"Oma, I am not from your universe, therefore, your rules do not apply."
"I've kept your existence from the Others, and I will continue to do so as long as you remain quiet. Once you act, however-"
"I'll only need one action. Well. Several, depending on your view of relative trans-universal simultaneity. Different paradigms have different answers."
"I won't be able to protect you anymore, Janus."
"Ascended or not, I was never really one for following rules."

A series of bright white flashes resolved into the outline of ships foreign to this universe. Janus had carefully selected each to alter the path the galaxy was traveling down. Together, the crews of the motley collection of ships could ensure victory against the Goa'uld and their partially-ascended leader. Separately, each ship represented a high degree of potential change and a collection of free wills and strange philosophies.

Lightyears away, a massive, partially-reconstructed mothership traveled en route to the point of emergence. Anubis settled contentedly into his throne - Oma was hardly as stealthy as she'd thought she was, and Anubis had taken advantage of Janus's interdimensional rifts to drag a prize into this universe. A fraction of a moment later - nearly simultaneous with Janus's interdimensional rifts - a final white flash appeared, smaller than the others. From it emerged a gray, three-finned shuttle with a slanted cockpit. Beneath the forward window, in black paint, lay the Imperial crest.

What is This?

Pick a spaceship, any spaceship. Now imagine it and its crew dropped into the Stargate verse, surrounded by fellow ships plucked from the multiverse. What happens when a cylon basestar, a CR90 corvette, a Donnager-class battleship, a Geth dreadnought, and a Galaxy-class starship meet? What about when they, shortly thereafter, encounter a new Goa'uld mothership?

You will be roleplaying the crew of a spaceship in a "party" of spaceships. You will navigate the Stargate verse, changing the timeline for better or worse. This will be run fairly open-world - the party can go wherever in the universe, but Anubis will be actively exploiting the situation for his own evil ends!

You bet I'm up for anything stargate related! Though I would be interested in still playing a ship from the stargate universe, possibly from an alternate timeline. If not than I might even tempted into taking the Co-GM role.

SUPER INTERESTED.

Mass Effect in the house. Limit on number of characters?

@Burning Kitty One spaceship per player - however many crew are needed for that spaceship is up to you. Generally, that's a small handful of detailed, important people, and then any number of faceless side characters as necessary. It's a bit like an NRP in that regard.

On the other hand, it's also valid to have a smaller ship with a few good characters in it. Say, a small shuttle. Or, god forbid, a single life pod.

@NanoFreakV2 I have no problem with a ship from an alternate Stargate timeline, but I'd rather it were from an alternate universe rather than from this one. If the RP stays small, I might not need a co-gm, but I'd definitely still appreciate one.

Alright can we have multiple ships from the same other universe?
*Looks @Burning Kitty disapprovingly for stealing the only other alternative*

Also is there anything already planned for the differences in technologies. I would imagine for example mass effect ships would be at serious disadvantage against energy weapons due to the kinetic barriers.

Also, I think there needs to be some thought on FTL method balance. Ships from other universes may have trouble navigating. Depending on the others.

EVE FTL and mass effect are similar ish.. (jump gates essentially) but from Stellaris or Elite Dangerous who can jump light-years at a time without help. Not to mention 40k ftl by travelling though hell...

Personally I would simply bring everyone into one system and only change how effective each ship is. Some being slower or having a longer wait to enter ftl.

I got plenty I could work with. You can have Mass Effect if you want.

Considering Star Trek or Halo at the moment.

@NanoFreakV2 Why, what did you have in mind? I'm not strictly opposed, but I would like to limit the number of ships per player due to concerns about balance and workload. If you want to have, like, six space shuttles or something, I guess that's fine?

As for tech disparity, the guidelines are: don't break the game, and don't make other players useless. One of the fun tropes of this genre, however, is combining unlike techs, so I don't want everyone to have the exact same stuff. That'd be like a party of only fighters in Dungeons and Dragons.

@Sophrus See the second paragraph of my reply to NanoFreak. Difficulty dealing with/overcoming technological barriers is part of the game.

Yeah I want to bring in something from Halo, but I'm going to wait to see what matches/compliments the group the best before I do.

Wow. One quick question. If hypothetically I bring a ship that has a weapon capable of causing a star to go nova would I get in trouble?

@Dnafein ...yes. That would be a bit excessive. Also, the OOC is up.

@Burning Kitty Nah it's fine, I think I've found something else I'd like to use.

@Queen Raidne I was just referring to the possibility that two players might go with the same universe, that's all.
That being said I kind of would most like to use the Icarus from your last multiverse RP. If that's a no-no I'll go with a Farragut class battle cruiser from Elite Dangerous.

Interested. Honestly, it's probably for the best that I know nothing about Stargate... Except the Movie... And that Robert Charlisle was in Universe... And that SpaceEgypt is the enemy.

Robert Carlisle was one of the best parts of Universe. Anyway, head over to the OOC.
