I have now sat here for at least fifteen minutes trying to decide how best to introduce myself without feeling awkward, and have failed to come up with the proper witticisms. I give up. So, without further ado...

Hi! I'm Camlin, I am twenty-something years old, and I have been doing online roleplay on and off since I was thirteen. I do one-on-one roleplays almost exclusively, as my (admittedly limited) experience of large group roleplays has been...regrettably chaotic. My genre of choice (reading, writing, and roleplaying) is fantasy, because my life is miserable without magic. I'm a college dropout, though I plan to go back. I completed almost three years of a Computer Science degree before I left. I now work as a customer service representative in a call center, though I am currently on a break for personal reasons, leaving my free time wide open. Thus, I've decided to rejoin the online roleplay community. I simply searched for roleplay forums and ended up here!

When I am not roleplaying, I can usually be found reading. My latest fave is the Throne of Glass series by Sarah J. Maas, though my all-time fave is and forever will be the Harry Potter series. My friends and I play Pathfinder (basically D&D for the uninitiated) once a week, if we can. I also sometimes play video games. My first serious video game, The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker, will always have a special place in my heart. I also played Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword, but I have not gotten my hands on Breath of the Wild yet, as I don't have the right consoles. No point in buying a new console when there's only one game I want to play. Everything else I play on PC with a game controller, but Nintendo's gotta be all difficult.

And with that, I think I've hit the salient points. I'm looking forward to starting up a new roleplay or two!

Welcome!! Have you tried playing Starfinder? I'm in a campaign for it right now. It is quite fun! Ironically, I've never played Pathfinder.

Thanks, @Stormflyx and @Dread! I'm enjoying it so far, and I haven't even started roleplaying yet!

@dragonbutts, the only table-tops I've played are D&D 3.5, Pathfinder, and (for a very short time) Savage Worlds. My regular group doesn't get to meet very often, and we haven't had any desire to move on from Pathfinder yet. I suppose I could always give online table-top a try, though. :)

I've actually never played Pathfinder either, but have been playing D&D (3rd ed) for about 8 years, although I'm slowly going into 5th Ed stuff which is nice :)

I don't have any experience with the 5th edition. How do you like it compared to 3rd ed?

5th is a much more streamlined game, which allows the pace to be faster, and it's great for noobs as well. Def worth a look :)

@camlin I haven't tried any table-top games online. I've been tempted, though. They look really interesting.

I'm also in a 5th ed D&D campaign. It's loads of fun. I love it. This is my first year playing both games and I'm forever hooked now.

@dragonbutts I know how you feel! A friend introduced me to D&D about 4 years ago, and I can't get enough!

Seriously though, we're supposed to meet to play once a week, but it's more like once a month at best because someone always has to cancel. This campaign doesn't work with even one person missing.

@camlin ahh, it's always rough when you're itching to play and you can't! I understand that feeling completely.
