Short description of the Senator.
O'Keemi is diminutive at only 1 meter (3 feet). She is very slight of build. Don’t let this fool you she isn’t afraid to speak her mind. She is predominantly a beautiful sunset orange-red color. She has white on the underpart of her muzzle and it sweeps up to above her eyebrows so that the orange-red makes a blaze pattern down to her nose. It sweeps down her throat and her chest. Her hands and feet are a deep brown almost black from about halfway up her forearms and to her knees. Her eyes are a deep blue that seems almost black and are thickly lashed. Her neck fur and tail are thick and shiny. Her neck fur is kept longer than most in back and on the sides before it turns white. She never hides her tail and it is always well groomed like the rest of her. She wears very striking colors, the better to be seen.Brief report on career, both within and outside politics.
Senator T'Sombe's career has been a hotbed of activity since she was an up and coming Lobbyist and not yet a Senator. She is wildly popular with displaced peoples of every race. She is especially popular with her own people the Amaran. She has taken a controversial approach to the lack of representation that her people’s voice. She took this a step father and has spoken out against segregation of species and is tenacious about her beliefs and those of her followers that no one species is better than another. She has fought for better living conditions for refugees from the sacking of Coruscant most recently. She makes a point to visit the sites, with a heavy escort of course, that will be used to house immigrants but nature preserves that are erected. She is very intelligent and friendly. She uses her deceptive appearance of being “cute and cuddly” to her advantage.Outside politics she is a breeder of Massiffs, Threnbees and Suubatars. Massiffs are creatures that can be found across the galaxy. They are used as pets and guards. Thernbees are fearsome beasts with psychic abilities. They are hairy and have giant teeth and large claws, similar to a lion or wolf. They are generally quite playful creatures and are often kept as pets, though are also used as watchdogs. They possess numbing saliva. The suubatar is a riding beast, native to the grasslands of Ansion. Suubatars are 6 m (19.7 ft) tall, and can travel at an impressive speed on their six muscular legs. They are omnivores, and feed equally well on large fruit and small prey. She took over her parents facility and has expanded on this by adding a pack of Threnbees that she got in a rather shrewd deal that involved a rather large portion of a nest egg. She is still replenishing that nest egg but counts it as worth it due to the increase in profits.

I was born on Amar. My father had a zoo, at least that’s what my mother called it. We weren’t wealthy but we were well off. I was one of those kids that would invite everyone over to make sure they were fed. It drove my mother crazy. Basically when you ask me how long I’ve felt like I need to help the answer is since I can remember.When you grow up like that you don’t expect that about ten years later to be loading as many people into a ship as you can fit. Barely knowing how to pilot the craft and getting to another planet. I was sure right then that I was going to do something important. If I could keep it together...literally. I grabbed a junker.
We got lucky. Really lucky. My parents had taught me the basics of how to fly and the rest was...sheer luck? Anyway, so we were luckier than most. My dad was able to get a hold of a few Massiffs that were good stock. Things got even better when he invested in Suubatars. Things really took off from there and they sent me off to University. Societies of the Galaxy Major was... eye opening.
I quickly fell in with a few like minds from the University and we picked up refugees and shuttled them to a safer place. That was about a year and a few months. Then I got this feeling that I should quit. I did. Come to find out on the next raid they all died. Pirates. I helped quite a few refugees find better conditions and some of them worked for me. Some still do, especially now.
I was lobbying for better refugee conditions for displaced people and before I knew it I was in interviews about the lobbyists ideals. Pretty soon it was just like it was a year prior but more people knew my name this time. I was hailed as a hero and had people telling the press that I had saved them, put a roof over their heads and got them on their feet.
Apparently word had gotten out about my exploits to refugee areas. I was praised as a hero within weeks. Unbeknownst to me I had actually saved the former Senator’s grandson, as well as his wife a cousin to the royal family. Who turned around and nominated me after the publicity. With the support I had why not do something to change things.
I was green but determined to make things better for everyone everywhere. Then there was the Treaty of Coruscant. I hated that we had to make the concessions that we did. We didn’t protect enough people from them, and it kills me. People who could be free. Next time I’ll lean more on my constituents. Next time...
