Right after pulling her up, he moved again to try and catch her fall, but she quickly recovered right after. He then pulled himself up, before watching her place a hand on her wound and make it seemingly dissapear.

So, she knows healing magic?

He looked around as he listened to her question, turning back to her as she described the person she was looking for.

Kaldalis: I can't say that I have, Kura. Where are your parents by the way? Did you come here alone?

Kaldalis wondered if she really did come to Trios without any adults supervising her, if so, then leaving her here would be quite dangerous. He entertained the notion of accompanying her as her guardian for a bit as he waited for a reply.

No sooner did Boris display his fine art, did the woman react, yet not in the way this simpleton of a meathead mind might have expected –

With a sudden jolt, the woman is taken. She is launched across the room backwards at incredible speed and pinned to the wall. There, with her feet no longer touching the ground, her neck appears to be crushed by an unseen hand while her eyeballs bulge, her face turns blue, and blood spills from her eyes, her nose and ears.

After the wait of a shocking moment, the woman’s abdomen then peels open as if done so by a knife that cannot be seen either. Her intestines are pulled forth by an invisible hand. Once disemboweled, the intestines are severed. The end of one section of the intestinal length is then raised and made to write on the wall beside her. These are the bloody words that are written:

relax
let us play
with you

The dead woman and her intestines are then released from bondage and dropped to the floor in a heap.

Boris will need to forgo his breakfast. Perhaps he should learn to read the bloody writing on the wall.

For a second Boris thought maybe his art was responsible for what happened to the lady. Surely it couldn't have been that bad. His face became doleful as he looked at the sketch, at the woman being murdered, at the sketch, and back at the woman again. Then he was a little confused, head cocked as he peculiarly analysed the bloody writing on the wall. Of course, Boris couldn't read, but he made an effort to read it anyway.

"R.. r... r... reee... axxxx. lel... uhh.... P.. pl... wuuu.... you." Boris gave up with a sigh, but was just a little glad that he recognized one of the words, 'You'. The message was something about him! And despite the gore and blood, that part kinda made him happy.

Still, there wasn't much he could do about the situation. He wasn't going to get any more information from the headless man or the empty woman, but he stopped to wonder if maybe this had something to do with a young girl he met a long, long time ago. The young girl in question was named Annie, a very powerful girl with lots of magic abilities, which included invisibility. As it happened, Boris at the time heard rumors that Annie had had his baby. But Boris never believed those rumors, after all, he knew that a man and a woman needed to do funny things to each other in a bed to make babies, and apparently birds and bees were somehow involved. Yep, the whole baby making thing was puzzling to Boris, but he knew one thing for sure, he'd never done any of those funny things with Annie, he'd never done those funny things with any girl at all, and he was also pretty sure that the thing about the birds and the bees was a lie.

"Annie...?" Boris said, turning his eyes suspiciously around the room. "Is that ...you?"

Probably not receiving a response, Boris decided the only thing to do at this point was to copy the message on the wall and show it to someone later, someone who could actually read, of course, and maybe they could tell him what it said. Flipping to a new page in his notebook, he very carefully copied the writing the wall, placed the book in his backpack, and then went to the kitchen to feed his grumbling tummy.

Sure enough, the kitchen was the source of the food he'd been smelling. The table in the center of the kitchen was prepared for breakfast. There was a plate with bacon and sausages, another plate with eggs, a stack of toast, a bowl of fruit, a jug of milk, and another jug of orange juice. Yep! The headless man and empty woman had planned on eating breakfast, so they probably hadn't planned on dying as well. Boris had now realized what might have been an important fact about... something.

Feeling pleased with himself, he took a seat at the table, dumped all the food onto one clean plate, and then started feasting.

"Aww..." She pouts, seeming rather disappointed that the knight didn't know who she was looking for, before vaguely gesturing towards the lake "Oh they're somewhere... off that way. Eventau-, Evetan- ...somewhere. Might be a while if you're looking for them."

She perks up at the mention of coming here along, though frowning at the same time, rather paradoxically all things considered. "Well I came here alone unfortanu-... untunfor... sadly. It's like an adventure but I'm all alone, instead of with my sis..."

The winged girl managed to just barely carry the young girl to the ground before the balloon crashed. Looking back at it she hoped that Boris would be okay. The little girl was trembling in her arms, her eyes still fearful. The winged girl gently sets her down, crouching beside her.
“Hello little girl. There’s no need to look scared, you’re safe now. I’m sure your parents are okay too. They seemed to be fine, last I saw them. Would you like me to take you to them?” The young girl nodded, seeming to calm down a little. The winged lady smiled at her, taking her small hand in her own.
“What’s your name hon?”
“...Mikaela.”
“Nice to meet you Mikaela. My name is Ilyssa, in case you were wondering.”
The little girl nodded again, her face serious. “Ilyssa.”

As they reached the ship’s docks, Ilyssa looked around for a way onto the ship. Finding a small gap in the crowd, she made her way onto the ship, Mikaela in tow. She looks around, quickly finding the mother of the child being supported by a few crew members. She led Mikaela over. As the young girl saw her mother, she let go of Ilyssa’s hand, running over to her parent. She hugged her mother’s legs, tears streaming down her face. The mother looked at her child, her eyes wide in wonder, before hugging said child to her chest.

Ilyssa faded back into the crowd, leaving the two to reunite. She had already drew much more attention than originally intended, she’d much rather not draw more. Walking a safe distance away, she begins to look around for a place to stay the night.

Allysse is awoken to the sound of someone repeatedly saying "Hey."

Standing next to the rock Allysse had decided to take a nap on was a girl about her own age, with long purple hair and green eyes. She was wearing a white dress, and was looking at Allysse with a look of concern.

"It's not a very good idea to sleep out here in the open you know? You might catch a cold or be abducted. There's all kinds of bad people around here you know. Are you a visiting traveller?"

@Quote5

"Amnesia huh? That's unfortunate. So you do not know who put that thing there? Must've been a painful experience..."

As Karter leaves the ship, the girl follows him. "I have come here to... visit some relatives of mine. My family has resided in Trios for almost longer than Trios has held that name. I normally live abroad but I've decided to pay my family a visit." Smiling, the girl walks up dock. Nobody still seems to as much as acknowledge the girl. In fact, the only reason nobody has walked into her yet is because she seems to be an expert at dodging as nobody seems to bother trying to avoid walking into her. Strange, that, they do seem to make an effort not to walk into Karter or anyone else.

@Karkinos (and to some extent, @Harlequ)

The man slowly nods. "Y-yea... I'm fine I guess..." He answers. "Where's my daughter?"

"She's still in that balloon of yours! That man abducted her in that stupid balloon of yours!" His wife responds with a mix of fear and anger. Fear because her daughter had gone missing, and anger at having agreed to travel via this... thing her husband had built.

"W-what?! Where did they go?!" The man says as he gets to his feet. He barely manages to stay upright however. "I need to find my daughter!"

Before he can rush off to find her though, Ilyssa brings the girl back to the family. "Mika!" The man yells as the three are reunited and the father hugs his wife and daughter.

@Harlequ

As Ilyssa turns around to search for a place to stay, she finds herself staring into the green eyes of a purple-haired girl. "Nice work!" She says, giving Ilyssa a thumbs up. "There should be more people like you, you know? I don't think many people would've been willing to do what you did if they could."

The girl takes a step to the side, allowing Ilyssa to spot an inn up in the distance. "So, what brings you to this town? Do you plan on helping more people?"

He finally decided, he would accompany her. The main reason being that he felt pity for her being alone, and also some worry considering she's still a child. He convinced himself that he could learn something useful from this, and if something else came up, then he would figure out a way to take care of her as well.

Kaldalis: Would you like me to accompany you? I came here alone as well.

"mmmm..." She thought about that for a short time "How hungry are you? I hope you're not hungry, I've got a bet going with my sis and I need to find her before she eats all of her cookies!"

With that said, she promptly turns to leave and just wander around the town to search... lets see here... Well, first she thinks of Orange, and Oranges. That's what she does. Why? Who knows.

Karter is a little weirded out that nobody seems to acknowledge the girl's presence, but he figures it would be rude to ask.

Karter looks around a little. "Well... I should probably find somewhere to exchange my money, and also find a place to stay for the night... I should probably go soon. Know anywhere where I could do either of those things?"

After he says that, he realizes something. "Oh, where are my manners? I've never told you my name! I'm Leo Karter. I seem to remember most people just call me Karter. What is your name?"

Kaldalis followed her as she wandered throughout the town, saying something about eating more cookies than her sister. She seemed to have an incredibly short attention span and was distracted by nearly anything, and now that he could see that, Kaldalis was starting to feel a tinge of regret. Nevertheless, he continued walking, looking around the town himself.

Kaldalis: I'm not that hungry myself... Do you want me to buy you food?

It is while Boris is eating that a low feminine sigh is heard. Perhaps it can be identified as a young girl sounding annoyed, impatient in her wait. Though the sigh is not loud, it does cause the table Boris is feasting at to tremble. Many of the dishes in the cupboard clatter as they too are effected by the sound. However, it is not until Boris is drawing close to completing his feast that his final rasher of bacon lifts from his plate. It proceeds to float away from him before he has a chance to snatch it back.

The rasher stops in the threshold that leads to the lounge room, bobbing gently in the air as to entice Boris to follow. It continues on, jiggling like a fishing lure and entering the lounge room.

Boris sure was enjoying his meal, so much he hardly reacted to the shaking table from the girly sigh. The bacon leaving his grasp had a different effect on him, though. His mouth dropped open in surprise, then the surprise turned to a pouting doe-eyed look as the bacon took off into the lounge room.

"Gosh..." Boris mumbled, "I sure haven't seen bacon fly before."

Still, despite his food flying away, he became a little amused by the incident. By time the bacon vanished into the lounge room, he was wearing a goofy, playful smile and raised to his feet to go after it. But he paused for a moment, distracted by a jar on the kitchen counter above the cupboard. The jar was filled with cookies - and this made Boris even happier! He now had some food to take with him for later as well.

Quickly, he shoved the jar of cookies into his backpack and left the kitchen. As he entered the lounge room in search of the flying bacon, he was tiptoeing like a child playing a game of hide and seek. His suspenseful eyes darted around the lounge room; at the murdered woman, the headless man, the floor, the giant hole in the ceiling....

"Where did you go, Mr. Bacon?"

The bacon rasher does not answer Boris. It continues to bob in the air, now leaving the lounge room via the far exit. It proceeds through the vestibule past the front door and up the stairwell. Before going farther, it awaits Boris at the landing of the first floor.

“Heh-heh-heh.”

Boris chuckles and follows the bacon out of the lounge room, past the front door and up the stairs. At the landing of the first floor he attempts to grab it.

Boris isn’t fast enough. The rasher narrowly escapes his grasp. It speeds off quickly and stops outside the closed door of a bedroom at the end of the hallway. There, it remains suspended in the air while the doorknob seems to turn of its own volition. The door to the bedroom creaks open and the bacon enters.

Boris is having fun and doesn't hesitate. He chases after the bacon to the end of the hall, pausing to tilt his head with curiosity at the door opening on its own. Once the door is opened his attention goes back to the bacon and tries to grab it. But again the bacon escapes and he follows it into the room.

This is the master bedroom. The room is a basic design with a wardrobe and chair to the right of the room. The rasher of bacon remains in the air to the left of the room, bobbing in front of a polished timber dresser. There is a window between the dresser and a neatly made bed at the center of the room. The shutters on the window are open to let in the light and a fresh breeze that circulates the room. The dresser supports a mirror, which is no doubt an unlikely luxury for those living in the eastern district of Trios, or anyone in this era. Nevertheless… the mirror is there and a great deal of corrosion about its perimeter depicts its age.

The rasher appears to be waiting for Boris to advance yet again.

Allysse slowly lifted her head and woke up, brushing sand off her face and out of her hair. She started wondering why she fell asleep outside, but the sounds of someone saying 'hey' were finally registering in her brain a few seconds later. She looked up and saw a girl with the prettiest purple hair, and eyes like emeralds. Beginning to stand up, Allysse replied to the girl, "I'm a doctor, and I'm looking to live here. Uh... thanks for waking me up, I would've been in trouble without you. Are you travelling too? I didn't see you on the ship."

As she spoke, her eyes darted around to take in her surroundings, and she noticed a cozy-looking inn not too far away. After talking with this girl, she would make her way to the inn before it got too dark.

Boris takes a brief look around the room and hesitates for a moment. Trying to pull the bacon's bluff, he takes a few steps forward, stopping sharply to pause for a moment, then quickly charging in with a clapping grasp of both hands at the flying the bacon.

Ilyssa takes a small step backward, startled by the girl’s sudden appearance.
“Thank you. Well, I came here in search for a better life. If that involves helping others, I’ll gladly do so. Right now however, I’m searching for a place to stay the night.” She began to walk towards the town, just veering off course to grab her luggage. Right before she left, she seemed to have a thought, turning back to the purple haired lady.
“If I may ask, what is your name?”
