I once turned $8,000 into $12,000 in the stock market, but that was a very long time ago. That ship has sailed and the money spent.

Tonight in Krav Maga we did this punch combination that was both insane and fun.
1. Flick jab while pulling trail foot forward to establish a base. The flick jab is just a distraction, a slap in the face.
2. Left round kick to the head. The flick jab sets up the kick. If you do it right, the kick comes less than a second behind the distraction.
3. Right Cross, left upper cut and right cross.
4. Left jab.
5. squat to lower elevation as you throw a right cross to the body.
6. Left spear jab as you stand back up.
7. Right round kick to the left quad.
8. Right cross with power
9. galloping left round kick to the inside of lead leg.
10. Right cross with power.
11. Spinning back kick.

It took awhile to get it down, but I was able to do this combination at least a half a dozen times in a row.

oh shiiit. I lost 30 dollars in the stock market today and my judgement is cloudy. I dream that i'm going to hit the homerun in every stock I enter and I can't listen to my logical predictions. my desires are affecting my ability to reason and logically predict. I should stop and trade another day

I lost my first best friend in life to illness before either of us turned 7.

I miss her.

Being a lifeguard this summer taught me that most parents suck at watching over their kids.

Also, my favorite customers are the ones who just sun bathe and never actually put a foot in the pool.

Yes, synthetic (faux) rocks are not real and you can find them at parks, zoos, aquariums, museums and many other places.

Tch, I mostly scowl at them. It is a habit. I scowl when I am mad, happy or sad. Guess I am just... The Director of the International House Of Scowls.

I mean, I've heard of fake rocks. I'm just used to my rocks being real.

You need to stop looking at this in short term. These are long term investments. If you buy a stock at $2 a share and it drops to $1.90 the next day. So what!? You haven't lost any money until you sell. As long as you don't sell, you are good to go. Eventually, it will come back up. Remove emotion from the equation and you will do all right.

@Gunther I'm daytrading! I'm not aiming for a trade that extends beyond a day. All my trades are within the same day and they usually last minutes but sometimes hours. It's a whole different world than trading more than a day.

But you're right to remove emotion, but i can't help it. when i'm winning, i feel exhilarated, and i trade better. when i'm losing, negative emotions cloud my judgement. i think the best way to get rid of emotion is to think of money as not important, that you don't even want money, that way if you starting losing, it's no big deal and you won't experience all these negative emotions like distraught or pain or 'whoa! holy crap!'

The plants I had tended to in the garden have begun yielding results. While the flowers have mostly come and gone, there are now pumpkins of various kinds. Throughout the year there had been wild flowers, sunflowers, and ultimately now these additions.

For better or worse, I generally try to stay away from video games, especially free ones, that have even a small negative to mixed consensus(e.g. game is rated 4.2 stars out of 5, but some people talk about things like interface issues, crashing problems, it being pay to win, etc.); this, in turn, usually causes me to feel conflicted about games that would otherwise appeal to my preferences and not at least try them.

I was playing Call of Duty: WWII this evening. I always seem to pick up on the flaws in the game. I know the designers did an extremely good job in creating the game, but the historian in me can't help myself. The thing I noticed today was the Platoon Sergeant wore the rank insignia of what today is referred to as a Sergeant First Class. In today's army, this rank would be accurate, but not in 1944. In 1944, that rank insignia was referred to as Technical Sergeant Grade 2. This rank was used by Rear Echelon soldiers or US Army Air Force Personnel. It is not a rank used by front line infantry. The Platoon Sergeant was authorized Staff Sergeant which is three stripes and one rocker. Technical Sergeant Grade 2 was three stripes and two rockers. Every time I saw the rank, I cringed. But I'm sure most casual gamers do not know the difference and it does not impeded their enjoyment.

On another note, I tend to burn through ammo pretty quick, even with a bolt action rifle or a gas operated M1 which has a mag capacity of only 8 rounds.
