Caoro nodded and opened her backpack taking out a laundry bag. She stuffed seeds into her backpack taking all of them, then she got the gloves and shovel putting them in the laundry bag. "I got most of the stuff how much fertilizer?" She could only carry one or two bags. She walked over to the other side of the counter. she finds a pack of cigarettes and matches she grabs the matches and walks back around. "Anything else?" She searches the store and finds a few thing that could protect the plants. "Should we take some chicken wire to protect the vegetables?"

Emily walked around the store behind Caoro, watching as she grabbed the things they needed. When she came to the bags of fertilizer, Emily stopped her. "I can grab them, no worries. We can even make this two trips if we need to." She told her before grabbing two bags of the stuff and slinging them over her shoulder. She smiled at Caoro's suggestion to protect the plants. "I didn't even think about that. Good thinking." She told her, "Go ahead and grab a spool of it, I think we're done here for now. Let's head back. We can make another trip for the electronics store." With that, she made way for the front door. She peaked outside, watching for anyone but was surprised to see an empty street. Surely there were others nearby. She took in a deep breath and opened the door, walking outside.

She motioned yet again for Caoro to follow her outside. "Come on, we should get going. It's eerily quiet here, I don't like it." She explained, already heading in the direction of the forest.

Caoro nodded and took out her bow an an arrow notched already. "OK lets go." She grabbed the chicken wire and put it in her bag. They started walking and when they finally got into the forest she calmed down a bit but stayed alert.

John and the scavengers finally came farther than the area Liz had searched. It was where John had been before, the center of town. He looked around and saw an Ice cream shop, a clothing store, a butcher, a baker, a cafe, and a ratty motel. None of this area seemed to have been searched. Well there were no broken windows at least. "Everyone pick somewhere to search. Bring anything you think will be valuable and we'll meet up back here, John said as he walked into the cafe. He had really picked the cafe because it would make him look good to bring back anything of value. And reputation was everything. Not that he didn't actually want to survive. But he'd like to survive and have respect.

Gustavus made his way around the warehouse in a attempt to grind Liz and present to her his charters and documents. What would she think of hem he wondered. Would she scoff? Laugh? Agree? Would she se the need for this to protect the future of humanity? He did not know and he knew it was no good wondering for he barely knew her and had not formed a opinion of her yet. Eventually he found Liz and stretched out his arm so she could read the papers "I have created a series of laws, jobs needed and who should do them and also a list... Of who should have children with who so incest will not happen anytime in the future"

Liz was greatly surprised by this. She hadnt thought about the need for laws. After all who would enforce them and how? The list of jobs was more thought out then her own. As for the list if pairs. Liz wasn't sure how she felt about that. People should have the choice, but Gustavus had a point they needed to avoid awkward situations down the road. "Thank you Gustavus. This is very well thought out. It appears you have thought further ahead then I have."

Any true leader would have done the same, Gustavus thought "I see, then I suggest you put them into place if you truly wish for the survival of humanity, which I assume you do" Gustavus wondered how far his plans would go, would she even consider them? How effective would they even be? How long would they last? Not long, Gustavus reckoned for humans were weak in the mind and will not follow the simplest rule even if it prolongs their survival. Gustavus decided to suggest the following, he knew it would most likely fail as Liz seemed to be the "equality type" but he tried anyway "I also suggest you become a despot" and left it at that to see what she would say.

Marco considered for a few minutes, before choosing the bakery. It was the most likely to have food, which is a necessity in today's day and age. He tried the front door, but it was locked. He was about to break the window open, when he saw a ladder. He ran towards it, and started climbing up. When climbing, one of the steps broke off, and made a loud Ding sound. Well, that way is out of the question . He continued to climb up until he got to the top, which seemed to drag on for hours, even though it was only about one or two minutes. He found a hatchway, which was already open. Great, someone has already been here. I hope it wasn't more than two or so people . He remembered that most places had gotten a shipment about two weeks before this happened, so there was probably a bit of food left. He went inside, but the lights were off. He was wandering around, and tripping every thirty seconds or so. He finally managed to find the light switch.

He saw that the store was quite empty, but had enough food. He opened his bag, and started to put stuff in it. He found a key, which probably opened the front door, and probably a few other stuff. He found a staff only room, which he opened with the key. He found nothing of interest in there. He found about two loaves of bread, a croissant, and a little cake, which he would probably keep for himself, on a special occasion. He went outside and waited for everyone else.

Liz blinked uncertainly. What on Earth was a despot? Liz got the impression that Gustavus thought everyone was stupider then he was. Liz prefered to think that everyone was smart in their own way. "What exactly is a despot?"

They made their way back to the warehouse on pretty high alert, trying to make sure no one they didn't know was following them. Emily smiled when they finally made it back and ran down the small hill with her things, headed for the warehouse. She ran over to the gardening area and threw the bags of fertilizer down on one of the shelves. Finished and satisfied, she turned to look for the woman from before, the owner of the flyer. She spotted her talking to another man, presumably one staying here as well. She smiled and walked up to the woman.

"I never got your name." She said, sticking her head into the woman's line of sight. She pulled away once she knew she had the woman's attention and straightened up. "Oh, and where are we staying? The flyer said something about an apartment. Does that mean I get my own room?" She asked, clearly very curious. She smiled at the man the woman had been talking to and sent him a little wave to say hello.

Gustavus frowned surely she was not THIS ignorant. Gustavus was beginning was to have his doubts about her leadership. "A despot is a person who rules unchallenged which I suggest you do if want humanity to live for as long as possible as democracy is a ineffective way to get things done and we have ALOT to get done"

Caoro put the seeds and other things down then she started looking through the store. Finally she came across the electronics, she found two identical mp3's and smiled then she went and picked out chargers and a silver hardcover case for both of them and she grabbed a multicolor hardcover for hers. She went back over to Emily and waved Emily's in the air smiling. "I told you they had a nice electronic place, if they turn out bad we can go to the actual electronics store."

"Democracy has a time and place, but for now you are right. I will have to the person to make a majority of the decisions." Liz wasn't sure she likes Gustavus attidue, but he had a point. They needed to improve their chances of humanity surviving. And right now it didn't look like the others really felt that way. They didn't seem to mind working together, but beyond that they had shown little to no interest in each other. Liz turned her attention to the Emily. "It's been kind of a crazy day. I must have forgotten to introduce myself. My name is Liz and yes there is an apartment building and you get your own room for now."

John found exactly what they needed in the cafe. Water, muffins, cinnamon buns, even a few kitchen knifes for weapons. He searched the staff room for a back pack or pouch of some sort and finally found one. He loaded his findings in there and brought it back to the center and dumped it with Marco's things.

Emily smiled at both Liz and Gustavus, glad to know their names. "It's nice to meet the both of you. Thanks for the room, Liz. It means a lot." She told the two. She turned to Gustavus and introduced herself, "And greetings to you, Gustavus. I'm Emily. Mind if I call you Gus?" She grinned at him, happy to meet yet another person willing to at least tolerate her. She heard Caoro yelling at her. She looked to see the girl walking towards her, waving a pair of headphone in her hands. "Oh my god! They have them! I've looked for them all over!" She exclaimed, running over to Caoro.

When offered, she grabbed the headphones and the MP3 player and began to inspect them. I wonder... She fiddled with the MP3 for a bit and managed to get it turned on and playing something, whatever it was. She plugged in the headphones and slid them on gingerly. Chicago was playing... At least, she thought it was. She remembered her dad listening to this song a lot. Saturday In The Park. She smiled to herself. At least it was an interesting playlist so far. She looked over at Caoro and gave her a quick thumbs up before walking back to Liz and Gustavus. She was a bit curious as to what they were talking about after all. She pulled the headphones down so that they hung around her neck and stayed nearby the two.

Caoro smiled and turned hers on to a local news station, of course she heard nothing but she had to check. She turned on the preset playlist and walked to her apartment.

Gustavus did in fact mind that she called him Gus but decided to let it slide because she was new! when she left to do something he turned back to Liz "We are back to the Stone Age despite the left over from civilization and harsh times call for harsh measures"

"You have made your point. I don't like the idea of telling who they should pair with. While I agree we need firm leadership, I think pairing up is something we should talk about when we are all together." Liz says firmly.

"Remember these words Liz if you wish to see your hope of rebuilding to end 'It is better to be feared than loved if you cannot be both', so Liz I ask can you be both? What type of leader will you be? Will you be able to rebuild a civilisation that can stand the test of time?"
