighters going off into the wilderness. So, Luke created the "Battle-Master" vow, an offshoot of the Barash vow that would allow a Jedi to focus solely on combat, but remain with the others, not take on Jedi matter's, but mainly serve as a warrior and teacher to the others on how to duel with a lightsaber. Nobody in the order being above being called in by him for lessons in combat. At some point after becoming Battle-Master, he married, although he refuses to divulge the details of said marriage, who and where they are, due to wanting to keep them safe and away from him or the frequent Black Sun attempted hits on him.
The only Jedi business he did take on was Bodyguard missions. Recently, he has been playing bodyguard to Senator Vrerr Ordo. Although she see's him as a grizzled old veteran, he has come to care for as sort of a surrogate daughter.
Equipment: 2x Lightsabers (1 Blue bladed, the other Green) Double-Lightsaber (Purple blades) Comm-Link Duraplast Armour (Under his robes) TIE Silencer (Not really equipment, but it's his ship. He "liberated" it during a raid on Seinar Fleet Systems' factories on Kuat. He had been sent to sabotage a new TIE fighter's development and found the prototype Silencer. He erased the plans from the database and stole to prototype. It has been his ever since.)
Force Powers: Force Push/Pull Force Telekinesis Force Jump Mind-Trick Force Crush Force Choke Force Lightning
Skills: Lightsaber Combat (Considered one of the finest in the order, Gloopra has spent over a century learning and honing his skills in almost all forms of Lightsaber combat, even the dreaded Juyo.) Unarmed combat (Whilst in The Black Sun, he became proficient at brawling, but it wasn't until he gained access to the Jedi resources that he truly learned the art of unarmed combat. He is now considered one of the foremost practicioners of Teras Kasi) Armed Combat (Everything from Vibroblades to Blasters, the Black Sun trained him to kill) Fighter Pilot (Whilst in The Black Sun, he, like all pirates, learned to fly a fighter. Whilst in the Black Sun, his vehicle of choice was the Kihraxz Fighter, but his current fighter of choice is refitted TIE Silencer that he has been using since he liberated it from the Imperials.)
Weaknesses: Bullheadedness (He is always right and trying to convince him otherwise is pointless) Over Confidence (He is VERY good at what he does, but he constantly underestimates opponents due to them being younger than him.) Over Protective (He will often put himself in harms way completely unnecessarily in order to protect Comrades that probably didn't need protecting.)
Name: Vrerr Ordo
Race: Mandolorian
Age: 32
Gender: Female
Appearance:
Personality: A woman of many words and little restraint, Vrerr is a diplomat that is used to her words being able to shape nations and so, although she will not hesitate to tell people what she thinks about them, she will also choose her words very carefully. Born into a family that supports Mandalore's new pacifistic path, she has an intense and deep loathing for anyone who would call themselves "Mandalorian" that fights for honour. That being said, she is no fool, she knows how to defend herself, but will not be the one to engage in hostilities. She is also a medical professional, so, when combat is upon her, her usual strategy is to dive for cover whilst her bodyguards sort it out, taking care of the injured, however she will not hesitate to throw herself into the fray in order to rescue an injured comrade and drag them to safety.
Occupation: Senator
History: Born into the Mandalorian Aristocracy, she grew up within the walls of the capitol city, Sundari. Her family was a staunch supporter of the return to their pacifistic ways, from before the Clone Wars, that had seen a growth of culture and an attempt at restoring life to the blasted world of Mandalore. She learned from many of the great minds of Mandalore, studied and graded highly in university. She had originally trained to be a Doctor, but shortly after earning her degree, her father forced her into politics. Not that she minded, helping people in the political landscape was just as important as helping them in the surgery room. She was quickly accepted into the major political party and, before she even knew what she was doing was made into the voice in the senate for Mandalore.
10 years later, she has seen a lot of reforms, not only on Mandalore, but in the Republic as a whole. Mandalore is undergoing Terraforming and already, one of the continents has grass growing in places. Naturally, she has been the target of several "Mandalorian Reborn" attacks, those who wish for Mandalore to return to her warrior past. She asked the Jedi Order for protection and Battle-Master Gloopra was more than happy to oblige her. Her latest venture is to bring Gamorria into the Republic's fold. As such, she has gone to conduct important negotiation with the closest thing the planet has to "Government officials" in the local Crime Lords and Gangs.
Skills: Medical Doctorate (She is a fully licenced surgeon and doctor) Speechcraft (After a decade in politics, she knows how to talk to people to get them on her side.)
Weaknesses: Lack of combat prowess (She knows how to shoot a blaster and that's about it. She's a pacifist that lacks any formal combat training, relying on others to do it for her.)
Personality: Kaiden is a rather chatty, yet he uses this only in private. He's pretty easy to approach and he does not make himself look strong for intimidation.
Occupation: New Republic Intelligence Agent
History:
Kaiden grew in a smuggler's den (A shipyard) to parents who left him alone with only a note stating his last name. A man named Tremor, a smuggler helped him in life and in-exchange for working with him in his ship. At the age of 15 Kaiden saw as Tremor was shot down, with no where left to go he stole an A-Wing and became a mercenary. Along his career he gained the title "The Mad Kid" for using his somehow gifted skills. Kaiden at the age of 19 decided to enlist in The New Republic, as he discovered his parents where officers and as a way of maybe them knowing his safe, if they still cared. He was recruited into the Republic Intelligence and trained in language, anti torture, gun maintaining and use, computer hacking (Though he was not a fan of it) and piloting for 6 years.
His first mission was a pirate hideout in Tatooine. Using his skills he was able to find the hideout and give the New Republic a list of names of pirates who was part of a bigger operation. He did missions for The Republic for four years becoming a respected officer. He was sent to Gamorria to help with the operations, for him it was just another simple go-clear type of mission.
Equipment:
*2,000 credits for spending and basic necessities by The Republic *EL-16HFE Blaster Rifle, armed with mods *DH-17 Blaster Pistol, Mods in energy cell *3 Thermal Detonators *2 Handmade Smoke Grenade *Personal Upgraded X-Wing (With Emergency Kit and 2 days of Military Rations with a flare and radio) *Holocommunicator *A light armor behind his brown coat *Cortotitis (Lightsaber-Weave) coat, only in it's lower parts due to rarity of the weave. *3 Computer spike
Weaknesses: Kaiden was trained against all of this except a force-wielder, who he knows can destroy any weapons he has. He's armor is weak against automatic and powerful weapons.
Though Matt, I'll have to mention that Gamorria doesn't really have local governments. It's basically an anarchist society run by crime lords.
Name: Lahana Sunset
Race: Half human, half Echani
Age: 19
Gender: Female
Appearance: Lahana stands at a rather tall height of six feet four inches tall. She has a head of long straight silver hair, about three feet long, which is usually swept to either the left or right side of her head. She often tries to hide her padawan braid while fiddling with her hair, leaving it tucked behind her ear. She has a tan complexion and a multitude of scars. Most notably there are marks of lashing on her back and discolored skin on the right side of her face due to a burn, running from the end of her right brow to the bottom of her chin. She has dark lines under her eyes. She doesn't get much sleep, and when she does she is tormented by nightmares. The only time she is at rest are the few moments she is able to meditate and be at peace.
Otherwise her facial features are soft, with a subtle nose and mouth. If not for her sharp auburn eyes she would appear almost approachable. Her voice alternates between just a bit too quiet and just a bit too loud, as she has difficulty gauging the proper tone of conversation.
If she isn't wearing the robes given to her she can be seen wearing painfully plain clothing. She has no fashion sense to speak of.
Lahana spends a lot of time training her body, and it shows. She has clearly defined muscles with a low body fat percentage. While she isn't hulking she is far stronger than the average person.
Personality: Lahana is full of good intentions and poor actions. She wants to treat people kindly, but tends to avoid contact and say all the wrong things during conversation. Being close to people sets her on edge, as voices in her head tell her all the horrible things others can do to her. She tries to ignore her paranoia, but it often gets the better of her.
She's still not used to holding normal conversation, so will either end up not saying much or saying far too much. The only time she can understand someone is when she fights them, as she believes is due to her heritage. She wants to live as a proper jedi, but struggles with her emotions. She knows giving in to anger could lead her down a dark path, she knows violence can't solve everything, but it's all she knew for a long time.
Occupation: Padawan
History: Lahana was born on a planet that rained acid and was home to ferocious wildlife. She doesn't remember much about her parents. She’s forgotten their voices, forgotten their faces, but she can never forget the day they were slaughtered in front of her by slavers. She was captured and sold to a mercenary company. There she had an explosive collar latched onto her neck. The collar sent a shock through her body whenever she was disobedient, or whenever her captors felt like it. She went through what could technically be called training, but was more akin to torture. She was thrown into arenas with wild animals and forced to fight for her life, she was beaten and whipped so as to dull her sense of pain. When they got bored her captors would occasionally force her to fight other people in underground fights to the death, after a while she lost count of the number she'd killed.
She was sent on missions with the mercenaries, acting as front line fodder with other slaves. She's seen her friends blown apart, stabbed and torched alive. Eventually she stopped talking to others as she couldn't take losing anymore friends. After returning from another contract her captors celebrated by drinking. While they were debilitated she heard one of them say that a jedi taskforce had been sent to take care of them. They broke into chaos and Lahana took this chance to escape. She killed the man that held the key to her cuff once they were in a room alone, with him drunkingly shoving money and other goods into a bag she took the knife from his belt and stabbed him to death. Hearing the commotion more of them went into the room. Lahana could have escaped then, instead she waited for the few others that had not run already to come having heard the commotion. She was only ten years old, but unknown to her she had the force backing her, and it along with her training was more than enough for her to slaughter them.
Shortly afterwards the door to the room opened, and a man adorned in a robe stood before her. The knife in her hand was slick with blood, and the room was painted red. The robed man was her future master. Her master saw that if left alone she would quickly be seduced by the allure of the dark side, so he took her under his wing as his padawan.
Equipment: She has a basic green saber that she constructed as part of her training. Besides that one she has another that she built in her spare time. While searching for the crystal to create her first saber she happened upon a clear crystal. When she looked closer, she saw that the crystal was murky and fogged on the inside. Her master told her such a crystal would not be ideal, leading to an unpredictable appearance. However instead of tossing it away, she kept it. Installing it into a curved hilt, this lightsaber produces a white saber with blinking black spots when turned on.
Force Powers: Lahana has knowledge of the core abilities of a jedi, and is particularly adept at offensive feats. Passive abilities or those that require great concentration are difficult, if not impossible for her to do.
Skills: First Aid training - Lahana opted to learn how to deal with common injuries that would be sustained in battle, a skill that was needed as she was rarely taken care of by her captors.
Firearms proficiency - While she isn't a top class marksman, Lahana is well versed in the use of blasters and other projectile weapons.
Close Quarters Combat - Lahana is an expert in hand to hand combat, as well as the use of weapons such as her lightsabers.
Weaknesses: Socially inept, Prone to fits of anger, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder caused by her early childhood.
@Piercing Light Alright, made the changes you asked for. Also, do you have a Master character in mind? Because if not, I wouldn't mind Gloopra being her master.
Name: Vyn'Kel'Ruordoa (He allows people to call him Kel for short)
Race: Chiss
Age: 25
Gender: Male
Appearance: Kel is very tall for a Chiss, standing at approximately 6 feet 11 inches and is also heavily muscled , coming from many years of extremely unpleasant training. He shares the black hair and deep red eyes so common of his race, although his eyes are a slightly lighter shade of red as is considered normal. His hair is always combed, as if he was about to go into a meeting, rather than a firefight.
Personality: Kel isnt really what you would call a people person, preferring to be left to his own devices for long periods of time. He doesnt exactly hate company, but just doesnt really consider it high on his list of priorities, and doesnt really care about the somewhat cold facade he puts out. To his fellow soldiers/operatives however, hes considerably more upbeat, often helping them with various tasks, giving advice on their future missions (wheither the advice in question is wanted or not) and even joining in their Sabaac games. Due to this, he once gained somewhat of a reputation as someone you really should play against, as he has a lot of money and is utterly awful at the game.
In outright combat, he is clearly having the time of his life. Hes fully aware of how tough his armor is, and is fully willing to make use of it, taking on dozens of opponents at a time for the simple thrill of being able to fight dozens of people at a time. And winning. Due to this, he rarely works well in squads. With the firepower he wields, he prefers to reduce any enemy building to a pile of rubble, and makes sure to leave no one alive, unless they make very clear gestures of surrender. Even if they do, he will most likely level a building or two afterwards anyway, just to make sure. He also has a tendency to talk to himself in firefights, even when his comlink is off. Both his fellow soldiers and surviving opponents agree that this is really weird.
Also, its best not to mention that hes a Chiss. He is aware of his race and is sick of people pointing it out. Its not as if he's an endangered species.
Occupation: New Republic Black Ops Trooper- Rank: Captain
History: Vyn'Kel'Ruordoa was born on Coruscant to a pair of Chiss who had defected to the republic 60 years after the battle of Endor. Despite misgivings from some republic officials, they were allowed to raise their child in relative peace, in one of the nicer spires of Coruscant. They both worked as analysts for Republic intelligence, and Kel grew up in a relatively pleasant environment. His parents were often away, but he rarely minded, and began to take an interest in technology. He planned to become an engineer when he was older, but instead, like many youths on Coruscant, found himself intrigued by what was going on in the lower sectors of the city. After a fair few parties and a near arrest, he eventually found his way into a gang. He wasnt overly popular, but they kept him around for his skill with various forms of technology, or, most notably, slicing.
Needless to say, this didnt last long. After a botched robbery that ended with the deaths of two of the gang and the wounding of a security officer, Kel panicked and got rid of anything that might lead back to him. This included the gang's leader, who, after an arguement, Kel shot in the back shortly after most of them were arrested. Returning home, and thouroughly chastened by what had happened, Kel made the choice to join the Republic Military. Although he realised how idiotic his days in the gang were, he still longed for the thrill of danger again, even if that danger had ended in multiple deaths.
He joined, and excelled in almost anything they threw at him in training, to the point he was listed as someone the higher-ups should keep an eye on. He saw action in the Rishi maze, taking part in a daring boarding operation on a Slaver ship that earned him a commendation, and resulted in his promotion to Captain. It was this point he was approached by some of the more...secretive sections of the Republic army. Although he was an excellent soldier, it was well known that he didnt work great in a team. They gave him a chance to act as an operative for them, being deployed in operations where secrecy and brute force may be needed in equal measure. Needless to say, Kel was delighted by this offer, as it would allow him to have the fights he wanted and the independence he wanted even more. Needless to say, it reminded him of his gang days.
After mulitple solo operations across the galaxy, Kel was deployed to Gamorria to aid the relatively small military force there. He isnt perticualrly pleased about this assignment, as it involves him working with people.
Equipment: A heavy assault cannon, able to fire both standard blaster bolts and various forms of Ordinance. It was originally designed as a bunker buster.
A heavy form of fully enclosed anti-blast armor, designed as a heavier version of old ARC trooper suits. Lined with Mandalorian iron, allowing it to take hits from lightsabers. It also has built in injectors for various painkillers and stimulants.
Thermal detonators, incendiary grenades, smoke bombs and mines. Carries three of each.
A vibroknife, located on his right boot.
A heavily modified Ye-4 Gunship, created from a pattern taken from the Empire. Its modifications give it even more firepower than the previous version, although it is relatively slow. Not unlike its pilot.
A med kit.
Multiple scanning probes.
Sometimes a computer spike or two, depending if he has enough space.
A snack.
Force Powers: None that he knows of, although he has sometimes wondered if he is force sensitive due to some odd things that have happened around him. Usually, he doesnt care. Being a jedi looks incredibly boring, although he does like their swords.
Skills: Anti-Almost-Anything Trooper: As the equipment may have suggested already, Kel's entire job is to level just about anything that gets in his path, as quickly and efficently as possible. His armor allows him to take anything short of a direct anti-materiel hit, and even then, it can flood his system with enough stimulants to keep him going. His natural strength and the armor's motors make him incredibly strong in close quarters, to the point he almost never uses his knife.
Not as stupid as he pretends to be: Kel has an extremely adept mind for strategy and tactics, to the point he was nominated for a tacticians post at one point. He does use this now and again, as he isn't quite idiotic enough to run into an enemy base without some kind of plan.
Medical Know How: Hes a pretty decent medic, although this skill is rather rusty, seeing as he rarely fights alongside people anymore and his armor can deal with his own injuries.
Observant: He is capable of noticing very small things in people and enviornments, which aids greatly in his work. The noticing of people allows him to read their emotions and actions quite accurately, making him a fairly decent lie detector. He barely ever uses this skill on people.
Weaknesses: Despite all the firepower he throws at people on a daily basis, Kel isnt a very good shot. He used to be, in the academy, but he rarely aims at specific targets anymore, preferring to repeatedly perforate them with as many shots as possible.
His armor, as you can imagine, makes him quite slow. A few of his opponents have managed to beat him just by running away as fast as possible.
He isn't a very good pilot. Unlike the aforementioned bad shooting, hes always been like this.
He utterly hates the idea of leaving a job unfinished, to the point he may disobey orders if he is ordered to retreat before he has finished shooting things.
I'm just popping up to read the OOC stuff until things come along. Don't really have much to say on the matters at hand. Matt has made a character specifically made to be a foil to mine but it will probably end up extremely one sided in a way. "You're group attacked me at one point." "And? We have no organized leader. And I'm former Hutt muscle take your issues with my brothers to someone who actually cares what happens to your silly planet."
Matt's character assumes that the Reborn Mandalorians are a group dedicated solely to one end goal. But in reality they have no mandalore, and they have no head. They're a blanket group for smaller sub-groups of mandalorians who live and breathe their old culture while still being able to call themselves brothers. What one member strives for may not necessarily be what all of them want.
