Students of the Death Weapon Meister Academy start to disappear one pair by one on different missions, unrelated to each other, sometimes even after completing the mission objective. The cause of that is a rival organisation containing witches and fellow villains who work for them with as purpose to help Arachnee strengthen the Kishin - as we saw mentioned in the series. The organisation is picking off Shibusen students one at a time while the purpose is unknown to the academy. They would either kill the students or capture them, but either way the students just vanish. As it is not simple to simply send someone stronger when the students disappear on different missions, unrelated to each other, they discuss about temporarily stopping students from going on missions. However, they decide to keep going with the missions.
The students in the academy are divided in three groups based on their abilities. The lowest group of them are the newbies, they are going on the easiest missions as they still need to get more experience and grow stronger. The second group are the normal meister-weapon pairs and the last group exists of the exceptional, better then normal, students.
The teachers decide to make a combination of students from the second group and the last group to go on a group mission. Along the way to defeating the monsters they have to face for their mission, they get attacked by villains that are part of the evil organisation several times and have to fight them to survive... and to get more information about whatever is happening of course.
Everyone can choose either to double a meister and a weapon, while being able to choose themselves if they pair up with someone else to grow a bond between the characters or pair up with their own characters so they are able to post easier without having to wait for their partner. The other choice is to make their own villain - either one of the witches or another villain that helps the witches. There is a possibility of being a single meister or weapon, but this one needs to be discussed so we can keep a balance between meisters and weapons.
