Personality: She is an extremely confident girl who isn't afraid to voice her opinion to the world. She doesn't like people who question her expertise, thinking of them as idiots who don't know what they're talking about. She is a hard worker. Working up to late at night is something normal to her. She loves her robots very much and will scold any pilots who mishandles them.
Skills: A genius who got her Doctorate Degree at such a young age. She has the most knowledge of any human alive of Etherion and how to design the weapons that used the substance. She's also a skilled mechanic, able to tinker and repair the mechs on her own.
Short Bio: She was scouted and recruited by MAX FIRE pretty much right away as she was already making waves in the field of robotics even before her creation of Promethion. She spent day and night designing the robots and their combination system, to the point of sleeping on her work desk instead of her room. Her drive was not because of a desire to save the world, but it was simply only because of her own curiosity and pride. As a robot designer, she wanted to design a robot that would never be beaten by the monsters.
AT 5’5” Hazel is neither tall enough nor short enough to stand out from the average, and she doesn’t make much effort to stand out at all. Her fashion sense errs on the side of formal, if she has to be out and about, but if left to her own devices she’s more than happy to lounge in comfortable clothes. The sole oddity is her fondness for turtleneck sweaters with the collar pulled up over her mouth.
Gender: Female Age: 21 Job: MAX FIRE First Independent Special Squadron Pilot, Security Consultant Personality: Quiet. Not in the sense of ‘doesn’t talk much’, but in the sense of ‘doesn’t talk at all’. Hazel’s commentary, if she gives it, comes almost entirely in the way of expressions, signs, or typed text. If the option is available. She manages to seem dry and sarcastic anyway. She isn’t particularly unfriendly, just generally disinterested in people. Unless she’s actually doing her job she’s most likely to find a quiet corner somewhere to sit with her laptop, if not retreating to her own quarters entirely. She’ll ‘talk’, if you can understand her and you have something interesting to say, but people just don’t seem to be her priority. Unlike most of MAX FIRE, who seems humanistic in the extreme, one kind of gets the impression that Hazel is just along for the robots.
Her job, however, is where passion and profession intersect. Hazel is absolutely, immeasurably fascinated with her mecha. Not just her mecha, but everyone’s mecha. It’s the one subject that will get her full attention without fail, and the only one that seems to really fire up the relatively lethargic pilot. It was what brought her to MAX FIRE’s attention, after all, when she tried to access files on the machines for her own curiosity. She will converse for hours on end with anyone in the know about them, or even about the fictional machines that inspired them, given the chance. Not everyone welcomes this, and she’ll depart without complaint if she gets the feeling people would prefer to be left alone, but such talks are one of her most humanizing traits.
Even when it comes to her teammates, she seems to prefer people in the abstract sense than the real. Skills: Significant knowledge of computer systems, as evidenced by her unlawful entry to MAX FIRE’s records. If you were to read her list of charges like a job application it’d showcase technical skill, a preternatural grasp of social engineering (for someone who doesn’t talk), a knack for operational planning, and the ability to improvise when the plan goes awry. Said improvisation included a semi-successful attempted hijacking of one of Prometheus’ components, a big piece of what landed her the gig.
Hazel isn’t much of a fighter by herself, most of her self defense amounting to pulling every dirty trick in the book and running like hell, but she’s definitely got a knack for operating her machine. What she lacks in formal understanding of tactics seems to be made up for by an understanding of every mecha trope in the book, and the willingness to test things out on the fly. Where others might not succeed, she gets by using an ever-broadening understanding of her machine’s limits and potential.
How well she works in a more cohesive team remains to be seen. Short Bio: Exactly where Hazel A. Stoll came from is a little unclear, mostly because the girl won’t say much. Records of her attendance at university corroborate her recent history, but only stretching back a few years or two; a fairly unremarkable academic record, but not one that matches up with the intelligence she displays. If anything the school seems mostly to have been a way of accessing better resources. No one that has pressed on the matter has managed to dig much deeper.
What is clear is that she’s very good at finding out things she wants to know, and this trait brought her to MAX FIRE. Whispers about what Higini Somporn was working on reached her ears, enough to make her decide that she had to know. So over the better part of a year she researched MAX FIRE painstakingly, using what networked resources she could access to study her target. Transportation of raw materials, delivery dates, bureaucratic structure, floor plans filed with local government, any little tidbit she could find, coerce, dig up or steal. Everything she found seemed to keep pointing to the same thing, so she made a plan.
Through means not entirely known (Hazel isn’t talking) she breached the Science Fortress’ perimeter under the guise of a contractor, accessed the facility, bypassed the guards on site, the facility’s physical security, and actually gained access to the Prometheus compound.
Buuut skill only gets you so far, especially when you’re dealing with effective security. Caught redhanded Hazel tried to commit grand theft mecha to make good her escape, but was apprehended. Quite stunningly, depending on who you ask, given that it ended in the ISS’ captain dragging her from the cockpit.
Between how she accessed the compound and how she managed to get anywhere trying to steal a mech, MAX FIRE had some questions for her. A long hour ensued before her would-be interrogators figured out that she didn’t speak, not that she refused. Not that she was talkative once they got an interpreter that understood American Sign Language. It’s a little uncertain who pulled what strings, but rather than being tossed to the police for a decades-long-timeout Hazel was given a choice first. Work with MAX FIRE to help keep someone else from doing what she did, and be entered into the candidate pool for pilots or cool her heels in a cell.
Armaments: -x2 MAX FIRE Etherion Beam Cannons (3x batteries per cylinder, 1x full power shot per battery, 3x three-round burst per battery) -Obari Industries “Hellfire” HEDP Missiles x16 -Reinforced Nosecone and Wings
Weakness: Though capable of significant speeds, due to its intended purpose to augment Promethion’s own movement, pushing the Shrike to its limits is hazardous to both craft and pilot. If the batteries of its main cannons are exhausted, the Shrike cannot replenish them except through docking with Promethion’s maine Etherion engine. Despite its armor, as an aerial unit the Shrike cannot persist in operation in even a limited capacity if damage is incurred that cripples its flight capabilities.
Job: MAX FIRE 1st Independent Special Squadron Commander, Personnel Coordinator
Personality: Corinne is a cocky, commanding young woman with an indefatigable will and awe-inspiring presence. She is an obsessed, driven humanist, one who is preoccupied with the idea of her own destiny and that of her species. Her passion for humanity and the opportunity they have to keep pushing new barriers and breaking new ground has driven her into a frenzied rivalry with the kaiju; her hatred for them is borne out of a bizarre sense of respect, seeing them as humanity's final obstacle in their struggle to take command of their own fates. Every individual skirmish with every kaiju is one she sees as a step closer to that apocalyptic final battle, and it's a conflict she has no desire to miss. Her hot-blooded nature simply does not allow it.
When it comes to her relationships with individual members of her own species, Corinne can be a curious creature to pin down. Many of her relationships are kept on the surface, where her boisterousness can come across as overbearing or even aggressive. She is a party girl through and through, always one for something high octane and exciting, whether that be a particularly attractive human, car, or robot. She is a notorious flirt who openly espouses her passions regardless of sex; many of her advances can come across as mocking or insincere, however, and it is impossible to determine who she actually seeks to make a conquest of or who she is simply passing her time on. Though unlikely, she has struck up a genuinely affectionate friendship with Dr. Ryoma Kougami, constantly seeking to get him drunk, attempting to style his bishie hair, or teaching him the joys of the French cuisine of her maternal ancestry. She also tries to temper herself around the younger pilots; although these efforts are usually unsuccessful, she acts as their surrogate older sister and guardian day-to-day in the fortress, and has been known to smuggle them out into the city for clandestine shore leave or even step in on testing she finds particularly invasive.
Skills: A gifted drinker, artist, and combat athlete with a propensity for striking. A crack shot with most weaponry at a gun range in her free time, though given her country and the sheer size of her prey, this skill goes underutilized most of the time. Corinne enjoys reading fashion magazines in her spare time, as well as swimming, baseball, gambling and card games, or sex. Believe it or not, she also gets a kick out of doing the paperwork for MAX FIRE's paramilitary. She can keep it organized fairly efficiently.
Short Bio: The implacable commander began life as an ordinary, if extraordinarily ebullient, child on the Japanese mainland. Her mother had French ancestry somewhere back along the line, but otherwise Corinne was a Japanese child like any other, growing up in a miraculous era of prosperity for a country only two generations removed from the Empire's brutal defanging. Born into a life of relative privilege thanks to well-to-do parents, the young Corinne balanced decent studies (although underachieving for a student with such a dynamic and creative mind) with a zest for new adventure and thrills that eventually led to her purchasing a Celica XX (with onboard nav! The future was here!) and racing it through the streets of Yokohama for kicks through most of her teens and early twenties as a way to make some side income. Corinne was a talented racer who placed in 70% of the races she entered and had a sizable collection of pink slips ripe for the claiming at any time. Her real claim to fame was not her bulletproof record, but in the ornate lavender butterfly mask she would wear to conceal her youth and identity - that, and her love of taunting fellow racers (or the police who inevitably responded to reports of tuners racing in the streets or outskirts) into chases that she somehow always managed to slip out of. When trouble erupted, Corinne Shourichi had a way of toeing the line all the way until she'd had her fill of fun, and then unceremoniously extricating herself from a hairy situation.
She may have never been caught, if not for her parents. A fight with an ex-boyfriend had led to her coming home hours past curfew, still in her tuner regalia and mask - and trying to sneak her former flame's new girlfriend through her bedroom window.
Corinne spent the next three months languishing in jail before her release, and when she got out she was floated a deal - join the military in exchange for her charges (which were relatively minor given what races she could actually be connected with) being dropped from her record upon her discharge. The years of service began as a drag, something to teach Corinne discipline until she could while away the time living in the moment again. The beginning of the kaiju attacks changed that. One of the first strikes in Japan was on her hometown of Yokohama, and Corinne was one of the few survivors from the first wave of defenders to meet the monster at Yokohama's port. Notably, she was the woman responsible for the "Yokohama Miracle Mile," her valiant attempt to slay the kaiju on foot after her lightweight Type 70 was flipped. She did, however, lead it on a suicide run - hotwiring a vehicle and using flares to guide the creature into the aerial assault that would eventually drive it back into the ocean and slay it.
She would have been happy to fight the battles to come for the JSSDF, but her performance had clearly drawn attention from figures across the world. When Higini Somporn's global collective branched out from a team of crack scientists to add a paramilitary component, construction on the first module of what would become Promethion was already complete. Shourichi proved its most competent pilot in testing - so gifted, in fact, that she almost managed to make something mobile out of Iapheton, the failed chassis that served as precursor to MAX FIRE's mecha ambitions. The organization was impressed with Shourichi's own ambitions and determination, and she was assigned as Lifrasir's permanent pilot and Vaucanson's top military official.

Job: MAX FIRE 1st Independent Special Squadron Pilot
Personality: Michel is effeminate and friendly, seeking harmony between the people around him. He has a tendency to bend over backwards to live up to expectations and will do everything he can and more to make others happy. Because of this, he is often stretched thin and has a tendency to burnout from stress, after which he falls into a self-deprecating slump. He is constantly seeking the approval of others and is easily influenced by his environment.
Skills: Through experimentation, Michel was given the ability to interface with Etherion-powered machines through a specially designed helmet, giving him the ability to telepathically control the ten blades of the two Beamstar Blade rotors that make up his mech's helicopter blades. Michel has good spatial awareness which is a great asset when it comes to piloting a helicopter, and telepathically commanding the Beamstar Blades. Having lived a sheltered life as a lab rat, he has very few life skills to speak of.
Short Bio: A child when his home in France was devastated, Michel was exposed to the Etherion of the monsters that attacked. The organization Max Fire took him in, first to study the potential harmful effects of Etherion on the human body, but later to use his exposure to the substance as a weapon. It became apparent early on that the child had some strange affinity with the new element, and after much research, a special weapons system was designed to take advantage of the child's unique ability. Despite being raised as a child soldier, forced to do constant pilot training and research simulations, the scientists at Max Fire treated Michel with love and care, and taught him to be the compassionate person he is.
Cannot use Beamstar Blades while in Helicopter mode
As for Promethion's visuals, my contribution would focus on the shoulders, and how the beam stars are stored.
Being mounted on the shoulders, they could either be splayed out, or folded, very vaguely resembling the bottom image's right and left shoulders, respectively:
In folded configuration, it could drape downward, like a shoulder cape:
or like this:
Or point forward as a dual shoulder beam cannon:
This form could maybe form a combined quadruple shoulder cannon beam attack, assuming Shrike will be returning.
Personality: Victor is extremely egotistical and narcissistic, constantly exaggerating his feats and accomplishments and bragging, especially when women are involved. He does his best to keep situations light and jovial, even in dire situations that could mean life or death. Victor constantly seeks the approval of others, and that was the main reason he decided to become the pilot of the GAHS-CM-4. His cocky attitude isn't entirely for show - he is very skilled at piloting his mech, even when considering the fact that he has had very little time to get used to the controls. Victor has a carefree attitude, and adventurous spirit, and despite what he says, a caring heart. He would rather take a hit than let someone else take one, and will do his best to protect the people that acknowledge him.
Victors cockiness is actually an act, which he uses in order to hide his insecurities. He is terrified of being a pilot and only became one so people would respect him. Victor has an intense fear of failure and will go to nearly any length besides harming others in order to win. Additionally, he suffers Monophobia, which he developed through years of isolation and abuse. When alone, he will be extremely meek, and lack the usual hotheadedness of his 'Social Personality'. Finally, he vehemently disapproves of drugs and will refuse to even drink or smoke.
Skills: Victor is extremely proficient at handling traumatic situations, almost to a disturbing degree. Along with this, he is above average physically and can withstand physical stresses better than most.
Short Bio: Born to a poor Cuban family in Chicago, Victor lived a very depressing childhood. His mother, a woman who was struggling with a meth addiction, died when he was only 6 years old, and ever since then, his father rapidly grew more and more abusive. Being hit for no reason whatsoever and going days without food was a common occurrence during his developing years, but Victor never spoke out against the abuse. He, like many other victims of abuse, was simply too afraid of voicing his suffering and decided to suffer the abuse instead. Despite the malnutrition, Victor rapidly grew to be quite physically fit, and at the age of 15, the physical abuse stopped. Instead, emotional and mental abuse took its place. Victor was forced to stay in his small room for days at a time, and without any form of entertainment during this period of isolation, Victor quickly developed his fear of being alone. To help him through the times of loneliness, Victor decided to exercise and train his body, only increasing the fitness of his body. By the time he was 17, he was extremely popular at his high school and local gym, had decent grades, and even had a somewhat stable job. All of that only added to the shock the people in his community felt when, on a warm June night, he and his father were caught in a gruesome car accident, leaving Victor orphaned.
The accident itself was thought to be caused by Victor's father, the driver, being heavily intoxicated, and Victor luckily escaped with light wounds. In actuality, Victor's father, driving his son home after he had gotten in a brawl at the school, told him that the second they got home, Victor would be spending the next three days in his room. Victor, wallowing in a chemical cocktail or testosterone and adrenaline, began to assault his father, slapping and punching from the rear seat. This distracted his father enough to cause the pair to slam directly into a lamppost. The father, having chosen to not wear a seat belt, died after being thrown through the windshield, and hitting the metal pole face first. Victor survived with only light bruising and a sprained knee. Until he graduated school a year later, Victor had to see a psychologist on a bi-weekly basis and suffered extreme emotional stress having taken a human life. Eventually, he graduated and, no longer being cared for by the state, found a cheap apartment and continued to work at his dead-end job. Victor's personality appeared to have returned, but Victor still struggled with the scars left by his father's abuse and death. The next 4 years were a blur, composed of hooking up with random women and dreading the nights he was forced to work the graveyard shift alone. Finally, on a night of introspection in front of a cash register, Victor realized that his life would remain like this if he didn't do something about it - that was when he decided to leave the state, in search of greener pastures.
The next 3 months were spent driving around the US, surviving off of odd jobs that he found along the way. Finally, Victor stumbled upon it - a government agency known as MAX FIRE. It was here that, upon seeing the various benefits, Victor applied for a position as a janitor. While the ridicule of being a janitor at 22 was somewhat disheartening, the truly horrible occurred only a month into his employment there - the first attack. A creature of gargantuan size attacked a city, killing many innocent people. It was eventually taken out after being chased several blocks, but the damage was irreversible. Fear consumed Victor, but even more so, anger. The strong were trying to bully the weak, and that was an act that was truly despicable. This was when Victor decided to make a difference and help people for once. Sneaking into the pilot candidate pool, Victor was successfully able to prove his skill at piloting, and when it was discovered he snuck in, he was offered two choices: Become the pilot of the fourth component, or face life imprisonment for sneaking into government facilities. Victor chose the former, becoming the pilot of 'Sharur'.

Personality: Autumn is not the kind of person one would expect to jump straight into a conversation. At least, not unless she was asked for her opinion, a favor, etc. She's very reactive in terms of personality, and rather introverted as well. It's not very often that you'd hear her speak up without being first asked or told to, but when she does begin speaking, her IQ really shines through. Autumn is very smart, despite her introverted nature, and is more than willing to use her noggin to get out of any tight scrapes, should they come along.
Skills: In terms of tactical prowess, Autumn is, despite her age, very gifted. By observing enemy actions and planning accordingly, she can figure out and thwart even the most cunning schemes before any significant damage is dealt.
Short Bio: Autumn's hometown of Oakland, California was destroyed when the prodigy was still very young. Having lost both of her parents and her older siblings, she was taken in by members of Max Fire and received private lessons in both traditional school subjects and warfare. To be more specific, Autumn was taught military tactics from a variety of time periods, and given regular VR training sessions to prepare her for her inevitable confrontation with the horrors of war. The lessons and training sessions (which Autumn still participates in) helped shape the young girl into the genius she is today.
Model: GAHS-CM-2 Torso Module "Aleksandr"
Specialty: Frontline War Machine / Heavily Armored Tank
Features: Heavy duty reinforced armor plating; Promethion's main Etherion engine
Name: Rubiana "Ruby" Starfeather Age: 19 Job: MAX FIRE Mechanic Personality: Enthusiastic about her work and outgoing, Ruby's love of people is only second to her love of machinery. Her energy levels are perpetually high when she has someone or something to interact with, keeping an obvious interest in those she's talking to or the machines she's working on. When no one is around and she has nothing to do, however, it's an entirely different story--she sleeps often and constantly, seemingly recharging for her next flurry of activity. Skills: A prodigy engineer and mechanic, broken machines speak to Ruby Starfeather like no one else. She seems to have an almost preternatural sense for whatever's going wrong with whatever device she's repairing. This progresses to an almost irritating degree at times, pausing mid-conversation because she heard one click from a servo that shouldn't have been there. Her talents are mostly limited to fixing things that are broken, her creativity focused on inventing unorthodox repairs that somehow work rather than creating new technology. She's as equally good at the software side of things. Even given an almost unrealistically short span of time and woefully inadequate materials, she can usually get a mecha running again--but it might not be up to its old specifications or look anything like what its supposed to.
Ruby's not a gifted fighter or mech pilot, though many errant MAX FIRE staffers have been on the receiving end of a blow from a spanner if they don't take proper care of their machinery. Otherwise she's somewhat talented at chess, and not a slouch at cooking, though she can be a little absentminded. Short Bio: A resident of nowhere Nebraska, Rubiana's childhood passed mostly uneventfully. She got her start fixing farm equipment, regularly skipping her more boring classes to meddle with nearby machinery, until her talents caught the attention of a larger farming corporation that hired her to repair more complex devices. MAX FIRE headhunted her from said corporation, and she was more than eager to deal with the most complex devices on the market.
Gender: Male Age: 25 Job: MAX FIRE Head Robot Development Scientist
Personality: Proud and inquisitive, Ryoma can be said to be a over-enthusiastic (or obsessed depending on the person) with the topic of machines, more specifically the Promethion, being more than happy with any outcome that lets him see how far his Magnum opus can be pushed or improved and being prone to holding grudges to those who badmouth his creations. Outwardly, however, he tends to try his best to not to show that part of him, bottling his emotions to appear more easy-going than he really is to get on people’s good graces.
Skills: He’s a mathematical and engineering genius, capable of creating engineering marvels such as the Promethion. Ryoma wasn’t just chosen because of his engineering talents, but also for his ability to keep his cool in difficult times and be capable of handling and overseeing large amounts of people and projects without breaking a sweat.
Short Bio: Making it into national headlines at a young age due to skipping ahead several grades and attending a prestigious American college at the age of 11, he would meet Higini Somporn for the first time while he was giving a lecture. Despite their difference in age, both of them quickly became friends and Higini would become a sort of parental figure to Ryoma. After finishing college Ryoma would become one of the youngest persons working for NASA, at the age of 19 years old, working with other brilliant minds to finding more efficient ways to reach other planets. Unfortunately, they had to stop looking at the endless sky when the monsters started appearing down here.
Still, the monsters were too strong. They easily brushed off most the of attacks, causing lots of casualties and collateral damage before they finally died, which would occur in just time for another one of them to come out and start the cycle anew. Ryoma worked with other scientists united by Higini to seek a solution and hope seemed lost until something in the aftermath of all the rampages was discovered, Etherion. The Etherion was a strange substance, with many unknown characteristics and properties, but even with little info they had about it, they knew it was their only tool against them. In the middle of the chaos, he would find himself overseeing the project.
Now that the Promethion was ready, the only thing left would be to find someone brave and mad enough to pilot its different components. Thought that task was delegated to commander Shourichi, while Ryoma kept his position as the Promethion developer and oversees the development of new functions for the Promethion along with other less scientific tasks like gaining public trust since he is the face of the MAX FIRE organization along with the pilots.
Name: Jack Ryder Age: 19 Job: MAX FIRE Vajra Pilot, Combat Engineer Personality: Jack is a man caught between two extremes: "Grim Mecha Pilot" and "Utter Geek." On the one hand, he viciously hates the monsters that the Earth created, wanting nothing more than to end this damn war, avenge his dead family and friends, and get some normality back in his life. On the other, he is a massive fan of superhero media and nerd culture in general, and thus is still rather excited to hop into the Vajra and help Prometheon kick ass. In fact, he's kinda sore about being passed up to serve on the Prometheon, if only because he'd much rather be in the giant robot than pilot its spherical sidekick. Nonetheless, intellectually he knows he should count his blessings, considering that the Vajra is literally the next-best thing to being on Prometheon itself. Despite his analytical skills in combat, he sometimes lets his emotions get the best of him, but he always does the right thing when it counts. He has a strong will, absolutely determined to survive to the end of this war and hopefully stop the monsters at their source. He has a habit of getting restless, fidgeting and pacing and generally tending to move unnecessarily. He's also a massive glutton, though thankfully he has a fast enough metabolism that he stays thin. He puts perhaps too much stock in his coworkers and teammates: With the absence of his own family, and with many of his friends dead, and in a foreign city to boot, he's actively trying to find a new family among those around him.
Skills: Jack is a skilled pilot, and was in training to become an engineer before the monster attack that claimed his family. He has completed and honed his engineering skills as part of his specialist MAX FIRE training. In addition, he has a keen eye for detail: One of the reasons he was selected to pilot the Vajra was an ability to think analytically in battle. With hand-to-hand, firearms, or a giant ball of death, he tries to find the flaw in an opponent's fighting style, something that has allowed him to live as long as he has even though he's not the star of the show. He's not necessarily a crack shot, but he's definitely a good shot, and is a capable fighter in close combat, utilizing his environment to help win a fight.
Short Bio: Jack was born in New York City to an upper-middle class family. He had a good life, for the most part: Top marks in school, some close friends, a loving family. And he had always been captivated by comic books, video games (which were just getting their start in his childhood), Dungeons and Dragons, and other such "geeky" activities. He was enrolled in college to pursue an engineering degree when the Earth started spitting out monsters. New York was a prime target: A key economic and cultural center for a military superpower, and completely unprepared to fight back. He managed to evacuate with the other civilians during the attack, but the city was a left a warzone, and his mother, father, and younger sister didn't make it out alive. The city was utterly levelled, the monster having shrugged off the feeble attacks by the U.S. military and only leaving once it was satisfied. And the sheer quantity of Etherion residue the monster had left behind would require a massive cleanup operation, as Etherion's effects on the human body was at this point ill-understood.
With his life, city, and family in ruins, Jack saw only one choice ahead of him: Travel to Japan, join MAX FIRE, and make those monsters pay for the attack with their lives. He threw himself into his studies at MAX FIRE's engineering school, working with a passion few of his classmates could match. It was this passion, as well as his impeccable eye for detail, that led his superiors to recommend him for pilot training, specifically for the newly-produced Vajra support unit. The Vajra needed a unique person to pilot it, equal parts engineer and combat pilot. Furthermore, it was such an unusual vehicle that even existing plane or helicopter pilots would need much more training than usual to pilot it in the first place. It was decided that, given the Vajra's essential role in performing field repair on the Prometheon and its component parts, it would be cheaper and easier to train an engineer to pilot rather than a pilot to engineer. Upon completing his training, Jack Ryder joined the valiant defenders fighting for humanity's survival.
I need a better Faceclaim.
Model: GAHS-AU Support Unit "Vajra" Specialty: Support Unit for Promethion Features: The Vajra was conceived as a helping hand for the Prometheon in battle. It is perhaps one of the more unusual Etherion-equipped designs in MAX FIRE's arsenal, normally resembling a futuristic floating sphere, about tall enough to reach Prometheon's knee from ground level. It is protected by a powerful shield while fully folded up. In order to fight, it unfolds various strategically-placed areas on its hull, creating a gap in the Etherion shield in order to fire. It is also capable of repairing Prometheon in the field using a combination of several extendable appendages, a few wired semi-autonomous repairbots, and a variety of implements. Its repair mechanism is mostly automated, though it can be overridden to do manual repairs. In addition, it also contains a "E-Boost" system, which overcharges its Etherion engine to immensely boost its speed. When coupled with its shield, the Vajra becomes much harder to damage, capable of getting out of trouble much easier...or, if Jack so desired, turning himself into a massive Etherion-powered bullet. If need be, it can walk on land with a set of four extendable, unfolding legs on its bottom section.
Armaments: --> Several Guided Missile Batteries contained in the sphere's "top." --> 40x Etherion "Needlers": So named for the thin beam they project, these small Etherion emitters on all sides of the Vajra are intended mainly to distract or help soften up a large monster. They won't do much damage on their own, but that's all they need to do when you've got the gigantic Prometheon backing you up. --> 2x Cryo Missiles: The Vajra is also equipped, on its left and right side, with two "Cryo Missile" launchers. These are guided missiles that, when they detonate, unleash a compound with an extremely high freezing point. They generally serve to immobilize or slow down an enemy monster, allowing the Prometheon to finish it off. --> 4x Taser Wires: The Vajra has, equipped in its front, four wire-launchers. When the end makes contact with an enemy monster, it digs into the creature's body. Then, the Vajra dumps a ludicrous quantity of electricity into the wires, electrocuting the monster. With the Vajra being so small, it's again unlikely to kill, but it will stun. --> 1x Etherion Beam Cannon: This is the Vajra's most powerful weapon. It takes up virtually the entire diameter of the vehicle and thus the Vajra's entire front half must unfold to activate it. Due to its smaller size, however, it's slightly less powerful than one of the Shirke's own Etherion cannon. --> 6x Beam Autocannon: Contained in the Vajra's sides, front, back, top, and bottom, these are point-defense guns meant to defend the Vajra from softer targets or wear down a monster's defenses. --> 2x Grappling Claws: These are primarily meant to grapple onto the Prometheon to to repairs, but in an emergency these can be used in melee. They're unlikely to do much, however. --> 2x Vajra Buzzsaw: The Vajra's primary method of defending itself at close-range. The "equator" of the Vajra can open up to reveal a pair of two razor-sharp Etherion energy blades that then spin at 3,500 RPM.
Weaknesses: --> Boosting creates a ton of heat. The Vajra needs some time to cool down after about thirty continuous seconds of using it. --> In order to fire any of its weapons, it must drop its shield in that area. This opens it up to attack. --> While the Vajra itself is well-armored, its small size relative to an enemy monster means that Jack must be careful not to get smacked away in combat, and the Vajra's armor can only do so much against something ten times its weight. --> It is dependent on outer cameras to see. If these are destroyed, Jack must open up a canopy in the sphere's upper-frontal section to not crash.
