Welcome to our Slice of Life RP in set in SOL CITY, very roughly based on Seattle, the Northwestern US Coast and Canada
If you enjoy Slice of Life and want a COMMITTED and PROVEN to last roleplay, then this is the game you have been looking for. We have a vested group of players and GM staff that genuinely enjoy the genre that would love to welcome you into the world we have created. We have plans for continued regular events and for an over-arching plot line that will allow players freedom to grow and expand with us and our fun environment. You will find that this game is unlike any other that you have encountered here on the Guild and that is why we think it is special.
Players here are encouraged to suggest an idea or submit a new location for our MAP. We invite players to add to the world their own ideas and concepts so that we continually expand. We were so fortunate in our FIRST CHAPTER to capture enough hearts and imaginations that we are setting off on a second journey for CHAPTER TWO which is where you find yourself now.
Fear not! You needn’t read a single page of CHAPTER ONE to freely participate in this current game. However, if you would like, the link to our first game can be found HERE. You will find that it was planned out and completed successfully.

The Rules
Not scary don't worry
RULES
1. Observe standard RPing rules. No godmoding, no-metagaming, stay in character, and stay within the storyline. If you want to make any major changes to the story, ask us first. Be polite to the other members. You know the drill.
2. Write in third person, past tense. Try to make your writing coherent and legible. Although there's no official word requirement, avoid one-liners when possible. 2b. Move the plot when you post! This is a “slice-of-life” RP, but please try and focus on forwarding the story with every post you make. We don’t want every other post here to be your characters leisurely having tea or monotonously deciding on what clothes to wear. We have a very dynamic world here that you can use to develop your characters.
3. You are not your character. Your character is not you. Please don't be offended because someone else's character was mean to yours. Likewise, please do not carry real-life arguments into the RPG world. This applies to RPG Guild, Discord and any other platforms that may be used.
4. Primary character images need to be in an anime-style. Also no crossovers and no Mary/Gary Sue, please.
5. Try not to let anyone get left behind. If you and another person have posted back and forth several times, take a break and let the other players catch up. Of course, there may be times when only a few characters need to be involved in a particular scene; just don't get two days ahead of someone without giving them the chance to respond.
6. Stay active! Everyone gets busy from time to time, but if you’re going to be absent for a while just let us know. There’s no set amount of time allowed for before we start working around dormant players, but if you leave and stay gone without telling us, we’ll move on as we see fit and the plot will roll on without you. If you wish to come back after being naughty, we’ll talk.
7. This game is rated PG-13+, so just about anything goes as far as language, violence, sex, etc. However, you will need to observe standard guild rules should you feel that your posting is headed in this direction. Please read the Moderator posts concerning these topics.
8. Second characters are allowed. You have to be an active player and both male and female are allowed. You cannot RP with yourself, PERIOD. Please PM or Tag a GM or Co GM to confirm things if you have any questions regarding this and genders allowed at the time. WE WILL BE WATCHING THIS CLOSELY. 9b. Some characters may be "grandfathered-in" from Chapter One as the GMs see fit. Again, we will be watching this closely, particularly if you seem to post heavily with NPCs and not other players.
9. Obviously this isn’t going to cover everything, so the GM and Co-GM’s reserve the right to make decisions as situations arise.
In general the RP is using a permissive rule system, as long as events are not too likely to effect other players or alter the dynamics of the RP heavily. These actions do not require permission.
Events are rough backdrops and scenes and open to player interpretation within reason. If you are unsure about the application, PM a GM or Co GM to make sure, and consult with those player or players who may be effected before hand. If a secret or suprise action this is permissable via PM or discord etc.
This is to maximise creative options and make it open and easy to join and take part in RP.
Thank you for reading the rules! Hope you have fun RPing with us!
Current gender balance
16 male : 16 female
Please consider this when planning a new character. Genders Balanced

The following is not required, but we strongly encourage you to at least put a little something. In the past we have found that when players get to know each other as real people, not just as names on a screen, it helps the longevity of the game. Seriously, please get to know your fellow players.
Tell us about yourself:

Located in our beautiful historic district Swan Songs has been Sol’s number one provider of records and tapes since 1976.
“My father Isaac was always adamant that a healthy city is artistically vibrant. And at least to me music is the most important of the Arts” says Rupert Kingsley 44 who inherited the business after his father at the age of 87 retired with his wife Mandy to the sunny shores of Florida in 2004.
Rupert and his staff have curated a large collection of music from all genres; they also offer great selections from both mainstream staples and more eclectic artists. While they do not carry everything ever recorded Rupert ensures us that Swan Songs is always adding new stock and the store would be more than happy to appraise your collection if you wish to sell.
Throughout the years, the shop has offered more than just albums; they have provided a spot for our more musically inclined residents to congregate and perhaps perform. Rupert prides himself on supporting local bands and the windows of the shop are normally plastered with ads for upcoming gigs or “musician wanted” posters. Swan Songs also sell albums, EPs, and singles from local bands and artists; some these great local selections include Lyclene obscurilinea from the post-punk outfit Louis-Pierre Gravel, Bottle Rocket the latest release from the darkwave band Kremlin, and the somber new album from M33 entitled L'Estaque, Melting Snow Once or twice a month the store will transform itself into a live venue for a local or touring band to perform.
“Newcomers to the city are always asking about the local scene and what bands they should check out” says Kingsley “Our helpful staff are always happy to point those folks in the right direction.”
So if you are looking to expand your musical horizons you would be doing yourself a huge disservice by not visiting Swan Songs. They are located on 412 W 18th street next to Café Clover and Lawful Good Gaming.

The Lighthouse
The story about the girl in the lighthouse is one of the urban legends that roams Sol City, and is the origin behind the restaurant’s name.
Back in the days when the Old Harbor was the city’s main income, several ships came and went each day. The city was disease ridden, and many people had already died because of shortage of a cure. One dreadful night, a ship loaded with medicine for the city got caught up in a terrible storm. Because of the weather, most of the pier workers had retreated indoors, and there were no one to come to the ships aid. No one except a brave girl who lived in the lighthouse with her family. She had only watched her father steer the lights before, but when she heard the screams coming from the ship she rushed to the top, safely guiding the ship to shore. She saved thousands of lives, both on the ship and of those who needed the medicine. Though nobody knows her real identity, the legend is one that every citizen of Sol City has heard as a child.
The Lighthouse has a casual atmosphere, good food and occasionally features live music and bands.

► The Run is located several streets from Light Lane and is effectively the epicentre of Sol City's night life. With every other building being a night club or bar, The Run is a street where people go to party the night away. While the weekdays tend to be quieter, as soon as Friday comes around The Run comes to life.
The single street is home to eight night clubs, four bars, one strip club with various small eateries scattered in between. Given the high density of people and the amount of alcohol consumed, it is a safe area even at peak times. Instances of alcohol related crimes are minimal. Several churches and other religious establishments provide support and assistance to people who are heavily inebriated before they can become a menace to themselves or others.
Security is fairly heavy but is another reason why The Run isn't the free for all it was in the late nineties. In addition the security detail introduced a special biometric ID card. Without one you are unable to gain access to any of the facilities that sell alcohol. They are free to whoever wants one but at sign up proof of being legal drinking age must be provided as well as a finger print. When entering an establishment on The Run you must swipe your card and provide a finger print.

SOUTHSIDE by Pilatus
Southside is where the majority of Sol-City’s industrial business is located with most of the prominent manufacturers, equipment dealers, contractors and the like based up and down the main thoroughfare of Southside Boulevard, one of the City’s oldest traffic arteries. Visiting this area usually means business. Freight trains run the tracks in all directions carrying raw and finished goods from the various large corporations stationed here. Don’t be surprised to find a traffic jam as a load of containers comes from the port or a large piece of machinery is being loaded up for transport.
Light Lane
Light lane, as locals calls it. The street has a small book shop, a ramen shop, and several other local oriental types of fast food restaurants. Most of the eating places aren’t bigger than one line of bar stools at the counter, with a tiny kitchen behind it. The street is highly casual, and is located about a 10-minute walk away from Central Point. The atmosphere is cozy and the paper lanterns that goes along the entire street is the origin of the nickname for the street.
Highlights include the Shwarma Palace, small family run with best Shwarma in the city!

Solaris County Regional Airport
Solaris County Regional Airport, opened and inaugurated on the 4th of September, 1951, services Sol City and the surrounding counties. Established as a result of the discovery of natural gas in the greater Sol area. The original airport, purchased from a private citizen by the Berry Petroleum Company, was a few flattened dirt strips on a dusty plain, used to take off and land crop dusters. However with the influx of entrepreneurs and BPC employees, the airport was enlarged and a terminal building added on neighboring purchased land.
Once gas fields had been depleted in the early 90s, Berry lost interest in the region and the utility was purchased by the Sol City Civil Aviation Comity. SCCAC promptly built new terminals, and with private investment formed Solaire (SCRA-S) from the purchased fleets and infrastructures of surrounding regional airlines, forming the largest airline in the region.
Though you didn't need me to tell you that, you could have just visited the airport museum.
Solaire continued to be a dominant player in regional flights well into the 80s, consistently preforming well on a quarterly basis. Partnering up with a smaller, Solaris County based aviation firm, the company petitioned congress with air traffic control of regional airspace. However plans were quickly derailed with the entry of a rival petition from Pan-American and their junior company, Daedalus. The smaller initial partner with Solaire withdrew from the deal as a response to unfair business practices from the PanAm subsidiary.
Solaire eventually lost the battle for control of regional airspace to Daedalus, and with leaked plans to try and buy out their smaller partner, they lost them too. Bad soon turned to worse, in the late 90s the company had to default on debt it owed to the bank, and had to hand over its outer-city terminal to the bank. Subsequently the property was purchased by Daedalus, who too was hemorrhaging money until that point but swiftly recovered.
Accusations of foul play flew around but no court cases ever materialized.
Modern day Solaire (SCRCH-S) is a shadow of its previous self, operating half an hour out of the city and mainly servicing the industrial estate nearby, as a cargo operator. Occasionally handling budget passengers.
Media & Radio

It is not a stretch to say our great city has the most diverse and vivacious broadcast programing in the continental United States; who needs the complexities of streaming when you have these great curators to gift you with great musical experiences again and again and again:

What's more, they also use a large amount of their 24/7 broadcast time to discuss matters, talk about daily life and generally fill in the audience with stories of the amusing. After 1am to 5:30am, a non-stop music schedule happens, where listeners during these early hours can text in song requests to be streamed.
Current major presenters include: Eloise McGuinness (Lead Presenter for all days, poster girl too), Richard Dionne (Stand-In Presenter, Co-Host and effects manager who appears regularly on mic) and Oscar McGuinness (An occasional yet known co-host who performs and presents on a regular basis)
While the programs listed above are just a slight sampling of the music stations, plenty of other stations offer more talk oriented programs that deal with sports, celebrities, offer psychic readings, and so on.
It would be prudent to mention that the large majority of Sol City’s Radio stations and broadcast towers are owned by French entertainment conglomerate Visionetworks and most the of the programs listed above and some that are not are broadcast from the historic Visonetworks’ building in Central Point. However, with founder and majority shareholder Gaétan Cyrille in critical condition after a life-threatening stroke in late 2016 at the age of 76 many financial analysts predict that his company might face a buyout from major Sol City players such as Vencorp International or Huang Incorporated by the end of the current fiscal year.

Final Round Armory by RoccanIronclad
An old ware house building that Milo was able to get converted to be able to both hold a decent apartment sized living space and his workshop/showroom/gym/office, it isn't the prettiest place but it is exactly what he had wanted and was worth the money he had spent to get it. The walls of the shop are covered in basic tools and tongs of all sizes, the two forges in the build are a mobile gas forge that he keeps stored as a backup and the large coal forge that he uses most often. the Back wall is the only one that has any pieces on it, he has large sword hanging on the wall and well as a few knives set on a rack.
Rescue Services
SoL City Volunteer Rescue Squad
Founded 53 years ago, the SoL City Volunteer Rescue Squad is the active emergency response source for 911 calls. EMTs and paramedics are on call 24 hours a day, working in shifts from 8 to 12 hours. They respond immediately to highway, residential, industrial, and water emergencies with two ambulances and a rescue boat, towed by truck and trailer to the marina. They work in tandem with the local hospital, fire house, and Sol City police force to make sure situations are dealt with as quickly and safely as possible. The brave men and women that serve are trained in First Aid and CRP, and have EMT certification. Housing and amenities (washing machines, a kitchen, bathrooms, changing rooms, and a rec area) are provided for volunteers who want to stay for prolonged periods of time. Some even choose to live in the building in exchange for weekend shifts. From Officers and Technicians to Paramedics and EMTs, the SCVRS is the backbone of emergency search, rescue, and transportation of Sol City. They're just a phone call away.
Name: Alexander James Wood Just call him Alex Age: 21 Appearance:
Alex only just recently started Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT). His features have started to change a little, but not by much. Slowly but surely his face is becoming more masculine. The fat on his face has started to move to other places, leaving a slightly sharper jawline and cheekbones. The fat on the rest of his body has also started to move about him, thinning his thighs and arms, but sadly it's all going to his belly. Testosterone can't help that he only stands at 5'7", but he's come to terms with that. He doesn't have top or bottom surgery yet, but his binds his chest to give a more masculine look. His style ranges to and from everything now that he can wear what he wants. Alex loves to be "dressy", he doesn't really need a reason to. Dress shirts, skinnies, and his Doc Martens are his go to, but on days he isn't feeling it he often wears American Eagle and Adidas. He can go from preppy to a complete lad in no time. Height: 5'7" Weight: 180 Likes: Fruity drinks, shut up they're manly as hell Photography Music Tattoos Flowers Cake Decorating His YouTube Channel Dislikes: Stuck up people Beer His birth name Gender Rolls Zodiac Sign: Aquarius Special Talent: Singing Druming Piano Guitar Ukulele Profession: Works in a bakery as head cake decorator, however won't touch a wedding cake Bio: Alex was born to a Christine and Ron Wood as their second child, their "beautiful little girl" named Taylor. Her parents split when she was just four months old. As a baby she was always in put in dresses and skirts. When she turned two she put her foot down and said no. Her mom payed no attention to her and continued with the dresses and skirts. Taylor went crying her grandfather about it and he put a stop to it. She was bought jeans and tee shirts and loved the new found freedom. Around this time her father left, he couldn't take Ashleigh anymore. Fast forward a few years and she wore dresses when she was forced to dress up to make her mother happy, but always hated even looking at them. It wasn't until the summer after her freshmen year of high school that she found out what transgender was. She didn't think she meant to be a girl. She started looking more into it and watching people on YouTube who were also transgender. Rolling forward a few months and Taylor fully realized she was a he and while Taylor is a gender neutral name, wanted it changed. It was just a reminder of his sex. Alex came out to his close group of friends first and they accepted him with open arms. With their pushing he decided to tell his mother. He wrote a letter fulling outlining how he felt and put it in her purse before he went to band camp. Not the best way to go about it, but he couldn't handle the rejection right to his face. When he got picked up he was nervous to say the least. Christine went on about how much she loved him, but he was always a she and would always be his little girl. He wanted to jump out of the car because of ow awful he felt, his own mother didn't accept him. This lead to years of his mom bulling him at home, making sure to call him by his birth name and use the wrong pronouns. He hated his life and fell into a depression. He began self harming to make his mom's word hurt less, it worked for a little while until he couldn't handle it anymore. He attempted suicide at age 17, but it didn't work. He doesn't like to talk about that much. With his attempt his mother started treating him worse, making fun of him for wanting to kill himself. She knew that clothes would make him more comfortable so she limited what he could wear to gender neutral shirts only and women's jeans. He hated getting dressed in the morning, he hated coming home after school, he hated his life. He got a job to keep him out of the house as much as possible. His mother demanded half of his paycheck each week and he hated it, but it was either that or the streets. It took him 4 years to save up and move out. Sol City seemed to be the perfect place to set up life. He got situated with a crappy single apartment that's barely big enough so he could afford his hormones. Personality: ♦ Flamboyant ♦ Responsibly Irresponsible ♦ Outgoing ♦
Alex tends to keep to himself and is a little awkward. That is until he gets comfortable with you. It took him a couple of years to even show his face on camera for his Youtube channel, but he loved singing and wanted to share it with the world. Once he's comfortable around you he's always talking and is very animated. Alex is very much a person who talks with not only his hands, but his whole body. He struggles to stand or sit still while telling a story. While he's very talkative he knows when enough is a enough and when to listen to a friend. Your character's favorite song: It's forever changing, at the moment Teenage Dirtbag by Wheatus Actor or Actress who play your Character in a movie: Not an actor, but Louis Tomlinson of One Direction. Alex's sleeve is the same as Louis' current one, but on the left arm not right. He also has the chest piece Louis has.

Likes: Animals (Duh!) Ice Cream Superhero Movies Stand-up Comedy Rainy Days Peanutbutter (the bear) Birdwatching Canoeing Flannel Peanutbutter (the food)
Dislikes: Pretentiousness Drug Culture Mayonnaise Dressing up Guns Social Media Being talked down to
Zodiac Sign: Ares Special Talent: The only person Peanutbutter the grizzly bear will let near him. Also, a very good amateur comedian. Profession: Zookeeper at the Sol City Zoo.
Bio/Personality: Sarah was born in a small, rural town in the Midwest, home to corn fields, cow ranches and very little else. She was the third of four children born to the town’s veterinarians, a married couple that were always kept busy not only by the town’s pets but also the wildlife rescue operation they operated out of their barn. Sarah grew up in close proximity to local fauna of all kinds, and while her siblings grew sick of the constant furry companionship, Sarah always loved animals of every kind and spent long hours watching her parents work.
When she graduated high school, her excellent grades and a particularly interesting senior project on hawk rescues earned her a scholarship to the Solaris Universatas to study Zoology and Biology. As academic environments went, it was a bit stuffy for her, but nevertheless she received one of the best educations possible in her chosen field – upon graduating, she managed to snag an internship with the Sol City Zoo, and later, a full position as a professional zookeeper. She rose to local prominence when the Zoo’s famously grumpy grizzly bear Peanutbutter took an immediate shine to her – she became his head caretaker, and the hilarious shows she performs rolling around and wrestling with her furry friend (who she jokingly refers to as her boyfriend) became one of the Zoo’s most popular attractions. Now, she continues to work as a zookeeper, tending to and caring for the animals and living with her brother and several friends from college in a slightly cramped apartment on the Western Shore.
Personality wise, Sarah is compassionate, extroverted, and sharp as a tack. She’ll happily offer her opinions on any subject, whether or not they were asked for, and views the world with a weary sarcasm and quick observational wit. She’s been accused of preferring animals to people, and while that may sometimes be true, it’s a bit misleading; she loves people, it’s people who feel the need to show off, talk down to her or pretend to be something they’re not she can’t stand. Despite her argumentative nature and her tendency to form fast opinions of people, she really is a sweetheart to people she thinks are nice; always willing to laugh or lend a hand, always eager to help out someone in need of help. Sarah loves to laugh and to make other people laugh, and though she wouldn’t admit it, she does enjoy being the center of attention.
