Species: "Human. No? It was worth a shot." Vampire, specifically a small variation of vampire dubbed as "The Northern aural vampire". Their diet is more restricted than most other vampires', but they are also more in tune with sound and get other perks. Northen aural vampires only spread by non-lethal bites to large arteries (such as carotid), and the change-rate is low because of their dietary restrictions. That's why Northern aural vampires aren't well known or make any clans: they are hermits first and foremost.
Factional Alignment: "I'm on my side. I play into no one's pocket but my own." New bloods. Depends on her motives. She's willing to kill both humans and vampires, as well as other supernaturals, if it benefits her.
Abilities: "Well for one I don't f*cking glitter in the sunlight, so jot that down. And no, I can't turn into a bat. Seriously, that's just ridiculous." - Echolocation: the ability to detect, localise and classify prey in darkness - Predator Vision ---> Blood purity: the ability to detect a human's blood type and whether they have any diseases without fail, just by smelling them or listening to their bloodflow. - Low-frequency communication: Can communicate with other vampires through low-frequency soundwaves bare human ears are unable to detect. - Sound stun: Probably the best ability for combat or self defense uses. Can produce a screech so deafening that it forces everyone in close proximity to be immobilised by the pain, stunning them for a few seconds. People in immediate proximity are likely to faint if facing the highly directional wave of sound. Thanks to it being directional, the noise doesn't damage the user's ears.

- Relies on sound: if a human is protecting their ears well, sound stun's impact is greatly hindered. If her own hearing is damaged, she can't move around as fluidly. - Can't consume just any type of blood, only specific types and qualities. Wrong qualities can and will make her terribly sick and could even be lethal. At the very least, wrong qualities of blood are considered unhealthy "junk food". - Less of a battler, doesn't do well in close combat. Takes a lot of time to heal especially from internal wounds, unlike most vampires that have enchanced healing. - Weakened eyesight in direct sunlight, kind of like someone with bad eyesight walking around without their glasses. While sun doesn't burn Nessa, it greatly hinders her abilities and makes her vulnerable to attacks.
Age: "Rude." Vanessa was roughly 26 years old as she was turned, and she has remained as such visibly. She is a fresh vampire by all means, since her true age isn't more than somewhere around 50.
Physical Description: "They say I'm tall." Nessa has a very attractive voice. it's an odd thing to single out, but that's how most people recognise her. Her voice is sensual and on the lower side, displaying a hint of breathy raspiness to it from time to time. Her voice expresses well her emotions as well as it conceals them. You can almost hear the sly smile or puzzled frown on her face as she talks. The pace in which she speaks isn't hurried, and it seems as if she puts thought into every word she utters without making it seem specifically drawn out. Vanessa has long, silky hair that reaches her mid-back. Often tied up for practicality's sake, the raven haired woman keeps it out of the way, save for a few classy tendrils that curl behind her ears. Vanessa's skin has an ivory undertone to it, making her appear paler than she would normally be, and a bit sickly too. Faint acne scarring adorns her face and the hollow of her cheeks, an attribute she makes work and seems to embrace fully. Expressive eyebrows contrast with her sharp, amber coloured eyes, which just might have honey gold flecks in them if you look closely enough. Nessa's slim build compliments her near 6 feet height. If you look at her, she could truly pass for a model just from the way she carries herself, confident and assured. The bridge of Nessa's nose is straight, yet ever so slightly sloping downwards. Her cheekbones aren't that refined, but her upper lip is plush. The only outwardly vampiric traits Nessa posesses are subtly sharp corner teeth you wouldn't really think were even anything out of the ordinary. When she smells prey, however, her eye colour changes from her usual amber to sickly black, making her whole appearance shift. Not too into high fashion, Vanessa wears mostly comfortable and practical clothes. Despite how she looks, clothing isn't too high on her priority list. Enough to look well put together, but not too time consuming. Nessa has a scar close to her hairline. She also sustains a scar to her neck, the place she was once bitten.
Alignment: "People would probably describe me as more of a neutral evil, although I don't really think of myself as traditionally evil. I'm just trying to get by, is all." Neutral Evil
Personality in a nutshell: "You tell me." Nessa is snarky. She isn't malicious, but she puts her own needs above others'. She has been hurt in the past, and now she has turned her back to humanity as a result. She isn't on anyone's side, not "her own kind's", nor the humans'. She likes being sassy and witty if she has the chance, it's her way of showing familiarity or just plain playfulness. Vanessa is very intelligent and excels at planning and strategies. She has a tendency to panic if things don't go according to plan or if she outright doesn't have any, because losing control is her biggest fear she needs to overcome. She isn't a stone-heart and is capable of empathy, but she hasn't had a reason to show it for a long time. Outwardly Nessa appears as calm and collected, almost elegant by the way she carries herself. Her dignified attitude makes her an intriguing presence to be around with. Nessa isn't truly evil, not by definition. Her morals are certainly corrupted and her motives questionable, but behind that lies a vulnerable soul full of humanity, resigned to the destiny forced on her. She resents both vampires and humans, feeling a part of neither. She only helps others for her own gain.
Any Important Backstory: "I was human, then I was not. No one asked me what I wanted, no one asked for my opinion. So now I extend that same hospitality to others in order to survive." Vanessa wasn't always a vampire. She was bitten by one, specifically by one of the same kind she would then become. Before being turned, Nessa lived a rather ordinary life save for one fact: her parents were super rich. Everything else was pretty down to earth with her life. Difficult daughter-parent relationship, dead-end job. Despite being the ambitious type, Nessa wasn't bothered by her normalness, in fact she revelled in it. She had so many plans for the future, things she looked forward to. All taken away by the vampire who had singeled her out due to her rare blood type. Bitten by a hungry, starving vampire, Vanessa managed to escape only barely. She was a changed woman after that. She isolated herself for years, leaving her home and disappearing into the face of earth from her parents. Nessa never really appreciated the wealthy life she'd led, but now she was truly free of her judgy parents and high expectations put on her. After half a decade, Vanessa settled down in Redhaven. There she became quickly an odd figure: somewhat known, yet still mysteriously off the grid.

Species: Näkki/Nøkken (The Japanese equivalent is called Kappa). Näkki is a Finnish and Scandinavian mythological water creature that is said to be the spirit of a drowned human, now trying to lure other people to drown as well. While the stories vary from violin playing charmers and beautiful voiced maidens to water plant covered, reptile-like creatures, the Nøkken is always trying to lure humans to their doom.

Abilities: - Hydrokinesis: the ability to move surrounding water at will. This ability is unusual, and has developed to Aava to help her sustain her form better with any surrounding liquid while living in a land-dweller world. - Camouflage: Appearance on land is different than the one in water.
Strengths: - Water: Near invincible when emerged in water, counterable by thunder magic etc. - Persuasion: Good at luring people and sweet talking them into her side.

Age: At the age of her drowning Aava was 17. Since then she has long forgotten how many years have passed. It's been at least a few centuries, however, making her closer to 400 years old.
Physical Description: Aava is short. She's only about 5'3" and has a bad posture to top it off. Her skin is pale and cold, only now beginning to get colour after exposure to sunlight. Aava has a srawny frame and bony, long fingers. Her face is, for the lack of a better word, rather flat. Her eyes are large and sunken, but she still clearly resembles a human woman. A pretty one, even, just malnourished and unkempt. Aava's hair is matted and greasy. It falls limp on her face, cutting off unevenly at her collarbone like she has cut it herself without any knowledge on how cutting hair actually works. The hair is unnaturally green in colour, almost like a water plant growing in a lake. Aava's wide eyes have a dull look and are light blue in colour, a true hint of her Scandinavian origin. The girl's lips are chapped and pale, but seem evenly proportioned with her flatter nose. Her teeth are sharp and inhuman. Faint freckles nest on her nose area.

Personality in a nutshell: Aava is curious. She is confused and quiet, has a strong sense of self-preservation, and likes more than anything discovering new things. Having names for new things like animals, electricity, or television. She isn't evil, although she doesn't follow the same morals as humans do. She doesn't see anything wrong with preying on humans for food and being their friend at the same time. You could say she lacks social skills altogether. Her memory is also bad, and she can't really recall things from her past, only odd snippets of familiarity. When angered, Aava behaves like a child with a tantrum. However, the longer she spents on land, the more her long forgotten human personality starts to surface...
Any Important Backstory: Aava hasn't seen civilisation for ages. The last time she was human cars and electric lights hadn't been invented yet. Hell, back then the land she habited still belonged to Sweden. Aava has long since forgotten her previous identity, who she used to be, where she came from. She doesn't even remember when she died, except that she drowned in a lake that would then become her home. Living in a lake for a century or two would make anyone forget. Craving human flesh, luring innocent children just a bit too far into the bed of reeds. "Look what I've got, look at this beautiful seashell I've got. Wanna come play with me?" Well, everything changed one day for Aava. A clever human had a plan to catch her, and so he did. Throwing a pebble into the lake, the man forced Aava to show herself on land. Then he'd capture her with equipment Aava hadn't seen in her entire existence. Stuffed into a small glass jar of liquid to be forgotten, to be carried away from her home lake, her home country, her home continent. When Aava came to existence again, she was somewhere entirely new. She was in Redhaven, her capturer long gone. She'd been just forgotten there in a jar, and if not for a clumsy kid playing around and knocking it off the shelf... Aava was now free, and she would have to face a whole new civilisation that had been built in the decades she'd been locked up. With no one to quide her, in a whole new country, no less.

Any Important Backstory: Beck was raised by her parents and grandparents in a neighborhood of Boston. As a teenager she grew fascinated with all things supernatural, stalking the urban neighborhoods with friends at night in search of trouble; when she got older she found it, happening upon a small coven of new vampires feasting on the local homeless. As a young woman she joined the army, but received a medical discharge just after her second deployment for reasons she’s not been open about. Since then she’s been gallivanting around New England in a converted hybrid VW bus, breaking up covens and keeping extensive notes on lycanthropic and vampiric culture. Her parents still live in the family home in Boston, somewhat worried about her nomadic lifestyle. They call her “Loree.”

He can remain shifted as a humanoid indefinitely as long as he’s unhurt, while taking less human forms is much less sustainable; generally, the further from human a form is the harder it is to stay shifted, though he’s strong enough to hold most shapes for at least a few minutes. Weaknesses: Evren is vulnerable to traditional herbs and silver, and has a fear and weakness to religious symbols, to such an extreme that any symbolic manifestation of love or belief could burn a hole through his body. If hurt, Evren must take his vulnerable true form until he can heal. Age: He’s not totally sure, but he’s at least 900 years old. Physical Description: Evren’s true form hasn’t aged well, though few have seen it. His skin is tawny brown but uneven and spotted with age, but seems pallid as if lifeless despite it’s tone; it’s papery and wrinkled, clinging to his bony form. The sclera of his eyes are jet black while his irises and pupils are shocking crimson. His teeth are uneven and fanged, frighteningly large and often stained from when he last fed. He spent most of his life living nomadically across Europe, and travelled to America with English Puritans to find some solitude in the wilderness. Both of his ears are pierced in several places but he doesn't always wear ear jewelry. He has ratty black hair and a distinctive white mallen streak that frames the right side of his face. Any Important Backstory: Haddie was born on a commune near Fairfield, a picturesque town in northern Vermont. When he was just seven, he and several other children on the commune were infected with meningitis. The infection ravaged the commune and some even died; Haddie became permanently deaf in his right ear and hard of hearing in his left. He now relies heavily on reading lips to understand others. After the epidemic, the cult was broken up and Haddie was sent into the foster care system for quite some time. As a teenager he was put back into the custody of his now devoutly religious mother, and they moved to a suburb of Boston to live with his aunt. Here he became aware of the supernatural, and yearned to control the seedy darkness of the afterlife. Haddie became fascinated with the occult, reading all he could find of any esoteric ritualism; satanism, alchemy, wicca, he wanted to know it all. Over time he refined his own brand of necromancy, creating his own practices and a belief system he believes gives him limitless power over the undead.

Holy Light & Fiery Sword
---Two of an angels best offensive abilities are as follows: The Fiery Sword of Eden and the Holy Light of Obliteration. In biblical times when Adam and Eve had been cast out of the sacred garden it was rumored that an angel appeared at the gates of Eden with a sword made of fire. It was then that God decided to equip his renowned military with weapons such as these. The Holy Light is another weapon of destruction. If an angel decided that an individual deserved this fate the immortals eyes would change and become all white. A glowing beam of pure white light would emit from them like a laser, completely disentigrating ones opponent.

---Just as it sounds. With just a touch angels can heal anything from simple little scratches to life threatening wounds. This can drain an angels energy if not used responsibly.

Complicated. That simple word perfectly sums up the angelic immortal. While she has a secret love for those blessed with a good nature, her demeanor can come off as mysterious if not abrasive. She is quite reserved and slow to trust others, this is due to the numerous betrayals endured over the past few Millenniums. As a result she is very quiet, having been taught that words hold power. Words are spells. They can make others feel joy, pain, and anger. When you say something... make it count. Or don't speak at all. However, when you get to know Azura on a more personal level, you will actually find she is kind, witty, perhaps even a bit fiery if the mood strikes. Above all however, she is known for her universal wisdom and patience.
~History~
News of the violence due to the uprising of vampires had spread. The chaos and destruction caused in their wake had not been overlooked. Many prayers have reached the Lord and he was distraught. Having been busy in the spiritual realm he decided to send some of his most trusted militia. Seven arch angels were sent to Earth in an attempt to smite the evil plague and save innocent souls. One of his angels, Azura, was the Angel of Wisdom. Otherwise known as Athena, Minerva, Shakti, Isis, etc. Having been conceived through Gods third eye she was known as the cleverest of the seven.
Over the past few years she and her cohorts have been cleansing the earth of its violence and negativity. Not to say that all vampires are evil... there are a select few who still have light in their hearts. Thankfully angels were able to naturally sense ones true nature. The essence of a soul whether good or bad is visible to an immortal. If an angel were to smite an innocent life then that angel will become mortal and suffer through life just like any other human. Even though the hate between vampires and humans has receded, that does not mean it has completely gone away. Azura continues meandering through the mortal realm, her soul purpose to help protect innocent lives.
~Physical Description~
When others attempt to describe Azura's physical appearance words like; luminous, enchanting, and powerful usually come to mind. Her hair is often found in a long fishtail braid hung over her right shoulder, the color of the sun and its length ending just mere inches above her hip. What is most difficult to pinpoint is the color of her eyes. On most days they are a playful shade of emerald green. However, once her mood changes to a different extreme, her eye color changes as well. For example, when she is overjoyed her eyes shine a deep ocean blue. When she is sick, her eyes fade into a dull golden color. That, along with her alabaster skin that often glowed in the moonlight. Though her essence is quite powerful and intimidating she is in fact short in stature, resulting at a height of 5 feet, 5 inches. Her body type is known as an hourglass figure. Curvaceous with a narrow waist and wide thighs.

Being neither short nor not quite tall, Elias stands at an average height 5'9" and weighs in at around 189 lbs. of solid muscle. He has a rather sturdy physique garnered from an active lifestyle and the amount of exercise that he does in his downtime. His hair is made up of short inky black locks that are styled in what can be described in a messy faux-hawk trailing middle of his head with the sides being a faded buzz. Below equally dark brows sit a pair of watchful cognac-brown eyes. His nose is more roman being slightly crooked most likely from being broken in the past. A few days worth of facial hair lines his jaws and chin. A various number of lightly colored scars are scattered here and there contrasting against his tanned skin the most commonly noticed is a small scar that runs through his left brow. Elias can usually be seen dressed in old jeans, form fitting tank top, a black tattered leather jacket when weather permits,and equally ragged combat boots.

Personality in a nutshell: Reliable, passionate, devoted, daring, and just a tad bit impulsive. To put things simply Elias is a guard dog. Protective of those he actually cares for and a real thorn in the side for those he does not. This rule is doubly so when it comes to his five year old daughter and his aging father. His mouth has gotten him into more trouble than he ever cares to admit and his quarrelsome tendencies do not help much either. However, Elias is far from a hothead, in fact, he's quite the opposite. Elias is a pretty laid-back individual. He rather enjoys the company of others- craves it even. His biggest downfall would have to be his actions are mostly based on his emotions. When it comes to thinking before acting he flounders. Often letting his emotions get the better of him at that moment and then regretting it later. Elias is pretty tough and can take a hit. His time boxing has molded him into a formidable opponent in a fight. However, when it comes to a battle of the minds he falls short.

McConaughan is a 37-year-old man with a seemingly permanent scowl on his face. The combination of his thick brows and scruffy beard give him a gruff appearance—and he likes it that way. He is a hulking brute of a man, although he is not the tallest, with the thick figure of a wrestler. His hair is copper colored with light brown eyes to match. Clothing-wise, McConaughan prefers muted and dark colors that allow him to blend into his surroundings easier for hunting purposes. He can often be seen wearing military-style long jackets, steel-toed boots, and a crossbow slung across his back.
Personality
Alignment: Lawful Neutral McConaughan is an extremely stern individual who views himself as a soldier for the people. He feels very protective of those who cannot defend themselves, such as children or the elderly, and sees the supernatural as a threat to humanity. Though it is his goal to cull the supernatural population, he takes no pleasure killing them, seeing it as a necessary evil; a duty thrust upon him by God.

Lucian appears to be in his early thirties with sandy blond hair that provides little contrast to his dusky olive skin. His green eyes are prominent in nature, protruding slightly in a way that creates shadowy lower lids common in Middle Eastern ethnic groups. His nose is also quite noticeable from a profile view and has a gentle downward slope. Something about his eyes and smile often convey to strangers that he is in a perpetual state of contentment.

Origin
Lucian came into existence in ancient Israel, around 7,000 years ago. It is not pretension that the phrase "came into existence" is used rather than "turned" because he was never human. Indeed, if he was, he cannot remember it. Nor was he born. Out of divine magic Lucian was created and, as such, he is a progenitor—the very first vampire of a line.

Nate is the sole owner of the Redhaven Bar and Grille. He opened the bar in cooperation with James William Shaib in 1962 and has kept it in operation ever since Shaib passed away in 2003. Even though Nate is getting on in years, he refuses to let his family take ownership from him and try to ship him down to a retirement home in Florida. He employs a mixed staff of mundane and supernatural workers- two dishwashers, six servers, four cooks and three bartenders (including himself).
While many places of business are engaged in a public frenzy of denying service to creatures that may be literally (or at least legally) seen as no longer human, Nate couldn't give two damns. If you pay, you get served- and anyone who has a problem with that can take it up with him.
When not at the Redhaven Bar, Nate lives off the beaten track in the New Hampshire foothills.

Though her once skinny arms and legs have gained lean muscle, giving her a slender and athletic appearance. She tends to dress in modern, high end fashion and slightly conservative. She feels most comfortable in clothing that drapes over her small frame and small amounts of jewelry--especially with her natural aversion to silver. Winter fashion compliments her pale, freckled skin and full dark lips. She has sharp eyes, deep grey-blue in color, generally accented with heavy and dark makeup. Elara has moderately thick eyebrows, adding to her intense and sharp features, the same color as her long dark hair. It's naturally extremely curly, but she maintains it so it's straight and few people have seen her with curly hair. As a werewolf, though, Elara has more than just her humanoid form: she can transform partly, her eyes growing brighter and her teeth and nails extending into animalistic weapons. Her ears grow pointed and her muscles bulge as she takes on a more aggressive persona. If she takes her transformation further, black coarse hair covers her body as her face changes into that of a wolf's. She grows taller and stronger, hands and feet turning into paws. In this form, she is a typical werewolf, if smaller, making her relatively week. Aside from the werewolf form, Elara is also capable of turning into a simple wolf, a shape shifting-like ability likely induced by the magic she had as a witch. Like her werewolf form, the wolf is relatively small with dark fur and bright grey eyes.

BACKGROUND
Abandoned as a baby witch in America, Elara was adopted by an older French couple that had struggled with conceiving a child of their own. This was well before people new about the supernatural world, and her parents were surprised when Elara started showing her abilities for magic. Looking back, Elara is impressed in how the Decauxs handled their little witch. While she was strictly forbidden to practice it off the property, her parents were hesitantly supportive of her strange powers. Her mother went so far as to seek out other witches to her daughter to learn from while keeping well under wraps from the rest of high society. Needless to say, a lot of money went into her education--on and off the books. Through her teenage and college years, she remained spoiled but encouraged to grow intelligent and powerful. She lived the luxurious life of an heir without much of a care in the world. In addition, she always had a potential suitor--either found in her everyday or introduced to her by her parents--but none quite stuck. She preferred having friends, and the potential of being used for her money was always a scary thought for her--not to mention having to disclose the fact that she was a witch.

However, while acting as his protégé, he was confronted with accusations of embezzlement on multiple accounts. They didn't act like it, but neither she or her mother were surprised, and Elara knew her and her family's future could be at stake. So without even hesitating, she stepped up to the plate to put her magic to the test. Using her powers to erase evidence and meddle with minds and numbers, she was able to twist the story and free her guilty father from suspicion. With the family happily reunited and Elara proven to be a powerful weapon, they didn't quite learn their lesson. Instead, they sought more--unknowingly catching the attention of other supernaturals.
Encouraged by her parents to continue after the close call, Elara started to sit on more of her parents' meetings with clients and business partners. With her magic, she continued to meddle into their minds, creating deals that heavily favored the Decauxs at the cost of whomever went in with them. They came into ownership of the rarest art pieces. They bought out companies for much less than they were actually worth and over the course of several years, they became one of the wealthiest and most powerful families in France. Elara started taking on more and more responsibility, adjusting well to her role that would one day be head of the Decaux family. Her parents were older, after all, since they had waited so long to adopt a baby.
The Decauxs accumulated large sums of money thanks to Elara's deceptive magic. However, it all came to an end after the assassination. Once people realized magic and monsters existed in the world, powerful people came forward against the Decauxs with suspicions toward their strange adopted daughter. Among the people they had to deflect suspicion from was a werewolf: nothing like one you'd see in the movies. He wasn't hairy or feral, but rather sharply dressed and too cleanly shaven. He was the pack leader of the French 'wolves, but part of an older and larger European pack alliance, a superpower not only in the supernatural world, but the human world as well. To her parents, he offered to erase the mess caused by magic with a minimum sentence in prison to the father if Elara never used her magic again.While her parents agreed, Elara silently did not.
She would not let her family be torn apart and her magic taken away. As the case against Pierre Decaux was handled in court, Elara secretly used her magic to tamper with evidence in her father's favor. However, she was up against a powerful pack of werewolves and their witch allies. She was instantly discovered and punished: by the end of the case, both her parents were imprisoned on accounts of fraud, embezzlement, blackmail, and more. And Elara, who was never supposed to use her magic, lost the ability to use it all. She was turned into a werewolf by the same man who had visited her family, and then exiled from the pack for breaking the deal.
After that, with funds frozen, she struggled to make a living for herself without her parents. She jumped between waitressing jobs in France, saving as much money as she could to leave the country. While beaten for now, she didn't plan to just lie over and take to the rules of some dumb wolf. She would go to America, find her birth mother who must be a witch, and take back her silver throne. Now, she resides in Redhaven as a bartender until she figures out her next move.

Strengths: Internet Stardom - Having been a particularly popular internet personality and streamer, she has social connections in news stations and the higher ups in popular video and streaming websites. Unknown to her, she also is the focus of an internet based mini-cult comprised of hackers and normal folks determined to keep her safe from anything that might pose a threat, be it legal or illegal.
Extremely Flexible - exercises, a decent diet and her newfound vampirism means she can practically fold herself into any shape physically possible for the human body.
Extremely athletic - slow to tire, she was high energy even before her vampirism. Free running and 'parkour' have become hobbies, and there is little one can do to catch her in a city setting, even if she doesn't have any fancy vampiric flying or jumping.

Iron Allergies - Pure iron, while not technically harmful, will severely weaken her. This, due to the iron in blood, means that she is considerably weak and venerable while feeding.
