@vancexentan changed up Purge. Doesn't effect legendary skills, like max level debuffs or amything physically done to the char, nor world item spells. Just regular effects like movement speed debuffs and such. The positive effect removal works similarily, removing basic bonuses like the stuff Ainz cast before fighting shalltear. Even then it only purges a few effects, not like 20 at a time. Should be pretty balanced.
Guild/Party Affiliation: None, however aligned with several
Racial Classes:
Kitsune (15)
Job Classes:
Archer (15)
Blacksmith (15)
Stalker (10)
Sniper (5)
Assassin (5)
Ranger (5)
Shooter (5)
Fighting Style:
Suna fights from the distance. Never getting up close, she uses her bow to pummel her enemies into submission... or death, depending on her mood. Usually, though, she would rather avoid a direct battle and assassinate her targets from the shadows, but when she has to, she unleashes heavy punishment from above with several AoE skills, but also utilitarian arrow skills.
Strengths:
From a distance, Suna is a terror. She will slice through enemy armies from afar without them even being able to hit her. And she will do a lot of that damage before even being seen.
Weaknesses:
Suna is a glass cannon. If you ever got close to her, she is almost certainly defeated, since she has no way to defend herself in close combat, not even a dagger.
Items:
Name of Item: Scourge of God
Rank of Item: Divine
Appearance: A curved longbow which limbs are a dulled golden, to not reflect any sunlight. Red veins spiral around the limbs in a wide, corkscrew motive. Unusually for a longbow, the tips of the limbs are curving back outwards again. Its string is like a red lightning when drawn.
Description of Item: A bow that brings fear to everybody that has to face the rain of its deadly arrows. Its name evokes the terror of Attila the Hun, who was called the same. The arrows of this bow, when combined with an impeccable archer, will bring devastation to anybody unlucky enough to be on the opposite side of it.
Class/Racial Restrictions: Archer
Downsides of Item: You can melee attack with it, but it won't be much more than a better wooden club. Avoid trying to use it as a melee weapon, except for emergencies.
Skills:
Pierce the Heavens
Job Class Specialization: Archer
Effects of Skill: Charging arrow pierces through enemies it hits.
Side Effects of Skill:A not sufficiently charged arrow only hits a single enemy.
Description of Skill: The loaded arrow becomes ethereal and can slowly be drawn back. The longer you draw, the more targets will it pierce.
Tengri's Wrath
Job Class Specialization: Archer
Effects of Skill: A hail of red arrows.
Side Effects of Skill: While the skill is active, the caster cannot move or use any other action or skill. It can be interrupted by getting hit.
Description of Skill: Fires a single arrow into the sky above the target area, which will explode into a portal above from which, for several seconds dozens of glowing, red, arrows pelt down on the target area.
Hellfire
Job Class Specialization: Archer
Effects of Skill: A drill arrow that shatters underneath the target area, spraying arrows up
Side Effects of Skill: There is a delay between the arrow fracturing and the projectiles breaking through the ground, leaving one a short moment to dodge. There is also a delay between the shot being fired into the ground and it reaching the target area.
Description of Skill:An arrow is shot into the ground below the caster. Several seconds later, underneath the target area, the arrow fractures and several dozen arrows are sprayed out of the ground in an instant.
Shackles of Fate
Job Class Specialization: Archer/Ranger
Effects of Skill: Roots the target in place with heavy, metal shackles. Fired by an arrow.
Side Effects of Skill: N/A
Description of Skill: Fires an arrow at the target. If it hits, the arrow transforms into metal shackles that wrap around the target's legs and bury into the ground, rooting the target in place.
How a normal human would view me:
A mysterious, but mischievous kitsune, who frequently, when she has to, hides her ears and tails from view, but is proud of them, when she is able to show them.
Personality:
Suna is gung-ho, adventurous and always ready for anything that would bring her benefits. Her overall attitude is often quite brash and forceful, but sometimes also a stubborn seriousness sneaks its way in. Usually, if she wants something, she is going to try her damnedest to get it. However, she still is, sometimes almost childishly so, playful and loves to play tricks or pranks on people, sometimes even laughing at people, even if it hurts others. She never does so, though, in the intent of hurting people, but it is a common side-effect of her actions. She hates rules and laws that limit her and the fun she could be having. However, once things get serious, she does, too, and in combat or while on mission, she will cease being bubbly and start to be a silent and deadly predator. From time to time, though, her personality may change completely for a while and she can become cold and mean, even to those she loves. But, there is still one other thing: Despite hating rules and laws, if she were ever to find a person she deemed worthy of her loyalty, she would gladly serve that person with everything she has.
Bio/Lore:
Aoba had always been interested in games, ever since she was young. Despite often not fitting in with her female peers, she continued to game, into her teens. When she entered high school, a game called YGGDRASIL caught her attention and she sunk a lot of time in it as a kitsune named Sunagitsune, so much so, that, in her last year, she almost got kicked off her archery team. However, her skill in archery in real life, easily transferred into the game and such, she became a feared archer, who always was for hire. In this instance of real life skill to game skill, her removal from the archery team was prevented because her involvement in the game actually made her a lot more accurate in real life.
She also started up a crafting shop in game, blacksmithing weapons, armour and other items for customers willing to contract her. However, because she had always been a lone wolf, the player drain had not effected her enjoyment of the game much. And so, she stayed, made herself her own fun, pranking and tricking a lot of the remaining players and just generally having a jolly time.
Shortly after Aoba finished high school, however, it was announced that the servers were going to shut down, but she stayed. She had promised herself to stay as long as she could in the game that brought her the most fun time of her life for years. And when the severs shut down... she still stayed...
Poof. Sorry, in the end I had a bit of issues with the program I use to make font pics and stuff <.< >.> But here it is, please tell me if there is anything you want me to change or add to.
Angel form really has no reason to be immune to poison, or negative (which I'm assuming is curse) energy. Nor should it be completely immune to light energy. A resistance would be more prudent. Divine Awareness makes it especially difficult for me to reply any sort of liar whenever he is around so I can't allow it. Servant of god needs to be explained better it sounds just like its resurrecting people. Which brings me back to resurrection...I already said I don't allow people to be brought back, and more over that line of area is in the land of necromancy except this one is backed in a 'better' light. Its an automatic no which I have already stated why on the resurrection wand.
@ZelosseI'm not sure if I already stated it for you but I'm sure you understand my stance on Resurrection (The exception being a necromancer's powerless husks) at this point in it being a flat no under no circumstances. Other than that I don't see anything glaring.
@vancexentan If you want I can add another skill, if that fixes the shortness? Or were you more referring to Lore or another section? ^.^ Was thinking about a racial skill.
I admit my dissapointment in a high cleric/sage not getting a core skill, but accept that it would set a bad example to grant me it after denying someone else.
Can I alter it to something like deny death, where it temporarily prevents the target from doing any and all actions but prevents health loss?
Reminder to everyone that NPC characters can't function like a independent person, or talk until the realm swap to the overlord world from Yggdrasil. They are basic computer programs, and Momonga is visually stunned to find out that the Pleiades can do the aforementioned.
Suppose I could change the immunities into resistances, I just figured being divine beings, mortal poison isn’t really something that would concern them. As for the lie detector bit that’s sort of the point? An angel can not lie but it knows when others are, though that doesn’t mean there’s any indicator or that it would prevent you from lying; frankly Yeshua is to meek to even act on it if she knows you’re lying.
Servant of God isnt an auto resurrection thing, it’s just that for spells or whatever that would require material components to raise someone back from the dead, such as having 5000 GP worth of diamonds or something, you won’t need it to resurrect Yeshua. It still relies on having someone who can raise the dead. And yeah suppose I shouldn’t be surprised about the resurrection thing, you did already mention that before. But is there an IC reason why bet few or no one in Yggdrasil wouldn’t have a high level divine caster capable or resurrection? I know that’s just your rule but I don’t know why anyone would bother being a high level divine caster if they couldn’t bring back the dead. Healing isn’t as useful as damage dealing in a fight, and arcane types can do damage and buffs just as well as a divine type could, if not better, since typically wizards don’t have access to resurrection magic.
@OokawaNPCs work as a supporting character out of the guild player characters can only have one, or two as they'd need to be located in Arce bellum before the swap. You fill out the same CS I have posted in the front, NPC vs Player is generally negligible.
@Lucius Cypher There's varying rank of divinity I would believe that angels in this universe are lower on the rank compared to actual bosses like Momonga crushes. But that's just my belief on the matter.
As for Resurrection while it is brought up in the series it is at the expense of a ton of gold, and it was somewhat for the sake of keeping the status quo. While I have no problem with it working in the show in a roleplay setting it invites the prospect of there being no consequences for poor player choices, in a setting that is already usually heavily weighed in our favor as the strongest npc's we will see for awhile are probably around level 50, maybe 60. I don't want the prospect of Resurrection to be a choice for poor player choices, or to be used as some sort of bizarre plot point. Necromancy will be a thing as once we get rolling the will be tales of a necromancer a long way from our current point but that character is for a later time. Its one thing to heal grievous wounds its another thing to put a guy's head back on after he had it cut off, or he's lost most of his blood.
Eh, suppose that's an issue for settings like Overlord where things like bringing back the dead is just part-and-parcel for the sort of "OProtagonists" these settings tend to have. Plus frankly, seems like the main threat will primarily come from PvP, rather than PvE, considering that not all of us are immediately on the same side.
Now hear me out. In the show proper, when two members of blue rose or w/e die they suffered from loss of level. The same happened to zaryusu and all the others. Similar effects happen later to a colisseum champion, a big troll of some kind.
It is also a rarity in itself to have the spell at all, as its mid tier magic. I fancy myself something of an experienced player with a character that should fit any requirements as a holy being (Him being a divine being and all) so I'm merely asking, if not true ressurection or the one needed for shalltear which required the body to be remade entirely (thus the gold cost), what skill woulf you feel comfortable with giving a player that doesn't breach your rule.
As I mentioned, would a stasis ability that prevents death/actions be an alternative? Obviously with certain requirements to use the skill so as to not abuse its invincibility status mid fight.
