Name:Beat (The Golden Child) Tsukuru

Appearance: Beat stands 5'1 and weighs 109 lbs. Her hair is mid length, purple and nearly always in a state of chaos. Her eyes are silver colored, when she's not wearing color contacts to hide them. She prefers lab-coats and black pants.

Personality: Outwardly Beet is endlessly optimistic to the point where she never takes things as an actual threat against her. In her mind everything that stands before her is just another stone to step over, puzzle to solve, or enemy to crush or friend who has yet to realize what exactly is going on. There's never a dull moment, except for the boring ones, and when those come up they won't stay dull for very long. She's incapable of sitting still for more than a moment. She's head over heels in love with animals, especially her own, and has an affinity, obsession, for science, machinery in general.

She maintains a firm stance on science as well as the ways it should be used, regardless of what's going on, but many times her ability to think logically over powers her empathic perceptions, leaving her often confused as to the state of emotional being of others.

Inwardly, Beets is a different person. She is constantly worrying about the state of the world and how she may effect it some day. Due to her hard life and the time she spent in the research facilities she knows just how cruel the world can be and seeks to ease that darkness however she can, which she is certain she can accomplish either through her mechanical brilliance or simply making sure the world government never manages to get its hands on her again.

Backstory: Beet grew up an orphan in a tiny village. At first life was hard, with only her adoptive mother and two wolfe-dogs for company but eventually she developed a skill with machinery, building her first robot by the age of four. The skill quickly spread and before long the village began to prosper with robotic workers. Their wealth grew so renown the world government took an interest in her. Before the age of seven she, and her canine companions were on a marine ship heading for a secret research base beneath the city of celestial dragons.

The next nine years went by in a flash. Beet found herself enthralled in the technological wonders which were afforded to her at the research facility and was quick to pick up on even the most complicated of scientific theory. Before long, she was no longer in classes learning, but standing shoulder to shoulder with the greatest minds, helping to conceive the next revolutionary gizmo or gadget.

Life couldn't have been better, and she would've died a happy woman if her natural curiosity didn't get the best of her. Upon the development of what she, and many of those around her, believed would be the crowning achievement of technological potential, the chaos garden, things changed. Instead of sitting back and allowing for testing to on without her, as was the typical practice Beet slipped on board the marine ship which was headed to test what she would later learn was a weapon's system.

The horrors which transpired on the island, horrors which had been made a reality because of her two hands was more than she could bare. After the initial testing, before the beta phase, she she tampered with the system, an act which saw to it that everyone involved in the creation was killed, before fleeing with her two wolf dogs.

Sadly, the escape wasn't as flawless as she believed, and her companions nearly perished, protecting her. Luckily, she managed to save the animals by combining them with various mechanical parts which she managed to procure at water 7. From there she stowed upon another shape and made her way out to sea.

Abilities:
Genius level intellect-Even by the brightest minds at the World Government's disposal Beet is considered a superior intellect. Her intellect, when coupled with her imagination and dogged determination means that there's not much in the way of physically possible that she can't do, and a few things that should be physically possible which she's managed.

There's no need to, its just me being a bit fuzzy :X . And I prefer to leave that South Blue part open-ended ^^;

Well if we ever reach the south blue I'd probably be able to fit in an arc related to Adam's father's old crew. I've already thought up some more stuff regarding his rather convoluted 'family' structure/history. I put family in quotes as I'm talking about more than just his blood relatives.

I think that depends if sassy gets her character done or not. Although not like redundancy matters since this isn't like a video game mmo where like party balance is needed.

Appearance: stylish black leather with decorative metal pieces adorning his multi-piece suit, Riko is rarely seen without his protective face mask as it covers a series of horribly facial scars and his many burns from a fire in his early teens.
Unlike his family, men and women of large portions and inhuman strength, Riko took after his mothers side of the family sporting a thin frame mad for speed amd acrobatic achievement over sheer brute strength.

Personality: Riko is boisterous and violently proud of himself and his family history, taking insults to both with blinding fury. Beyond that simple pride lays a fathomless depth of calm and orderly discipline one would expect of a swordsman with such a unique style. If not for his temper one would assume the man was a saint with the patience of a king.

Raised with a healthy respect for hard work beyond the mastery of his families secretive swordsmanship, Riko is a dedicated shipwright with 15 years of experience working on ships from small fishing boats to iron-plated warships. Not a designer of said ships but skilled with repairs.
Beyond repairing ships he enjoys carving wooden statues, often in great detail.

Backstory: blessed are those who wield the sword like a seamstress wields their needle and thread, their tools indistinguishable from their own bodies. Riko was one of many from his hometown believed to be a genius with the sword but the truth is far less fantastic. Granted he had skill but his mother was a savant with her peerless swordsmanship and passed on her skills every chance she could to her only child.
Along with the secrets to her technique when he was finally of age.

Like his mother and grandmother before, Riko possesses the sapphire star. With its control over water, twisting it like a living creature, his secret techniques gained new prowess.
It is with that same control over pockets of water that his talents as a shipwright come in handy, fixing leaks and damage with ease as the water part from him, keeping his hand and mind steady on the tasks at hand.

Abilities: Sapphire☆Star - Precious gemstone imbued with the powers of the Nami-Nami fruit. Grants the owner the ability to control large pockets of water at will, along with a few other benefits. While not nearly as strong as eating the Mizu-Mizu fruit himself, it is still beneficial to his water manipulation sword style.

Ikite iru nami no ha (Blade of living waves) - Water coating the wielders blade strikes out with such force it becomes a powerful projectile.
Slashes create a long thing wave of water, the Sapphire☆Star aiding its solid form, and cuts anything in its path.
Heavy thrusts create a lance of water that pierces those in its path.
Riko often employs a side to side swipe that leaves a lingering sheet of thick water, blunting projectiles. Though it is largely ineffective at close range or against heavier projectiles.

Wakare no nami (Parting Waves) - The ultimate technique of his style. With a heavy slash, drawing on the strength of the Sapphire☆Star to its limits, Riko gouges the very sea below an enemy ship to crash against the seafloor as the water below is parted.
Note: this technique can only be used once every few minutes. While it recovers, the Sapphire☆Star cannot be used in any other way.

@Zelosse The CS is good, just that the name of the devil fruit sounds a bit off. Water Water fruit is a bit weird, but tide tide fruit or wave wave fruit sounds a bit better. Ohh, there's also Gura Gura fruit in the anime ~
