System Database Updated.
Senior Agent Griffin Green's stress level has increased.
System Notification

'Proposal: Cease inquiry of topic regarding source of stress.' Astra acts upon the proposal and moves away from Griffin and returns to her original position between Richard's and Argus' positions in the room. She turns her head to face Argus before turning Griffin. "Thank you for the information you both have disclosed. I apologize if I had caused undue stress to you, Senior Agent Griffin. It was not my intention to do so."

Richard was rather shocked at the discovery that Griffin was a representative for the Vampiric Court. He knew that the BOSA had connections to any major groups or factions in relation to the supernatural, but he didn't know that the Court's Council of Elders were so inclined to send one of theirs to lead the investigation. Richard had assumed that Griffin was affiliated with the Court in one way or another, but he had never thought that he would be a representative of all things. Maybe he was right to call him sir when he had first met Griffin, he didn't want to get on the bad side of the local Vampiric Court due to disrespect.

Griffin shrugged. "More or less. I get to be everyone's whipping boy because no one wants to take responsibility for failing." While he had no choice. Technically he was a vampire heir. Because he was his sire's strongest child he was supposed to inherit his father's kiss when the asshole met the dawn. The problem was that his father was an asshole who hated him and saw him only as a threat to his throne. Griffin had no desire to control the whole damn state. He didn't want to be responsible for so many lives. Which was probably a good thing since he couldn't seem to lead even a small group of lesser supernaturals. All he wanted really was his freedom and being a leader meant he would be out from under his sire's thumb. Sort of. He would still have to answer to the older man but not as often.

"Just be glad they haven't declared you a traitor and ordered your execution yet." Argus proclaimed, leaning forward in his chair and propping his elbows up on the table, "I had enough trouble setting myself up a new identity, and the reach of the Djinn is virtually nonexistent once you're past Egypt. If it happens to you you'll be truly fucked." he chuckled.

The Djinn absentmindedly picked up one of the rolled napkins, sticking it in the corner of his mouth and lighting it with a flame on the tip of his thumb, "I thought I'd heard whispers of the council having a representative in BOSA, makes sense it'd be one of the more senior agents." Argus mused, not noticing as the piece of thin paper he ahd mistaken for a cigarette rapidly burned away to ashes and fell onto his shoulder, "Since we're talking history, what's your deal Rich? Chosen at birth? spend a lifetime meditating to achieve enlightenment? God-touched mortals are pretty rare by any standard; Especially ones as powerful as you are."

"M-me? Oh. It wasn't as grandiose like being chosen at birth by the Lord or meditating in a holy mountain day in day out nor do I think I'm that powerful." Richard let out a bashful chuckle before taking a sip more of the coffee. Damn the coffee was good. "I received this gift when I was still a young boy. I had contracted an unknown illness, no doctor knew what was afflicting me and they couldn't treat me." Richard pauses to take another sip. "I was on my deathbed when the angel appeared. It seemed that the Lord and sent one of his angels to ferry me to the afterlife but instead of taking me away, it took a piece of itself and placed it inside of me." He then lets out a sad smile as he remembered the faces of his parents when he had been miraculously healed...God rest their souls. "The next day I was cured; and just like that I got my ability."

Astra took note of the details given and placed the new information in her database. God-touched beings and enclaves of Dijin living in the sands of Egypt. So many things she was learning. Her old master would have been proud of her.

"Djinn records about mortal who have been gifted by the divine are surprisingly comprehensive; you might call it a topic of special interest. Very few of them known to my kind have been capable of doing much more than healing the wounded, and usually only limited quantity." Argus countered, "You were able to summon true holy light, though. Not just the parlor tricks and miracle healing most commonly associated with a divine blessing."

Argus glanced up at a clock on the wall before checking the time on his phone, "What's taking so long? And where's the Nymph? I've got requisition forms to fill out to get another bottle of hydrogen fuel before they send me out on assignment again."

Richard couldn't help but smile at his senior agent's comment regarding the strength of his God given gift. "Thanks, Argus. I didn't realize how lucky I am to have this strong a blessing." He could only hope he could maximize his ability and affinity to holy magic to help and protect others in need. "Maybe she's checking up on the suspect? I mean, she did heal him and took care of hum until the medics could."

Amaya listened as she remained sitting next to mason "just don't touch the book alright...it won't end well..."Said Amaya to Mason watching Rost. She didn't trust him much but then again she hardly trusted anyone she just meet. She let out a sigh closing her eyes while crossing her arms waiting for this to be done. She did have a briefing that she needed to tend to but decided this was kind of more important then the said briefing as she had to make sure all her efforts werent a waste.

Rost

"You know you don't have to repeat everything I say back to him, right Amaya?" Rost inquired as he directed Mason into position so he could place the seal. Once he began his work, the scribe was dead silent; making careful, calculated brush strokes to form an intricate collection of symbols on the demon's back, seemingly unaware of his surroundings as he crafted the sealing spell. Once he finished, the senior researcher uttered a few phrases in an unfamiliar tongue, his voice seeming to distort in unnatural ways as the runes painted on Mason's skin glowed faintly to signal the spell binding had worked.

"Alright I'm done. Mason, just so you are aware; in addition to the seal on your other half i embedded a second spell which will monitor the effectiveness of the primary one, a sort of magical bug tracker." he removed a pocket notebook from inside his jacket, offering it to the demon, "Keep this book with you at all times, as the monitoring spell has been bound to a transcription spell in its cover. It has a limited range, but so long as the book is on your person it will constantly keep track of the status of your seal. Each time I re-apply the sealing spell I'll be checking the information in that book and using it to make improvements. " he announced, stowing the kit containing his painting supplies back into the folds of his jacket, "Should only take a few weeks before I can create the permanent seal. Fair warning, however; the final version will have to be tattooed on and will likely take much longer to apply." rising to his feet, the agent checked his watch, "and I believe we have a meeting to get to, isn't that right Director?"
Argus

"Just remember to keep training, and don't let it go to your head." Argus suggested, giving a quick thumbs up. The djinn picked up another napkin, fiddling with it instead of eating it, "She does seem like the type to get herself too involved with someone she helped... I just hope it doesn't come back to bite her in the ass. I don't know if I could bear to see that happen again." he gave a troubled sigh, setting the scrap of paper back down on the table, "But that's ancient history, nothing you guys need to worry about." he said quickly, attempting to change the subject.

"With that done we need to get to the team meeting. I want to hear how things got so out of hand so quickly so that we can avoid instances like this in the future. If you three will follow me." The director indicated as he opened the door to the room. The senior office should never been Griffin. While he had been working with the agency the longest he had no experience working with a team. Unfortunately that meant to Griffin was expected to know things he probably didn't like how to get other agents to work together.

He made his way down the hall towards the meeting room. He didn't bother to see if the other three were following him or not. They would if they knew what was good for them. He opened the door to the meeting room and made his way to the room. He tapped on the podium to get everyone's attention. "I want to start by saying that the team aspect of this group isn't going as well as I had hoped. You all messed up. All of you will be issued warnings and marks added to your folders. You are supposed to be professions. Nothing about this mission was handled professionally."@Blueflame

The scholarly agent followdled wordlessly behind The Director, carrying his grimoir under one arm; he would worry about returning it to the library vault after the meeting. He took a seat at the table across from Argus, placing the bueavy book in front of him and crossing his arms on top of it.

Argus

"If you'll excuse the interruption, Director, isn't this your fault? You sent an untested team of individuals with no prior history of cooperation into the field under the leadership of someone who has never been placed in a position of command." Argus stated bluntly, "That includes two untrained rookies, one of which was only hired yesterday. Until this operation, we have always operated under a structure of a single field agent per assignment. No adjustment period, no team building exercises, not even trust falls." he leaned back on his seat, staring at the director dead-on, "The minute someone who is actually trained in leadership and tactics showed up, things went off without a hitch. These agents are perfectly capable of working together effectively, you just need to give them someone to rally behind and show them the way; or at the very least send us to a team building seminar." the Djinn agent was well aware he was likely to be in deep shit for his comments, but he had dealt with enough bureaucratic finger pointing in his life to know warnings and reprimands wouldn't get them anywhere. "Before you go pointing fingers about who's being unprofessional, you should probably take a look at how you organized the deployment."

Amaya watched as she helped mason up before following the director to the briefing room. She found herself a seat before listening to the director then to the dyjnn more or less rip holes in the entire story. He was right they did mess up but what did he expect of a bunch of new people who never dealt with eachother before now try working together. SHe and the dyjnn were already not on good terms just do to racial history, so that factor didn't help. PLus they didn't have maps, walkies or really anything to really coordinate.

Richard agreed with the director's comments regarding their action in the previous assignment. It didn't make him feel good but it was accurate to the last word. Argus then attempted to mitigate the problem and justify their earlier failures as a cohesive team. They had no history with one another, the one supposedly heading the operation had no experience leading this kind of team. He had to admit that failing to cooperate with each other was his fault as well. Tough he was just glad Argus came when he did. Though that time has past and now the whole team had to deal the ire of their director.

Mason is confused as he silently accepted Amayas help to stand. He didn't feel any different, he followed them to the room that the meeting was taking place but didn't know if he was allowed to enter so he stood off to the side of the door outside the room.

"We tried the team building exercises. They didn't work as well for supernatural as they do for humans. Even those supernatural, like werewolves and vampires who were once human. Besides we do not have time for holding hands and singing camp songs. Everyday the supernatural words is at risk of being exposed to the humans. We all have experienced what happens when humans get hints that any of exist."
The director answered. He was an old supernatural. Some said he was Atlantian. No one knew for sure. Only that many believed he was one of the oldest supernatural around. "Besides that a true leader doesn't need to learn how to lead. While many can learn to lead true leaders were born to it. I was hoping that Agent Griffin would be a natural leader like his sure but he is not."

Griffin winced. He didn't want to be like his sire. He wanted to lead. He wanted to prove himself. He simply didn't know how. "I should not have to tell you how to follow orders Agent Argus. If Agent had followed orders we would not have needed to send a clean up crew to make sure that no one remembered the crash. If Agent Griffin hadn't let the suspect reach the sewer we wouldn't have to repair the sewer because none of you bothered to follow procedure. Following has nothing to do with leaders not knowing up from down or species having bad history between them. It's something you are all supposed to know and follow."

"I don't remember being invited to any team building exercises." Argus responded bluntly, half-glaring at the Director, "Anyways, when you're handing out those black marks on our permanent records keep in mind that I'm the only reason that mission wasn't a total failure. I'd rather not have to go back to wearing a tracking bracelet all the time because my first real outing had gone to shit before I even got there."
Rost

"If I may, Director." Rost interjected, raising one hand, "Perhaps in your haste to improve upon our ability to respond to larger threats, you neglected to take a few details into account." he offered politely, "For instance, Amaya has been with us for less than two days, and according to her recruitment file was previously living in near-total isolation. Someone with her background would have a natural aversion to those in positions of authority, regardless of ancestral feuds. She has no knowledge of field tactics, and yet is expected to follow procedures? That hardly seems fair." the scribe continued, gesturing towards the water elemental, "Griffin, despite his age, has no experience in leadership. He is no natural leader, but given time he could easily learn the skills; yet he was thrust into a position of command with no warning or time to prepare, and given charge of individuals whose skills he did not know how to utilize; purely on the hope he would turn out to be a natural leader." he nodded towards the vampire, "Richard, I believe, does indeed have military training, and based on the field reports followed orders admirably once a trained commanding officer arrived on scene. Prior to that he was left to his own devices and, as is the natural instinct of any man, relied upon his prior experience as a medic."

Rost stopped to catch his breath before returning his attention to the Director, "Mistakes were made, yes, but I feel that going so far as to strike marks against these agents for them is unfair; as you yourself made the mistake of assuming Griffin would be a natural leader, and did not establishing a formal chain of command. Agents were not given assignments based on their individual skillsets or experience, they were simply set loose with a blanket order and expected to complete their mission flawlessly. Simply put, no form of coordination was put in place in the event your natural leader failed to appear."

"No this team was not part of the team building experiment. If you want to try it I suppose a second attempt could be made." The director stated. "Yes mistakes were made. By everyone. Yes there will be consequences for the actions." He shook his head. They only had to answer to him and their leaders. He had to explain to the FBI and MIB as well as the president how this had all gone sideways. "Amaya should never have been at the sight. I don't know how she got the information but as an untrained agent she should not have been involved in fieldwork. Something all of you trained agents should have known. Those of you who didn't know that she was new are excused for mistaking her for an actual agent. Griffin is the most senior agent that we have for this area. Since he had the most training and experience in the field he should have been able to handle a shadow demon. I thought Richard's experience working with a team would balance Griffin's inexperience but that was not the case. Unfortunately sometimes things things have to be learned in the field. I want a full report from each of you. I want to know what you learned and what you would do differently if given the chance."

Richard accepts the failures of his end, but he at least hopes that the Director would talk to the local vampire council to mitigate the issue with Griffin's part. "Understood Director, I'll fill out a report ASAP." He pauses for a moment to contemplate on something. Maybe he could have done more to help the operation? No matter. The time had past and it was now only something to be learned upon and an opportunity to better themselves.

Astra turns to face the director and attempts to scan him but the only message that appeared on her notification screen was: "UNAUTHORIZED ANALYSIS" and a proposal to cease. She does so but asks the director of what she was supposed to do. She was not part of the case but she was present in the meeting room for a reason. "Pardon my vocalization, Director. I would like to know what is this agent's current directive and purpose other than to 'serve and protect'?"

Amaya listened as she folded her arms infront of her chest closing her eyes. What a utter mess, I should have declined and push all the humans out when i had to chance....my head hurts from this mess. She thought letting out a sigh "give me whatever forms I need to and I will give what I can."She replied blankly wanting to get this done and over with already. She was already annoyed from the entire mission and now the director acting like it wasn't a success. without her, the others probably would have killed the demon by the time the medical transport would get there. "Is this briefing done?"she asked opening her eyes before looking towards the door "Its akright to come in...you are part of this so come sit down."She stated to mason pointing to a chair next to her

Argus

"Here's my mission report: Arrived after shit went sideways, contained a potentially massive containment breach, organized agents on scene and brought suspect in alive but wounded. Wouldn't have been able to do it without both Amaya and Rich. Get a water elemental and a holy man in the same room and they can deal a real number on any demon. Agent Griffin was ill suited to aiding in bringing in the suspect so I sent him topside to call and arrange a prisoner transport." Argus shrugged, brushing a bit of ash off one shoulder, "Might bring more liquid hydrogen with me next time, seemed to work pretty damned well for some reason. That stuff is a bitch to requisition, though. The boys down at the armory thought I was crazy when I told them I was gonna drink it." he explained, "I'll submit it in writing later, first I've gotta run to the corner store and by more smokes." the Djinn began to rise from his seat to leave, pausing briefly to see if he would be allowed to exit the meeting.

Rost

"Speaking of the demon, I believe he is listening outside the door and not sure if he is allowed to come in." Rost indicated, turning in his chair and locking his eyes on Mason, "Though I understand his hesitation in entering, considering his capture was far from clean. The poor boy was acting like he'd been fed through a woodchipper." he shifted his gaze towards Richard and Argus, "You boys should be less heavy-handed when dealing with suspects, especially you Argus. I saw what distinctly resembled the remnants of claw marks on his body while i was dealing with his little shadow problem. the Scribe declared in a distinctly accusatory tone; receiving a glare and roll of the eyes from the Djinn in return.

Richard's eyes widened to the news that the suspect they had detained no more than a couple hours ago was standing outside of the door. Though, the Senior Scribe did not seem to be the least bit worried. Usually, when suspects escape there would be more panic. The older man then somewhat sympathizes with the suspect and admits that Richard and Argus roughed up the suspect too badly. "A-apologies, sir. Though if you had seen the sheer threat the suspect had posed to the agents present, what more to the unknowing public, I think you would have understood why our methods were more rough than expected." He pauses to catch a breath. "In all my life...never had I fought such a powerful demonic entity such as him."
