Not necessarily combat training, but I assume the evil scientists see something marketable in each of us - either now or in future subjects of the same projects.

I agree, some of us have no business in fights. Unless Daedalus really wants to punish Iris by putting her against someone who will take her apart in eight seconds flat ^^

I dunno about actual combat, but a starving Olivia pumped full of Adrenaline to the point of a near heart attack, a decent amount of training in Brazilian Ju Jitsu and essentially four razor blades for teeth would be terrifying.

If they are allowed to be in the same space, and she's not too scared of him, The Dog would definitely volunteer his own blood to Olivia. Though it probably would be like drinking from a bunch of people/animals at once, if she has flavor detection for the blood. Blood smoothie.

It would severely depend on his down diet, and if he is eating properly if I'm being perfectly honest, seeing as she can only gain nutrients from said blood. But overall, taste-wise it's just blood but if she goes for too long without feeding she can kinda 'get lost' I mean, imagine not eating for a week+ and suddenly being offered a buffet, easy to lose control.

Okay, had a little think about relations with my character - hopefully I didn't miss anybody!

@TheGrundlesnartCorrect me if I'm wrong, but I get the feeling The Dog would probably be pretty cautious around Kieran, especially given that Kieran, whilst well intentioned, has a few psychological issues that might seem pretty off putting and put him in the camp of having 'more erratic test subject behaviors'. Kieran would probably try to get close to him at first, maybe offering to help with communication, but he knows when to back off.

@Ever Actually kind of curious on how our characters' powers might interact - do you have any thoughts?

@Hellion If Max could get over the invasiveness of Kieran's ability (and his problem with ocassionally forgetting he has it) he'd definitely try to make an effort to get to know her - although I think the ability would be a pretty significant issue for her given how guarded she is and that he'd see right through all the defenses she has up, and he would be unlikely to push too much if she makes it clear she doesn't want anything to do with him.

@GingerBoi123 I think our characters would probably get on reasonably well? Jason might appreciate that Kieran isn't automatically scared of him and is willing to get try and be a friend to him, and I think Kieran would probably appreciate the fact that he seems relatively stable - a bit of an island of calm with all the emotional turmoil going on around him (unless I've got him completely wrong, in which case I apologise) Although, if like you said earlier, Deadalus got them to fight for kicks (probably particularly nasty individuals) this could add some interesting complications to their relationship

@thedman Kieran and Jared might get on reasonably well. Kieran would realise that Jared uses humour as a defense mechanism, but I don't think he'd try to push unless it seemed like he really wanted to talk about something but didn't feel like he could. I think Kieran would appreciate his optimism, as whilst he tries to remain cheerful and optimistic on the outside, he gets quite down a lot of the time, and doesn't really have a lot of hope for the future. I think they would probably clash quite a bit on the Deadalus corp issue, because Kieran's got some pretty messed up views about individuals who work for Deadalus (it's kind of difficult to hate someone when you know what they're feeling and really want to try and understand them like Kieran does - so he internally rationalises what they do, saying 'it's just their job', or 'they had to do this to somebody, I'm glad it was me and not someone else.')

@Naive1 Kieran would probably try and be friendly towards Olivia, particularly as she seems shy and withdrawn (he's one of those extraverts who likes to try and 'draw people out of their shell' lol), although I'm not sure how she'd feel about him, I get the feeling she might feel a little intimidated if he comes on too strong.

@NorthernKrakenYeah, that's pretty much it. Man of few words sort of thing, but yeah, I agree with what you're saying :)

EDIT: Would Kieran have difficulties reading Jason due to his cybernetic nature?

He eats mostly meat, but he eats his prey whole, so... it's probably no different from just sucking the blood out of the original critters. If you literally wholesale absorb an entire cow at once... you'll probably have a lot of nutrients in there. He can absorb plant material just fine as well.

So long as he's not acting violent or manipulative, Dog will just ignore him at worst. Dog is too generally docile to dislike people who aren't violent or harmful.

So how would he feel towards Jason? Seeing as his prime function is to be a killer when commanded?

@GingerBoi123 Oooh, interesting suggestion Kieran's abilities, at their core, essentially work because his implants detect chemical signals, physiological changes, and he is really good at understanding body language/subtle hints (not in a conscious, Sherlock kind of way, it's all subconscious). As long as your guy is still producing some kind of chemicals (which I'm assuming he does, seeing as that's what brains run on), then he'd probably get some kind of read. It might be muffled due to the titanium though, although Kieran wouldn't necessarily realise why it was muffled - and this would probably make him prettt curious about Jason, because as much as he appreciates being able to understand people better, he kind of misses figuring people out the old fashioned way - he's naturally a pretty curious person.

I was kinda curious about it as well! I feel like he is going to feel a lot of emotions coming off of her. She is a bottle of rage, hatred, and misery. It will be kinda cool though cause he would be able to communicate with her more than others due to the foreign telepathy powers he has.

The Dog has the same function, he's just more chaotic and destructive.

So long as he's not violent within their little community, he won't take issue. If he's aggressive or starting fights? Dog will take plenty of issue.

@Ever He really feels for people who struggle to communicate, because he's always been pretty open - more to do with how he was raised than anything else. I figure he'd have quite an amplified read on her than most people because her ability involves active projection - although it might be interesting if she can exert her ability on him without speech because of it (although that would probably depend on how her ability works). Although she probably wouldn't take advantage of that too much? (I don't know) It'd probably be quite difficult for him to be around her though due to the intensity of her emotions - he feels things pretty deeply and sometimes gets really overloaded - but he'd think it was worth it if they became genuine friends and he thought he was helping her in terms of communication.

Well her ability to project her power through her eyes is still under observation and even she doesn’t know what she can truly do with it, so I’m not sure she could exert her ability on him without speech. Though, that may develope more as the rp goes on (if I’m accepted.) I don’t think she would take advantage of that either though. She doesn’t exactly have a want to use her power on other patients since she knows what they all go through there.

I think interaction between them would be fun. It would be bumpy at first cause, as you said, it will be hard for him to get passed her intense emotions.

@Ever Fair enough - I could definitely see them getting to be quite good friends, and definitely fun to write them together :D, although I could see opinions about Daedalus a possible point of friction, she probably would understand why he felt that way because it seems like she's probably seen lots of different reactions from people, and might understand that it's just a coping mechanism
