Beginning of a long nightVeria: Rewriting his personality? Is he really going that far?
Makis: If it comes to that...yes.
Veria: How can you allow this?
Makis: You see...Even if we somehow end up saving the city, we still have out of control psychic users to deal with.
"That's why originaly, the DUST Organization was teaming up with the Sumeragi Group in the first place, not only to strenghten ourselves against the oncoming threat, but also to find a way to subdue it. Both groups would trade research data and technology in order to increase their power.""However, if even that isn't enough, Sumeragi has a backup plan that has been on the works for a while now."Makis: Sometimes, the end justify the means. If we want to make sure that a war doesn't break out, we have to control the Psychic Users. It's a sad truth, but I've come to accept it long ago when I first joined DUST.
Veria: Heh...So I guess in the end, both sides aren't that different.
Makis: Maybe...But at least we didn't target people who we didn't had any proof that they were psychics. That's just not how it works.
Veria: Say what you want, but you're still resorting to slavery anyway. Do you think you can get away with this without Gunvolt coming after you?
Makis: The future is always uncertain. Besides, I feel that he'll know who's the most dangerous enemy right now. We can always settle our differences later.
Veria: ... (I need to get out of here...)
Spring Zone - StreetsReeta: A-Alright...be careful... (Is he sensing someone's presence? My five senses aren't detecting a thing...)
Meanwhile.
**Routine still playing**
Kalina: So, did you visit their graves this month?
Rayla: Yeah. Just a few days ago actually. (The day where I met Andorina.)
Kalina: I see. Maybe we should go together one day, what do you think?
Rayla: Give me a call when you're not busy with work.
Kalina: Deal!
Rayla: How is Erina doing by the way?
Kalina: Same sweet child as always.
Kalina: But, I've noticed that she has been missing her father's presence. He used to come home once a while, but since the second semester of last year, he hasn't been around anymore. We still keep contact by phone sure, that isn't enough for her.
Rayla: I see...Mister Grant is working hard on that task.
Kalina: Harder than before...He's been really fired up about this. Since you're planning to fight for the city again, You'll most likely meet him on your journey.
Rayla: I can imagine.
Kalina: Tiane my dear, you've been silent this whole trip.
Tiane: Well of course...You were just talking about things that I have no idea what the context is about.
Kalina: I see...then how about we talk about boys?
Tiane: Why?
Kalina: Say Rayla, do you have some handsome devil in your sights?
Rayla: I can't see myself falling in love...
Kalina: Eeeeeeh? Really? I thought that a fine and pretty girl like...
Rayla: Gh!
Kalina: Ah yes...There's that...You're allergic to positive compliments about your appearance.
Tiane: She had her hair down two days ago. It was amazing.
Kalina: Really? Dang, I wish I could've seen that. Rayla really got her mother's good looks...It's a shame she doesn't want to show it.
Rayla: Can we stop talking about my looks?
Kalina: Fine, what about you Tiane?
Tiane: Nah...Unlike Rayla, I'm not so sure if I can ever fall for someone. I mean, the guys at the Freelers Gang are fun and all...But I never felt myself attracted to anyone at all.
Kalina: Awww...you two really don't know what you're missing out.
Tiane: Meh...
Kalina: Sigh...If my little Hugie was still between us...I'm sure he'd be head over heels for you Rayla.
Rayla: (Well...He was my childhood friend...I can guess those would have a better chance with me...)
Rayla: (Hmmm...when I really think about it though...)
"Would I be a different person if those two were with me today?" Rayla started thinking about other worlds. Thinking that maybe they were more than just alternate universes, but alternate possibilies as well.
Rayla: (Wait, if they are alternate possibilites...I might have to rely on time travel for that...I don't think I should be messing with that. Fiction always makes a big deal about using it with care. Heh, the Ancestor Mage talking about fiction...Great...)
Rayla: (A world with my friends and family alive...and my two siblings being born...I wonder if such timeline exists...)

Ayamine GakuenBarry: There they are.
Hyde: Huh?
Hyde is a bit surprised that two of the most popular students were at the front entrance, looking like they were waiting for someone.
Kenneth: Good Morning Mr. Bariand and Miss Saika.
Hyde: EH!? You're friends with them Kenneth?
Kenneth: About that...There's something I want to ask you guys about.
Nicholas: Something?
Saika: Wait. Drake hasn't arrived yet...let's wait him for a bit.
As she said that, Daniella arrived, accompanied by someone else. As always, the white haired girl had her focus on a book.
Hinata: (How many Ancestor Mages are going to gather? Even Mina from the Shaddrus family is here.)
Daniella: Good Morning.
Mina Violet Shaddrus: Hey there! I heard things are about to get busy today.
Hyde: I haven't heard anything like that. Can you explain what is happening Kenneth?
Then, Hiagor stopped to greet them.
Hiagor: Great morning kids. Ready for another exciting day at school?
Hyde: You're sounding like a kindergarden teacher...
Hiagor: Hmmm...That doesn't sound like a bad career choice in case my detective job doesn't take me far.
Barry: Do not panic Hyde Kido. I assure you that you're between allies. The only thing I can say out loud is that we might need your help.
Hyde: Me? (But why?)
???: Hey hey hey! What's this? What's these two important figures doing around us commoners.
All of a sudden, a curious student carrying a wooden sword appears. The other students knew her as the current head of the Kendo Club.
Barry: Greetings Miss Anzaki Kou.
Andressa/Anzaki Kou: It's Andressa Kou!!! How the hell do you even know I used to go by Anzaki?
Nicholas: Wait, Andressa is actually named Anzaki?
Barry: I call people by their true names, that's all there is to it.
Andressa: That doesn't answer my question...Jekyll, Nichol and Ta-ta, explain to me what is happening?
Hyde: That's what I want to know...
Nicholas: Same here...
Hinata: I have no idea. (Is Ta-ta supposed to be my nickname?)
Daniella: I think we should tell her what really is happening. More help wouldn't hurt since this concerns her as well.
Mina: You sure? She's just a civilian...
Saika: I second that. This might be too dangerous.
Andressa: Heh! Don't write me off yet even though I have no idea what's going on.
Barry: Hmmm...Why not? I feel like she can help us just as much.
Saika: W-Well...If you say if its okay, then I guess it's okay...
Mina: (Of course she goes right to his side when he declares his opinion...)
Andressa: Neat! So, what is this about again?
Barry: For now, we're waiting for Drake Celest Gold.
Andressa: Ahahahaha! the number one of the kendo club after me. He's really our star child!
Mina: (Even though he mostly trains by himself.)
Andressa: Well, I don't see why not? Seems like something big is about to start.
Daniella: I assure you that it will.
Hinata: (I just hope everything goes well with her around.)
Saika: Isn't that him?
The one they were waiting for had arrive. He was really perplexed by the amound of familiar faces that were aparently waiting for him at the school's front gate.
Drake: Um....Good Morning?
Andressa: Geez, who the heck says good morning with a question mark?
Drake: Well...Me aparently...
Hyde: He's here. Now care to explain what's going on?
Barry: Follow me, there's a place where we can talk in private.
Nicholas: (Well, knowing Barry, it's most likely something related to an incident. I have no real reasons to decline.)
Drake: Wait, I'm coming too?
Andressa: They've been waiting for your arrival to tell us what is happening, so hurry up before the suspense kills me.
Drake: I doubt you can die by that... (Oh boy...I wonder what this is about.)
They entered the school's building, heading towards the student council room, that's where they would have their reunion.
Yurei Seimei Mansion - Front GateMusic:
Kriegsschaden This time, they were even. Both sides couldn't let themselves be hit by any attacks. Himika blocked and dodged the many bullets directed at her and Darius had to keep his distance as much as possible, hoping that either one of his bullets hit her or that the condition of her body worsens from all the strain she's been putting. One of the guards that were fighting the Glaive Soldiers even contemplated helping, but he knew that first, the other opponents needed to be defeated.
Darius: Kurgh...Fall Down!!!
Himika: Argh...Don't fail me now body...
Their were breathing heavily, with Himika focusing more on keeping hers in check instead of grimacing from all the pain. She had a guess that there was some fractured bones here and there, but worrying about it would be her loss, so she kept moving, trying to go as fast as possible and even beyond that. Darius noticed her getting closer and closer. If he didn't do something fast, he would lose to what he was calling a walking corpse. Just the fact that they were a family that dealt with spirits creeped him even more, wondering if every member was secretly a zombie that wouldn't stay dead.
But he knew that she was a living being, the pained screams from before were real. The moment that he was enjoying her defeat was real. as long as he had those in mind, the fear that he felt like a temporary moment of foolishness of his part. He shouldn't lose focus, the treasure was right there for the taking, nothing would get in his way.
Himika Haaa!!!
Darius: What!!!
By using as much enhancement magic on her legs as possible, she managed to momentarily move faster than him, getting behind the man's back when he was ready to jump backwards again. Darius knew that dodging the incoming attack was out of question as it would take too long to react to her incoming attack, he had to do it first or else the battle would be over for him.
Himika: This is...
Darius: YOUR END!!!
The girl threw a swing, the man aimed the gun at her body. The push of a trigger and a slash, one of those would reach first...
**Music stops**
But neither attack reached their intended target. The blade stopped at the man's neck and the trigger wasn't pulled. Himika and Darius where in a sudden standstill, as if something had stopped them from moving.
Darius: What...Is happening...My head...It feels heavy...
Himika: (But this can't be...the spirit's presence shouldn't be that intense here...what's going on? Unless...)
"Someone was intentionally raising their spiritual aura to attract more spirits."Darius: You witch...what have you done this time?
Himika: No, it wasn't my fault...It was...
Yurei Seimei Mansion - Entrance to the Sacred GroundsTheo: This battle is over!
With his hand covered in some kind stone gauntlet, Theo managed to hit the Glaive Soldier out of the air and straight to the ground. Then, he summoned more earth spikes to restrict him.
Theo: ...
Kaori: Ted...
Theo: There's no turning back after this.
Kaori: ... (So he's going to keep fighting...even if it hurts him in the inside.)
Theo: By the way, do you know how to deactivate these glaives? I don't think they'll just quietly leave if I just release them as how they are.
Kaori: Yes, it's possible to deactivate it from the outside.
As she approached the soldier he had just downed, suddenly, the door to the sacred grounds opened. The other guard who watched the door was surprised to see who was the person he was just seeing. Then...
Music:
I am a newtypeKill him...Kaori: What...
Tear him apart.Theo: Argh...
He deserves to burn!!!Guard: No way...this is...
Suddenly, their bodies were going numb, their minds no longer had space to their own commands. Instead, it was feeling with the screams of the spirits, who wanted to avenger the life that was vanquished before its time.
Theo: (No...I can't...breathe...)
Guard: (This musn't...happen...)
Kaori: (My head...it feels like it's going to explode...)
Thanks to her psychic powers, Kaori was able to somewhat resist the influence. She could move with some difficulty. She tried to help Theo to get up, but soon she noticed that he wasn't breathing.
Kaori: Ted? TED!
Meanwhile, she felt the girl passing by them, heading towards the Glaive Soldier that was on the ground, no longer binded by the earth spikes, but still couldn't move thanks to his mind being overloaded. She picked him up like he didn't had weight at all, then threw him to the wall.
Kaori: (Is she...Hinamori?)
Theo: Ah...
Kaori: (I have to do something...or else Ted might...)
Her forehead touched his, trying to use her powers to protect his mind from the spirit's voices. Right after that, he gasped for air.
Theo: AAAH!!! Huff....Huff...
Kaori: Good...it worked...
Theo: Kaori? What just...
Kaori: Think of this as thanks for defeating those soldiers for me...
Theo: I see...but what about...
He looked at the girl, who was holding the soldier by the head, holding the bloodied sword.
Theo: Hinamori, stop!
Hinamori: Why I should stop? He killed one of ours...he deserves hell.
Theo: You're wrong...You shouldn't reduce yourself to his level.
Hinamori: ...
Theo: The Yurei Seimei Family knows how much value a life has. You shouldn't end his because of revenge.
Hinamori: You're right...I almost made a mistake...
Even if she understood, the spirits were still angered. As much as she considered them like a family from all the years she spent trainning, she still had to abide by the Yurei Seimei's values. She released the soldier, then, started praying, glowing in a serene aura.
Hinamori: Spirits of wrath who are saddened by this tragedy...I beg of you, please, do not cry anymore, as this sinful being has suffered long enough from your curses. He shall know the true value of life, and not commit crimes anymore. So once again, I plead, move on to the paradise, where your brothers and sisters are resting in peace.
Then, the aura gained more intensity, and moments later, the voices of the ghosts were gone. The guard and the Glaive Soldiers gasped for air.
Theo: (Incredible...so this is what the Main Family is capable of.)
Hinamori: Now leave this place...unless you want to suffer more that is.
Knowing they couldn't possibly win with her around, the Glaive Soldiers flew away.
