An Idea I've had to let people create monsters in a world and then potentially run into them or use them to battle other monsters. Similar to pokemon, Digimon, Dragon Quest, etc. This will have a simple sheet for your monsters to be made and you can choose where to put them.

Then your characters will start off on a journey with three monsters of their own to defeat boss monsters and collect eggs of stronger monsters. Or to tame them.

The idea will be to have three monsters a team each. The characters you play as will be young, children even. Around 15 will be the oldest. Completely relying on the monsters you use. You can breed and train stronger monsters and more. Any ideas would be great.
