Karter looked around for the man that told him what was going on, so he could thank him. The Commotion made that harder that it was worth. He said "thank you?" anyway.

Karter noticed someone trying to get his attention. No... that can't be right. Who could see me in this crowd? He decided to investigate anyway, pushing his way over in that direction as discreetly and politely as possible. He's still drowsy, so "as secretly and politely as possible" is not particularly discreet and only a bit more polite.

As the rain begins to intensify, Kura draws up her cloaks hood, thinking herself quite clever as she does so (manifets-... mafeni... which comes out as a quiet giggle), walking into the candy store, and thinking of Orange again, frowning as she didn’t get a response last time. Does that make any sense? No not really. At least if you’re not Kura, who finds this perfectly normal.

After entering the inn, Allysse looked behind her to see if Vesania had followed. She was surprised to see Vesania was completely dry. Allysse wasn't soaked herself, but her hair and clothes were thoroughly dampened. "Wow, you got lucky, huh? You're dry as a bone," she chuckled. Just then, a man in fancy armour walked into the inn. Even though the innkeeper had addressed her first, the man went in front of her and got a room for himself. Allysse was a bit taken aback, but waited for him to finish and then talked to the innkeeper and got a room for herself.

Wielding her room key, she turned to Vesania and said, "You should probably be heading home right? I mean, I wouldn't mind staying in your company for longer, but I figured you must have other stuff to do and I'm just sucking up your time."

As the rain outside intensifies, it starts hitting the windows of Kaldalis' room with a ticking noise. Tick-tick-tick. Tick-tick-tick.

It doesn't take long, however, for the ticking noise to become... louder, sounding less like rain and more like something or someone tapping on the window...

If Kaldalis were to turn his attention to the window, he'd find a black cat standing on the roof next to his room tapping on the window with a paw as though it wants Kaldalis to let it in, it's green eyes curiously watching the armoured knight.

@Quote5

As Karter pushes his way through the crowd it doesn't take long for him to arrive where the person gesturing to him was, but there's nobody familiar anywhere nearby...

However, not far away, down another corridor of the bazaar, he spots another person gesturing to him. From a distance he can't quite make out if he knows them, but he can tell that they're gesturing to him, and not someone else.

@citrouille

Vesania frowns and shakes her head. "Yeah, I'd enjoy staying but I've got some things to take care of unfortunately..." Sighing, she looks at Allysse and smiles. "But I'm sure I'll see you around! And if you need me, I live near the Bazaar, so come look for me if you need me!" She says, smiling as she turns around and leaves the building, waving as she does so.

As Boris wanders the shop looking at all the candy, the shopkeeper couldn't help but roll his eyes at a grown man behaving like a child. Still, a customer is a customer, so he wouldn't say or ask any questions about his behaviour.

As Kura enters the shop, thinking of the colour green of all things, the shopkeeper sighs in relief. A customer who wasn't weird.
"Ah, hello there miss!" The shopkeeper says, smiling. "Hoping to buy some sweets..." the shopkeeper falls silent for a moment. "Oh hey weren't you here before? If you've come to buy more cookies then you're out of luck, that girl outside bought all the cookies I had left. Maybe if you ask her she'll give you some, but if candy is what you want then I can sell you some!"

Karter is kinda confused that the person who was beckoning him over disappeared. But since there is someone else beckoning for him might as well go over there. He again makes his way through the crowd, which is probably less dense at this point. He goes through faster this time.

Kura pouted at the mention of the fact that there were no more cookies “Aww...” With a sigh, she turned to briefly look through the rows upon rows of colorful candy, occasionally glancing over to the man who followed her over here.

Not wanting to be rude, she picked out two spiraling suckers and stepped up to the shopkeep, digging into her pocket and pulling out a handful of gold and silver coins. After a brief amount of time trying (and failing) to math out the cost, she just picks out the two gold coins that looked the prettiest and handed them over.

Kaldalis looks to the window as he hears the rain drop on his window. He gazes for a second before turning back to his journal and continuing to write. A minute or so, he could hear that there was a distinct sound accompanying the rain. He looked to the window again to see a black cat tapping on the window, its black fur pelted by raindrops. He decides to open the window and carry it in, he's slightly irritated by the mess the cat is making with its wet fur but continues nonetheless. He gently lays it down on the floor before opening the doorway to the hall, nudging it to leave.

Boris

@Zyngard@Dartbored Fairy

While looking over the candy jars and thinking hard on his decision, Boris knew about the occasional glance from the girl in the store with him. A couple of times he turned his eyes to meet her glances, though biting his lip, wondering if maybe she had the same problem he did. Choosing candy sure was hard, so she might have needed help deciding. But she didn't say anything and Boris didn't interfere... at least not straight away.

In the end, Boris just went ahead and decided on a few candy types from each of the jars. Why pick one type of candy when you can just have all of them? With his selection made, he headed to the counter where he heard the shopkeeper tell the little miss they were out of cookies. He also watched as the girl offered the man gold for the swirly candy she had chosen. Now, Boris wasn't a smart man, and sure, candy was a really good thing and somewhat of an expensive treat, not to mention one of the best inventions ever - but he didn't need to be smart to know that that much gold was way too much for Candy.

Before the shopkeeper had a chance to respond to the gold Kura offered, Boris slammed down a large jar of cookies on the counter in front of the little miss. These cookies had chocolate bits, the same he took from the kitchen of the dead ladies house before chasing the bacon with ghost. Although the jar hitting the counter was loud, or even frightening, the big goofy smile on Boris's face may have set Kura at ease.

"You don't have to buy cookies." Boris told her, as if his words would make everything okay; "I got these cookies from a dead lady. The dead lady doesn't have a stomach anymore, so she won't be needing them." He smiled in his most caring manner, and added; "You can reach into the jar and take as many cookies as you want, but I sure do hope you save some for Boris.” Boris’s eyes widened with suspense, telling her; “But you can have candy too..." He then took is sights from the girl and placed his own selection of candy on the counter. Beside the candy, he placed a small number of silver coins and slid them towards the shopkeeper. His expression for the shopkeeper was a curled-lip look of menace - enough to scare the most formidable of men - making sure the shopkeeper thought twice about taking the girls gold - while at the same time Boris continued directing his words at the little girl, saying; “You better keep your gold, little miss. Boris can pay for your candy as well.”

While the girl and shopkeeper may have responded, and not wanting or even caring for change, Boris opened his candy tin; his tongue sticking out with concentration as he placed his candy in the tin, popped one minty sucker in his mouth, and sealed the lid.

Madison

It was a tremendous thing, if not a troubling, to see Madison finish devouring the amount of food she ordered. Many of the customers in the diner continued to watch the spectacle like they had paid good money for a freak show at a carnival. Their looks of awful disbelief changed to that of putrid horror when Madison then released a loud reverberating sound of flatulence. Many sickened customers ran out of the diner like people escaping a gunman, spilling out onto the street, while inside, Madison stood from her seat and left a large gold piece on the table to pay for her meal.

In the wake of the fleeing customers, Madison stepped outside the diner, appearing somewhat contented as she investigated the neighborhood with a slow look around. She had her next important matter of business to attend to; getting more gold.

Like the wretched woman she was, she looked for a passer-by to ask - Her choice being a man of slight build who she grabbed by the collar, making him endure her stench as she pulled him close, breathing her breath of tooth decay and splutters of spit over his face as she demanded answers –

“Tell me the best way to get me some gold around this dung hole!”

As Karter arrives at where the person was, he finds nobody there waiting for him. In fact, the person who had been gesturing him over has seemingly vanished, and Karter has arrived at a dead end.

The store in front of him however is an interesting one. A small, fancily decorated store tended to be a bald, middle-aged man wearing clothes that wouldn't seem out of place on a monk, except they're a dark green. A sign above the store read 'Mors's Arcane Emporium'. The man seems to notice Karter's arrival, and puts away the book he was reading.

"Well now, a visitor. Did fate bring you here, or do you need anything?" The man says, smiling as a black cat hops up onto the shop counter and lies down to take a nap.

@Zyngard@Hokum

"Ehm... Miss-" The shopkeeper seems to be about to object to Kura's coins when Boris interferes by slamming a jar of cookies down in front of Kura, mentioning a dead woman and staring at the shopkeeper in a menacing method. The man takes a step back, before hesitantly nodding and taking Boris' silver coins. "Ah, thank you sir." The man says as he puts the coins away.

As Kaldalis puts the cat down on the floor and gestures for it to leave, the cat turns to look at Kaldalis. "How rude, I'll have you know I'd rather not leave yet." The cat says with a feminine, human voice. Turning around, the cat hops onto the table and lies down next to Kaldalis' helmet.

"You seem like an interesting fellow, so I think I'll stay for a while. Besides, it's cold and wet outside, I don't want to go back out there now."

@Hokum once more

Madison's victim manages to not pass out or vomit at the sight and smell of Madison. Quickly realising that there's not much he can do to get away, he points roughly to the north. "t-that way. There's mines there. You can find gold in mines." He stammers, hoping to be quickly let go of.

Kaldalis: So, you can talk.

Kaldalis didn't seem surprised that the cat was able to speak, he had seen things like this before. He turned around and walked over to another desk, pouring himself a cup of hot water from a jug that he took from downstairs earlier. He moved the cup to his lips and took a sip before setting the cup back down on the desk. Walking back to his chair and sitting down, he took a deep breath before speaking again.

Kaldalis: Very well, you may stay for the night, but when I leave the next morning I expect you to do the same.

The cat takes its leisurely place next to Kaldalis's helmet. Since Kaldalis has made his decision to let the cat remain, the door to the room is now closed.

When Kaldalis completes his welcoming speech to the feline, there is a knock at the door. The knock at the door is soft, sounding like that of a small fist rapping three times. When this occurs, the cat reacts as one confounded by pleasure. Her eyelids become heavy, as though she is receiving a caress from an unseen hand. While Kaldalis notices the cats responsive behavior, a second succession of raps at the door are heard.

This time the three consecutive knocks at the door are loud and abrupt, heavy enough to rattle the door in its frame. Furthermore, at this very same time, the window of the room cracks down the center with a piercing sound, while the mirror in the bathroom can be heard to fall from its placing and shatter when it hits the floor. More than this... as Kaldalis can hear and see these combined events taking place, a flood of blood begins to seep into the room from the crack beneath the door.

Now, the cat begins to purr. Her purrs are loud, reverberating through the room like that of a steam engine starting.

Will Kaldalis answer the door?

Kura looks curiously at Boris as he slams down a jar of cookies, and her eyes widen, her mouth opening in a wide grin as she pumps her fists into the air “Yay! Thank you Mister Boris!” She grabs her coins back and the candy, slipping both into her pouch as she grabs one or two cookies from Boris’ cookie jar, biting into one happily.

Kaldalis hears the first set of knocks on his door. He walks over to his desk and slips his helmet back on, eyeing the cat as he does so. He notices its sudden change in behaviour as it hears the knocks, feeling suspicious about who might be knocking. Hearing the second set of knocks, now louder, he walks towards the door, attempting to open it. Before he could reach it however, the third set of knocks could be heard, which rattles the door, breaks the bathroom mirror and breaks his window. Kaldalis steps back, unsheathing his sword and preparing himself for combat. The cat also suddenly purrs at an incredibly loud volume, further unnerving him. As he carefully steps towards the door to open it, he notices the blood seeping from under the doorway. He reaches his hand out, grasping the handle before pulling it open, ready to face whatever was waiting for him on the other side.

Boris

@Dartbored Fairy@Zyngard

"Heh-heh-heh," Boris chuckled and ruffled the little girls hair with his giant hand. He was smiling quite broadly now, maybe a touch goofy, but feeling good that he made the girl happy. He puts the rest of his cookies back in his pack with the now full tin of candy. He heads for the door to leave, but is stopped by a thought and turns back to the girl, suggesting;

"Boris is leaving now, little miss. You can come too if you want to. I don't think this town is safe for little girls, but Boris can protect you from bad people. I know there's bad people around because I saw a little Missy just like you. Some bad people hurt her bad. She was bleeding from her private place a lot. I'm going to find those bad people who hurt that other little girl. They aren't going to be getting even one cookie from Boris - nuh-ah! Not even a crumb."

Boris then gave Kura a hefty reassuring nod and walked out the door. Outside it was still raining, but Boris didn't care at all about that. Water never hurt no one. Sitting on a wall near the shop was yet another little girl. Boris had noticed her before entering the shop but didn't really pay her much mind at all. She was wearing tattered clothes and was holding a black umbrella. She mustn't have liked water at all.

As the rain trickled down his face, Boris bit his lip in an effort to contemplate his options; talk to the girl or not. The more he examined her the more it felt like talking to her might have been a good idea. After all, she wasn't old enough to be a mean girl yet, and she also had cookies. She was eating them from a sack beside her on the wall. People who liked cookies couldn't be that bad.

Boris approached the girl with a half smile, half curious expression, and when close enough stopped to point at her umbrella, which is when he noticed the girl seemed to be trying to keep the rain off the cookies more than she was trying to keep it off herself. He dropped his hand, changing his strain of thought, and said;

"Boris sure does like cookies a lot too. Yours look like they might taste even as good as mine." He thinks some more before adding; "I got my cookies from a headless man and his empty wife. She doesn't have the stomach for cookies anymore." He thinks again, stepping in close to take his notebook from his pack, using her umbrella to shelter the paper from getting wet. He opens up the page to show her the headless man, as well as the message that had been written with blood on the wall. While she's taking a look, Boris continues to explain:

"I also met an invisible little girl. She seemed upset because her private area hurting a lot. Her private area was bleeding too - I think she wants Boris to hurt the bad people that hurt her. She was the one who wrote this message. If you live around here then maybe you know something about everything.... Maybe you can tell Boris how to find those bad people that hurt her. Also..." Boris shifts his eyes around as if suspicious of the whole town, "...I don't think this town is safe for little girls like you. But you do have a nice umbrella, so maybe they'll leave you alone."

Madison

@Dartbored Fairy

Madison's eyes were twitching wildly as she glared at the man and listened to what he had to say. When he finished speaking she snarled and shoved him away from her hard enough to have him land in a forming puddle.

"Who the hell invited the rain?!" She yelled, as she started marching north. She didn't like the rain, water made her uncomfortable and itchy, and it certainly didn't help in keeping her filthy appeal. She soon stopped at a tavern and entered, growling as she shook the rain from her matted hair, spraying her now damp stench on anyone within range.

"What the hell are ya look'n at?" She snarled at the people gawking at her. "Can a woman get a drink around here or what?"

Madison would have to wait out the rain before heading to the mines farther to the north.

Kaldalis opens the door to find the Innkeeper standing before him, though it would seem the man has changed a great deal since Kaldalis last laid eyes on him. The innkeeper’s head is listlessly angled to one side and his skin is now morbidly pale. His eyes have the glaze of death and his throat has been torn out, the blood from which has drenched his green jacket, brown trousers, and is flooding the floor. Though the man is obviously dead, he nevertheless appears to be standing of his own will.

No doubt Kaldalis is at least a little disturbed by this display, though perhaps not as much as he will be. The short instant after opening the door is ended when the corpse speaks:

“Relax, let us play with you.”

Its voice however is not that of a man, rather that of a young girl. Unfortunately, Kaldalis has no time to respond before the corpse strikes Kaldalis in his chest plating. The blow is inhumanly fast and powerful and launches the warrior clean across the room where he slams back-first into the wall.

The obviously possessed corpse now shuffles inside the room. Behind the corpse, the door slams shut. The cat has since stopped purring. The corpse shifts its eyes towards the feline for a short moment, then turns its dead gaze back to Kaldalis. The cat sits up on the table, apparently eager to see what will happen next. With its limp hand, the corpse then prods and grasps at the buttons of its crotch in a clumsy attempt to expose itself to Kaldalis. While doing so it continues speaking to Kaldalis in the voice of a young girl:

“You know you want this.”

The corpse has now managed to uncover its blood dripping appendage for Kaldalis, which it then proceeds to rip from its person with a violent yanking motion. It then throws the detached appendage across the room at Kaldalis.

“Here’s your sweet candy!”

The cat watches the appendage fly across the room in Kaldalis’s direction before quickly diverting her eyes, now speaking to the corpse in a casual, familiarizing tone:

“Hello… Sarah.”

Karter is mildly confused by the events that just took place. He isn't hallucinating, is he?

"I can only guess that fate brought me here. Don't know what else could." Karter sais as he pulls out his bag of silver coins and takes one out to show the trader in front of him. "Right now I'm just looking for a place I could trade these in for the local currency. You don't by chance know the exchange rate, do you?"

The squeaking of the lever was definitely enough to break Ilyssa’s slumber. While not thinking much of it at first, her curiosity is piqued upon noticing the bloody footprints on the floor. Pushing herself off the bed, she followed the noise to the bathroom door, just in time to witness the water becoming tainted with blood. The sight doesn’t seem to unnerve her, nor does the childish giggle, though she does seem to become more alert.
“Who are you? And if I may ask, what are you doing here?”

Strangely enough, the ferry ride was an unexpected turn of events, one which the cloaked knight delighted in with a reenactment of a scene they'd only read of. A salty sea breeze of the bay, and waves rolling and crashing against the hull of the repurposed cargo vessel in time to the billowing of the figure's cloak with the periodic gusts. They'd even propped a foot up on their pack for added dramatics, one hand resting on the hilt of a sheathed sword of sorts while the other cradled their helmet under their arm.
Picturesque poise betrayed the stiff knees of standing in such a pose for hours and stinging eyes from the spray off the bow. Still, it was preferable to being below deck as the stink of the rest of the unwashed crew and whatever word for the evil that spilled out of a particular room was had driven them topside.

And so, Kaitra had spent as much time as they could airing out, afraid the stench would unbecomingly cling to them. It was this thought process that brought them to splurge a bit after taking up a room at the local seaside in shortly after arriving at port.
Stiff knees and foul humors melted away in the suds of a hot bath, though food would unfortunately have to wait as the knight had rationed out their funds to pay through the week and as such, they would starve cleanly rather than growing fat as a hog in its own squalor. Ideally, the town and its troubles would provide enough thankful coin for this dilemma to sit far in the back of the bubble-obscured individual who sighed as the thought had actually begun to spoil the gentle moment of reprieve.
Thoughts always had a habit of getting in the way of silence; partially why the knight hadn't been cut out for serving the church. Scented candles and starlight usually served as a backdrop to the ritual, though a view of a foreign sea would have to suffice.

A fluffy white fox lounged on the bed, making small 'murph' sounds as she stared at her companion taking their sweet in the tub, and then its eyes lazily watching them cross the room and back as they got dry and dressed. The shine of the metal the illustrious armor held twinkled in its eyes and it perked up with a yawn before leaping onto the knight's outstretched arm and climbing up to roost back on their shoulders.
"Right zehn...shall we do good?" the knight's light voice chirped, turning their head to almost boop noses with the fox who sighed out a long disinterested whine.
Kaitra frowned with a slight undertone of perplexity. She wouldn't presume to understand the animal, though had hoped for a response maybe a tiny bit more reassuring than it griping like a child. "I vill find food for us both, do not vorry yourself, Keepa..." she sighed, eliciting a small wag of the tail at the mention of food.

Sliding a helmet on so simply, clasping the buckle under their chin and flipping down the visor and 'Ahnciel' stepped out of 'his' room after giving a mirror double finger-guns and softly cooing "Noblesse oblige~" in as convincingly of a masculine voice as they had practiced.

Kaldalis was indeed disturbed by the sight before him. The innkeeper was obviously deceased and seemed to have been brutally murdered in cold blood.

An undead? Here?

The corpse then spoke, albeit in a young girl's voice, eliminating the notion that this was a zombie of sorts. It then punched him right in the chest, and although this was the most protected part, Kaldalis felt much more pain than he should. He was sent flying, ultimately crashing into the stone wall and leaving a large crater in his midst. Adrenaline began pumping into his veins as he recovered from the attack as quickly as he could, standing up and holding Kuy'val Dar in a fighting stance. As the door closed behind the corpse, it spoke once again and attempted to reveal its private parts to him, which added to Kal's disgust even more. Revealing itself and yanking its appendage off, the corpse then threw said appendage straight at Kaldalis. However, his reflexes proved adequate as he easily sidestepped the projectile and muttered with a sense of disgust.

Kaldalis: Spirit.

He then dashed towards the corpse, raising his blade, before delivering two quick slashes of his sword. The first slash is aimed at the base of the neck of the corpse in an attempt to behead it, while the second strike would quickly follow up the first with a slash to the waist area, which would cut the corpse clean in half. After his attack, he would move backwards with his sword in a defensive stance, in case it would attempt another attack.
