I'm personally thinking some kind of healer at this point in time... I've got a character banked who I want to bring back out, and he'd be a good fit for this, I feel.

Oh. Damn. I had a great picture picked out and everything. Well, if demons do exist in this, how evil would they be? Like would they actually be evil and monstrous, or more like just youkai style spirits, with good and bad ones? Because if the second is possible, I'll probably make him prince of a civilisation that is culturally entwined with them to the point that many other countries would have considered them demons as well.

I don't know, I'm mostly trying to make a character who many would have heard to be evil, when really he was just trying to protect his people. Probably going to have him die trying as well, and then spend the time of the repeats not knowing whether the ones who defeated him continued on to destroy his people or not.

@Rabidporcupine - Well, you can do all that without having to play a demon. =3

That's kind of a shame. Not because I wanted to play a nonhuman but because, honestly, they're such a huge part of mythology that banning them all outright seems like it heavily limits the scope of what the game could be. Hell, Fate/SN had Medusa in it and all.

Yeah, nah, I get that. I just figured the demons would be a fun way to do it. Also, sorry if I'm being annoying. I know I tend to sound like I'm acting crappy when I keep coming up with ideas for my character, and they don't fit with the GMs ideas, but I'm hoping you realise I'm not trying to be.

@Zero Hex - Well, I didn't mean to say that supernatural beings or monsters didn't exist mind you - like the undead still exist. Mostly that I'm limiting characters to humans and there is a reason. For one, to keep flavor and second, you shouldn't need to play anything else to make a good character anyways.

@Rabidporcupine - No worries. ^-^ I just have a vision and either people will accept that or join a different RP that suits their tastes better.

So, how much freedom do we have when creating the era that our characters come from? Is there a fixed history?

@Raging Fenrir - No fixed history, but I will be reviewing every aspect of a character.
