Known Information: A bard who has revealed little of himself, and whom people don't really seem to desire to know much of. Useless, but seems to have a good enough heart since he was the one to free the prisoners within the Solitary Confinement cells.

Known Information: Though she claimed to be a merchant, she certainly seems more...dubious in terms of her skillset. Despite her lying about her career, she does show courage and loyalty in her devotion to her fellow prisoners, being the one to have organized the mass prison break before Charybdis assaulted Ziggurat.

Gimmicks: A master of medicine despite her young age. Physically very weak, but the potions she carries are potent, and the various ingredients she scrounges up are poisonous if ingested as they are. If she put her mind to it, it is likely that she could create deadly poisons of all sorts, but instead she chooses to live as a medical practitioner.

Known Information: A young girl, living alone in the woods with her giant mushroom companion. Beyond her occupation and kindness, not much is known about her.

Not one for subtlety, she doesn't hide the fact that she takes in orphan children for experimentation, being a master alchemist and enthusiastic butcher of men and women. Possesses some connection to a primal beast, and has close ties to the Lady in Grey.

Home: Homura is from a small, remote island in the easternmost skies of the world. The island's aesthetic and culture is very similar, if not identical to, those of Japan, especially the feudal era. In its native language, the island's name means "Shrike".

Gimmicks: Homura is an adept and fierce sword fighter who specializes in settling scuffles with a single blindingly fast slash; a fighting style known as "iaijutsu". The first strike means everything. If the fight doesn't immediately end after Homura's first slash, she switches her tactics to confusing the opponent with swift movements, waiting for an opportunity to present itself where she can finish the battle with a few more strokes of her blade.

Personality: Homura is a lone wolf, through and through. She's usually quite aloof, not one to strike up a conversation out of the blue because of friendly intentions. As a result, she often keeps her true thoughts and feelings to herself, only revealing them when she knows the other person or people in the conversation are trustworthy. Given the opportunity to be by herself, however, and she is constantly focused on one thing: Becoming stronger. Whether it be to protect those she cares for or surpass the beliefs and expectations of her peers and elders, Homura constantly works herself to the bone to become as strong as she can be. Some even say that the support of those she can truly consider friends motivates her to work even harder.

Background: Homura was born as the youngest sibling of four to a pair of veteran warriors for parents. As a result, she was always being pushed to overcome her older brothers and sister, which began developing a bit of an inferiority complex inside of her psyche. Every day, she would train with her peers and superiors, with the majority of fights ending in losses for Homura, at least for a while. Eventually, though she didn't quite reach the same caliber as her older siblings, she decided that she had reached a point where any other fighters on her island home weren't on the same level as her or above, and set out to sail across the skies as a wanderer, searching for stronger and stronger opponents to temper her strength as a warrior.

Homura's penchant for actively seeking out powerful foes and challenging them to duels has, on multiple occasions, resulted in bad situations for her. Most recently, a public, large-scale scuffle that involved multiple people resulted in Homura being thrown into Ziggurat, where she now waits, planning her escape.

Inventory: Homura's inventory consists of Ichigekimaru, her prized katana, a few bottles of sake (AKA rice wine), and her "armor", traditional clothing from her island that discards defense in favor of maneuverability.

Dream: Her main desire is to go home, However, she does want to prove her abilities as an archer.

Home: Galbaldia an island known for its deserts and hot weather. It is a rough desolate landscape that only a few can truly survive or call it home. Known for its large amount of bandits and monsters people make a living by selling and trading goods be it weapons or monster pelts and other things. Legend has that the island is home to two primal beasts a great guardian turtle whose thoughts are always on the people and while slow does what it can for them. The other is a creature of dark power a whose power leaves destruction in its wake. While its form and that remains unknown it is often sent gifts to keep it pleased to prevent disaster.

Gimmicks: Darkness is her ally as much as it is to the primal she is contracted to. With that said she is able to control it to a great degree being able to bend it to her will to create arrows and to enhance her own attacks. She mixes this in with her claws when she needs to fight up close mixing it berserker like claw strikes with her ability to control the darkness.

Personality:
Devote and resolute to her ideals and her dream. She is headstrong and a bit brash refusing to see otherwise till it is often proven wrong in front of her own eyes. She is devoted and once you earn her loyalty you will have a steadfast ally who will do everything in her power to help as long as you don't go against her ideals. A bit of a soft speaker who tends to speak louder with her actions than her words.

Background: Skathi grew up on a far off island abandoned and raised to be nothing more than a servant to bandits. She grew up alone and miserable however upon their deaths she was taken in by a primal. Who despite his appearance cared for her and taught her, by all means, making it more of a parental figure than she ever had. A contract between the two was formed she would become his apostle and in his, she would carry out his will act in places where he couldn't. Their lives were tied she would live as long as their contract remained intact.

Her faith in the primal beast was second to none so confident that he wouldn’t lead her astray. She followed his will and did the deeds he asked. Nothing mattered she would hunt down the targets those who slighted him or those who challenged the balance that he sought to protect. The life she dedicated to him the person the being who saved her shown her kindness and sheltered her from those wishing her harm.

Skathi who took it upon herself to protect the Primal beasts of the island attacked an unknown invader. Her rage and in a haggard state she lost control over the powers gifted to her by the primal as darkness rained down dragging people into an endless abyss. Her berserk nature and the scale of the attacks caused her to faint after a long battle. Though in an odd sense she accomplished her job. Finding her in her comatose state Zweite Junta mistook her as the primal beast due to the lingering power on her body and stories that had been passed down. Though as she lays in the cell they keep her in she is starting to stir as the primal beast urges her to wake.

Meteor bow (A bow of the stars): A bow she claims is able to shoot down the very stars themselves. While this is far from the truth it remains true that this bow is of exemplary make possibly one of a kind. Though how it was made is unknown it is a bow that has survived generations being passed down and used by many a person as time passed.

Silver Talons (Gauntlets of a bygone age): Silver gauntlets whose fingers end in sharp claws. A weapon of a bygone age. It helps in drawing the bowstring and clawing at an enemy.

Gold coin (A proof contract): A golden coin which was given to her by a primal beast it marks their contract together and with it is proof of their connection. The coin is often used as a decision maker by Skathi by flipping the coin trusting the primal beast would guide her in the right direction.

Dream: Less of a dream and more of a ambition Hilde has a singular goal she wishes to accomplish. To prove her worth and escape her sister’s shadow.

Home: Niflhelm is a island of ice and mountains despite this it is a place of thriving business and community. Ruled by a mysterious king who is said to have sacrificed his right eye to a primal for knowledge and foresight. A lot of the laws and general upkeep of the island is ran by an elite female guard known as the Walkure. They are a group of thirteen warriors who serve not only as generals in times of war but as judge in terms of dispute. They serve as Guardians of the law and keepers of the peace making them one of the highest seats of power on the island.

The icy peaks that lead to the towns and cities are often its best defense against invaders. Though with that said it also makes it hard for travelers this is why special lifts have been constructed that can lead people up and down the mountains and in times of war can be dismantled easily. Often taking a neutral stance on a lot of things NIflhelm is often a island that is left alone.

Gimmicks: Gifted in the art of Illusions Hilde is able to craft minior illusions that often serve to fool her enemies. Fighting with a spear and shield she is often one to charge into battle using a mix of defense and mid range to keep a enemy at bay. When in dire needs she has been known to resort to illusions to try and escape sticky situations.

Personality:
Kind and mischievous Hilde is a bit of prankster but she means well she is one to always lend a helping hand to those in need. She is often of singular focus and when she sets her mind on something is one to charge straight ahead without looking back. She is never afraid to speak what she feels and is often one to see things in a more positive light.

However despite this she has her moments of melancholy her achievements are always lessened by the impact of her siblings and never the pearl of her parents eyes. She hides her true feelings behind a mask of cheer. At times she even manage to trick herself into forgetting her past. Though it is a constant thought on her mind that eats away at her which can lead to some melancholic and somber thoughts and views from her.

Background:
Hilde grew up in a well off family never needing anything. Her sister Byrnhild was also famed among the island and there was little that hasn’t heard of her deeds. As a former Leader of the Walkure she was known for her otherworldly beauty and her stern but fair attitude. Growing up HIlde was often left behind in favor of her sister. Any achievements she made was often overlooked due to the fact her sister did it already and or did it better. Among her family she was often known as the middle child not as great as her older sister yet not as innocent as her youngest. Among the town there was few that didn’t do the exact thing in which her sister always outshined her.

Always one to be forgotten Hilde was left to study and train on her own she would make a name for herself on her own terms. She soon found she had a gift for battle where she was able to shine. Still her skill was always forgone as she was after all Byrnhild’s sister so it was to be expected. It was then her world was rocked in which her perfect sister Byrnhild left her mighty post to pursue her love with a man in a black mask. Gone was her perfect sister and still she was in her shadow. This lead to Hilde trying many a thing to show her own skill to even being accepted as a member of the Walkure. Though no matter what she tried it was all in vain her sisters mark was left. Leaving her in their eyes forever in her shadow. Frustrated she set out to the cold unexplored places of the island in search of the supposed weapons a mad smith once forged for a forgotten king. A fool’s errand set about by a odd dream though she would accomplish her task it would carry with it consequences and reveal truth’s that perhaps was best left forgotten. Having uncovered the treasure Hilde left the island on a volunteer mission to seek out knowledge and information on her sister’s whereabout after she vanished a bit before her errand.

Leiptr: A lance forged by a mad smith for a forgotten king it’s legend speaks of its power but due to being sealed away a lot of its power is lost. It still echoes of its former power but it seems distant as if only remnants of its once great power remains in it. Still it remains a lance that of great make and is able to prove itself in many a fight.

Folkvangr: A large golden shield once used by a long forgotten king. A shield that withstood the test of time its golden sheen speaks of it being well cared for. Though it is taken care of and polished near daily. It is said to be able to protect the user from fatal blows before their time. However much like Leiptr whatever power it once held is faint and only slivers of its power remain.

Mark of the Walkure:A insignia signifying that the holder is of the Walkure one of the elite shieldmaidens of Niflhelm. Made of flowing silver it bears a mark almost resembling a heart and is said to be worth a fortune if sold to the right people.

Dream: To rediscover his purpose in the world, after his family's betrayal.

Home: Of all the islands ruled by The Zweite Junta, Eradine has one of the largest populations of all the islands with a mandatory 5 year military service for all males between the ages of 18 and 35. It prides itself on the size of its armies and fleets, though the truth is that much of their training is rushed and their gear is cheap and prone to malfunctions.

Gimmicks: Cayde's affinity with fire allows him to summon an intense flame around his weapon and armor, one hot enough to even melt through metals like bronze. To keep his armor and weapons from warping or bending, he tends to only use equipment made of Draethil. The metal is similar to steel in terms of strength, but with a much higher melting point, making it especially hard to craft with and only used in specialty items.

Personality: Months ago, anyone who knew Cayde would tell you the man was the most upstanding citizen, always doing what was right and the moral compass of any group. On any military campaign, he would always be seen prioritizing the safety of his men and any civilians that may have been in the area. After the betrayal of his family though and being sentenced to a lifelong stay in Prison Isle Ziggurat, Cayde has been questioning himself. Where before he would do the right thing, even if he knew it would lead to more hardship for himself, now he self-doubts and criticizes his every action. He still desires to do good, but is it worth the austerity that seems to always come with it? He hopes that an adventure with this ragtag group of fellow inmates will lead him to the answer of such a question.

Background:
When Cayde was young, he loved hearing the tales of his uncle Dorian and the adventures he used to go on with his fellow soldiers. They were filled with acts of bravery and strength as the island's greatest warriors fought for their kinsmen's rights and freedoms that, for the longest time, had been what the young man had strove to emulate. His uncle was the one who had convinced him to even join their island's military, despite his nobleman status allowing to him to be exempt from the mandatory service. He had every intention of rising to the same rank as his childhood hero after Dorian took over as Eradine's new Head of Zweite. So when the day came that his treachery and power hungry nature came to light, it wounded Cayde to the very core.

His uncle had been his role model since he was but a toddler, but now Cayde had come across undeniable proof that Dorian intended to assassinate the other members of The Zweite Junta as well as their families, leaving himself the only applicable leader to rule all 300 islands. He couldn't let this happen, allowing all that power go to one single person who's so devoid of morals to massacre so many. So Cayde did what he knew was his only option. He had to turn his hero in.

Unfortunately, the young man put his trust in the wrong people yet again as the authorities instead turned him over to Dorian. Cayde had at least successfully released the plans for the assassination to the public, so it could not be attempted, but the names of those behind it had not. So the punishment for his leak was easy, Cayde was now used as the scapegoat for the coup, locked away in the deepest parts of Prison Isle Ziggurat, away from anyone who could hear the truth.

Name: Marshall Chambers

Dream:

Less of a dream, and more of a mission, Marshall’s conscripted is to collect seven hearts steeped in sin; one for each of the Seven Deadly Sins. It is not a matter of if, he’s able to succeed, but once, that he will be allowed to dream of death forbidden.

Home:

Yoltaire; a land of darkness, where overcast sky and lasting rain is the norm, is where Marshall hailed many years ago under a name forgotten forever. Naturally a denizen of the Dark, his cursed existence has many him an outcast in his own land, and such, he calls no place home; merely a place to rest before moving on.

Gimmicks:

Immortality has its talents. Marshall cannot die in a technical sense, but be majorly incapacitated via removal of limbs; his Dark nature, though, makes his body easy to repair, should he be able to recover removed limb. However, if he should lose his right arm, he also loses his primary means of attacking: the Touch of Virtue – a ranged magical artifact that serves beings of a Light-nature with the ability to shoot light in thin beams from the fingertips, or a large beam from the palm. However, being of a Dark-nature, Marshall is forced to shoot his own blood; now saturated with the Element of Light.

Furthermore, despite his immortality, Marshall has a “limited ammo counter” equal to two pints of blood, before he starts to suffer from the effective of blood loss as he’s still human. This can be temporarily mitigated, however, by successfully drawing blood from a bleeding target (usual victimized by puncture or slash damage before his "turn", or suffering a bleeding effects) within melee range, and “actively reloading” with this foreign blood. Due to its foreign nature, Marshall can weaponize someone else's blood differently, using the ether within the blood to deal elemental damage or even cause status afflictions, such as natural toxins. As such, drawing blood inherently changes the shot "properties" until he exhausts this ammo.

However, Marshall cannot draw blood by just seeking to do so, or if impeded from making direct contact, such as by armor.

Personality:

Blunt. That's the best descriptor for Marshall's personality. Before becoming cursed by his benefactor – of sorts – into servitude, the thief known, currently, as Marshall Chambers was a brash and confident “reliever of items”. Never overconfident, but, pridefully, willing to maintain his reputation, Marshall gambled it all away in a moment. Having lived generations gone, seeing the ups and downs of many, and longed to join those gone Marshall is withdrawn and blunt, whenever he needs to speak to someone.

There are rare occasions, like seeing twinned snowflakes, that his old personality resurfaces for the sake of people; however, he remembers the pain of it, and is swift to cage it. He's a job to do, and the longer it takes, the longer he suffers the hell that is living, in his mind. However, for all his bluntness, he has a soft spot for that which is fluffy and furry, and regularly entertains a kitten or puppy from infancy to the grave.

Background:

Once upon a time, there was a Human that was born in the shadow of a shadow, under an overcast sky, when the moon was new, and the rain fell lightly across the ever-shaded island of Yoltaire. His name is long since forgotten, even though, he still lives and breathes. His history a memory of being unparalleled in his clan; a thief that could relieve anyone of anything, and gained the appropriate reputation for such a feat. He was brash, yet friendly; confident, yet collected; he took nothing to heart... save for one challenge: Stealing the heart of another.

Longingly, the thief sought for the hand of the daughter of the Clan Grandmaster. Unwilling to relinquish his daughter to any one man, he tasked upon the would-be suitors a single item from the Caress of Virtue – a suit of armor that could be used to snuff the darkness without fail. The Clan Grandmaster knew, even a single piece's absence would set back the production of the armor, and delay the worst, if only for a bit.. It was slightly for his pride in his reputation, and largely for his desire for the hand of the coveted daughter, that the thief swore to bring back a piece.

That was over 1,900 years ago, 1904 to be exact. He was sixteen, by human years, and had been since he met her: the Lady of Virtue, a Primal Beast of Light. He stole into her workshop, into her domain, and over his head. Perhaps, the Clan Grandmaster knew the outcome was undefiable failure, he surmised, as he held to a knee before the being of Light; his right arm burning and bleeding, as the Touch of Virtue bound to his being – surrendering its once beautiful silken look and royal colors of golds and red for a charred fabric appearance and burnt ash muddled with blood for colors.

Unthinking Light for its cruelties, the thief found himself bound to the Touch of Virtue, to The Will of the Creator, he found himself given a bargain from his pathetic state and surrendered freedom: “Bring seven hearts steeped in sin, one for each, and, with them, atone for the sins you hold yourself. Until that day, wander, forever alive until the True Light fades, unable to die, but able to suffer all pain and loss.”

And so, the thief did wander, suffer, and lose; unable to return home, for the light inside him, and unable to stay rooted for the darkness brimming underneath. He wandered, surviving on, as the “immortal mercenary with the bandaged arm,” and becoming known as a man that simply would not die – even if ordered at the point of a sword and barrel end of a rifle. Death was too trivial a request to honor, if those demanding it could not even answer a simple question: “Where are six hearts are steeped greatly in Sin?”

Unfortunately, he would find that to anger law enforcement – especially the corrupt – then the sheer inability to die upon command can be spun as something worthy of capital punishment, and rewards by rotting away in a prison cell for forever.

Dream: There is no greater dream -- no, aspiration -- for a kitsune that to gain nine tails and become a Primal Beast. Sayaka holds this same desire in her heart, and set out as a mere kit to rumble her way to celestial-dom.

Home: Malovarna Forest of Malovarna Island; a blissfully green forest with a smattering of things to do here and there for a kitsune, such as Sayaka, and a really unhealthy horde of goblins to rumble with.

Gimmicks:

Legendary Experience of the Nine: Nine tails, grown from years of experience and survival; gifting to the kitsune that grew them the power of a celestial. Each tails is a host to a power of it own, and takes one-hundred years to foster and develop. Unless you’re sick hype and ready to challenge Destiny straight out the womb, like Sayaka. Instead of waiting years to get experience, for some reason, Sayaka gains years of experience through combat -- every fight won is a year on her life, as far as gaining a new tail is concerned. In this way, every 100 won fights is a new tail.

Each tail gained multiplies her strength, magical control, and magnifies her very existence, too; in addition, to giving her a new power worthy of a future Primal Beast.


Personality: Sayaka could be described as spunky, spirited, overzealous, and a smidge egotistical. However, such is to be expected, when you were going to surpass Primal Beasts through your fists alone -- and, a few kicks, here and there... maybe some biting. Fighting isn’t fair, okay?

Background: Born in a hole, destined to rules in the sky. Sayaka came to exist in a hovel, with the power to ascend to greatness. A simple fox with a simple dream, striving to become a legend through hard work and hardcore rumble skill. There is little to say about the brawler beast with aspirations for godliness, beyond look out, for the future Queen of the Foxes is coming to slam-jam for that royal experience.

Name: Kagami

Dream: Kagami dreams to be the first man to publish a complete map of Tyragrande. However, since he believes a map should include more than just a geographical guide for travelers, it would be more accurate to say that what he is working on is more akin to an expansive tour guide, including landmarks, native customs, figures of interest and famous legends of each place. As a result, it is written in book format and will most likely take at least a decade to finish in the best case scenario. As a secondary goal, he hopes to undo the curse that has been placed on him, which has transformed his body into that of an infant.

Home: Kagami comes from Egrea, an island known for being at a considerably lower altitude than the rest. There exists a widespread rumor that Egrea was once much higher up in the sky, but fell to its current position sometime during an ancient war. As a result, skyfarers prefer to avoid visiting it, and even their own inhabitants fear that the island may one day fall down to the Earthly Realm. Despite its favorable weather conditions and lack of extremely powerful or 'rare' monsters, about seventy percent of the current generation has already left the place behind and set out to explore the world or in search of another home, one with a more promising future.

Gimmicks: Kagami has never been someone suited for physical combat, even more now that his body is that of a child. That said, even though he wouldn't stand a chance to emerge victorious in an actual fist/arms fight, his small figure combined with professional experience as an escapee make him a nimble adversary to face. His most noteworthy trait is the knowledge he has accumulated during his twenty three years of life, some from his parent's library, some from his time as an adventurer. He is well versed in deciphering codes, can write in a good dozen languages and speak fluently in at least half of them, and has received teachings in the arcane arts as well. In combat, he unleashes a variety of spells through the use of magical tomes called grimoires [He is pretty much defenseless without them]. The element he is most attuned to is water, and his skill set sacrifices offensive power for a good number of support spells, defenses and healing. However, if a big enough mass of water is present nearby, his offensive potential gains a significant boost [although still tame in comparison to more offensive-oriented elements, like fire or darkness].

Personality: Kagami possesses a personality that is too mature for a child, mostly because he is an adult-who-has-been-turned-into-a-kid. He may be gentle and somewhat innocent, but his serious demeanor often makes him stand out immediately. He's the kind of person who thinks about something a lot instead of just letting emotions take the reigns of the situation. As a result, sometimes he can be hesitant or shy, especially in social encounters. Some jokes and idioms seemingly fly over his head. On the other hand, when he is familiar with a certain task, he can focus on it in a way only a few can, his actions well-executed and accurate, like those of a machine. Naturally, Kagami is also very curious and shows interest whenever he comes in contact with something new or rare. That said, he tries not to peek where he is not welcome, so he doesn't really insist when he doesn't get the answers he seeks. Personally, Kagami enjoys devoting most of his free time to his dream, meaning you can regularly spot him reading, writing or drawing. Although there are benefits from being confused with a kid, he doesn't like when people seemingly ignore his opinions because he looks like one. He also insists he is not a 'Harvin with undeveloped ears', but a lot of people seem to start thinking of him as one once they realize 'he's too smart to be a human kid'.

Background: Kagami's parents were indeed strange, for despite living in Egrea, they had no desire to leave the island. With the promise that one day the island would crash into the Earthly Realm, most of those who stayed in Egrea were people who simply lacked the means to leave. This was not the case with Kagami's parents, who had even spent a good amount of time and effort pouring all their knowledge into the island's library, which they owned. Some of the books were even written by them. After all, the two of them had been, at some point in the past, skyfarers. And so, Kagami grew surrounded by stories of adventures, all of which involved air travel and wondrous creatures. It was only natural for him to develop the desire to see these things for himself and live the life of a skyfarer. He urged his parents to help him build a ship and accompany him in his travels, but they only agreed to the former, arguing that Egrea was the place where they had fallen in love, and so they were not worried about its promised downfall. Seeing that, as things were, this meant that he might not see them again, Kagami promised to someday return with the fruits of his labor, to share stories with them the same way they had with him.

The years that followed saw Kagami traveling around Tyragrande alongside a group of friends, becoming the pilot of his own skyship. His life was not just that of an adventurer, but also that of a treasure hunter [Although rather than steal, he'd merely write what he found about them], and this often got him into trouble with local authorities, from which he had to escape from a good dozen times in the past. His luck began to run out when, one day during his expeditions to a certain island, he came across a temple and ended up -accidentally- waking a strong primal beast. The island was swallowed in its rage and entire villages were destroyed. More importantly, a mysterious curse caused Kagami's body to revert into that of a little child. His crew, eager to abandon the island, didn't recognize him and so he was left for dead. Believing the primal beast to be the source of his misfortune, Kagami set to undo his wrong-doings. Having investigated the creature's myth and origin, he developed a plan to calm it down. Sadly, he didn't have enough strength to pull it off and was promptly defeated. A certain female hero appeared at that time, when Kagami was about to lose consciousness, a mysterious figure whose strength defied reason: Someone who those familiar enough would call 'an Eternal'.

When Kagami woke up, he had been nursed back to health, but his position was no better. He had been captured by the Zweite army and accused of being the cause of the whole incident [which was actually true]. Moreover, even though the Primal Beast had returned to its slumber, his body had not returned to normal! You'd think Zweite would be kind enough not to throw a kid into prison, but what do you know? To them, he looked like a Harvin with undeveloped ears-!

And so, under the guise of a human kid -a harvin to some-, he waits for an opportunity to escape to arise.

Home: Omphalos Island is a massive island higher up in the atmosphere, one of the highest in the territory. Despite this, the island is a popular crossroads, placed right between the frontier islands and the inner islands in the mid-south region. Travelers often stop there for rest, repairs and supplies. Mercenary groups often place their base of operations here, and explorers often meet here. Being so high up, it is expected that the island is cold, but the island rests above a natural anomaly. Hot air rises from the depths directly below it, and by the time the air reaches the island, it has cooled to a comfortable temperature. Omphalos is famously known for being neutral ground, a haven for outcasts, mercenaries, explorers, researchers, librarians, and more. The altitude gives the island a natural defensive advantage, the amount of militia the island can raise, and the amount of ships always present there gives any potential attacker pause. The island itself is star shaped, with four points. Each point being primarily docks, shipyards, airfields and engineering districts where inventors conduct experiments with new technologies. The center of the island is the main population center of the island, with residential districts, markets, libraries, taverns and halls for groups. The center of the island has several lakes, full of creatures small and big. Surrounding these lakes are parks, letting the populace relax from the busy of the markets and docks.
Dream: Arno dreams to be a respected skyfarer, an explorer who has seen the depths of the planet, the stars beyond the skies, and the lands behind the storms. While he admits these dreams to others, he has one goal he will never admit. He has a question to ask, and nobody knows the answer to it, he hopes to find the answer.

Gimmicks: Arno is a fairly inexperienced combatant, his most impressive skill being that he's able to fast draw his pistol, making him likely to get a first shot off. After that, his inexperience shows. However, fighting on the ground isn't what he excels at. Arno is a natural pilot. Flying his custom built airship fighter, he can dodge, weave and fly circles around most things that fly in the air.

Inventory: Arno carries a short falchion sword, despite being very inexperienced with swords, he carries it just in case. He also has the pistol his parents built, The Talon. A triple barreled handgun that holds more like a carbine in a Harvin's hands. The pistol has a bayonet attached to the barrel that swings out when the user is in close quarters. The Talon is a masterfully crafted weapon, steel, dark ironwood, emblazoned with brass, the gun is heavy, sturdy and reliable. The barrel has been decorated with the head of a dragon, giving it an intimidating appearance. Arno keeps it on a holster strapped to his thigh, when he's flying his plane however, he takes the holster off and either leaves it strapped to the side of the cockpit, or onto his flight vest.



Appearance: Arno is a Harvin. He's short, physically weak, looks like a child and he hates it. He works towards moving his appearance away from the typical Harvin, and his efforts have shown results to those who pay attention. Despite being an average Harvin height, he's physically more able than the typical Harvin, he looks more mature, looking like a young teenager rather than a child, and he sports an easy to maintain lampshade pyramid mustache. Arno keeps his black hair short, only two or three inches long, foregoing the more fancy longer hair styles that higher class people wear. His hair is unkept, unstyled, and wild, but when he puts on his leather pilots helmet, it doesn't get in the way and that's what matters to him. His mustache is however, well groomed, maintained, and what he spends his mornings on. He grew one, without a beard after finding out that he grew a poor beard, in order to make himself look more mature. It helps only a little.

For fashion, he wears very little in the way of casual clothing. His wardrobe consists of primarily engineer's long sleeve overalls, shirts, pants, and his flight suit. His flight suit is by far his most expensive outfit, consisting of many parts when he goes out flying. He wears a black slightly baggy cargo style pants with brown leather boots that goes over the pant legs midway to his calves. A white short sleeved shirt and over that, a brown leather jacket that is incredibly warm, a cross between a fencing style and a bomber style leather jacket, with the zipper on the left side. For his hands, Arno has leather pilot gauntlets, and he has a leather helmet for his head. The helmet has buckles to secure his goggles and oxygen mask in place while in flight. On top of all of this, he wears a g-suit, a custom made suit that goes over his legs and torso like overalls, and is filled with empty bladders. When plugged into his airship cockpit, the bladders will fill with compressed air, combating the g-forces that will make Arno black out when he does high-g maneuvers. Finally he has a light flight vest with several pouches, this vest also contains his oxygen tank for his mask. When going out, he will leave most of this behind in the cockpit, only taking his pants, boots, shirt and jacket out to public areas.

Personality: Arno is an easily irritated, quick to speak up, and very expressive with his vocabulary. When he gets angry, he would have been intimidating, if he were normal sized. Instead he's half the size of a human adult and seeing this tiny person shouting curses and hexes is humorous to some, much to Arno's further irritation. Despite being so quick to say what's on his mind, he is naturally curious, and will actually shut up and listen if someone is educating him about something, he has a respect for knowledge of every kind and he shows it. Despite being a little bit of a jerk, his true self is revealed when he's with his airship, the Akula. He gently cleans it, barrels, air intakes, exhaust ports, and engine nozzles, when he's maintaining it he's quiet and focused, much calmer and much quieter, almost like he doesn't want to disturb the airship. He treats his airship with the upmost respect, and expects everyone else to treat it the same way he does.

Background: Arno was born on Omphalos Isle to a family of engineers and workers. His mother designed airships and his father constructed weapons, with his uncles and aunts int the same business. Arno had a brother and two sisters, and they all stuck together. Together, they played on the airship docks, go to know explorers and mercenaries, they explored their island carelessly. After all, if they were together, they were invincible. Then the eldest sister disappeared, after two weeks of searching, the people of the island gave up, and Arno stayed in his room. For three years he wallowed in his sorrow, often looking out his window and seeing the birds flying by.

Then one morning he felt a touch on his hand, he sensed a familiarity, and opened his eyes. His room was empty, but his window was open. There on the window sill was a large bird, hawkish, with piercing eyes. He knew this bird, the king of birds on Omphalos, a predator that hunted even monsters. For it to grace him with its presence was humbling, exciting, awe inspiring. Feelings other than sadness, sorrow and worthlessness. It stared into Arno's eyes and shrieked, then flew off. Arno smiled for a short moment, but thought nothing of it. The next morning, he felt it again, then four of the birds were on his window sill. The one from yesterday, and three smaller ones. There was a fresh fish on his sill, and they ate the fish. The largest bird left, then two others having had their fill followed. The last, had no fish, and there was none left. The smallest bird looked at the fish bones, nipping at whatever scraps was left. Arno went downstairs and grabbed a piece of meat from his family kitchen, then fed it to the fourth bird. It took the meat and ate it quickly, offering Arno a scream as repayment. He watched as the smallest bird took off after the largest.

Then Arno was struck by inspiration. He cleaned up their mess on his window sill, grabbed his paper and pens, and sketched. At first he drew them, the birds. He always wondered how they flew, and he studied their flight and their wings. He sketched existing airship designs and worked to understand how the air flowed around the birds, and around the airships. For the first time in three years he left the home and gathered materials, he constructed a basic wind tunnel and went to work. He made small scale airships of existing design, small scale birds, and studied the air flow. He looked at more experimental designs and tested those, then tested his own designs. He wanted to fly, not how everyone else flew, floating on airships of wood and balloons. He wanted to fly. Like the birds of prey that graced him with their presence, he wanted to soar through the sky like a predator. His airship had to be fast. It had to be maneuverable, strong, with a bite that surprised its foes. He settled on a design that he had never seen before, that nobody had ever seen before, and got to work. He gathered the attention of his father, mother, siblings, uncles, aunts and friends of the family. He took an empty hanger and turned it into his workshop, building the first generation of his airship. The prototype CI-1. For the next decade he would work tirelessly, constructing more prototypes, more chassis, changing what wasn't working and improving what was. His tests revealed a host of problems, when turning too harshly he would faint, and Arno had to figure out why. With the aid of a doctor, they solved the problem. As Arno in his airship climbed to higher and higher altitudes, higher than any airship had ever gone before, the temperature froze the control surfaces and the air was getting too thin for Arno to breathe. With the help of his mother and siblings they solved that. During a flight endurance test, Arno looked to the horizon and wondered what was beyond it, what was beyond what he could see in the sky? And below in the depths? When Arno wasn't eating, sleeping or relieving himself he was working on his airship, now dubbed the Akula.

During the eighth flight endurance test, the first long distance flight for the Akula model CI-4G, he was captured by military forces and sent to Ziggurat. They confiscated his helmet, flight vest, and airship, locking Arno into a cell.

Home: The island of Cocahana is one of lavish celebrations and a communal atmosphere. Garlands, flowers, adorned skulls and other colorful decorations are commonly found outside even the smallest of abodes. The people of Cocahana value loyalty, respect, and the pursuit of strength. As such, warriors in particular are well-respected, and exhibition fights - aimed to entertain rather than result in injury - are a popular pastime. Those who are victorious in such fights, besting opponents even without explicit intent to harm, are hailed as beacons of discipline and skill, often attaining at least local fame.

Gimmicks: Lassie is, in the simplest sense, a flower Luchadora. Utilizing her Earth affinity to draw upon the soil around her, she creates botanic weaponry and tools to aid her in fights. Additionally, she thrives in hand-to-hand combat, slamming, twisting, and jumping around like a madwoman. She is also very much an entertainer to a fault, over dramatizing what happens around her - in and out of combat.

Personality: Lassie greatly prefers her middle name, Belladonna, as she feels it sounds more sophisticated and grandiose. She often forgoes introducing herself with her first name entirely, and tends to become a little, in lack of a better word, pissy when those not allowed to do so, call her Lassie. Belladonna considers herself a role-model for the young and aimless. Courageous, honorable, and always out to protect the weak and punish evil, Bella strives to be a knight-like figure with exemplary behavior as well as appearance. Indeed, she has a penchant for the extravagant, and fashion - especially the more "out there" fashion - is one way to break her heroic facade and start a descend into feverish fawning. Belladonna is a sucker for anything flashy, and will compliment even an enemy if they showcase a striking sense of style. A sweet-tooth at heart, Belladonna is easy to sway with presents of the confectionery variety. In fact, she regularly eats herself into a sugar shock during celebrations, much to the chagrin of those who wish the Hija del Diabolo would not break her chivalrous facade in public. Unfortunately for them, Belladonna is far from stoic; she is a hot-blooded woman who approaches most aspects of her life with fierce determination and a willingness to give it her all. This is especially true for relationships; Bella is a fiery lover with a tendency for over-the-top courting and almost poetically wallows in heartfelt regret over any connection that was not to come to fruition.

Background: As the daughter of well-respected fighters, Belladonna idolized her parents and the way people admired them for their strength and sincerity. As such, even as a child, Bella had set her mind to become a champion who would live life to the fullest and bring down the fist of justice to evil-doers. She displayed immense talent during her training, and joined her parents in all capacity permissible for a minor, promoting and sparring with them. As Belladonna grew older, she quickly attained a reputation that stretched across the surrounding areas, drawing in viewers as well as challengers from other islands. With gymnastic elegance and supplementary usage of her Earth attunement, the beautiful but deadly Luchadora known as the Devil's Daughter, became a sensational discovery, even by Cocahana's illustrious standards of gifted fighters. However, her graceful and efficient combative talent eventually drew the attention of a nobleman with close ties to the Zweite Junta's rulership; This royal crossing would prove to be disastrous. Easily dispatching of the noble's designated substitute champion, the man, enraged and humiliated, set the gears in motion to get his reveng on La Hija del Diablo. Soon, Belladonna found herself arrested, unable to overcome the squadron sent to subdue her. Worse, the woman with an infernal loyalty towards her family and close friends had to witness her parents - now elderly weak - suffer the same fate. On this day, Lassie Belladonna Swings swore revenge!

Dream: While the Promised Land is sure to be marvelous, its value, as far as Gilvan is concerned, is derived from the journey it requires, and the characters it enthralls. Nothing would please him more than to witness the tales of esoteric and gifted dreamers, and the glory of their story, whether it end in triumph or tragedy. To condense this fancy into a singular dream, Gilvan would perhaps admit that he would like nothing more than to travel alongside the greatest of their number.

Home: Zildartz is a plain enough island of stony tower and rigid structure - architecture so pragmatically passable it seems perfunctory. It is a meritocracy of scholars, warriors and governors who preach humble grace and efficacy in labor. Effectively under the thrall of the Zweite Junta, Zildartz aspirants seek to grift and innovate to deliver tribute with efficiency. The sole aspect of Zildartz culture that… indeed, appears to fulfill the more romanticized ideals of culture is the island’s appreciation and facility for athletics, various sports created and played with some ingenuity and finesse.

All is not, however, tiresome servitude and the odd athletic exhibition. There are those bleeding-hand working folk who chafe at the influence of the Zweite Junta. To that end, the ‘Grifters’ - underground organizations - serve to, ostensibly, ensure that the work of Zildartz laborers are not dispersed to those ‘above’ them. Some (it could be argued: most) of their number, however, are exploiters in their own right, who redirect goods unto themselves in disproportionate measure, and engage in unsavory acts such as slavery to fulfill their ends. As such, even the Grifters are splintered, with factions that joust with each other for ascendancy in the underworld.

Gimmicks: A masterful sports-player from Zildartz, Gilvan is an athlete who focuses on finesse: in particular, the lad’s feet are almost as if magical in and of themselves. Quick and sprightly, he was notable in his island for being able to kick at objects (most notably, of course, a ball) and cause them to move at logic-defying, curving trajectories, as well as frightening pace. Such has been incorporated into his combat style; he is adept at using his legs in martial combat, as well as striking objects to engage in ranged combat.

“Blackballed” - Gilvan is able to conjure spheres of darkness to supplement his sports-inspired combat style - with a kick he can cause them to curve, ricochet, make sharp directional changes in the air, and all sorts of tricks of motion.

Personality: Headhunter Gilvan is a calm, self-assured sort, who - in his put-upon demeanor and tendency towards flowery verbiage - can’t help but come across as a little pretentious and haughty. There’s also the little matter of his unusual moral compass; good and evil are crapshoots to him, while agency and competency are paramount. Indeed, what matters to Gilvan is that things are done with full, uncorrupted intent and freedom, and that they be done well, if not necessarily with style (though he does so adore finesse and grace).

As such, while perfectly affable, the ease and levelled nature in which he can glimpse and comment upon violence and similar evils can be somewhat disconcerting. Nonetheless, he is a supremely supportive fellow, who sees it as his mandate to push forth the stories of talented others.

Background: Gilvan is, distinctly, not a Zildartz native born. Indeed, where the rest of his compatriots tended towards darker skin more akin to olive, Gilvan’s countenance was pale - fitting for a man born in darkness, a child who spent his first moments in a crate aboard a rickety vessel. Taken by slaving Grifters and marketed as cattle, he found himself bound to the island of Zildartz, for numerous times was he passed over; the nobles hard-of-conceiving chose fairer infants, while unscrupulous crews cast a blind eye towards the slender, narrow-framed figure he would grow into.

So, his captors decided he might as well be put to work - albeit, not very well. It was perhaps a blessing then, that in what spare-time he was afforded, that his prodigious talents in sport were noticed. Suddenly a slave with market value, he was purchased by a rather more benevolent (if not entirely so) faction of Grifters, made to leverage his talents to line the pockets of Zildartz bookies. In this role, he thrived, even repurposing his sporting ability into an uncanny sort of combat prowess. A crown jewel, he was promoted until he was given the position of ‘Headhunter’, whose responsibility was to scout for talents to recruit into Grifter ranks.

It was his talent and influence, in fact, that he leveraged to sway his faction out of the slavery business - indeed, as ‘Headhunter’, he served to instead recruit the disenfranchised and mercurial with the promise of freedom, of a journey embarked upon, and of gains well-earned.

In the present day, sadly, Gilvan’s faction has been more or less eradicated, a multitude of them imprisoned in various terrible places for various crimes of 'conspiracy', whatever that means. Cue Gilvan’s introduction.

Home: Louisoix is one of the more prosperous islands, known for its upscale fancy buildings and metaphorical streets paved with gold bring a sort of upscale 16th century england feel. Anyone from Louisoix carries weight with just their family's name from the most illustrious of soldiers and warriors, to the most prestegious of merchants and scholars. Among everyone on the island there are five families who's name carries the most weight on the island and nothing happens without their say so, the Primwells, The Branwens, the Lamblyns, the Hawkfords, and the Arntons. As far as an island full of rich people go, they live up to the stereotype. While most are like this, there are those few who stray from this stereotype.

Gimmicks: Sasha uses a staff as her primary weapon. Like most magic users from her home, she has recieved training in the arcane. While not proficient in close quarters combat, she has managed to find other ways to use it. it is used as a catalyst to channel her magic through and give it a more controlled use enhancing her precision. mainly for ranged combat and making defensive spells easier to cast, she has been known to whack people with it.

Personality: The standard stereotype most people would think of when they see a wealthy person would most likely be uptight with a holier than thou attitude, a prude as well. Someone who would turn their nose up even at the most helpless of beggars, especially someone from Louisoix, someone with the primmest and proper of attitudes, Sasha is none of these things. When not in the proper situation it calls for, she can be heard laughing and sometimes even be making the dirtiest of jokes, using foul language, and everything in between most of what is the influence of her aunt. She has never been one to consider herself above others despite her upbringing and will help other if she can and sees fit to do so. Coming from a wealthy family has its advantages as well as its disadvantages and with her self-proclaimed independence, it would be more of a hinderance. She will often avoid the conversation of her past if she can.

Background: Sasha's story begins like any other wealthy child's story. She grew up as a sheltered child, never really knowing what the world was like outside of her little bubble known as her island, yet sometimes she felt even sheltered from the island. There were various secrets about her family she had never been told about for what would seem like a good reason. The only connection she had to the outside world was through her skyfaring Aunt whom she was the closest to. She would tell her stories of things people could only dream of the Tyragrand had to offer and the things she encountered during her travels. People, animals, plants, she told her everything and Sasha wanted to be just like her aunt. Being the heir to the second richest family in all of Louisoix however, did not bode well for her dream. She was meant to breathe royalty, think like royalty, and act like royalty, which meant being the good little heiress she was supposed to be. The only thing she had to look forward to that did not involve her lineage was learning magic.

She would train with her aunt every morning at the crack of dawn in her element. Learning different spells, hand signs, and various other methods to use. By the time she became an adolescent, she had grown tired of always being in the dark about everything, she craved adventure and thrills, she hated being stuck on the island. Fate, however, has a funny way of showing itself and those who are not careful get what they wish for. Three days after her twenty-second birthday, she had begun to come across rumors of her father having two illegitimate daughters before her birth. Naturally, when she had confronted her father on this matter, Unbeknownst to her mother of course, but her father would not tell her the truth. When she confronted her aunt, she simply dodged the question and when she had realized she was not going to get a straight answer and decided to take matters into her own hands.

One late night, she snuck into her family's archives dug through for information. She had found what she was looking for, the identities of her two older siblings and more, more than what she had hoped to find. The unnerving story of how her family, as well as the other families, accumulated their wealth off of the suffering of others. Everything from the horrible treatment of the indentured servants down to outright slavery, murder, and everything in between. It sickened her that her own family was capable of these things, yet she would be able to do nothing about it. Upon her exit, she was caught by the guards and none other than her father. Realizing she had uncovered everything about what made the Branwens who they were, he knew she would not be silent about it. Not taking the chance, he had her arrested on false charges, charges that would keep anyone in Ziggurat for the rest of days after calling in a few favors from the 13. To keep her imprisonment a secret, she was stricken as studying abroad and transported to ziggurat island. He had her name changed and told her if she wanted to live as long as possible she had better keep who she was a secret.

Name: Poxanne (Formerly Alla'fey Typhen, the Toxic Witch)

- Ennact vengence on the Alchemists Guild by destroying them or rendering them obsolete.

Home: Helmuth

The home of the Alchemist's Guild has since fallen into stagnation. The Alchemist's Guild, in their pursuit of knowledge and power had wrenched every natural resource from the island, almost to the point where it can barely float, and cave ins are common and piece of the island fall to the earth below. While she grew up well taken care of as the daughter of guild members, over time, even their fortunes began to wane. Only a few stubborn souls rule over the island slum.

Gimmicks:

Poxanne’s earth element manifests as an affinity to plants. She’s got a green thumb ever since she was a child and she commonly grows her own medicines and reagents that go into her potions. Like many Harvin, learning and using magic came easy to her, and with her own genius intelligence, the spells she has are vast and many. She can cause vines and wood to grow at a moments notice to entangle her foes, or just make some flowers grow (even on the wood hull of an airship). She has used her alchemical arts to actually create new breeds of plants, and these plants have a number of applications. She will use her magic to full effect if and only if she has to fight alone as collateral damage in terms of poisonous clouds of spores can be just as dangerous to her allies.

When fighting with a group, she is centered on harassment, support, and terrain control by use of her plants but mostly her alchemical reagents. On the offensive she’s got an arm on her and is proficient when it comes to throwing, whether it be grenades or darts. She is clever enough to rig these items as trip wire or pressure traps around the battle field using her small stature to not be noticed too much. She’ll try to also poison or hamper the enemy with her own concoctions if she gets the chance.

Mostly though when it comes to a team fight, its all about keeping her side up. She’ll stay behind the fighters, using her potion, salves, the odd rejuvenation and regeneration spell to heal their wounds, or enhance them with elixers, draughts, and oils. Many an ally had found themselves smashed with a vial of sugar glass and reeking of something foul, only to have the next enemy bullet or blade deflect harmlessly off. All of these effects of course are only temporary, and she does have limited supply on hand.

Personality:

She's a child and a mother. She's a student and a teacher. She's a healer and a killer. Poxanne is a woman of extremes and complications, all hidden behind a veneer of innocence, intellect, and infectious positivity. To most, Poxanne is an eccentric. She is always busying herself with her own thoughts, and loves to socialize and talk. She gets excited for even simple things and loves to teach. She is silly, playful, chatty, and wears her emotions on her sleeve, often over reacting in immature ways. This is all part of her act to distract herself. Behind those eyes, she’s tried. She’s worried. She’s angry. She acts like a child, but she is a genius and has seen more of the skies than most other people she’s met.

When her healing services are needed, whether physical or emotional, Poxanne can be surprisingly motherly and empathetic. She offers kind words, encouragement, and genuine affection. When things get serious and there is no way to lighten the mood with her antics, she wears a smile proudly in the face of adversity to calm those around her. She drops the silliness, she becomes a rock and a pillar that those around her can hold onto to persevere. She strategizes, she calculates, she delegates, taking command if need be to destroy the obstacle.

When she needs to fight herself, whether to protect someone or to right an injustice this demeanor changes. She smiles yes, she talks and teaches as always, no ounce of fear inside her but there is a cold hate behind that smile. She can be merciless, unflinching even as she rips apart a foes inside with her poisonous magic. She seems to relish those moments where her enemies hack up blood or scream from the pain. She shows the reason why she was once called, the Toxic Witch.

Background:

Born inside the guild, Alla'fey was fully indoctrinated into the cult of science and alchemy. She was a natural intellect and even from a young age as a scribe she had her hands in alot of the Guild's activities. She had single handedly developed formula and magi-alchemical processes that twisted ether into transmutation in revolutionary ways. Her specialty however was in the field of organic chemistry, having learned and utilize techniques to save lives despite the conditions. She was the youngest fully certified Alchemist in recent Guild history and was destined to join the greatest of the Guild's Projects, sentient transmutation, so that the secrets of immortality could be in the hands of the Guild.

Having worked on the project, they had run into several impossibilities that were particularly stubborn. Alla'fey left Helmuth to join the Field Researchers, the brave alchemists whom acquire and study samples and elements found on other islands. For years of her life, she would hire monster hunters to slay some poor beast, then to have her acquire the materials from the corpse. She had catalogged dozens of new samples, and while most of them didn't aid with the Project, their applications could not be ignored.

Knowing full well of the effects of elements and chemicals on the human body, the unfortunate concept of a pandemic and quarantine was not unknown to them. Islands could be isolated. Populations with no where to go. Completely dedicated to the guild, Alla'fey would unleash disease upon the enemies of the Guild, killing indiscriminately. On atleast two occasions an island was rendered completely sterile so that the Guild could claim the resources for the dying Helmuth. Whispers would circle of a small child with a bird mask bringing death in her wake. Fear the Toxic Witch...

But some things are more important than loyalty and duty and devotion, and those things can change someone. In her research travels, she had to deal with alot of people, alot of islands and alot cultures. Harvin weren't specific to a few islands, and she found herself on Zigguaraut. She was following a lead, a rumor from an apprentice mapmaker and sky farer. He was charming, funny, persistent. Following the lead became a great adventure and while the lead was a bust, she ended up finding something that changed her. She spent another adventure with him, then another. She fell in love, and found a family, a real family with him. They didnt care what she did, and welcomed her.

She abandoned her name, her title, and her guild, getting married to someone outside of it. It was soon after that the Guild came looking for their cherished asset. Hiding her marriage was easy, hiding the swelling in her belly was not. Making excuses, her loyalty was cast into question and she had to flee before her secret was discovered, the Guild hot on her heels.

Her mistake was trying to return to her husband as she brought the enforcers right to them. The couple tried to flee, taking to the air, with the Guild in pursuit. Despite all her best efforts, all of her magic and knowledge, she was saved by her husband but he was taken. She hadn't seen him since, and she long accepted that he is dead.

Hiding out she gave birth to a beautiful baby boy she named Hans. She had made enough allies in her travels and expeditions that finding a place to hide could be feasible, but the Guild was tenacious. She was their best asset, and knew their darkest secrets. They would hunt her, kill her if she didn't come back. They'd kill or take Hans too, tying up loose ends, something she couldn't let happen.

She left her baby boy with someone who she'd trust, someone who didn't stay in one place. Who would always move, the way she had to always move. The best way to protect him would be out of his life. She'd begin a crusade against her former guild, wearing their gear in spite and mockery, gaining as much power and allies as she could while undermining their efforts and every opportunity.

She remained in hiding, her name, her identity, her past, and her son. She was just an alchemist, a teacher, a healer. Just another member the Guild hired out for ways of earning income. She would claim membership when it was easy to do so, but the word would always sit as bile in her mouth.

Alchemist Field Garb - The Alchemists have a number of different work uniforms and ceremonial robes but Poxanne was a field researcher. Her dark leather robes are greased to make sure potentially dangerous fluids do not linger if splashed on her and diffuse sources of high heat. Particularly useful against fire and acid. In terms of armor, it’s just regular leather.

Alchemist Triage Mask - Following alchemical accidents and foraging in particularly toxic environments, field Alchemists usually wear these masks to protect themselves from noxious fumes and toxic spores. Makes for a great gasmask.

Mantle of the Star Maiden - Having been a skyfarer for nearly a decade, Poxanne had gathered a number of enchanted artifacts. One of her favorites is this oversized hat, something she recieved as a gift on one of her adventures. It’s an amplifier for magic as it acts as a cyphone for latent ether and helps distill it. When in a fully charged area, the hat has a habit of raining down bits of ambient light around its caster. It so compact that the light can be actually held, great sources of light that could be held or thrown.

The Gaian Grimoire - An artifact of her own creation. It contains the information of all the plant species and naturally occurring elements written in a ink of quicksilver and the crushed petals of 111 different flowers with each page painstakingly written to contain alchemical recipes and sigils of transmutation. The book is a powerful alchemical instrument, that can as part of her spells, break down nearby components and transmute them into different items altogether. The elements are absorbed into the pages, refined through the sigils and emerge formed through the transmutation circles that are etched into every twenty fifth page. This break down process cannot be used by anything moving (so no rending down a person amidst a fight for instance) and bigger or more complicated items take more time.

Her little frame also seems to support a small lab of vials, tubes, grenades, jars, flasks, salves, syringes, potion, medical equipment, alchemical tools, and a myriad of other gadgets for observation and research. She carries enough on her in her giant backpack and pouches that she can perform surgery, conduct her experiments, and brew potions.

More ‘mundane’ weapons are her grenades whether shrapnel, fire, smoke, or poisonous (Choking Gas) and she has a number of darts, mostly tipped with paralytics.

She is currently not married, she has a wedding ring on a chain around her neck which she never takes off. Next to that is a little locket that looks like a blooming flower.

Home: The Sunrise Bounty. A Galleon style ship suspended by a large white balloon with a skull and crossbones painted on either side. Commanded by Captain Dawn Tydes this notorious pirate ship has terrorized the skies of tyragrande for years. At least, that’s what most people in the inner islands believe. In reality the crew of The Sunrise Bounty acted more like Robin Hood and his merry men. They would target ships or supply lines of highclass islands, then find an island or town in need and give their haul to the local populace boosting their economy. Sure they would keep some for themselves, but a pirates gotta make a living, right?

Gimmicks: Well versed in Kusarigamajutsu as well as basic wind magic, Sid’s style of fighting focuses on keeping his opponents off balance and at a manageable distance while he dances around them. He can create gusts of wind by swinging the ball and chain to push his enemies around. Then when he has a clear chance, he strikes quickly to disarm or bring them down and use the kama to finish the job.

His air control doesn’t stop there, as Sid has excellent maneuverability in the air. He can perform a number of acrobatics as well as jump to extreme heights. If he needs extra leverage he will often use his Kusarigama as a grapple to swing or pull himself even higher. This is especially useful when he needs to close the distance on long range opponents or even escape a bad situation

Personality: To put it simply, Sid is optimistic and adventurous. He looks at every challenge with a big grin on his face no matter how dire. He can be a bit on the impulsive side. Rarely thinking ahead before jumping into things. But that doesn’t mean he won’t watch his step. He’s been in enough jams to make him cautious, just not enough to make him stop. People are a different story. Sid can be a bit too trusting, especially with those who claim to sail under a black flag. He was always taught about “honor among thieves” and does his best to live up to such creeds even if others don’t. The only exception to this would be to anyone who was once part of the Zweite navy. After what happened to him and his crew, he has a hard time even being around anyone associated with them.

When it comes to Sid’s mannerism. He could use an etiquette lesson or two… Maybe three. He doesn’t mean to come off as being rude or slobish, but being raised by pirates doesn’t exactly make for the tidiest or well mannered of folk.

Background: Sid’s life before piracy is all but a distant memory at this point. Maybe he was rescued by them, or maybe he was abducted or sold into them. Whatever the case, Sid found himself aboard The Sunrise Bounty at the ripe age of 5 working as a cabin boy. His duties consisted of mostly scrubbing the deck and maintaining the crews equipment. He didn’t mind the work too much, however, as the crew treated him well and would often regail him with stories of adventure on the high skies. This was especially true for the captain herself, a Draph by the name Dawn Tydes.

Tydes took a shine to Sid who in turn idolized the fearless swashbuckler. Taking him under her wing she began tutoring him in combat and skyfaring while Arlon the navigator taught him how to read and write. He took to the lessons quickly and by age 13 he was boarding ships and plundering loot like a real pirate. The crew saw him as one of their own, and Tydes saw a true successor to take up her mantle when the day came to hang up her coat. Of course she didn’t plan to retire until they succeeded in the ultimate quest; Finding Estalucia and taking all it’s vast riches.

But we don’t always get what we want.

A few days after he turned 18, the crew went after a small cargo ship. It wasn’t heavily guarded and was flying at a lower speed. An easy target. Almost too easy. Once they had caught and boarded the ship, they found it had been deserted, and the only cargo was black powder. It didn’t take a genius to realize it was a trap, but before the crew could escape, an entire Zweite Junta fleet descended upon them and opened fire on the cargo ship.

The ship exploded taking everyone aboard with it and leaving only a handful of the crew left. The Sunrise Bounty was heavily damaged as well making it impossible to escape. Knowing it was their last stand, Tydes lead Sid below deck claiming she had a plan to turn this around. She knew he would have stayed and fought to the end with her and everyone else, but she couldn’t let him die like this. So instead she shoved him into a lifeboat and sent him off to the nearest island. Once he was off the ship Tydes and the remaining crew put on a hell of a show distracting the Zweite navy long enough for Sid’s boat to escape.

For the next few years Sid wandered alone. He heard through the grapevine that the attack was a bloodbath with no survivors. Aimlessly he travelled hopping from ship to ship, island to island trying to find out what he would do in life. Until one fateful day he laid eyes on a sight that shook him to his very soul. It had a new paint job and it flew new flags, but it was unmistakably The Sunrise Bounty flying over head. He couldn’t believe it. Those Zweite Junta bastards had salvaged his ship and were now using it for who knows what!

Filled with rage and flooded with memories of every soul on that ship, Sid swore on Tydes’ name that he would retake The Sunrise Bounty and accomplish what she couldn’t.

Name: Mushi

Home: Mushi comes from the island of Kaifeng. It is a place where the inhabitants compete to prove that their fighting style is the best, in violently destructive but surprisingly nonlethal fashion. On Kaifeng, the tradition of "dojo destroying" is ubiquitous and literal. A dojo's worth is in some ways measured by how old their building is. Needless to say, the construction industry thrives, as does the medical industry. Tournaments of various shapes and sizes are held on practically a daily basis.

Gimmicks: Mushi has a "Kung Fu" or "Wuxai" style fighting style, full of elaborate special moves and forms, that flirts with and then directly crosses over into the supernatural with fiery effects on her attacks. She is a very impressive duelist with a minor in excessive property damage. However, she's relatively poor at terrain advantage, ranged combat, underhanded tactics, and multi-person fights, all things her rigid training didn't prepare her for. She believes this to be a flaw of her style, and set out in the wider world to gain experience to fix that, but, well, she hasn't exactly had a lot of time to gain that experience yet.

Personality: Mushi has the smug overconfidence of someone who is sure they've got things figured out, that they're the one who has cracked the code of how the world works. And who hasn't had enough life experience to get proven wrong yet, given the ripe old age of fifteen. Mushi is concerned that due to the lack of external influence, rather than Kaifeng's ubiquitous competitions driving them to higher and higher heights of martial prowess, everyone's simply cyclically developing stale counters to each other. In short, she thinks that everyone's playing the meta rather than developing a style that has true adaptability and power. She thinks that in order to make progress towards that unattainable perfection of a 'strongest' sword style, she must leave home to explore the wider world. And hit it really hard.

Background: Mushi was born into the warrior's life. Or, well, the life of the warrior who studies battle and spars, but doesn't actually ever fight with life and death upon the line. She was born and raised as the fourth of six blood heirs of the Naha dojo, which was only demolished three times during her childhood. Quite the impressive feat thanks to the strength of her Father. But each time it was demolished, and each time they rebuilt, it left a mark on Mushi's mind. Rather than seek further strength, they simply devised counters to the moves that had defeated them this time. This left Mushi disillusioned with the Naha fighting style, even though she still practiced it.

In order to begin searching the skies, Mushi took up being a mercenary. She was getting along just fine enough at this job until her first shore leave, at which point her culture's rather literal interpretation of dojo destroying resulted in her incarceration.

Inventory: Mushi carries a massive blade that one would think would be more akin to a siege weapon than a device of personal defense. It is both, in Mushi's hands.
