AU retelling of OoT When Ganondorf entered the Spirit Realm and took over Hyrule, all had seemed lost. He was quickly turning the land into one of darkness and evil creeper from corners of the land that before were nothing but peaceful. The sages were at a loss, heads close together as they convened on the best course of action.
Over a short time, they came up with a plan. Each sage would choose a Guardian, one of the purest spirit that could represent the sage who chose them as these guardians banded together to take back Hyrule and set things right. Together, these Guardians could venture to the temples and undo Ganondorf's evil work, and save Zelda in the process.
So each sage chose a guardian, and bestowed upon them a mark to identify them. These guardians would be the only ones who could save their land.

So we'll each be playing a Guardian (I'll probably take either spirit or forest as I'm not sure which I want to make, a Kokiri or a Gerudo. Yes, each guardian will be from that region, and therefore be the race that populates that region. For those that need a refresher.
Forest Temple: -Sage:Saria -Race:Kokiri
Fire Temple: -Sage:Darunia -Race:Goron
Water Temple: -Sage:Ruto -Race:Zora
Shadow Temple: -Sage:Impa -Race:Sheikah
Spirit Temple: -Sage:Nabooru -Race:Gerudo
We will basically be going through the entire game storyline as two of the guardians, the others will be npcs and we can decide from that baseline if we want to add in anything else. Ideally, I'd like this to be either MxF or FxF. (If I play female, I already sort of have a character I might use)
That being said I am also totally open to playing a male for this, and I might actually do that anyways because playing a male Zora sounds hella fun.
Hmm so I gather that this alternate universe OoT setting that it is basically like if they actually had a chance to stop Gannondorf instead of having to wait seven years for Link to grow up. So then would that make it so Link never existed? I was just thinking it might be funny if Link does the seven years and then finds he isn't needed anymore lol.
We could always have Link show up later @IceHeart, probably as an npc? He could even join the seven guardians in their quest to save Hyrule as well.
We could either split the guardians between the two of us, or each choose a main guardian to play as our MC and all the others can be npcs.
I personally, would either like to take the Gerudo, Goron, or Zora. So whichever of these you dont want I can take. We can do mxmxfxf I'm wide open there.
@Noxxis Hmmm, well it might make the most sense story wise to only start with two of the guardians and the have the others join as the journey happens, in which case we can split them up between us as we go along. So how would this story start and at what 'time'.
I was thinking we could make it a bit AU since we're basically already doing that and start after Zelda flees the castle. The sages could have a council, deciding to call forth the last line of defense-the guardians.
But the guardians don't know they're chosen until after the sages tell them after the meeting, whether we do that by bringing them all together or having each sage tell their guardian seperately, we can decide.
Ok, bring this ice box back up from Davy Jones locker! Hmm I really need to think of some more ideas to add a bit of spice to the mix. Anyway, see ya out there!
I love the idea for Legend of the (fake) Hero. Which of us would play which part? Personally I think either side of it could be quite entertaining.
Well the main thing is the [fake] hero really should be kind of a naive and foolish character who actually believes the lie so somewhat depends on if that's a kind of character you would want to play or not. As for the 'bodyguard' they could go a variety of routes for sure, knight, assassin, mage, or whatever else would probably work. I can do either, though admittedly it would probably be easier to plot pull in the correct direction using the [fake] hero as my main.
Either works however. Pick the role and gender and I'll do the opposite.
I'll shoot you a PM in the morning or afternoon (I'm in central time). Can't think much tonight anymore, two days of no sleep is finally catching up lol.
Hey! If you find the character I’m super craving to play (Emet-Selch) interesting, I would absolutely love to RP with you. We can discuss plots or settings if so! I could definitely fit him info some kind of Fire Emblem plot, but I’m open to suggestions.
@Ninian Can't say I'm familiar with Emet-Selch so unless you can get me up to speed on who or what that is, not sure I could figure out a good setting for them.
Yeah I figured as much. When I get to my computer I can link his character sheet but you can find it on my recent posts.
Basically he’s an ancient, powerful magical being who lost everything and everyone millennia ago despite trying to save everything. With his world broken, he tried to fix it, but all the while creatures that were left behind evolved, and created civilizations of their own. He tried to adjust but found himself disappointed and miserable. Anyway in his setting he’s a villain because he wants to bring his old home back, and doesn’t think the current civilization is worth his giving a shit. Despite that he does keep giving them a chance to prove him wrong.
Anyway, it’s up to you! If you’re on the fence I don’t want to force anything.
