As they headed towards to school together, Nicholas decided to bring up the attacks from the previous day.


Nicholas: I saw yesterday on the news that the Mysterious Organization attacked again.

Hyde: Really?

Hinata: Them again...

Nicholas: This time, they attacked people they've tried to kidnap before. Sayaka, Kaori and Lilina.
Hinata: They're all from the Fleeting Memories School right? It must've been horrible for them... (I did hear the full story from Tatsuna yesterday. ..Nothing new here.)

Hyde: Darn, I completely missed that.

Nicholas: Why would you want to miss that?

Hyde: No, I mean...If I saw it, I would call the police and all.

Nicholas: Oh, right. For a moment I thought you would actually want to fight them or something...

Hinata: (So it seems Nicholas...)

Kenneth: (...Isn't aware of the Unknown Actor.)

Nicholas: The good news is that the girls are safe right now.

Kenneth: Anything else?

Lucent picked his bag and left out after Rayla and Tiane. From afar, Kaito saw everything and felt a good progress has been made since he was now excited to go out.

After some walk, the four reached Sayaka's residence. She was about to leave, when she noticed all of them.

Sayaka nodded and they began to take the school route. As they walked, Sayaka questioned Xaizor again.


Sayaka: So Xaizor, have you given a little more of thought about joining the Guild?

Xaizor: I... didn't think much about it, actually...

Sayaka: I still believe firmly you should join them.

Marina: But what exactly is this Guild?

Auror: The World Crossers Guild are one of the many authority organizations in our town. We have them, the Holy Order and the police. The last one is a bit more useless.

Marina: I see. So they are like knights.

Auror: Yeah. Especially the Holy Order, which is composed of knights. We even have one at school.

Xaizor: Really?!

Veronica: She's from the other second years. Her name is Mia Esperantio. She's also a member of the student council, alongside Masaru.

Auror: She's friendly, though you shouldn't get on her bad side. She's a stickler to rules and doesn't waste her time to put people on line.

Sayaka: I guess that's a reason why Ayame recruited her, right?

Auror: Yep. That, and the fact that my class has no reps, so Mia's the substitute.

In the middle of the chat, Marina thought about the Guild. She gave Xaizor her thoughts about it.

Sayaka: Eh? Why?

Marina: We do not know when our return will be, so it is best to leave it at that.

Auror: I agree with Marina. Besides, Xaizor isn't disciplined enough to be a member.

Since Kaori's Mother was taken to the guild, Jerry was assigned to watch over Fleeting Memories School, which allowed Kail and Rosa to return to the Guild's building for a while. Veria was sleeping soundly until she suddenly fell from bed.

Veria saw two people in front of her. One was a tall man in a labcoat, while the other was a girl whose hair covered her eyes.

???: I'm that mysterious person have people been speaking about using the pronoun game.

Veria: What?

???: You don't seem to know my face.

Veria: Should I?

???: You should...I mean, I betrayed that place after all, I thought one of your priorities was to go after my head.

Auror: That's right, Mia. They'll be staying in Unitia for a while.

Then suddenly, she heard a noise coming from the other side of the door. The sound of a rocket coming towards them.


Kaori: Ted, watch out!

Ted: Eh?

She grabs his arm, then uses her psychic aura to quickly jump away from the door, escaping the radius of the explosion. The guards were hit by pieces of the gate knocked out.

Himika: What the...

Ted: No way...

The the smoke cleared up, they saw a small group of many glaive soldiers in front of a truck.


Kaori: I don't get it...Why are you attacking again, and here of all places? Won't you have unecessary losses if you attack an Ancestor Family's home?

???: As if we're going to lose to someone who still hasn't fully recovered from the civil war.

They saw two people on the top of the truck, one of them holding the rocket launcher that exploded the gate.


Himika: It seems that we're being underestimated.

Ted: Very...

???: We'll see about that when you're being stomped to the ground.

???2: That's some confidence you have there Darius. Weak enemy or not, you should be careful...We're not getting any backup if things don't go your way.

Darius: Everything will be fine. I always have my eye on the treasure. I'll do whatever it takes to get it.

Kaori: (I don't think the Mysterious Organization would be this reckless...I'm starting to think this Darius guy is doing this by his own volition...)

Himika: You two, go further inside... We'll try to seal as many of these guys as possible.

Then, some guards and servants stood side-by-side with Himika.

Suddenly, Flight-Type Glaive Soldiers left the truck and flew over the walls.

Eve: I thought you wanted to get them yourself.

Eve jumps foward, all of a sudden, her body shot foward, giving the impression that she was gliding.


Himika: (These guys are willing to risk having their minds being overwhelmed by the thoughts of the spirits...They surely have guts...Since their aim is Ted and Kaori, I shouldn't worry too much about cousin Hina...The spirits will do the rest. To be honest, I was really hoping something different would happen. Just patroling everyday with just a few hours worth of sleep is just no fun. No offense to cousin Hina of course, I know how important this was...But I was really craving for some excitement, and these guys will help awaken some muscles that need the exercise.)

Darius: ATTACK!!!

Himika: BRING IT ON YOU JERKS!!!

At Darius command, the Glaive Soldiers initiated the assault. Himika and the other guards all summoned sealing charms and started applied them to the soldiers that had some exposed skin, sealing their movements. Meanwhile, inside, the guards were having trouble with the Flying-Type Glaive Soldiers since they were fully armored. Then, the guards were eventually struck down.


Glaive Soldier: According to the signal of Kaori's glaive, she went that direction. Follow me.

5T: Understood. I'll begin then. *generates data orb*

Gelato: W-What is that?!

5T: This will hurt, so be strong and endure it.

5T shoots the data orb at Gelato, who suddenly feels a sharp pain running through him.


Gelato: Ah... AAAAGH!!
Pod: Entry successful. Initiating hacking protocol.

Both 5T and Gelato went silent. The Pod opened its hatch and began to show an holografic image of the system.



5T and Gelato blinked at the same time. They looked at each other again.


5T: Let's see... Gelato, get up.

But as Gelato tried to refuse, his body suddenly started to lift up, just as 5T ordered him to do.


Gelato: W-Whoa, what's going on?! W-Why the hell am I getting up?!

5T: Your chain of commands was remade. You're not the only one in control of your own body... not anymore.

Gelato: Y-You bastard...!!

5T: Professor, he's programmed to respond at your commands without resistance. That said, it's limited to his own body, but I suppose that already helps.

Himika dealt a palm strike that sent one of the fully armored Glaive Soldiers away. The other guards were doing fairly well too, but with no effective way to damage them, eventually they would get fatigued.


Darius: I'll give it to ya...It seems your crew is fairly good.

Himika: Don't underestimate the servants of this family...Nor the branching family either.

Darius: You look like you have something that can turn the tides...but guess what? I DO TOO!!!

He jumps off the truck, then lands on the ground with his Psychic Aura already expanded to the max.

Guard: Is that some kind of giant made of energy?

Himika: So this is why you were so confident...

Darius: Ancestor Mages are just that, Ancient. Humanity has evolved! Psychic Powers are what it's going to move this world foward now.

Himika: You're completely drowned in your own power...Isn't this what people are trying to avoid? Psychic Users being too destructive? You can't just give a gun to a person an expect him to do good things with it without teaching him what should be the correct way to use.
Darius: This wasn't given to me...It has been within me since I was born.

Himika: (This is my actual first real fight...)

She dodged the next strikes, all of them being close calls due to Darius reaction time. He wasn't letting her get close.


Darius: C'mon! Can't you throw them at me? Or are you too afraid your paper garbage won't work?

Himika: (There's certainly a thrill in this sure...every fiber of my body is under pressure.)

She avoided a kick and a punch that almost smashed her into the ground.


Darius: You're not getting anywhere!

Himika: (But in these circunstances...There's no fun. Fighting for your life is not fun at all. Anyone is sick on the head to think that a fight to the death is something that you can enjoy.)

Darius: HA!!!

Himika soon figured that he knew where she would be next, and planned ahead of that by moving the moment he attacked. Everything bit of trainning she had was giving results. Soon enough, she managed to climb on his back, feeling something familiar in his psychic aura now that she was touching it.


Darius: What? How did you...

Himika: It doesn't take a genius to know that you always have to plan many moves during a battle. (In that case...If I'm going to fight...it's for something worth fighting for...Like, the future of my brother!!!)

She struck a charm on the aura right where Darius was. He felt a brief moment of numbness, but it didn't seem to have stopped him.


Himika: What?

**music stops**


Darius: Whew...Thought I was getting shocked for a moment...but it seems like your little papers really didn't work after all.

Suddenly, a hand emerged from the aura's "back", grabing Himika and crushing her in the truck.


Himika: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!

Darius: Sorry but, no matter what kind of ancient knowledge you have, it's nothing under the superiority of Psychic Users. Now then, time to...HUH?

He felt the grip on Himika getting loose, he tried to concentrate more of his aura into crushing Himika with more strenght, but she ripped the aura apart with her bare hands, jumping away from Darius before he could process what happened. He managed to reform the aura.


Darius: You...what did you do?

Himika: I just understood what you Psychic Users really are on the inside...just a bunch of spirits that learned how to get bigger.

Darius: What nonsense are you speaking?

Himika: And you know what my family does to spirits...we send them to their proper place in the after life. In your case though, I might have to use everything I got. Don't worry, the Mamoru Seimei family only seals spirits, so you won't be going to the afterlife just yet.

Despite her body screaming in pain, Himika decided to keep fighting.

He dashed foward. Despite his size, he still fast enough to quickly close in on Himika. Still, she was the type to overestimate her opponents, always expecting more than what they currently showed, thanks to that, she kept avoiding his attacks while chanting the summoning spell.


Himika: By the power of the Seven Luminaries alof in the darkest expanse...I call upon thee the, the Light of Mizar, to see my will visited swifitly upon my foes!

Darius: STOP!!!

Himika: A blade born to slash the life and cosmos apart: Mandala Slasher!!!

Mandala Slasher, also known as Mandara-Giri, a sword made to slash apart the spiritual energy of the ghosts. There's only one of its kind, and the only one way to obtain it is going through a harsh trial that puts the Mage's skills to their limit. Himika managed to pass the trial and inherited the sword from her father.


Darius: !!!

Himika: Now then...it's your turn to be on the defensive...

Darius: Kurgh...

Darius reduced the size of the psychic aura, leaving only the enough for him to move around without putting pressure on his wounds from the previous battle, he knew that he needed all the speed possible to avoid her attacks. He deduced that she would have her own speed reduced thanks to the wounds she sustained from his previous attack.


Himika: Don't be so confident on that.

Darius: (No way...she's planning for my next movements too? There's no way she's in conditions for that...)

Himika: It's not hard to guess this one. HA!!!

No matter how fast one was, they still needed space in order to dodge anything. With that in mind, Himika made three summoning sigils appear on her right, left and above, each of them firing a barrage of dozens of sealing charms, giving only Darius space to move foward and backward.


Himika: Now that you're focusing solely on speed, if you touch one of these charms, I'll be able to seal your moves.

Darius: (So it's either fight her head on or retreat and be slashed in the back.) Fine by me...


He pulled a remote and pressed a button, summoning a different rocket launcher from before.


Darius: (This isn't strong as the other one, but it still explodes someone just fine...Even if she's Ancestor Mage, she's taking serious damage if it hits.)

Himika: HAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!

She dashed foward. Himika knew he would use a solution that didn't involve using is Psychic Aura for long ranged attacks. All she needed to do was to avoid the incoming rocket and she would win.


Darius: (Now you die!)

He fired the rocket. It travelled at a great speeds, quickly closing in on the girl. But still, Himika jumped over it.


Darius: I see, so she has more space to dodge...but jumping over it was a mistake.

The rocket launcher came with four rockets loaded. He fired two more, knowing she wouldn't be able to dodge them in the air.


Darius: Do you have a plan for that?

Himika: You're seeing it right now.

Darius: !!!

Darius could move only foward and backward, this also counted for anything that he fired. The torrent of sealing charms above him caught the missiles and sent them away.


Himika: It's over!!!

Darius: NOT YET!

He waited for her descent, waiting for her to get close enough so that she could get hit by the last rocket. He aimed it at her when she approached.

He punched the girl in the gut with as much strenght as he could possibily muster, launching her away.


Darius: You cleary have forgotten about my reaction time.

Himika: (No..I was counting on it.)

Then he noticed his arm going numb. It didn't respond to his commands anymore, and he couldn't use his psychic aura in that area either.


Darius: No way...My arm...

Himika: Cough...

She struggled to get up, wincing in from the pain of the previous attack.


Himika: The doctors are going to have a field day with my bones...

Darius: Grrrr....

Himika: What's the matter? You can still use your other body parts...You're lucky I only got your arm...Or are you finally realizing that us Ancestor Mages are worth your attention? You should know that we've been around for thousands of years. We had more than enough time to gather more combat experience than you can possibly imagine.

This time, he pressed a button of his remote and summoned an automatic handgun, similar to the ones Werhan carried.

Their were breathing heavily, with Himika focusing more on keeping hers in check instead of grimacing from all the pain. She had a guess that there was some fractured bones here and there, but worrying about it would be her loss, so she kept moving, trying to go as fast as possible and even beyond that. Darius noticed her getting closer and closer. If he didn't do something fast, he would lose to what he was calling a walking corpse. Just the fact that they were a family that dealt with spirits creeped him even more, wondering if every member was secretly a zombie that wouldn't stay dead.

But he knew that she was a living being, the pained screams from before were real. The moment that he was enjoying her defeat was real. as long as he had those in mind, the fear that he felt like a temporary moment of foolishness of his part. He shouldn't lose focus, the treasure was right there for the taking, nothing would get in his way.

By using as much enhancement magic on her legs as possible, she managed to momentarily move faster than him, getting behind the man's back when he was ready to jump backwards again. Darius knew that dodging the incoming attack was out of question as it would take too long to react to her incoming attack, he had to do it first or else the battle would be over for him.

"Someone was intentionally raising their spiritual aura to attract more spirits."

With his hand covered in some kind stone gauntlet, Theo managed to hit the Glaive Soldier out of the air and straight to the ground. Then, he summoned more earth spikes to restrict him.

Kaori: ... (So he's going to keep fighting...even if it hurts him in the inside.)

Theo: By the way, do you know how to deactivate these glaives? I don't think they'll just quietly leave if I just release them as how they are.

Then, the aura gained more intensity, and moments later, the voices of the ghosts were gone. The guard and the Glaive Soldiers gasped for air.

Knowing they couldn't possibly win with her around, the Glaive Soldiers flew away.

Kaori: Whoa! That's even faster than I imagined. She would've certainly reached us if it wasn't for the guards.

Theo: What's wrong?

Hinamori: That's strange...she talks like a human but...Something is odd about her.

Kaori: Now that you mention it...something is wrong with her voice...I can still hear some emotion...but it feels...forced?

Himika: Seems that whatever happened inside is over now...The spirts vanished completely.

Himika: This is really Cousin Hina's doing. All this trainning really paid off.

Darius: Urgh...Forget it, I'm too tired to continue...Fall back, we're leaving.

Darius jumps to the top of the truck, while the Glaive Soldiers who were still concious entered the vehicle. Himika sat on the ground in relief.


Darius: May we never meet again...

Himika: I promise an even better reception if you decide to come back. We'll serve even tea if you want.

Darius: Bleh...No thanks...

Then, the truck left the place. Himika let herself fall on the ground, letting the pain take in.


Himika: ...On the bright side...the time I'll take to recover will compensate for staying up late to patrol the mansion.
Guard: Master Himika, are you alright?

Himika: I'll be if you take me to Cousin Hina.
Guard: But...

Himika: You know this was her doing, now hurry up. I've been waiting for this day for a long time.

Touko: Wow...this already feels completely different from the prototype that Tatianna uses.

Kail: Eh? But...

Touko: I wonder how much this improved from the prototype. I can't wait.

Renath: Well, I'm a rather weak one at that. Some girl with a huge katana saved me from some monsters. I did a bit of research on the Hollow Night scene, but after seeing how dangerous it was, I just decided to stay away.

Hyde: (Must've been Yuzu.) You did the right thing. It's too bad if there's too many In-Births fighting each other. More "Night" would occur, summoning more Voids...

Barry: Back to the subject at hand...I would like everyone's cooperation.

Saika: There's been a rumor talking about a possible psychic user in this very school.

Nicholas: For real? (Guess it's our turn to be attacked...)

Mina: It's fake though. The guild was the one that spreaded these rumors.

Drake: Whew...was getting a little worried here.

Renath: Except, this rumor might not be that far off for them.

Barry: Exactly...we think that this person will be targeted by a spy.

Hinata: So our job is simple enough, search the spy before he gets to the boy.

Andressa: I expected something more action packed...but oh well. I did say that I would help.

Hiagor: The police is already surrounding the school as we speak. Even if we can't fully trust them, they'll at least serve as distractions if the culprit decides to run.

Nicholas: Poor guys...

Daniella: The question now is, how do we find this spy?

Saika: During lunch time, we'll split into teams. Some will investigate the school while some will watch this student. We'll have at least one member with authority with each team. We might have to check if some of these students aren't carrying something suspicious.

Hyde: As Andressa mentioned, this is simple enough. I don't anyone finding out about my powers so if something happens, I'll let you guys do the fighting.

Drake: Is it really okay for me to help?

Barry: Of course. We're in an area where your brother trusts that you won't be doing anything other than studying. You don't need to fight if it comes to it. We just need people to cover more ground and find the spy as soon as possible.

Hiagor: Now then, time to separate the teams.

Andressa: What if we don't find anything?

Barry: Then it would mean that the mysterious organization didn't take the bait.

Mina: Still, it doesn't hurt checking it out. Everyone is getting rewarded for their efforts anyway. I'll treat you all to dinner when this is over.

Andressa: Woohoo! Now I'm fired up and raring to go. Just you wait, I'll find the culprit and bash his face in.

Drake: No need to go that far.

Barry: Remember, We'll being our mission during lunchtime. Dissmissed.

Kenneth: (We've amassed quite a group here. I find it had for this spy to escape once he's found out by one of us...Still, better proceed with care.)

Hyde: (A psychic user in this school huh? They've been hunted a lot as of late. Even if this amazing student is one or not, he's still in danger. We're not going to let anything happen to them.)

Lucent and the other dream-eater fought like two rabid dogs defending a territory. He kept calling his beasts to aid him, but the other demon also had tricks of her own.


Lucent: (S-She's good... I'm not managing to hit her once.)

???: I have to admit, you're powerful... I wasn't expecting this.

???: However, I'm not done yet! Dream Sign "Dream Catcher"!!

Lucent saw himself locked in a cage of lasers as they all began to disperse and rebound. He ran around, trying to evade them as another cage came up.


Lucent: (Taking her on the ground won't work. I need to fly, now!)

???: Wait, you can fly?!

Lucent: I wasn't planning to, but I had no choice. It's the easier way to evade those lasers.

???: Impressive. But this ends here.

She created four pink orbs and transformed them into beds that went flying violently at Lucent, who managed to evade them. He extended his arm and summoned crows to attack the demon.


???: *evades* You don't give in easily, do you?

Lucent: You won't touch those humans. Not as I live.

Lucent: I'll summon the Forbidden Nightmares if I have to...

Lucent's grimoire started to flash red and its pages began to flip on their own. The demon backed off as the whole scenery changed.


Lucent: Railroad Death Express: Promethean Fire!

As it looked as if they were near railroads, a train seemed to come from the distance. It came in such high speeds, enveloped in flames. As the front car opened its "mouth", a large fireball came out towards the demon.


???: Big blasts? I can do that too. Dream Sign "Blue Navy Runaway Dream"!

The demon created a sphere of darkness and shot in the direction of the fireball. As the two spheres collided, the explosion was loud enough for people to hear and strong enough to blast away all the black fog that hid them.


???: You're pretty good for a halfling... that power of yours to summon Nightmares is something else, indeed.

Lucent: And this is my first time fighting. I don't know where I got the courage...

???: It'll end soon, so don't worry. I'll make sure this will be the last blow...

Lucent: I have somewhere to be, so no.

Lucent summoned more wolves to attack as she countered with cursed woolies. The battle between the dream-eaters seemed to last until another person would jump in.

Auror: Oh good morning and where the hell are you? Seriously, it's normal for Ted to be late, but you of all people?

Auror: Actually, don't explain, I'm pretty sure you have a personal and delicate issue. I'm calling only to see if you're alright. You, Ted, Lucent, Tiane, Kaito, Reeta and Kaori are the ones missing from our group.

Soon, the sound of an explosion was heard by the students. Since he sat close to the window, Auror took the phone out of his ear, opened the window and leaned his head to see the streets. A surprising sight caught his attention.


Auror: Hold up a split second... is that Lucent flying in the skies?! And he's fighting someone else?!

Auror was worried about two things: one, the probability of them destroying part of the town and second, Lucent's power and his sanity. He remembered the trauma his friend has suffered and didn't want another incident like that repeating itself over. He put the phone back on his ear and warned Rayla.


Auror: Rayla, we have a fight near school. There's this strange woman flying and Lucent's fighting her, also in the sky.

Auror: The classes will start soon, so I can't actually leave to help. I know you're late, but just make sure he doesn't do something that's more problematic than using his powers right now.

Auror: I'll call Ted and see if something happened with him. Andorina might be in the way of calling Kaori.

At the gate, Kaito arrived with Reeta when an explosion was heard in the direction they came from. He looked behind, only to see Lucent in the sky with a woman.


Kaito: T-That woman... is she the one Lucent felt back then?! And wait... they're flying?!

Location: Spring Zone - Hakurei Shrine

From atop the shrine, Reimu and Cookie saw the explosion and immediately looked at the scene.


Cookie: There are two people flying over there!

Reimu: One is a boy who I don't know... and the other one is someone I know.

Reimu: I'm heading there, Cookie. You're coming?

Cookie: On it. Let's hurry.

Both left the shrine and began to fly in quick speeds towards the scene.

Rayla: ...Understood.

Tiane: Ok, even I heard that explosion through the phone.

Kalina: Been a while since I've felt this level of intensity...Are there two Ancestor Mages fighting?

Rayla: Not really...but still dangerous if left alone. We have to get there right now.

Kalina parked the car in a forbidden zone, then both her and Rayla left the car.

Kalina picked Rayla up, then both their bodies were enveloped in an electric aura. The next second, Kalina was running at blinding speeds. Tiane soon lost sight of them.

She wanted to be there, to fight alongside him. But she knew that the moment she did that, her identity as a Psychic User would be discovered. Meanwhile, they saw Jerry running towards the fight.


Jerry: Seems like I won't be getting a break from yesterday, HA!!!

With spear in hand and many Warp Weapon Portals ready, he used his Psychic Aura to increase his jump height, going over the buildings in order to get to the fight faster.

Location: Spring Zone - Streets

The battle raged on, without signs of stopping at one split second. The two of them used their powers at will, in hopes of hitting their opponent and gain advantage. However, Lucent was getting tired.


Lucent: Haaaah... haaah...

???: Oh my, are you weakening now?

Lucent: I... can still fight...!

???: That's not what your body tells me. It seems ready to give up.

???: Which is astonishingly perfect for me!!

Lucent: !!

She once again called the beds to attack him. Lucent tried to shield himself, but the barrier he created broke and he was finally hit. He soon saw himself crashing into the ground.

*Antique Terror stops playing*


Lucent: N-No... this can't... be...

???: Dear me, but you're just a child in the end. It was a good fight you put back there, even summoning one of the Forbidden Nightmares.

???: Too bad this is your end, though. Farewell, halfling.
Lucent: (M-My body... why now... I need to get up...!!)

But before she could even attack, a seal hit her and she saw herself falling down to the ground. Reimu landed in front of the fallen Lucent as Cookie helped him.


Cookie: Are you alright?

Lucent: H-Huh...?

Cookie: You fought well. Rest now, help has come.

Lucent: Ah... help... *faints*

Cookie: He fainted. What should we do now?

Reimu: Take him back to the shrine. We'll treat his wounds there.

Cookie: Are you sure this is a good idea?

Reimu: He's in no condition to go elsewhere, I don't know where exactly he lives and you have no idea to where else you should take him. If someone appears looking for him, I'll inform them.

Cookie: Right. Be careful.

Cookie carried Lucent and flew back to the Hakurei Shrine. For now, only Reimu stood to fight the demon.


???: An old face appears. I've never expected to encounter you here, Hakurei shrine maiden.

Reimu: Neither did I... Doremy Sweet.

Seeing from afar, Kaito and Reeta saw that Lucent fell down from the sky after being attacked. Moments later, two people appeared there. And not soon after, a flying man was carrying Lucent and taking him away somewhere.


Kaito: Where they're taking Lucent?! Damn it, I knew I shouldn't have left him behind!

Ignoring all danger present there, Kaito ran towards the fight. He wanted to know where that man was taking Lucent.

Spring Zone - Streets


Reeta: Wait Kaito, it's too dangerous! You're going to get hurt...

Seeing that he wouldn't listen to her, she also started running. Meanwhile, Jerry landed on a light pole, while Kalina and Rayla stopped near Reimu.

Kalina: We're have arrived at your destination. Thanks for using Kalina Maxy Black Express. Come back anytime.

Rayla: (So she is Lucent's opponent...)

Jerry: You over there! You're under arrest for attacking a civilian. I bet you are aware of the consequences if you resist!

Rayla: How about you hold your horses Mr. Guild officer! You're only allowed to take her in once I've gave her the beating of a lifetime for hurting Lucent.

He jumps down from the pole to the ground. As Reimu had said before, Doremy was surrounded by him and Rayla.


Jerry: Barbaric as always...just so you know, this isn't your run of the mill street fight.

Rayla: Maybe you've forgotten who are you talking too.


Suddenly, both she and Kalina elevated their magic auras, both similar in color. Jerald took a step back out of surprise from the shockwave the auras produced.


Kalina: I'm hoping that you can keep up with us, Guild Boy.

Jerry: Don't worry, I'm more than capable of keeping up with Ancestor Mages.

Rayla: Wait, You're fighting too Miss Kalina?

Kalina: Since I'm already here, might as well do it. I'm not really the type to see someone get hurt and do nothing about it.

Rayla: That's fine by me. Fighting together with a Veteran Ancestor Mage is pretty much a blessing.

Kalina: It's been a while since I've been in a fight, but I think I can manage.

Rayla: Alright...so...

Rayla takes another look at Reimu, mistaking her for a member of the Seimei Family.


Rayla: Ah, you over there, keep that seal strong. Just a reminder that if the opponent is magically strong enough they can break it after a while. We'll promise to finish this as quick as possible.

Jerry: I'll adapt to any attack plan you have Rayla. You can trust my reflexes to do so.

Rayla: Got it. Now let's begin.

Rayla cracked her knuckles, looking directly at Doremy. Kalina took a stance used at track fields, while Jerry held his short spear with two hands and kept his senses at high alert. Then, they all started running at the same time. Jerry used his Psychic Aura to shot himself foward, Rayla and Kalina had years of harsh physical trainning and also used enhancement magic to further increase their speed, going faster than Jerry could hope to achieve. Due to their different paces, Kalina would be the first one to reach her opponent since thunder magic gave the user more spee. She went for a leg sweep to throw Doremy off balance if succesful. Rayla would go for a strong punch that would easily send someone of Doremy's stature flying with the sheer force of the attack if it connected. Jerry would use the blunt end of the spear enveloped with his psychic aura to hit Doremy in case his battle partners hit their mark.

Doremy: What?!

Because of their unnatural speed, Doremy wasn't able to keep her visions on sight and ended up being attacked, taking hits from the three fighters and sent in the air.


Reimu: There's my opening!

To accompany them and to not lose momentum, she vanished and reappeared in the air, bringing Doremy back into the ground with a divekick. Reimu quickly used her gohei-whip to pull Doremy back and throw her away.


Reimu: If I were you, I'd give up now. You have no way of winning.

Doremy: Ugh... I'm not done yet...

Reimu: Let's see you say that after this. Charm "Fantastic High-Speed Prayer Talismans"!

Reimu threw three seals in the air and they vanished. When Doremy got up, she was immediately pelted by talismans. Without being able to move, she was rendered open to attacks. Reimu looked back at them while taking another seal out.


Reimu: She won't be able to move. If you want to beat her up, now's the time!

Arriving at the shrine, Cookie took Lucent inside and put him to rest at one of the beds.


Cookie: There... now I just need to wait for Reimu to come back. Surely she won't come back alone.

Cookie: Still, he fought very well. Managing to hold himself like that until the last...

He went in at the front gate as some students were still getting in. Completely nervous, which was reasonable since this was his first day, he ended up bumping into someone.


???: Oops, my bad! I wasn't looking where I was going!

???: Hmm? I don't seem to remember you. Are you a new student?

???: Y-Yes! Today's my first day, actually, so I'm kinda on edge.

Fuindor followed Orie as they went to the faculty office. From afar, another girl, weirdly dressed with a cape, wondered where the new kid would study.


???: Oho, we got a green pea among us. I wonder what class is he in...

???: I think I'm going to quietly follow them. This might be interesting.

Kalina: No mercy?

Rayla: No mercy. That explosion a while ago makes me think she might be more resistant than she looks, so...

Rayla starts gathering a huge amount of magic in her right hand. Kalina starts reciting a chant while Jerry talks in his communicator.


Jerry: This is Jerald, requesting permission to acess Mana's Virtue Cannons. Enemy threat level is possibily class S.
Navigator: Understood, acess granted.

Then, one big cannon and two small turrets appeared from the warp weapon portals. Jerry picked the bigger gun and pointed it at Doremy, using his psychic aura to hold the other turrets in order to press their triggers when the main gun finishes the charging.


Kalina: I stand in the place bathed in heavenly light, thou art where the gate to the Underworld opens!

As she chanted the spell, many magic circles appeared around Doremy, forming some kind of tower.


Rayla: Think twice before attacking this place and my friend! HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!! FENRISWOLF!!!

Kalina: I call upon the divine lighting to rain destruction! INDIGNATION!!!

Jerry: Virtue Cannon: FULL BURST!!!

Rayla fires a supercharged beam of magic, Kalina summons a powerful lighting bolt from the sky while Jerry fires a giant beam of energy from the Virtue Cannons.

As they were heading to the reunion hall, they saw Himika being carried by one of the guards.


Theo: Sis!

Himika: There you guys are.

Hinamori: ...

Himika: Cousin Hina!
Guard: Whoa! Wait!

Himika ran towards Hinamori, losing her balance mid-run because of her injuries. Hinamori picked her before she fell.


Hinamori: You're...Himika?

Himika: I missed you a lot...All these years, I've been praying for your success...and hoping that you return...And you did! Welcome back.

Hinamori: Y-Yeah...I'm home.

Theo: You look like you took quite a beating.

Himika: This is because I fell down some stairs.

Taira: The only stairs we have are at the sacred ground's pagoda.

Himika: Oh...Well, whatever, let me enjoy this moment.

Kaori: Sure. Me and Ted will be going to school now.

Theo: It's going to take a while for people to get used to my other name.

Theo: I used my earth magic.

She got so excited that she forgot about her injuries for a moment and lost balance again due to the pain. Hinamori didn't pick her this time.

As they finished the fight, Kaito appeared, trying to catch his breath. The fight wasn't exactly that far from the school but his anxiousness tired him.

Reimu's explanation was interrupted with Doremy getting back on her feet. The seal Reimu used earlier had lost its strength so she was able to fly again.

Doremy: Of course. That boy is a half-human, half-demon. His powers include the control and manipulation of nightmares, though we do classify as Familiar-types and Aura-types. He falls on the first category, just like me.

Doremy: But I'm still impressed... he managed to summon one of the Forbidden Nightmares. Which is why I wonder... with that much power, how can he go against his own kin?

Kaito: Don't lump Lucent with the likes of you! He would never do such horrible things!

Lucent managed to open his eyes at last, seeing that he was somewhere else.


Lucent: (Huh...? Where is this place?)

Cookie: *enters* Oh, you're awake.

Lucent: You... helped me?

Cookie: Yes, I brought you here to rest. I thought you'd stay off for a long while, but you recovered faster than I'd expect.

Lucent: I see... w-well, thank you, s-sir.

Cookie: No need for thanks. I was just doing what it had to be done.

While carrying a tray, he gave Lucent a cup of coffee.


Cookie: Here, drink some coffee.

Lucent: O-Oh, t-thanks. *drinks a sip*

Cookie: It isn't too sweet, is it? I don't like bitter coffee, so...

Cookie: Do you want more sugar then?

Lucent: B-But I need to go to school... and I left my bag behind...

Cookie: I'll see that my friend gets your bag.

Lucent: W-Wait. There's something inside that it... it needs to be given to my friends.

Lucent nods as Cookie leaves the room in order to call Reimu and inform her that Lucent got up but still needs to rest because of his wounds. Leaving the tray behind, he picked some sugar cubes to put in his coffee so it wouldn't be bitter.


Lucent: I guess five cubes would be enough... should I put a sixth?
