Tyrin noticed the felyne cook making his way towards where he and Tove were sitting and eating and welcomed him."Ah our chef joins us in his good graces," Tyrin said in welcome to the felyne, Simon, as he joined them."The soup's good as usual but I can't wait to see what you cook up once we're off this boat. I'm a bit tired of fish."

"Fish always good," Tove argued back while Tyrin rolled his eyes at his companion.
"If we had it your way you'd eat fish at every meal,"Tyrin countered with Tove giving a smile and eating more of his own soup.

"I promise to carve some good chunks of meat from hunts to bring back for you to do what you will," Tyrin stated with a smile at Simon ",Sure you can make something amazing out of whatever we bring back. Better then just the normal slow cooking over a fire."

While Tyrin was conversing with the chef, Tove looked around and had noticed one of the other hunters from earlier had also seem to come down to the gally, it was hard to say how the felyne felt for the other hunters at the moment. He had little time to know them while on the ship surprisingly enough. Currently she seemed to be conversing with another member of the team, one of the farmers, if Tove identified the clothes right. For the time he returned to the conversation going on with Tyrin and Simon.

Yurel - Jaggi

Suicide? Really, they were that strong? Huh... well, they were a herd, after all. Maybe if it was just one, but otherwise, Sauron made a lot of sense, as usual. That was why he was the leader, after all! Well, that and how big he was.

The point being, he began moving off once the herd had left, and- oh boy, bugs had been dug up! Easy pickings! But likewise, Scrap was still terrified and hiding behind a rock. Ah, jeez, he had to get him back to his senses first, even if it meant upsetting Sauron, right? They'd catch up easily, so sure.

'Psst! Scrap!' Yurel called to his friend, running over to his side and nudging him. 'The Duramboroses are gone now, you can come out. We need to get going before our prey starts hiding, come on.'

As the island got ever closer, Devrin figured he should take care of his grumbling stomach before they got there. He headed down to the galley and noticed that he wasn't the only one with that idea. He decided it would be best to not sit at the same table with Sunshine. The chef seemed to be talking with one of the other hunters and his palico, so he helped himself to some soup so as to not disturb him. Devrin then went and found an unoccupied table to sit at so he could eat in peace.

Swiper's first instinct upon seeing the pink rathian was fear, but this was soon replaced by relief when he saw it was sleeping. He circled the flying wyvern a few times trying to figure out the easiest way to get one of those eggs out from under there. Perhaps if he reached in very gently between her tail and her feet he could get one. He would just have to be really careful like.

"A belly full of trouble."

As Luna continued to eat her food, she was slowly enjoying it, especially since the chefs were adorable. Watching them waddle around while they have food trays over their head and watching them carry those said trays to hunters was quite amusing. This may be why Luna is a felyne type of person. I do miss my Palico. Luna thought.

But that same thought did lead to a PTSD sort of flashback on the horrors of watching her Palico get devoured by a Teostra and Lunastra as it sacrificed itself to save Luna. And since it was a whole episode, she accidentally knocked the bowl of soup on her table and smashed the bowl on the floor. "Ah... Gods save me." She muttered as she got off her chair and started picking up the shards of bowl while one of the chef felyne's helped her.

She continuously apologised as she gave the shards she had collected in the dust pan that the felyne was using to collect them in. She held her head was seemed to be receiving a small migraine. And when that Prick from earlier walked in, she swore it got worse.

Jun almost gagged at the mention of the two monsters; Zamtrios was his worst nightmare personified, a shark with a frog's amphibious lifestyle, and Gigginox was generally very unpleasant no matter how he looked at it. "Yare yare," the Yukumo-born hunter/researcher groaned, looking very pale. "I...think I'll move on for now. Gomen." With that, Jun moved to a different spot on the deck, sitting down cross-legged and pulling out one of his favorite novels to pass the time.

Ten almost felt her heart stop when she heard the Giaprey rapidly returning. She wasn't expecting them to come back as quickly as they did, so it was at that moment that she needed to think of a plan, and fast.

Giaprey couldn't swim, at least not to the extent that amphibians like a Zamite or Zamtrios could, so Ten frantically began making her way to the nearest body of water that she could smell, hurrying along as fast as her legs would carry her.

Hunters

The trip on the boat was fairly uneventful ignoring the chatting and accidents that went down by the cooking pot. The seas were kind all the way until they reached the river, it was now that the hunters would get their first real look at the island. While this first look would be of swampy mangrove it was beautiful in it's own way. The drooping willow tree leaves hanging over the rivers edge, so of the branches extending far enough to reach the boat itself. "Would you look at that. Magnificent."

There would be a good few hours of sailing before they got to their destination at the end of the river, the journey would be mostly peaceful bar a few monsters giving the boat a dirty look. That was until a few Remobra decided to descend upon the boat. "Oh that's just perfect! Hunters! Deal with these pests! Everyone else back to your cabins!" Berillius maintained his position at the wheel of the boat, having to keep the thing heading down the river safely.

There was around 20 Remobras circling the boat, most of them flying out of blades reach and hurling globs of poison onto the deck. There were a few that had landed and were hissing and fighting one another as the headed towards where the food and cooking pot were.

Yurel

Scrap would look up at Yurel, still obviously on edge he got to his feet and shook himself off. "I-uhhh. Sorry about that, those things are just... So scary, I thought I was going to get spotted for sure." With that said Scrap would head off with Yurel, the pair of them having to really pick up the pace to catch up with Sauron who at this point was running at full speed. They would follow the tracks of the Duramboros herd for a good few minutes before they found their first panicked animal, an Apceros that was separated from its herd in the panic. Sauron stood there crouched down behind a rock and looked back at the pair.

"Scrap, Yurel. You two get it's attention, make it focus on you. When that's done I'll come in from the side and knock it down. After that we go for the kill. Alright move!" Sauron would say his tone commanding but not in a nasty way. Then Sauron would make himself scarce, heading around and looking for a position to properly flank the Apceros.

"Lets try not get our heads knocked of yeah Yurel, heh heh." Scarp fidgeted nervously as he looked at the stampeding Apceros. Scarp let out a quick whimper before running at the armored herbivore, barking and growling at it making sure to keep his distance.

Ten

Ten's short legs would betray her as the clattering of claws on ice and snow grew closer and closer. Then suddenly the clattering would be over powered by the mixed sounds of crashing ice and a roar. It seemed that the creature was a Lagombi, and a mad one at that. Ten seemed to have some awful luck, ending up in the middle of a battle between a Lagmobi and a Giaprey pack. But perhaps this could be used to the young Zarmite's advantage, if the Lagombi took our a Giaprey or two then that would be another easy meal perhaps even enough for a small spurt of growth. But if a few of the Giaprey decided they wanted to go after Ten instead of the Lagmombi, then she'd be in major trouble.

Swiper

It looked like Swiper's egg swiping experience wasn't failing him, the Pink Rathian only stirring slightly as he reached in for the egg. But it was that moment that the ground began to shake a little. Something big was coming, or lots of big something more accurately. The tremors didn't seem to be bothering the Pink Rathian yet, so Swiper had to make a quick decision. There wasn't much time before whatever was making all that noise got here and the Rathian was woken from it's slumber. Run? Take the egg? Both?

Yurel - Jaggi

'Those things are probably cowards, anyway,' Yurel comforted Scrap as the trio ran on. 'I bet if they'd have seen you, they'd have been all "bwuuuh, oh no, it's Scrap the Jaggi, I'm super scared guys!"' He snickered wheezily at his joke, only for his laughter to be interrupted by the appearance of an Apceros. Aw yes, now this was a meal.

'I won't get my head knocked off, Scrap,' Yurel promised. 'Just don't get yours knocked off.' With that, he joined Scrap, his own barks and snarls in the Apceros' direction coming out as partial wheezes; at the same time, he circled round the herbivore in the opposite direction to Sauron's absconding, making sure to try and keep its attention on him and his friend so that it wouldn't spot the Great Jaggi sneaking up behind it.

Tyrin had been recounting a tale of when he and Tove had been sent out to track and hunt a Diablos out in some wastes when commotion from the top deck descended downward. Through the commotion, it sounded like that some monsters had decided to attack the ship
"Simon the food was delicious but duty calls. Come on Tove," Tyrin bid the chef a quick goodbye as he pushed his way out of the gallery and making his way back to the top deck with Tove. Upon reaching the top deck, they could see some a small swarm of Remobra were circling and causing a mess.

Tove barely jumped back in time as a glob of poison hit the deck, scrunching his nose in disgust at the putrid stuff. Most seemed to just be out of blade reach but spotting a few that had landed, Tyrin focused his attention on them."All right guess we get to do some early hunting," Tyrin said grabbing the large blade he carried off his back and bringing it forward, ready to strike at the nearest Remobra ",Sorry but that food is ours." Charging forward he made his way to put himself between the cooking pot and the encroaching Remobra's. Tove brought out his own weapon, a small sword perfect for his size.

Jun barely stirred from his nap as the boat neared the island; the only thing that woke him from his relaxation was the yelling and hissing of the crew and a flock of Remobras.

"Yare, yare," Jun groaned, standing up and preparing his gunlance, "can't a casanova such as myself get a little shut-eye while he sails?" Not wasting any time, he aimed the tip of his gunlance barrel at a small group of the snake wyverns and unleashed a shell in an attempt to blast them out of the air.

Ten heard a Lagombi end up betwixt herself and the Giaprey pack, giving the Zamite another chance to frantically sprint towards the smell of the ocean; if she made it to the edge, she would leap off and into the water, safe from the creeping danger. If she was caught in the crossfire, then she was as good as dead.

"Explosive introduction or something stupid like that."

Luna heard feint screeching coming in from above her, her hearing was a bit muffled since her head was still hurting from the slight incident that happened seconds ago. Splash! A ball of poison spit landed in front of her and she immediately ducked away, grabbing her switch axe that was just resting on her table while she was eating. She rolled away from another spit attack and drew out her weapon after her roll. "I broke a bowl and now Remombras are everywhere, can this day get any worse?" She asked herself rhetorically.

Luna's eyes jumped from Remombra to Remombra, finding one that she could reach and also wasn't being handled by another hunter. She spotted one a couple meters away and jumped in with a fiery attack to charge her phial, the remombra would be injured if it hit and would probably screech back at her, but it did spit at her, and since the weapon had some weight to it, her dodge was quite late and she was hit with the poison. She powered through the poison and threw an attack to kill off the Remombra, if it hit it would guarantee the death of that one remombra; and now with a full charged phial she could do something fun.

But first, "Does anyone have an antidote?!" She yelled out, as she coughed and felt the sting in her veins that were now bulging out in a purple hue as she was slowly getting weaker from the poison.

When they were called to action Devrin had to abandon his breakfast and ran to retrieve his weapon. His comrades were already working on repelling the remobra menace when he saw Luna get hit and call for an antidote. He rushed across the deck toward Luna, unsheathing his charge blade as he did so. When he reached her he lifted his shield over them to protect them from further attacks and handed her an antidote.

"We're off to a great start," he remarked.

Swiper was quite pleased with himself for successfully getting his hands on the eggs. Then the rumbling started. Something, or some things, were heading this way. Surely the Rathian would be awoken by all the noise. He needed to go.

Not wanting to abandon his prize, Swiper began doing his best to climb back down the slope without dropping the egg.

Hunters

Tyrin and Trove would find themselves confronted by a trio of Remobras all lined up. The middle on flew towards Tyrin going to lash at him with it's whip like tail while the one on left took a shot at Trove with some poison, the one on the right simply let out a screech and rattled it's tail.

Luna's attacks would strike true, the second blow slicing the throat of the Remobra open. And after Devrin covered her and handed her an antidote a Remobra would latch to his shield and try to bite at his shoulder from on the shield, this attack would leave it wide open to a counter attack.

Jun's gunlance shot would ground the two Remobra above him, one of which would fall directly at him. The noise of the shot also drew the attention of some of the circling Remobra making them screech and his in response.

Yurel

The Apceros was initially startled as the pair of Jaggi assaulted it with barks and growls, it let out a cry of it's own before taking up it's defensive stance. It turned and angled it's armoured back at the pair, it's tail swinging back and forth ever so slightly making it hard to tell if it was going to swing or not.

Sauron was still getting into position when the Apceros took a swing at the pair with it's tail, almost out of nowhere. Scrap managed to hop back out of the way but tripped, falling onto his side leaving him in a terrible spot.

Ten

The echos of the conflict would slowly drift away as Ten made her mad dash towards the ocean. Though unfortunately there was still a set of clattering claws behind her, from the sounds of it a lone Giaprey had been sent after her. The clattering would stop as the Giaprey jumped at Ten, landing right in front of her and cutting off her escape. But it was on it's own so maybe she could bring it down for food, or barrel past it and get into the ocean.

Swiper

Swiper made a good choice leaving as the rumbling got louder and the shaking got more fierce. Now it was clear what was making the disturbance, a herd of Duramboros were stampeding towards the marshland obviously drawn to the water. Swiper would be able to hear the Pink Rathian waking up as he made his way down the the slope. At the moment it hadn't noticed it's missing egg as it seemed to be more focused on figuring out what the disturbance was.

It's head suddenly loomed over the slop though the gaze of the Rathian was set in the direction of the Duramboros. Though being so close to the Rathian meant one false move and he'd be spotted for sure.

Tyrin held his blade up only quick enough to not get hit by the Remobra's tail that was attacking him."That was too close," Tyrin mumbled to himself ",Definitely been on this boat to long if I was about to get hit by that." Taking an offensive stance he waited for another opening to send his blade forward to try and strike the beast.

While Tyrin began facing off against the Remobra that decided to attack him, Tove had a fight of his own to deal with having to stumble out of the way before getting hit by posion. He needed to watch out. Most of his supplies were still under deck and only had one antidote. Seems hope for at least an uneventful day until landing was out of the question."Stupid flying lizard," mumbled the felyne grabbing his own weapon off his back and punced forward to strike the creature. Out of the corner of his eye he noticed there was a third one that would have to be dealt with but for now it seemed to be staying back, perhaps waiting for a different opportunity to strike.

Keeping an eye on the Remobra that fell towards him, Jun skewered the snake wyvern with a thrust of his gunlance's blade, then brought the weapon slamming down hard on the other grounded Remobra. After crushing the monster with the maneuver, Jun pulled one of his gunlance's three triggers and engulfed the two snake wyverns in an explosion of burst fire.

Just barely picking up the scent of the Giaprey standing between her and the ocean, Ten made a desperate leap with her powerful legs towards the right flank of the icy bird wyvern, praying that she would land in the safety of the ocean with that leap of faith.

Yurel - Jaggi

Their strategy was foolproof, or should have been. By presenting its armoured backside, the Apceros left its front open to Sauron's attack. And it was distracted with them, but oh boy, did it swinging its tail make a bit of an issue there. Yurel almost didn't get out of the way in time, himself, flinging himself backwards to avoid the spikes and nearly tripping over his feet, and he could see Scrap had managed to fall over, landing on his side. Exposed, vulnerable if the Apceros tried to finish the job.

Yurel's immediate response was to double up on his barking and screeching, lunging forward as if to attack, but merely using that as a ploy to scare the Apceros into ignoring his friend. If he needed to, he'd rush over and help Scrap get back up, keeping them both away from the giant herbivore's attacks if possible; otherwise, he'd keep drawing its attention with his angry vocalising, hopefully ensuring it'd be too scared of him to realise it could go for the fallen Jaggi.

"It kind of burns."

Luna looked at the guy, she almost didn't accept it, but she swallowed her pride and took the antidote from him and let out a "Thanks, appreciate that." Her eyes then shifted to the Remombra that flew above them and she immediately took a step back just in case it would do something it would regret, then again Remombras won't be regretting stuff when they're dead.

"Hey!" Luna called out to Devrin, "As much as I hate to say it, how about we put that whole 'push you off the boat' thing behind us." She raised her switch axe to show her strength, "Even though you know I could do it." She joked letting out a cheeky smile before setting eyes on that Remombra that was doing dive bombs.

Devrin was surprised. So she was capable of polite. With that out of the way it was time to deal with the Remobra clinging to his shield. His sword was laying on the deck by his feet after he had dropped it to free up his hand to reach the antidote, so he simply swung the shield and slammed the pesky little wyvern against the ship's mast to buy himself time to retrieve his sword and face the rest of the Remobra.

"Maybe if I let you," Devrin replied to Luna with a cheeky grin of his own. "Don't forget that you're not the only one who has to swing a giant axe around."

As if to emphasize his point Devrin switched his charge blade over into axe mode for some extra reach and took a swing at the remaining Remobra.

To say that Swiper was nervous when he saw the Rathian's head peak over the ledge above him would be an understatement. He was absolutely petrified. Not wanting to abandon his prize, Swiper pressed himself as close as he could to the ledge, stayed completely still, and just hoped the Rathian wouldn't look down and notice.

Hunters

The Remobra attacking Tyrin would recoil as it's tail struck his weapon starting to back up as to find a new angle of attack, as for the Remobra that was sitting back in wait it decided that now was a time to dive at Tyrin mouth open wide showing off it's fangs.

The Remobra Trove jumped at would shit itself slightly and Trove's attack would miss, though the Palico would find himself on the back of that Remobra, it would start reeling and trying to shake the felyne from it's back.

The Remobra Jun impaled would expire as the massive gunlance was brought down, and it's friend would get horribly burnt form the burst fire, it wouldn't be a problem anymore either. Now Jun was left with the option of helping others, though there were still a few Remobra circling the boat, so maybe he could try and drive them off.

Devrin slamming the Remobra into the mast would make it screech in pain and slide off the shield, though the snake was not yet dead. It stumbled and tried to correct itself giving Dervin or Luna a chance to finish it off, though there was a new pair of Remobra making their way towards that two, hissing and rattling their tails as the approached.

Yurel

The Apceros was taking by surprise buy the sudden advance letting out a roar and swinging it's tail at Yurel in retaliation. Scarp quickly scrabbled to his feet taking the precious few moments Yurel gave him to get back onto his feet. Sauron was now on his way charging from behind the Apceros, head low and posture ready to launch an attack. The Apceros' focus was still directed at Yurel as it planted it's armored shell back onto the ground taking up it's defensive poster again.

Ten

Ten's leap of faith would be successful, the Giaprey thinking it was an attack hopped back leaving Ten to fly into the ocean. Now in open water Ten had many different options, she was safe from danger. For now.

Swiper

The Pink Rathian's gaze would remain fixed on the massive Duramboros herd, she growled and scraped her foot on the ground before letting out a huge roar to make sure the Duramboros didn't come any closer. Her roar served little to disturb most of the herd, though a few took the threat and roared back this made the Rathain jump down from her nest and continue to threaten the one or two Duramboros reacted to her roar. The protective mother would not risk these brutes destroying her nest.

Tyrin watched the Remobra, waiting for his own opening to strike it down. The beast eventually took another chance to attack, but this time Tyrin was ready and he launched forward to meet the beast's attack with his own large blade.
"Not this time you ugly little beast," he stated bringing his weapon down upon the creature.

While Tyrin dealt with his Remobra, Tove's situation had evolved into an another matter entirely. Having missed his attack and landed on the Remobra's back he had proceeded his best to hold on tightly to the creature, shouting a curse here and there as he was thrown about on its back, doing his best to try and stab at the creature."Eck I'm going to be sick," the felyne muttered as he managed to pierce the creature a few times ",stupid beast, stupid boat."
