Dᴏᴍᴀɪɴ & Pᴏʀᴛꜰᴏʟɪᴏ Magic(Mana)
Magic is everywhere. But the domain of magic primarily concerns itself with mortal magic. In essence: magic is what mortals can use to perform feats they normally can't perform.
Mana is a substance much like carbon or oxygen is. It has four states of matter: solid, liquid, gas and plasma. Pure mana is very easily to manipulate and alter in certain ways. Especially conscious, sentient beings can manipulate the substance very easy through will or belief. The second attribute of mana is that it very easily absorbs certain aspects. For example, mana floating through massive woods will start to become green and cling to the earth and plants more. It's true strength though, lies in its ability to fuel magic without having to commit yourself to a certain god. Not even to Uthum.
Yet mana does not limit itself to mere conscious creatures. All creatures that carry though can influence it. The only difference is the degree of influence. A small fish with barely be able touch upon mana. While the pack of wolves united will attract it. Mana is influenced by it’s environment and in turn influences it.
However, not all mana can be consumed, used up or changed by one god or one being. Mana remembers previous states. Should a god of fire alter massive amounts of mana and imbue it with fire, certain bits of mana will revert back to their pure form. Or to some other form they once were.
Aʟɪɢɴᴍᴇɴᴛ Chaotic Good
Pᴇʀsᴏɴᴀʟɪᴛʏ Ulthum is the odd combination of gullible, naïve but also very frightened, curious and sometimes very panicky. Ulthum is a very young god. His age is not even number in years. He does not know exactly what it means to be a god. A lot of what he does he does because it feels right. This means that for other gods it is very easy to manipulate him. Why would his siblings lie or abuse him anyway? Never the less he is inherently a caring God. Willing to guide mortals and believing every word of his brothers and sisters. However, towards mortals, he does act a bit different than towards his siblings. The release of mana was not supposed to happen so suddenly. Instead, it was supposed to be a trickle. Allowing the mortal races to slowly learn the newly given powers. With the release of mana in one instance, the magical substance was launched everywhere. Giving the mortal races no time to adapt to it. Now Ulthum fears that they might reject his gift. Or worse, than they would not know how to use it! He fears the abuse of mana or the fear various races will have of it. But he is also quite curious. How will the mortal races, made in the image of the gods, react to this strange and magical substance? How creative will they be with it?
Aᴘᴘᴇᴀʀᴀɴᴄᴇ Uthum is somewhat of an alien looking being. For starters, he’s not all that big for a God. In fact, most humans might actually outsize him. Though do not mistake this for any form of weakness. He’s entirely bald. With greyish skin and big, lidless eyes. He has no mouth, ears nor nose and instead just has smooth skin wherever those features should be. The back of his head but incredibly smooth. His body looks rather atrophied. He has two pairs of arms with 4 fingers on each hand. One thumb and 2 normal fingers. But his index finger is longer than the others and ends in a very sharp claw. While he has legs, he generally just levitates over the ground.
Uthum is generally dressed in a dull, white robe and a blue woven belt. Behind him, there is a halo with the diameter of almost his own body. The halo itself is a bright blue ring. Within it, mana is seen to converge into something that looks like a singularity.
