James "Duckie" Markham

"What is a Nakki some kinda fish? Is she some sort of shape shiftier?" James asked Evren wanting to know who she was and why she was so attached to Evren. "So what's the skive? Why are you two in the pig pen?" He asked them wanting to know why they had just walked out of the police station.

"And who was that scary lookin Asian fella that was talking to that cute police lady?" He asked watching Beck leaving and just shrugging it off. Puffing more of his cigar staring at the two with his black empty sockets. "Hi don't at me like I'm lunch, As you can tell I don't got much meat to eat" Laughing at his little joke looking over at Aava.

-------------------

Hayato Nijimura

Hayato after he had called his associate started to walk back towards a local bar, To meet another Yazuka member to meet and discuss where to find the culprit. Once he finally arrived at the bar he noticing their was alot of unsavory types near the bar and booths. Speaking with his associate gaining some information about where the vampire could be he would first have to get some weapons form his "Friends".

Thanking his Yazuka brother before leaving the bar, Making his way towards a small apartment near the outskirts of the city. Giving out a strange knock on the door as the door opened up revealing a short stocky looking man with pale skin, "Hello sir, Are you mister Nijimura?" The strange looking man spoke as Hayato nodded and was then let inside.

Their business was brief as he was given the weapons he would need to kill a vampire, Although he had killed vampires before with his bare hands so he thought he weapons would be unnecessary. However the weapons would be a great help to him.

Paying the sickly looking man and leaving taking the car for travel that would also be given to him with the weapons. Making his way towards he apartment in hopes the culprit would be there. He was going to kill her he knew she would not go quietly, And the police woman did not say to bring her alive.

Evren shook himself out of his stunned silence to hear Aava and Duckie talking over each other. ”(No, Hannelore is a friend. A good friend.)” he said softly as he tried extract himself from Aava’s grip. He did his best to unpack what Duckie was saying, but being hundreds of years old made him a little deaf to good-natured humor even in the best of times. ”A näkki is kind of like a siren, and we had a run in with a wolf this morning. But everything is fine now, and I don’t know who you’re talking about.”
Evren finished his statement a bit curtly; he was a bad liar. With a cooling sigh he gave each of them a small but tired smile. ”I had a few things to get in town. Would you join us, James?” he asked with what cheer he could summon. ”(Want to go to town?)”

Beck found herself on the other side of town after clearing her mind with some aimless driving. She pulled into a gas station and navigated to the diesel pumped. Even with a hybrid, joyriding was a bad habit.
She spaced out a bit as she topped off the tank, taking in her surroundings and finding herself just down from the road from where she left Vanessa. Probably not a bad idea to send a text; she had her number, it was only the polite thing to do.
Hope you’re healing up nicely.

Aava frowned and made faces at the skeleton, quite confused by his existence. Usually bones didn't move...
Evren tried to assure that Hannelore was a good friend, but Aava pouted in response.
"(She may be a friend, but I don't like her, I don't,)" Aava huffed in return. Not after she had shouted at Evren. Nobody shouted at Evren. Except maybe Aava herself, the näkki remembered faintly. No, not even her. Aava would protect, not raise her voice. Evren always did the same, too.
"(Town...) Town? Yes, want to. I want to. Ues," Aava nodded somewhat excitedly, pleased that she was starting to piece together more of the new language. Maybe the rock to her head had jogged her stiff memory a bit or something. Or she was simply picking it up fast like usual.

Meanwhile in an apartment in Redhaven a dark haired vampire read a book on her sofa. It was a bad book, really, Vanessa didn't even know why she was still reading it. Maybe out of boredom for not being able to roam the streets, or maybe just in hopes that the book would miraculously redeem itself in the last few chapters.
Beep beep!
The sound of her ringtone alerted Nessa from her rather unpleasant reading bubble. Adjusting her reading glasses on her nose, Nessa reached for her phone to see who it was. She never recieved text messages from anyone, so this was unusual.
It was from an unknown number, but after reading the words 'Hope you're healing up nicely,' Vanessa knew exactly who the sender had been. Beck
Staring at the screen for a good two minutes, Nessa stroked her thumb over the words and contemplated whether she should answer at all. She actually intended not to answer, already putting her phone back to the table. Only to then think the better of it and bring the screen back before her, typing a curt, impersonal response.
Yes.
Looking at the three short letters a beat too long before pressing sent, Vanessa noticed her brow had been ever so slightly furrowed as it often did when she was concentrating; only as it began to strain her head did she notice.
Five minutes passed in silence.
Vanessa hadn't gone back to reading the book. She sat there still, phone in hand and stare somewhere far away, thinking. Nessa realised she was feeling quite nervous, but why? That's something she didn't have an answer to.
After another minute of charged silence, Nessa sighed as if she was giving in, opening the lockscreen once more and returning to the dry text chain to sent a double message.
Hope you're doing nicely too.
Slightly less curt, slightly friendlier. Why it mattered to Nessa, she didn't know.

"A siren sounds like my ex-wife, Although i've haven't one like her before. Is their anyone like her around?" He asked Evren listening to the rest of what he was saying. The skeleton must have thought he and the woman must have gotten into alot of trouble if they wrangled with a werewolf and the cops, "Well it seems you two were gettin into alot of hubub if you two are involved with the police, I was not born yesterday Evren" He said with a more stern town of voice.

"Yeah i would love to head into town, If you don't mind this old bag of bones to come along" He said with a smile putting out the roach of his cigar, Stomping on it with his foot.

------------------------

Hayato meanwhile was standing in front of many apartment buildings knowing this was were someone that looked like the suspect could be at, However he did not know where she lived so he would have to do some research which meant questioning people.

Walking inside one of the apartment buildings asking questions of if they knew of the recent murders of drained blood and busted ear drums.

"Of course you can come along, James." Evren replied politely. He took Aava's hand and gently lead his friends down the next street over. This was another cobblestone road with like sidewalks, and a few cars parked at meters. The historic red-brick buildings had lost some of their sheen in the decades and centuries since their construction, but still had a sturdiness that lent some aura of strength to those who came and went from the businesses. Small ethnic groceries and cafes dotted the way, along with a book store, an electronics repair shop, and a used clothing resale. Down the road was a nice looking apartment building and a park.
Evren gave Aava's hand a light squeeze to get her attention. "(Remember, we are not hunting. The mortals outnumber us, we must be careful.)" He paused a moment, "(Are you alright?)"
need anything? i'm nearby
Beck pursed her lips; that sounded a little creepy. But maybe she was overthinking it.
at the gas station. going back to boston for a few days, this town bites lol
Flawless recovery. She tossed her phone onto the passengers seat and drove out of the gas station parking lot and down the road. She had a few things to get from the grocery store on the next block. She stopped at a stop sign next to the bar where she'd last seen Vanessa, and taking a lazy glance out her window, she was more than surprised to see Hayato disappear into the building beside it. What the hell was he up to? She backed up to parallel park and took her phone again as she got out of the car, cautiously trailing the werewolf.
@KiwiTime
Lucian peered out of his window. He'd only just finished cleaning up the mess Evren and Aava had left in his apartment. The conspicuous trail of dirt and water that lead down his fir escape didn't make for a very easy conversation with the policemen who came to pick up the body. He'd been about half honest; some vampires came to him looking for help, but left in a hurry before he could ask what was the matter, and he'd never seen the body but had heard some shouting just after he must have died. He lived above a bar, of course he didn't think anything of a little yelling match.
Two murders last night, a werewolf and a Holy Guard. Stay out of trouble, they like to frame whelps for this kind of thing. he sent a text to Savannah, a new blood he knew in town. Whelps, new bloods, it was all the same; they could be meddlesome, especially famous ones. Besides meddlesome they made very good scapegoats when an Orlok was too slick to be caught.

James was walking along with them noticing some bookstores and wondered if any of his jokes and career was documented in books, He wondered if he was remembered as a state known comedian or wondered if his death would be noted somewhere in a true crime book. "Hi kids mind if we head to that book store?" He asked pointing to a mom and pop looking book store, He preferred these kind of stores since the prices were better and had better selections of books.

Mostly though he was trying to look for anything about himself, And if their was anything on sirens he could learn. "I'm here for ya too kiddo, If ya nee my help of course" He said to Aava with a strange sort of smile for a skeleton.

-------------------------------

Hayato meanwhile was going form apartment building to different apartments, He had not gotten the information he was looking for. All the people around him seemed to either not know anything or too afraid to talk about it or speak to him. What seemed like 40 mins Hayato felt like he was getting no where and was about to give up.

He made his way outside of one of the many apartment buildings not noticing that Beck was following him, Stopping for just a moment to start smoking a cigarette with his back turned towards Beck. He was hoping that his associate was not messing with him and was just leading him on a wild goose chase.

Beck kept some distance from Hayato; he didn’t seem to know what he was looking for. She decided to take a risk, and leaned against the opposite side of the streetlight and sent a quick text to Vanessa. there’s a werewolf stalking your street, dude. look out front if u can.
“You’re out early.” Beck noted aloud to get the Yakuza’s attention after putting her phone away. “Heard on the radio about your friend; I still don’t like you, but I know you’re not a liar now. Why stick around Redhaven?”

Vanessa, looking at the response she recieved from Beck, wasn't quite sure how to answer. Was this a time she should respond? How would one even respond to that?
She didn't have the time to cook up an appropriate response when she recieved a new text.
A werewolf? Stalking her? Was Beck messing with Nessa? Frowning, the ravenette typed a haste answer.
How'd you know?
Still, even as she was not fully convinced, Vanessa got up and put her guard up. Just in case.

Aava walked behind Evren, hand clasped tightly onto his. The changing scenery was peculiar, Aava couldn't get enough of it. It was all weird and new and wonderful.
"(I get it. No hunting. Not even a taste)," Aava nodded even as she looked at the passers-by, her mouth watering ever so slightly.
"(I am fine, I am confused though. I don't know where the lake is)," Aava mused, looking at Evren and the skeleton man, although the latter couldn't understand.

Hayato turned around to the voice speaking to him, Seeing it was that woman that stopped him form killing those bastards that killed his friend."I got some business with a vampire and that is all you gotta know" He said staring at her taking a big drag of his cigarette. "And why i'm still in this shit hole of a town, I think you can guess by my occupation why i'm still here" He said though gritted teeth staring at her.

It seemed he was not going to give her a straight answer, So she would have to change up her tactics and try to manipulate him for information somehow.

“Oh! Ha! James, that’s very funny!” Evren stopped to laugh at what Duckie called them. “Calling us kids. The nerve!”
So the trip wandered to the bookstore, getting a lot of weird glances and looks along the way. Redhaven was a small town, so many passersby were at least a little bit familiar with Duckie, but it was certainly quite confronting to meet a skeleton on your way to work. Aava attracted a fair many stares as well, green hair trailing on the sidewalk and still a bit damp from the cup of water, but next to a literal ghoul she wasn’t so startling. A lot of pedestrians crossed the street to avoid passing the three undead, and cars slowed to a near halt so drivers could gawk at them. Evren seemed a bit uncomfortable at the attention but did his best to ignore it.
They entered the bookstore through a quite residential-looking aluminum screen door, which Evren cordially held open for his friends. Inside it was historic and dim, with built in shelves of dark wood along the walls, stuffed with books old and new. A trilling chime sounded as they entered, getting the attention of a young woman at a counter a few meters away. She looked up at them and immediately looked away, seeming a little scared as she returned to her book.
”(Would you like a book, Aava?)” Evren asked. He wasn’t sure what Aava had been doing for four hundred years, or even precisely where she’d been, but it was a safe assumption that she’d kept away from society. ”(Nearly all I do now is read. I could teach you, or just read something to you.)”
Beck crossed her arms and turned away from Hayato, casually leaning against a nearby streetlight. ”I don’t know who you work for, old man. I just heard the news this morning on my radio.” she said, pushing a twist of hair behind her ear. ”All I know is that hunting vampires is my game, and I’m wondering why you’re playing.”

James came into the bookstore with the two, Not caring that people were staring at him, "What you never seen a famous comedian before, Take a picture if ya wanna stare? But it'll cost ya" He said to the people staring at him as he walked into the bookstore. Walking into the bookstore and heading into the comedy section wanting to see if their was any books about him. Sure it seemed narcissistic of him but he was curious if he made a impact of some kind in the entertainment world.

With his empty eye sockets he scanned the spines of the books noticing a book about comedian's of the 40's and 50's, Opening up the book and scanning the content list to find his name. He did indeed find his name and the section about him and his partner Jeremiah Smith, A big smile appeared on his face seeing a picture of himself and his partner. Thinking back to when him and his partner would do skits making people laugh, This made himself sniffle a little with tears but the tears of course would never come.

Reading what happened to Jeremiah seeing him becoming a well known Comedian who did more solo gigs, Eventually becoming a actor and dying of lung cancer three years ago. He had to close the book putting it away before he burst out in tears. Heading towards another section looking for a book about Sirens.

-----------------------------------------------

"If ya wanna know then ask your police friends who want this guy, I know they would want him alive but i don't give a shit. I'm sure they would be happy with another freak off the streets" He said smiling and cracking his neck looking over at Beck. "Although if you work with them then why ain't you hunting this guy?" He asked her wondering if she knew the prep.

If yes or no then it didn't matter to him as he was going to bring in the guy or kill him and bring the corpse to the police, And then hopefully they will let him off the hook or give him info on the two that killed his friend.

Aava

@Kinjaav

Evren laughed at the skeleton man for something he'd said, and Aava joined despite not understanding all of it. Her laugh sounded almost high pitched, still gurgling but more human than before, quite like her appearance.
The book shop was old. Dust could be seen as a thin film on top of the books that were the highest on the shelves. Aava gaped at the many books, wondering what they were. She decided it was safest to stick to Evren's side if something unexpected attacked them, so Aava held Evren's hand and kept the skeleton man close too.

"(Book? For me?)" Aava asked in return, her eyes big and curious. A smile took over her face, revealing the sharp teeth that told her apart from a human. "I want to... Learn," Aava nodded slowly, her gaze turning to face the skeleton man to see if her words had made any sense. "(Read me something!)" Aava exclaimed happily, pulling a random book from a shelf and offering it to Evren.

When they’d met in Finland, Evren could read German and Latin but he wasn’t sure Aava had ever known how to read at all; when they met, Finnish was only a spoken language, any writing of the time was in Swedish. Even so he was confident that he could teach Aava to read. She had a supernatural knack for speech and language, how much of a leap could sounding out syllables be?
He took the book Aava had chosen; it was a black and red book with an impression of a child reaching up to the branches of a tree. Evren had read it some thirty years ago at Lucifer’s suggestion when they reunited in Redhaven, along with a number of other classics that were to help catch him up with American society. He had liked it very much, though a few of the more subtle points went over his head, so now was a good time for a reread with a friend. ”To Kill a Mockingbird.” he read the title to her. ”(I think you’ll like this, I learned a lot reading it.)”
Evren returned the novel to Aava and wandered over to Duckie. He noticed the book he’d picked up and discarded, and retrieved it from the shelf. He knew his friend had been a comedian many decades ago, but he wasn’t wholly sure what that meant. ”Something from your time, James? Did you write this?” He flipped briefly through it before taking notice of what Duckie’s attention had turned to. He scanned the nearby shelves with books of various mythologies and saw a slim paperback book tucked in between two collections of Norse epics. Evren laughed lightly when he saw it. ”Aha, that’s what I mean! Nœkken.”

“Because I don’t take orders from anyone.” Beck retorted, intending to be scathing but coming off a bit juvenile. “The cops don’t tell me what to do; in fact, they follow me because I’m the best at what I do.” She felt her phone buzz but didn’t answer the text.

"Nah it's one of those biography written by someone else, Pretty sure it was written long after i died.Ya see the picture with me and my old partner?" He asked Evren looking though the book about Sirens. "Me and Jeremiah had one hell of a time together, We us to make people laugh till their busted a gut. Man i miss that son of a gun" He spoke sounding like he was going to cry but of course he could not.

James was reading the book about sirens, Finding the legends and everything about the to be fascinating. "So chief you probably know alot Sirens, What is that dame like? She's not gonna try and sink my ship or anything?" He asked Evren about Aava. James was curious about her and wanted to know more about her.

--------------

"Well even if that is the case you best just walk about, Because unlike last time your cop friends ain't gonna help you" He said staring her down, "And why are you here anyway? You know the guy? Or do you really like me?" He asked her with a big smile on his face. He wanted to know if his hunch were correct and Beck knew the guy he was after.

A regular ring tone, that was definitely what the sound that gently echoed throughout the darkened livingroom, and definitely not an audio clip of Savannah screaming incomprehensibly on stream. At least the girl was confident, if not a bit narcissistic. Nikki sighed to herself as she picked up Savannah's phone, quickly putting in her own birth-date with practiced ease as she read the text.

"Two murders last night, a werewolf and a Holy Guard. Stay out of trouble, they like to frame whelps for this kind of thing."

Nikki shrugged, she didn't recognize the name in the text, but then again she didn't even remember the usernames of her own self hired moderators for Savannah's streams. She only noticed Savannah was awake when she felt the gentle prickling of fangs against her unused arm. Nikki raised an eyebrow at the messy haired mess still laying in her lap, absentmindedly pressing her fangs against the flesh, only stopping just before causing pain. "Ey, you didn't go and eat anybody while I wasn't looking did you?"

Savannah shrugged for a moment, giving one last gentle squeeze with her fangs before answering. She described a long time ago what she just did, saying that, for lack of a better term 'her teeth get itchy'. "You know I'm a picky eater, why?"

"Nothing, some Lucian guy or whatever just texted you, an overgrown dog and a wannabe templar died last night. Said you should keep out of trouble, cops are racist."

Savannah giggled at Nikki's crude rewording, standing slowly with a yawn and stretch, the kind that makes your whole body shudder at it's peak."Well, I don't have anything to do, so you want to come with me? I'll text em and see if he wants to meet up."
Savannah snatched up her phone, watching Nikki stand slowly, her bare upper half distracting her for a split second before going to her phone.

'Sounds bad! I hope we can find out who did it, I mean It might just be being a so called whelp, but I don't have anything against werewolves, and those Holy Guard are just... well everybody can be human if they want to be, you know? I don't want anybody to be hurt needlessly.'

'Anyways, you wanna meet up? I need to get out of the house while I still have time off my upload schedule.'

"Hurry up and get in the shower, everything is ready and you need to eat before we leave."

Savannah grinned as she tossed the phone onto the couch. She literally had no idea what she would do without Nikki. She remembered meal times, fixed any difficulties with her recordings and streams, was almost constantly working on editing her videos. Nikki was the world to her and they both knew it. Even after Savannah first turned, in the scariest moment of both of their lives, Nikki refused to leave her side.

_______________

"So, tell us, it was comparably not that long ago when you were turned Savannah, do you remember it?"

Savannah winced, turning away from their host as Nikki squeezed her hand.

"She can't remember much, from what she told me it was rather... well it was difficult. You must understand that just like people there can be different kinds of vampires, some can feed from anybody and anything with a pulse, some are restricted to people, and others like Savannah are even restricted to one specific person." Nikki was upset, a fact that the tone of her voice and the stone mask that was her face, hid. She began rolling up her sleeve.

"I don't have anything against vampires, wolves, or even people close minded enough to call themselves 'hunters' But everybody can make a mistake. I firmly hope that everybody, not just vampires, can realize that any hope of peace relies entirely on us working together as a people, because otherwise? When a random teenager is attacked in the street and hobbles home torn open and barely holding herself together? Barely alive? This happens... this is caused by ignorance, not vampires."

Nikki turned slightly, showing the massive scar on her inner arm near her wrist in the shape of a human bite-mark, two very obvious, deeper gashes drawing in the camera onto the scar.

Bring your companion, I’d love to finally meet her. I’ll treat for breakfast. Pamela’s?
Lucian set his phone down on his coffee table and sat back on his plush sofa, elbows on his knees and fingers interlocked. He rested his chin on his clasped hands and let out a tired sigh. He was a man of secrets, but with the supernatural being normalized he often felt terribly vulnerable. In some ways it was a good thing, outcasted peoples were able to connect with each other more easily than ever, and while there was invaluable safety in numbers there was perhaps more in shadow. He knew that better than anyone else.
He'd founded Redhaven, created a place where vampires could hide securely from the world. At one time their peaceful coven had hundreds of brothers and sisters; he was the only one left now. Children of the blood remained, descended of Those First but distanced from their ancestry; distanced from the heritage that lay solely within Lucian's own blood. That was how he saw it, anyway.
It was odd to see new bloods living so openly. For someone so old this was very new, almost uncomfortable territory. Certainly uncomfortable. Especially with the Guard of the Holy Spirit running amok and with so much public support from weak-minded mortals, whelps who were too young and honest stood to lose a lot for mistakes they didn't make.
Girlfriend. Sorry, I’m showing my age.

@Eviledd1984@Cio

"You were very handsome, if you don't mind me saying so." Evren said softly. "I know what you mean, though, James. Living too long and losing too many, I suppose it's in our nature." He spoke generally about the undead, knowing his statement was empty and impersonal but lacking a real answer to Duckie's grief. Instead he quietly read the passage Duck had pointed him to, wondering what ever came of this Jeremiah.
Evren finished reading as Duckie asked his questions about sirens. "She's like a siren. She's a näkki, from a lake in Finland. If there's anything you want to know, though, you can just ask her." Evren looked back to Aava and asked her to join them.
In the past, in Finland, Aava certainly knew when she was speaking a foreign tongue. Though he was sure now that his friend was cognizant of the world around her (at least for the most part), her manner of speaking seemed unconscious, as if some control had gotten away from her.

"Ya know i use to have nice big head of dark brown hair, I was the cute one of the duo while Jerry was the serious straight man to our act" He said laughing to himself, Thinking for a moment of himself chatting up with woman making them laugh and getting their phone number to call them later. "Well i guess it couldn't hurt to, I do have to say this book is pretty informative" He said pointing to the book he was reading with his bone finger, The book was about Sirens and other female supernatural creatures. Handing the book to Evren before walking a bit to where Aava.

"Hi tall wet and handsome, I was wondering if you could tell me about Sirens? Are their others around? Do you like hanging around piers singing to men? What do you guys eat? Where do you sleep, If you even sleep at all?" He asked being generally curious since he has not seen a Siren before.

Aava seemed very happy of her book choice, especially after Evren approved it. The näkki was smiling like a child in a candyshop, following behind Evren and tangling her dragging hair in dust, bookshelves and corners. It was starting to look a bit ugly at the tails of her hair, the part that kept dragging on the ground was full of kinks, twigs and all sorts of trash bits.
Aava hummed as she looked at the books, ignoring Evren and the skeleton man's conversations as she didn't really comprehend them.

When the skeleton man walked to Aava and began speaking, Aava was startled at first, looking at him dead in the eyes, her big eyes boring into his eyesockets. Then confusion began to take over, and Aava slowly cocked her head to the side as she mulled over the words, trying to make them seem sense. It was still a bit patcy, but some things Aava could understand.
"Am not... a siren," Aava stated, her English sounding very thick, all the consonants sharp. "I sing. And play. I play with child. I eat child. And man. I sleep in my lake. My lake is best lake," Aava nodded proudly, her language skills still a bit patchy but understandable nonetheless.
"Aava... Aava likes to eat child who swim in my lake. Their flesh... fresh!"
Aava smiled at the skeleton man, a big, toothy grin that showed off her jagged teeth. Even though she looked considerably more human now, the teeth had remained the same.
"Just me, my lake. My... area... only my. Other näkki have other lake."

Vanessa was a bit worried, now. She hadn't gotten an answer from Beck - Beck, who was apparently somewhere outside of her apartment. Was the woman stalking her? Or had she just happened to be around, and now was trying to look out for her? Pfft. Nessa didn't need help from anyone. That's what her pride always told her.
Sighing and limping around her apartment, Nessa gathered things into a backpack - essentials, blood from the fridge, money and the horrible book she'd been reading. Everything in case Beck was right and she'd have to make a haste exit.
Walking to the window facing to the street, Vanessa tried to discreetly peer through it as if to see if she was in danger for real. There she saw two figures - one very familiar, belonging to Beck, and a man she did not recognise but was clearly in the middle of a conversation with Beck. Nessa's fight or flight began tingling, her nerves telling her there was indeed something wrong and that she needed an escape. Taking out her phone, she texted Beck again and stared out the window to see if the woman would respond.
'Who is that guy?'

James "Duckie" Markham

Duckie looked at her watching her talking about her self but a look of disgust came onto his face, From was when she told him she ate children. He had seen alot of messed up things as a ghoul but killing children was something he could not stomach, "Know what i think i was better not knowing anything about you, I gotta go old timer i think i gotta hurl" He said to Evren looking back at Aava with a glare before leaving. He was glad he did not get too angry and punched the Siren.

James left the bookstore wanting to get some fresh air of some kind, All that other information seem to not registered with him as the killing children had gotten to him. A thought came into his head of Jeremiah's daughter a cute blonde haired girl named Ida, The thought of Ida's dead body or being torn apart while screaming for his father made him feel uneasy.

“I don’t work for the cops, I don’t work for anyone!” Beck squawked. She felt her phone buzz again and realized all at once she was just being taunted, and he was really getting to her. With a restrained sigh she composed herself enough to walk away. “Whatever, man. Good luck hunting, if anyone needs it it’s you.”
She turned on her heel and returned to her vehicle, taking out her phone and reading Vanessa’s texts. Safely in the driver’s seat she responded, trying to be inconspicuous when she looked back to the row of buildings in case Hayato was still watching her.
werewolf. hes looking for vampires.
Beck casually drove out of Hayato’s view, rounding the next corner and to the other side of the block, scanning the area carefully to see if there were any alleyways that might connect back to where she’d left Vanessa.
