A small sloop approaches the Harbour of the Brown Isles. The evening sunset glittered on a barren hill, tall grass and thickets of shrubs was gathered along the coast. Swampy trees and marshes grew on the uneven lands beyond the coastal village, as seagulls frolicked along the wooden pier. Various fishing boats were moored along the harbour, fishing boats without nets...? The flags of the oversized fishing boats fluttered under the strong coastal winds, and one of those improperly-covered flags have shown a trail of black and white skull. Pirates.

Even at this distance, Jeanette could make out dozens of possible hiding spots. A perfect place for even pirates like them to avoid the Marines' notice. Right beside the Harbour, the cobblestone streets of Brown Isles is a lively one, with vendors peddling their wares, various people of bandanas, dull grey shirt and cutlass trying to bargain at some stalls. The largest building was the local bar, with the number of those 'fishing boats', Jeanette was surprised that a pub like this would be still intact.

She leaned at the railings as the ship inched closer towards the pier. Disembarking, Jeanette headed for the bar.

"One plate of fish & chips, if you'd excuse me..." Jeanette spoke gruntingly at the waiter. Just when she thought the bar that she'd blew up on another island was bad enough, this one takes the cake. A noisy building full of pirates of different crews scattered over various tables. The 3 pirate Captains were seated on the frontmost table, with so much grog and rum that it makes the other pirates look sober in comparison. Not going to join their crew, not until when they're more... clear-headed....?

It was a beautiful and warm day in the east blue’s Brown Isles. The orange hues of the twilight were a fabulous sight that were of a small consolation to an unfortunate deckhand named Dereck that was stuck on guard duty while his crewmates feasted on the ill-gotten gains they acquired on their latest exploits. It was a well-deserved respite for his crew, surely, but why did he have to be stuck on this ship by his lonesome? It infuriated poor Dereck the deckhand, but who was he to oppose his captain, who was undoubtedly drunk on litres of grog by this point. One day they’d have a new newbie, and he could bully them into guard duty! That was the only thought that kept him going right now. That, and the thought that one day he’d commit mutiny and become the captain of this goddamn ship himself. Such were the lofty dreams of Dereck the deckhand.

Poor Dereck was then disturbed from his dreams by the sound of something shattering. The part of his soul that died inside him told him it was his favourite mug, the one he had gotten from his mother! He wondered who he had to throw overboard for this heinous crime, but then he recalled that he was alone on this ship. An intruder? No, surely someone else had just stayed behind! Someone had stayed behind to sleep, of course! Right? No, he was very sure that he had seen everyone leave for that pub. However, Dereck’s eyes hadn’t looked away from the gangplank even once, how was someone else besides him on this ship?

Cautiously he approached a door that’d lead him below deck. Curiously he noticed the orange shimmer of water reflecting the sunset into his weary eyes. How did that get here? He heard a thumping sound, a cabinet opening and a barrel tumbling, and he was certain now that his mind hadn’t been playing tricks on him. With a haste he opened the door and rushed down the first stairway. His eyes caught the faint light of a lantern accompanied by a moving shadow. Faintly he heard a rustling sound. It was coming from the kitchen.

Without pause Dereck barged into the kitchen with a roar. His eyes fell upon long silvery hair covering a brown cloak of which the hood had been pulled back. The figure looked up, her young face stuffed with the crew’s latest catch of fish. Was she a stowaway, must be. Without hesitation Dereck unsheathed his cutlass, pointing it straight at the intruder. “Who are-“ Before he could finish his sentence, his eye caught something behind her, a huge burlap sack with the familiar shimmer of their rightfully stolen treasure. “Thief!”

The young woman looked at the man with a face most unimpressed. The sound she made was one of the dullest surprise. She looked Dereck into his eyes, her eyes looked dull despite of how they shimmered in the light with a slight violet. But that was but for a split second as her eyes shifted into something more dangerous. Dereck had barely time to utter a shriek as she bared monstrous teeth that snapped around his blade, leaving him with barely the handle. His blade was reduced to mere fragments of iron that now littered the floor. He let out a loud shriek as he stumbled backwards as the woman stood up, who was fingering the last bits of iron from her teeth. Her face was eerily familiar, but he had never seen it before in the flesh he was sure. A wanted posted? Yes, he was sure of it now! And realising that, he fled from the scene as quickly as possible. There was no way he was facing a wanted criminal alone.

Seeing the pirate flee, Zarya Samedra let out a sigh. “Guess it’s time to skedaddle.” She said with a grin as she quickly rounded up the final scraps of food. Her mother had taught her to never be wasteful. She laughed gleefully as she went back on deck. She could see the man running in the distance, almost stumbling over himself as he headed to the only good pub in town. She wasn’t going to wait for him to return.

With little hesitation, she jumped over the railing and disappeared into the water.

The Brown Isles were bathed in the warm hues of the evening sunset and the small pirate haven was abound with activity. Bartering, drinking, talks of rumors and new names making waves in the ocean. Being a respite for pirates and the like, you'd think not much could raise brows around the harbor. Today, however there was one sight drawing attention whether it be baffled stares, amused chuckles, or even the occasional catcall. A young woman skipped down the cobblestone road, her striking scarlet hair dancing behind in a couple of long braids. Her smooth mocha skin and defined curves would be enough to draw a particular kind of attention but something else was garnering her bewildered looks.

She stopped her skipping as she came to halt. Tilting her head up slightly she sniffed at the air, concentrating. "Mmm, no good. This place is so dirty and soaked with booze that I can't get a good lock on his scent." She mumbled to herself with a sigh. She turned to one of the vendors with a friendly smile and sauntered over. The owner was a little put off when she came to his stall as he tried to pretend that he hadn't been staring. Though she seemed unfazed by the onlookers as the next she did clearly showed she was serious about the out of place garb she was wearing.

"Excuse me, but would mind telling me if you've seen my brother?" Her question was asked while she slightly raised the hem of the maid uniform she wore and curtsied. The vendor's draw dropped, letting the cigarette he'd been smoking fall to the ground. This girl was actually for real. "Ummm..." He had almost missed the question in his astonishment but without missing a beat the young lady continued. "He's about yea high, black hair...he's actually hard to miss~" She spoke so cheerfully and almost innocently. "Uh, sorry miss. Can't say I have. Are you sure you're not the one who's lost?" He had to ask. A girl like her walking around a place like this, wearing what she was wearing is just asking for trouble. "That's too bad. Thank you anyway~" She seemed to brush off his question, though it was the most politely he'd ever been brushed off. "Well, if you do see him, I'd very much appreciate if you could let me know. You can find my ship at the docks. My name is-" Speaking of trouble, it had just cut her off.

"Hey, well ain't you an eye full. I gotta say, a bold choice but you're definitely checkin' off a box for me, baby." Two unsightly looking pirates had taken notice of what everyone else already had and approached the young woman. "Yeah, we could use a maid on our ship. Our cooks awful and we're all to lazy to keep it clean. And of course your special services would be so very welcome aboard!" One of the two men grabbed her arm. The vendor jumped up from his chair. "Now, that's enough! Leave her alone-" His protest was cut short as the other pirate drew his sword on the merchant. "Tsk tsk, we're just trying to offer her steady employment. Though, we get all the benefits- huh? Agh!" The pirate holding onto the young woman's arm began to cackle until he felt a sharp pain in his wrist. The scarlet haired maid had him in a painful vice grip, her nails digging into his skin. He relinquished his grip on her in order to try and pull away and as soon as he did, the woman spun on her heel. Her amber eyes were wild, striking fear into the pirate just before impact. Placing her foot behind his leg, she grabbed his throat and violently slammed him into the ground. "What the hell? Dammit!" The other pirate moved to swing his sword but as soon as his mate was down for the count this maid was already lunging at him. She brought her leg up in a wheelhouse kick against the blunt side of his sword and pinning it to the ground, causing the pirate to hunch over, putting him at the perfect level to receive a hard knee to the side of the head.

The street fell silent, the people's jaws touching the floor. And as if nothing had happened, the young lady who not even 10 seconds ago fiercely put down her would be abductors, turned to the vendor with a sweet smile. "My name is Bel Cleargarden. If you see my brother, please let me know~"

Eadgar Grauwulf

Seeing as the Brown Isles was a den for pirates to hide the locals knew that trouble would stir up now and then. That is precisely why some would preemptively higher mercenaries and bounty hunters to come every so often in the hopes that if something did go wrong that there would be someone to protect them. Tonight was such a case where this line of thinking paid off. Four disgruntled pirates who had all lost their money gambling in the pub were out prowling looking for an easy score. Eventually, the group stumbled upon a home far on the outskirts of the town with no lights on and seemingly no one inside. "This one looks good. Wanna loot it?" Each pirate grunted their agreement and started looking for a way inside. Eventually, they grew irritated, and one frankly kicked the door down.

"Easy pickings boys. Let's take what we can carry and book it." As fast as their grubby hands and feet could go the pirates raided the home for everything that was stored within. Having successfully secured the haul the quartet made their way outside to be met with a figure whose face was hidden by a scarf.

"I may be wrong, but that doesn't appear to belong to you. Would you mind replacing those items please." The pirates laughed at the lone figure before them then one spoke up, "Hey bud. We found this place first. If ya wanna take the scraps then so be it. But we are taking this junk, and you can't stop us."

"The arrogance and idiocy of the common pirate is really baffling. They can't even beat a common rat, and they boast as if it doesn't matter who they talk to." This passive-aggressive statement obviously made the pirates confused at first. Then they got angry as their slow brains began to realize the mysterious figure was talking about them. "Okay, punk. We was gonna let ya slide, but now we gotta teach ya a lesson. Don't mess with a pirate." The four 'men' dropped their loot and drew their weapons, but at that moment of time that none of them were watching their target, Eadgar easily slipped around behind them. "As I said. You don't know me. So, you can be forgiven for thinking that I may be some nobody. But I'm sure that is you heard my name you would have done exactly what I suggested. Names Eadgar Grauwulf. Have a nice nap."

Before the pirates could react, the Silver Swordsman easily knocked the men out with the hilt of his blade. They were no threat, so there was no need to cut them. Eadgar sighed. Whatever crew these men came from it was probably very similar to them. He needed to find someone willing to take a bounty hunter to the Grand Line, but he wouldn't be able to stand being near such people as these. Oh, well. The search continues. In the meantime, he might as well tie the men up and drag them back to town.

Hollyday

The Brown Isles is a place of beauty, so much so that you sometimes just need to stop and take in the scenery, and that is exactly what Hollyday did. Walking away from one of the more isolated houses Hollyday took in the undisturbed sounds of nature; as he discarded a pair of slightly bloodied gloves. The chirps of the nocturnal birds in the area, a rustling of some species of large lizard in the tall grass, Hollyday could even pick up some of the people going about their lives in town. Well, it may have calmed down a bit in the setting sun with the number of pirates that frequent the area, running on different circadian rhythms, there are always people going about their business at all times of the day and night.

Having everything already done that needed to be done tonight completed so early Hollyday didn't know what to do. Well not remotely tired, he has always been a night owl, and nothing else to do he decided to go for a walk around town and explore a little bit. Maybe find a place to update his bounty poster collection, It was always good to know who had a bounty on them as it helped avoid the more dangerous individuals. The only downside was running into a bounty hunter when picking up new posters. Not that they had a problem with him, as far as most believed he did not have a bounty, Hollyday just really didn't like them and that arrogance that they always have.

"That can be dealt with later, for now, I need to deal with the person following me" At some time after returning to town a pirate started following Hollyday, one of the troubles of traveling alone is thieves tend to target you more. 'Sorry, but I am not that easy of a mark' Hollyday began leading his would-be mugger around looking for a place to get rid of them. This came in the form of an alleyway. Between two buildings was a passage that was just wide enough for two people to stand side-by-side, and was hidden from the main street enough that it would be slightly too dark for most people. Just the right place for an ambush.

As a man with an extraordinarily large number of tattoos, including one that appeared to be a snake of the right side of his face, peered around the corner of the alleyway that he saw his target go down all he could see was a bag sitting on the edge of the light. Now if this man was smart he would realize this is a trap and.......go right for it, apparently. Hollyday thought he would be smarter and just walk away, but he apparently overestimated this man and his environmental awareness.

Here is an odd habit that people have, No one ever looks up. It is almost like a blind spot with how little people pay attention to what directly above them. Like how 'snake-face' never saw that the person he was following suddenly drop down from above him.

”Oi Kid you can’t enter this place... without ordering booze! Wat’s wrong with ya!”

From out of nowhere, a certain swordswoman would appear calling out to Jeanette, before she’d wrap her arm around her shoulder, red faced and clearly intoxicated she’d call out to the the waiter.

”Oi, gets some booze for the kid!”

Musashi put her mug up and tried to take another chug of her drink only to find it empty.

”Oh and another one for me, put it on my tab! Oh, by the way kid, you got a boat I can take...? Little old me gone and screwed up again! Ahaha!”

Musashi gave a hearty laugh. As the staff grumbled about a tab that was probably never going to get payed. As a matter of fact most of the usual patrons didn’t look happy with her sticking around. Which Musashi was clearly happy to fulfill after all she didn’t intend on ever setting foot here, it was that she made a mistake and stowed away on the wrong ship and ended up here. By now she was quite infamous as her drunken ramblings managed to annoy most of the isle and also managed to annoy away any Crew that could take her, causing her to be stuck on the Isle for three weeks. The only reason they still put up with her was if they tried to get physical, she would just send them running with broken bones.

While Jeanette was waiting for her food, she happened to see a more sober pirate running towards this place frantically. "What's wrong?" She asked Dereck curiously.

"What the..." Jeanette felt a hug around her shoulders, clenching her teeth as she struggled to hold back her own explosion. It was like trying stop a river from flowing. She turned around to see a red-eyed pirate, who looked to be as drunk as the others in this tavern.

"Only a fishing boat," She lied, letting out an annoyed frown. "And I don't like drinking, I'm just here for my dinner~"

Along the outskirts of the Brown Isles, more pirates emerged from the Forests and Marshes. None of them were any familiar faces of the Brown Isles, as they started waving about pistols and cutlasses right in front of those pirates of the Harbour. The enemy pirates started gunning down the unconscious pirates. Some of those pirates fled for their lives, and by now it is obvious that those pirates do not belong in the same crew.

@Vongola_Hasayo
Distant explosions echoed from the far side of the harbour, but the coast is clear with no sight of pirate ships. Despite so, the vendors were unfazed by such a scene, as if those were everyday events that they've been through.

In the fading light of the Evening sun, Nero found himself scanning the faces of the people along the dockside as he stepped off of the deck of the small ship that he'd arrived on, leaving the soft, painful moans of its unconscious crew laying below deck. He'd have preferred a quiet journey over, but they apparently decided differently and went to jump him when they neared land, Through no fault of his own, mind you. Normally he'd have put a bullet through each of them, but land was close and they were probably just desperate enough to go for his bounty so they weren't worth killing.

He slid through the small crowds of people like a blade through water, eventually finding himself along what appeared to be a market street. He, for the most part, managed to avoid standing out but his scars and heterochromatic eyes still managed to draw a few stares from the curious ones, and a few interested looks from the fairer gender. His signature armoury of Conflict, Discord and a disassembled 'Devil's Eye' were stashed in the black leather messenger bag at his side, while Ebon sat just below his hip in a custom holster and Ravensdown was slung tightly across his back. A commotion drew his attention and he looked across to the two run-of-the-mill scumbag pirates accosting a maid of all things. He began to move closer when the first one's hand closed around her arm, a slightly scowl on his face. The seconded pulled his blade on the merchant in front of them and Nero's hand went to Ebon, but stopped when he noticed the maid's grip on the other man's arm. He left the pistol holstered and watched as she instead beat the daylights out of them, both impressed and surprised.

He heard her introduce herself and quickly reached into his bag to produce a stack of wanted posters, flipping through them quickly. He found the ones matching the two pirates but nothing for the maid, Bel Cleargarden if he'd heard correctly, which was a little unusual because most people that could fight had a bounty or worked for the Marines. Mentally shrugging, he took the two pirate's bounty posters out of the stack and returned the rest to his bag before stepping up to Bel. The bounties were only pocket-change on their own, but they were a fair amount and Nero certainly wouldn't turn down a little extra change in his pocket. Bel hardly seemed the bounty hunting type, so maybe she'd let him claim the reward?

"Hey, you turning these in or do you mind if I take them off your hands?"

The orange light met Dereck at face value as he ran, stinging his eyes that were still filled with shock. What would his captain do to him once he told him? If he were lucky, he might be get off with a dozen lashes. Maybe he’d take his finger as a warning? Maybe he’d string him up by his feet on the highest mast for a day? He hoped his mood was well after all the drink that was in him.

Dereck entered the bar signalled by the creaking noise of the old doors opened with force, followed by a gust of dusty wind. The scent of wares outside that were close to their spoilage date did not much good to the taste of the grog, but grog wasn’t Dereck’s concern right now. For a second he found himself addressed by a young woman, but he brushed past her. She wasn’t his captain. No, that honor went to the fat bastard at the frontmost table. The captain was clearly the most sober out of the three, if only because not enough time had passed for him to drink enough to get his fat ass drunk. He’d need about two barrels of this cheap stuff to even get him tipsy.

“Captain, we’ve got a problem!” Dereck shouted, loud enough for the entire bar to hear. “Our treasure got stolen, it did! ‘T was some crazy woman, bit my sword right in half!” He bore his shattered cutlass, as if it was some kind of evidence. Dereck barely held back tears as he feared the fury of his captain’s no doubt merciless response.

With a splash a figure leapt from the water and onto the shore. Her silvery hair seemed almost unfazed by the salty water of the ocean – the most convenient and important of fishwoman benefit genetics, she could tell you. She hoisted her burlap sack of pillaged booty over her shoulder. Gold and glimmer stuck out from several sides, bound to catch the attention of the greedy. Zarya paid it very little heed. In her mouth was a large, pink fish that lively struggled against her grasp. She was also deaf to the fish’s pleas; not that any human could hear the poor fish beg, anyway.

Zarya looked around her, noticing the many vendors that had set up shop by the waterside. Some glanced in her direction, but most appeared to just go about their usual business. There was no bread to be won in staring at some stranger, after all. But they had duly noted her. She looked like a troublemaker, and bounty hunters might pay a fee to whomever pointed them at troublemakers, after all.

With her free hand, she scratched the side of her head. From her filled mouth escaped a few noises that indicated moderate confusion. She wandered about slightly, aimlessly. ”This isn’t where I docked my raft…” she murmured inaudibly. She jerked her head, flinging the fish into the air and swallowing it whole as it came down. She wondered what to do, but decided quickly and approached a nearby vendor. ”Hey you, do you know where I can exchange this?” With this being such a popular destination for pirates, there was no doubt there was someone who would be able to curate and buy the treasure from her person.

”Do be such a party pooper! This is a pub, a pub! You have to get into the atmosphere! Kakaakaa! Besides all the food her sucks anyway! The... the only good thing here is the booze, the just tastes like tree bark and need the goddamn booze to wash it down!”

Musashi laughed in a rather strange fashion and her arm would tighten around the living Bomb as she tried to take another chug only to find it was stil empty. She looked towards the waiter in irritation and started to shout to the staff.

”Come on where’s the booze! I asked for it like long ass time ago! Wait girly did you say you had a boat! You’re the best lil sis!”

The white haired swordswoman wrapped her arms around the living Bomb with strength that betrayed her frame. Somehow during all this Jeanette had become the drunk madwoman’s lil sis. The rambling caused by alcohol induced idiocy were quite terrible.

”Well let’s go on an adventure! And Sail the seas! And- huh, So yer pirates who got plundered, robbers who got robbed! Nice oh, so very nice!”

The Red eyed swordswoman walked over dragging Jeanette with her and started slapping Dereck across the back in a playful manner, only it felt like a 2 by 4 was being slammed into him. And in her drunken state she started singing.

”The pirates who, got plundered! The pirates who got plundered!

Then she started laughing. The staff looked at what was going on and immediately fled into the kitchen. The patrons of the pub either got weapons or tried to step out the back entrance. Musashi had set down a powder keg. That was ready to explode and one wrong move would cause the pub to be engulfed in chaos.

Kukui Blackthorn

“Miss, have you seen a white haired pirate with a horizontal scar over his forehead?” Kukui asked for what felt like the 50th time that day.

“Never seen him.” The old lady behind the stall answers bluntly as she handed Kukui his order of kabob. He nodded a thank you to the women before turning away to leave. Ever since arriving at Brown Isles, which he had heard was a frequent stop for pirates, he had hoped that maybe he’d gain some sort of clue to finding the scarred pirate who wronged him but to no avail. He turned the corner and looked around aimlessly before fixing his gaze on the largest building in town, the local pub. Kukui groaned before making a b line for the front door. As much as he hated the smell of hard liquor he knew that bars were the best place for gaining information. A small area filled with people from different places, plus, alcohol could make the most of secretive of men have loose lips. He took the last bite of his Kabob before entering, immediately feeling the difference of environment, a nice cool sea breeze now replaced with the warm room of drunks and pirate (mostly both).

Kukui looked around the room full of pirates, noticing a few people that stood out more then others (@Shiyonichi and @Noodles) before his eyes landed on the 3 pirate captains at the front most table. The first two things he noticed about the trio was that A. The looked important. And B. The looked drunker than most others. Important people know things and drunk people talk, whether on purpose or not. “Excuse me, strangers!” Kukui called from across the room as he approached the 3 men. Some of the pirates in the room stopped what they were doing, some wondering if Kukui had a death wish and others just curious on how it’d play out. “Would any of you men happen to know a pirate with white hair and a scar on his forehead would you?” He asked as he reached the captains table.

Jeanette was grabbed along by the drunken girl. Which damned streets did that drunkard girl come from? She'd never seen such an unruly girl in her whole life, even those pirate captains wouldn't be drunk enough to set a powder keg right under her feet. Just when she thought being near the winery is bad enough, this is going to take it to another degree. She wouldn't be surprised to see that red eyed girl to drink the whole 'chug' of this barrel of black powder.

Good, finally someone to get me out of this darned mess! She thought, but grimaced when she saw that pirate asking both of them, as if that was an everyday scene. Can't he read the situation? She replied to Kukui, "This is the only pirate with white hair, but she doesn't have a scar."

"Pirates are attacking!" There was noise emerging from the outside, "RUN FOR YOUR LIFES!" The three pirate captains, as strong as they seemed, took to their heels for the exit. Soon the bar was emptied with toppled chairs and tables.

"But you guys are pirates...?" Jeanette frowned and let out a sigh, tying her hair into a ponytail with one sharp tug.

"Its Kent, of the Shades' Pirates!" That name sounded awfully familiar to her. This was going to be a long day...

---

"You can exchange them with those drunken pirates over that bar, they might actually want to buy those stuffs," The vendor said with a slight laughter. She was a plump lady with a few strands of grey hair.

"Those fools again, they've been causing more than trouble since they arrived. Said they wanted to enter the grand line..." The vendor snorted, packing up on her wares as to call it a day. "You might want to take him out, I heard their captain's head is 25 million, would do us a favour I suppose ~"

Sounds of gunshots and cannonfires are heard, the people of the streets left in droves, some leaving behind their wares. A black flag could be seen from not far away, a skull and crossbones with a grey tint. A ragtag group of pirates, armed with cutlasses and pistol, a good number of them stealing wares under the broad daylight.
