@Stitches Well, there's a few things.

A Were-anything wouldn't do very well in the city. especially if the Prince knew about it. If this was kept a secret, there's no way the Prince would hire a woman who can barely read, and is constantly winded. As for the child of the Forest, this is taking place in a city. There are really only gardens with flowers, and grass.

Another thing is that the Fae, aren't really like that. In Pathfinder, the Fey are Pixies, Elves, and Nyphs, and they possess supernatural abilities in the form of magic. Eating the heart of a fey and taking their abilities would likely just give you low-light vision and minor casting abilities. Oh, and immunity to magical sleep effects, as well as resistance to charm effects.

Now, that's not to say this character is hopeless. Your character seems to share some similarities to a race known as Skinwalkers. I think with a little bit of effort we can make this work. It also may help is Victor is involved in some way. Perhaps he was the one who applied, and has listed Adrian as say, an apprentice, but you could just control Adrian and maybe be like "Oh he came down with a sudden sickness and I'm filling in for him for now." or he could just leave and do whatever as soon as they step out of the castle. Alternatively, you play as both characters.

@Lord Orgasmo

Hey, thanks for replying so quickly - I'm more than happy to work with you to get Adrian included into the RP, so I'll go through the issues as they show up in your post.

The first (and most obvious) error that I've made so far is that I've written it in such a way to assume that the Prince has directly asked Adrian - he didn't, he definitely asked Victor who will be a character of his own run by a different player called DinoNuts. Dino just woke up so he'll be working on his sheet as soon as Adrian's been given the green light. That makes Adrian sort of a....sidekick, brought along to assist in any way she can.

As for being constantly winded and not being able to read, she's just a flighty, sprinty kind of gal - obviously she's able to function like any other human being but she's built for speed and agility. Given her skills, a lot of them can be transferrable to an investigative situation - her tracking skills in particular have made her observant, she knows what to look for in the more minute cases - scuff marks on a floor, indentations in the wallpaper, misplaced dust. Not to mention that her abilities also make her stealthy and agile; even in a crowded street, se can climb gutter pipes and wiggle through open windows. We are, after all, investigating the disappearance of an entire district's worth of people, and I'm more than happy to play a character who isn't the ideal candidate because (as you've said before) she's more of an apprentice than anything else. She also has her uses in beast form, mainly increased sense of smell, heightened hearing, etc.

I'd like to hear more about how Pathfinder represents the Fae then, since all I've ever known are mischievous tricksters who talk in riddles and steal away children - this particular tribe mistakenly worshipped some sort of Pixie as a deity, which is why she was taken away. I'm more than happy to give Adrian low-light vision, but wouldn't healing spells be minor casting abilities?

I can definitely make her a skinwalker. To be fair, she's far more humanoid than wolf in her original concept too. She's very fleshy, can go bipedal, has hands and all that jazz. She looks nasty. From what I read in the link you provided, Skinwalkers have control over their beast form as well - that's easy enough to arrange. Adrian already had a decent measure of control to begin with, she just became a lot more impulsive when she transformed.

So yeah, do tell me more about these Pixies and Nymphs, and I can alter her experiences appropriately (and maybe a bit more about skinwalkers, just in case I got my information wrong). Is there anything else I should fix up?

@HokumPocus BONE SAW IS READY... You may add it to the CHAR tab.

@Stitches For the Fey, they could almost be described as natural spirits. Minus the whole ghost part if the spirits. Fey include, like before, Nymphs and Pixies, but also include more common creatures like Satyrs and Dryads. Many of them are how you originally thought. Tricksters who like to mess with people. However most of this is usually seen as harmless fun. Like pixies might set you on fire, but the fire wont actually burn you, Nymphs might turn invisible and use magic to project their voices all across the forest until you get lost, Satyrs might spike your drink and steal your stuff. Some do take it to the extreme, like Dryads being extremely territorial, and stepping on a twig might send them into a rage, or a Nymph might disguise themselves as a beautiful woman who lures you to a pond, where she drowns you and takes your treasure. Fey are just like people in that there are good and evil ones, but just about all of them could be described as "chaotic". Lastly, there are designated evil Fey. These are probably the ones you are most familiar with. A commonly known evil Fey would probably be a Hag. Hags are just about what you'd expect. They're basically right out of Jack and Jill. Lure some kids into a gingerbread house disguised as a nice old lady, and then throw them in the oven and eat them. Fey can be found all across the material plane, which is the plane if existence you're in now, but they do have their own plane of existence, technically. It is known as the First World. It was basically the Gods' first attempt at making a world, and was the rough draft of what is now the material plane and the plane of shadows. The only real way to get to the first world is through a high level spell. There are other ways, yes, but using a spell like that is the easiest, fastest, most reliable, and efficient way there.

Whew. That was a mouthful. Er, textful? As for minor spells gotten from them, heres what I'm thinking: pick two cantrips and two first level spells from the druid spell list. If you like you can choose from a different spell list as long as the spell is ran by me first.

As for Skinwalkers, they usually try to keep their heritage a secret from most human-like races. But animal-like races, such as Tengu or Catfolk tend to get along with them better, and have a more established relationship with the Skinwalkers. Also note that Skinwalkers are not full lycanthropes, they merely have ancestry of one. This doesn't mean that they cannot use their heritage, and can invoke their lycanthropic ancestry to change shape, whether it be Werewolf, Werebear, and yes, even a Wereshark. Yes, those are a thing in pathfinder. No, I dont know what they were smoking. Once they have shifted, they fo become faster, stronger and tougher, but retain their intelligence and whatnot. They are usually fully aware of what they are doing. But that's not to say some have difficulty controlling their animal instincts and have a harder time controlling compulsions or focusing.

Ok, I think that should be it.

Speaking of magic, for all of you with it, you may "Swap Spells" during sections of rest and or relaxation. I'm going to limit this to only one spell at a time, however. If this causes problems, I'll try and find a way to work it out.

I really don't get the Pathfinder jargon, mind, so I don't know what Swapping Spells is. I've never played with that system ^^"

Anyway I fixed Adrian up for you, lemme know if there's anything else I need to fix!

@Stitches Swapping Spells is pretty much in the name. During a "Long Rest" which is essentially 8 hours of rest, usually spent sleeping, you may swap a spell out from your "prepared spells" which are just spells you've memorized, for another spell from your spell list, which I linked in the previous post. This process is usually very different for each spell casting class, but for this adventure, I'm going to simplify it for an easier time.

@Stitches". They warned her she will never return - and she took the promise solemnly, knowing that the Wildlings do not use their words superfluously" don't be so sure

"Keen Senses (+2 Perception and Low-light Vision)"
For this adventure, we aren't going to be using numbers very often, and when we do, I will decide the bonuses, if any, based on current events and conditions. So instead of "+2" we can just say that your senses are sharper.

Other than that. She's good to go, you may move her over.

Ahh but it's a high level spell to cast and they CBA dragging her back in unless she got something real good to show them. I'll fix up the stat part and chuck her in, then let Dino know to start working on Victor.

@HokumPocus,@DinoNuts, love these two, send a pm for collab any time. I check RG every day when I get off and usually reply in a timely manner. That goes for you too @Stitches, hit me up any time. I can't wait to get the ball rolling on this.

@Lord Orgasmo are we going to be placed together as a party? I mean I assume we are, but just for clarity. Also, are there going to be places of interest or any other additional references or info coming soon? Descriptions, guilds, taverns, etc., that sort of thing? And my last question (sorry, I didn't mean to pelt you there..), I can post anywhere between one and three posts at least 5+ paragraphs per week, and I was wondering what sort of posting requirements/post size game speed we are shooting for. Once an RP gets rolling I like to keep it that way. I dont do well with lengthy periods of anticipation or dry spells..

I'd also like to know what activity requirements are. Me and Dino usually work in collabs, which don't typically take too long but recently our schedules clash and it's hard to find time to write. Also, even if we aren't allowed to post in it yet, could we see the first IC post in advance to help combat this? A bit of a headstart, especially in the holiday period, will help us out immensely.

@Stitches@Arkitekt I'd like to try and have posts once or twice a week. I'm a pretty patient guy and am used to playing with slower players. I will hopefully have the first IC post up by the weekend, and I'll see about a lore dump of the city either later today or tomorrow at the latest containing places of significance.

Your posts don't need to be super long either. I'd like a couple of paragraphs, but you dont need to write a novel every post.

Yes, you will all be in a single party for the time being.

@Lord Orgasmo can Adrian detect magic? Are there any side effects of being in the First World for so long? I was under the assumption she's able to sense magic like many Spellcasters but since you're using an established system I thought I'd check
