Gurr'Kha - The Dead World

I'm a little late but I guess I should actually do this.

Hello, and welcome, to the amazing interest check for the even more amazing roleplay, Gurr'Kha - The Dead World!

I am Gordoth, the fancy schmancy GM of the role play and I am going to be selling it to you!

Thinking of how to begin, I figured that something unique and not often done in roleplaying or in literature as a whole, was the apocalypse in a medieval setting, but with magic. As it turns out, I had just the world/setting ready to fire up and go.

But how does the apocalypse come in this world? It's a fantastical place, Gurr'Kha, and so it would need a very fantastical way of going into an apocalypse. Thing is, the more of Gurr'Kha was very convenient, as some strange entity was going around and was killing Gods, so why not have it kill all of them and bring about the end of the world?

Thus, we have a medieval world, with the technological advancements of:
-every civilization set in the Elder Scrolls universe, excluding the Dwemer
-every civilization set in the World Of Warcraft universe, excluding gnomes, goblins and dwarves
-every civilization in the Gothic universe
-every civilization in the Witcher universe
-every civilization in the Game of Thrones universe
-every civilization in Middle Earth
-And so on, you should get the picture

That world experiences a cataclysmic event, and said event leads to:
-wilting, or straight up death, of most crops
-madness among the animals
-madness among every clergy, for obvious reasons
-loss of magical power among every clergy, holy order or cult - No Gods to give power to their servants
-mass panic amongst the intelligent races
-fear (for everyone)
-the appearance of zones, characterized by magical anomalies, which cannot be scryed through magical means and need to be physically visited to be explored. Said magical anomalies vary from mass undeath, through giant mushrooms, to rolls of cheese falling from the sky
-the birth of new species, many of which are simple pairings of two other types of animals, others being new animals all together, and third being unexplainable amalgamations and / or abominations
-potentially new intelligent races (you could be one)
-the collapse of the established day and night cycle, leading to days as long as twenty hours and nights lasting only four, or twenty four hours periods of no sunlight
-new weather patterns and events, such as water going up to the sky instead of falling down during rainstorms, fire falling from the sky, light being sucked out of an area for a period of time and more!

If that doesn't get you curious, then the inevitable delve into ruins of destroyed civilizations will, as there are bound to be many long and descriptive posts of scenery! There will also be lore for you and the group to uncover, and you might even meet some significant characters along the way. There will be action, fear not.

Your character can be any creature you can think of in a fantasy setting, and I will allow it, most likely. You'll need to fit in the S.P.E.C.I.A.L. stat system which will have a bit of influence on how the roleplay goes, as I want to incorporate at least some dice rolling. You can read about it on the actual thread.

I'll be thankful if you tell me it's a nice idea, and ecstatic if you tag along, so let me know what you think!

You have me intrigued also would it be fine for a characters ambition to ascend to godhood or is that to much?

Definitely playing a somewhat sane paladin who is basically now reduced to hitting things good for money.

This sounds really fun! I am definitely interested.

Edit: new to the community and I'm not sure if your group is full, I just found your OOC thread so sorry if this is the wrong place to express interest
